As a 51-year-old British man visiting the States for the first time, I was really excited to check out Waffle House after hearing so many stories about it. Initially, I was a bit disappointed; I was just sitting quietly, enjoying my hash browns and coffee while everything felt pretty normal. Then, out of nowhere, a woman screamed, "STOP EMAILING MY MAN!!" Suddenly, two large women were engaged in a full-on brawl right by the counter. One even hit the other over the head with a napkin holder! Just like that, everything returned to normal. The staff didn't even seem fazed. This WH is down the street from my work, I have been there at least 8 times and I have yet to receive an accurate order. This morning in addition to the inaccuracy they were also slow. It took them 20 mins to make this and two waffles, (ordered one with pecans, one with out but got two plain waffles), this is supposed to be hashbrowns light smothered covered and chunked with two over easy eggs. What I got was hard hashbrowns, eggs over medium and hard, and no ham. Meanwhile the guy cooking has his ear buds in. It's no wonder the ratings are so low for this place. I'm so glad my friend decided to have our brunch here! I really like the staff they are down to Earth and have 2nd mile service. The server was like if I do your food you have to give me a tip if not I won't do it cause the cooks not here I didn't have a problem with it until the cook came back so while we were paying we didn't give her a tip cause the cook made our food not her. Plus tip is optional I was gonna tip her until the cook said something to her (I didn't hear) and then she was talking out loud saying that "I don't care, they ain't gonna get any extra condiments " I responded and said " why you do that?" Left a review on Google too! That's how angry this made me. I don't usually go out my way to leave a bad review but this guy was rude AF. This place is supposed to be open 24 hours! I went in around 4 AM and before I could even get to the door the cook waved me away through the window. However there were about five people inside waiting for their order and one person got a togo order as I was being turned away! They all actually turned to look at who he was telling not to come inside. It felt weird and uncomfortable...like I was being singled out. All I wanted was bacon and eggs before I started my long day at work. Just something to get my day started. It was frustrating especially seeing other ppl allowed inside to get food but not me. This is a new location, and the service reflected it! Compared to other Waffle House locations in the vicinity, this one, by far, has produced the best service. A business associate and myself came to this location to eat, and when we first came, the table where we were sitting was dirty. However, within about 2 minutes, a waiter came over and wiped the table down without me having to say a word! Then, the same waiter served us promptly (as soon as we sat down), and we ordered our food and drinks. Within 5 minutes, we received our drinks, and then within about 10 minutes, we received our food. All food was well cooked (ham and cheese omelette with toast and hash browns; steak dinner for my business associate), and tasted as good as is expected from Waffle House. I will have to come back a few more times to see how consistent the service is, but thus far, service is good, and the place is clean and new! read more

We were greeted when we entered it was busy for a Sunday we walked up and placed a Togo order All Star meal and a hash brown bowl which was so hot. The food was made to order and everything was piping hot I live like 6 minutes from the WH when I got home the food was still nice and hot which made me want to return. Four stars may be too generous but, the kitchen is not very well kept. There's grime on the cooler doors (they look like they haven't been cleaned in awhile, actually). There was trash on the floors behind the counter, two waitresses left and did not wash anything! The server was nice, at least. The one (and only) cook cooking our food, Damien I believe his name is, didn't let the waitress know our food was ready. By the time it got to me and my family, it was either cold or lukewarm at best. I'm not sure if this cook was new or if he just doesn't care one way or the other, but that's plain ridiculous. They messed my order up multiple times before they got it right. I ordered the cheese 'n eggs platter and the lady asked "do you want cheese with your eggs?" Like no, the word cheese is just there for decoration, don't be stupid, if I literally asked for CHEESE N eggs not cheese or eggs like damn. The cooks were literally ignoring the food and they ended up burning up my hash browns and then when I asked if they could remake them, all they did was put some potato shreds on the stove and waited a few seconds, they gave me practically raw potatoes, I might as well bite into a potato instead. This was my first time going to this particular Waffle House and I am very lenient when it comes to rating restaurants.The service here was actually very good. The food was made quickly, made well, and satisfying. However, the reason that I'm giving this restaurant a one star review is because of theft. I ordered take out one night and but I could only afford one meal at the time since I had just come back from a convention and I literally had only $22 in my bank account. I ordered a steak and eggs meal to-go. Which in total should have ended up around $12 including drink and tax. I decided to leave a $0.00 tip because I ordered to-go and would not be tipping for service and also because of how much money I had left over. I left the restaurant with a receipt that should have totaled $13 and some cents. The next morning I check my bank account and I see that my account had went into the negatives. The cause? Waffle House charged me $23 for my order from the previous night. I knew right then what happened. The waitress I had placed my order with added a one in front of my $0.00 tip. This Waffle House is pretty infamous here and I wanted to give them a shot to see if people were exaggerating. I'm highly disappointed and will never go here again. Came in for a quick sit down with my son while the car was being worked on. There was people visible, but no greetings or even a mumble of a somewhat hello. So I sat at the bar with my son.The bar area was very dirty and also with the remains of someone else plate. All though the cook(young white male) did not see us at first he did take the time out of cooking to greet us. he served us our food which was fresh and hot. Enjoyed every bit! How ever the waitress(young black female with two ponytail knots in her hair) just gave me the check...still no greeting!! She mumbled something, in which I had to ask her to repeat herself twice. I knew she could speak louder because she was talking loudly to the table to the right of us. After the third time of trying to get her to speak up, I just gave up. Never received a refill even when my son asked. Still wasn't greeted when I came to pay(had to wait five mins for).
