Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern United States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. This particular Waffle House is located just next to a Best Western Plus. So if you're staying in the hotel, it is a very convenient place to grab a meal. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never having a waffle and a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try. read more

This was the first time I've been at a Waffle House, and it was amazing. With my dad, I ate breakfast at around 7, expecting to be a tad hungry afterwards. However, the portion size was great; a teenager and middle aged man couldn't finish two dishes and a side, which is kinda insane. It was very cheap, large, and tasted extremely good. The service was also amazing; Julia was very kind and attentive; you should give her a raise! Everyone else was also nice, and it was nowhere near understaffed. Overall, the restaurant was clean, just as you might expect from a sit down restaurant. Stopped at 8pm only 2 employees. A cord across the place to close service area. After waiting to be seated my husband just set down at the table, the waiter starter to fix the menu card which was from the previous customer, he ask if she could clean the table first, she had and attitude and rolled her eyes, then the other employee (cook) told the rest of us if we wanted the food to go, because they where accommodating the previous customers. Love Waffle House but this one is on the struggle bus. Waited about 15 minutes to get seated. Lots of open tables but all dirty. No one even acknowledged us. We immediately ordered when we sat down because we weren't sure how long until we would get help again. Food came out fairly quick but we still hadn't gotten our coffee. Felt bad for our server. She had way more tables then anyone else. Also had to clean all her tables and make the coffee. Not sure where the manager was in all of this, but obviously this place is very poorly managed. read more

Dependable chain consistent at most locations, and good value particularly for breakfast. If you're super hungry get the All-star breakfast. They are famous for their hash browns which you can custom add a choice of 8 different toppings into, and of course, they are known for their waffles. On an even tighter budget, try their dollar menu items. I like the cheese & eggs with raisin toast, choice of hash browns or grits. read more

How can it be, that when you go out to water breakfast you can't request a simple task of an egg over easy? Obviously this location has a poor quality chef I would recommend sitting at home and cooking at yourself. Truly disappointed with the small request, the service was very pleasant. Standard greasy food waffle house this waffle house has everything that you would want for breakfast at the price you can afford and it is definitely not healthy for you I came here to get breakfast on Wednesday there was not a lot of people inside but I did come here really early in the morning I ordered a bacon egg and cheese and it was consistent to any other bacon egg and cheese that I have ordered at any other waffle house location it was good. We don't have waffle houses up north so when I get a chance to come to this greasy spoon and get a legit bacon egg and cheese it's completely worth it again I would not come here if you were trying to watch your weight it is not the place that takes the health-conscious approach but the food is extremely good and for the price it's cheap and it fills you up. Not a great day for this location today. Apparently down a team member, but that should not have resulted in the train wreck of service. Two contributors from the casual observer. First, the girl working the counter and one booth was a worthless employee. She couldn't even clean her own tables due to her size, couldn't or refused to clean her counter stations, and the took a 20 minute bathroom break with all her stations being left cluttered. The woman who was obviously the manager chose to stay on the grill and completely neglected helping her struggling team. The saving graces were our poor waitress waiting on 9 stations and doing the best she could considering her worthless team mate and manager, and the food being good despite the wait and not being correct. read more

This is one of the worst times I have had Waffle House. There what's we're rubbery, and there grits weren't even cooked all the way. And they were Gigi bc me problems on how I wanted a waffle they made it so difficult and this one girl was really rude. read more

I am amazed by all of the service and food. I recommend this place very much. They are nice and sweet. The food is amazing the waffle that I had was homemade. It was the best waffle I had ever had. I know this is not a lot to write but it's like they are our family. I would crave this restaurant all the time and I have. I would recommend this restaurant 24/7. read more

Bad service! Walked in and all the empty tables were dirty so we had to wait for a clean table. The restaurant wasn't extremely busy. After 15 minutes with only coffee and water Our Waitress, Heather, walked right past us to an empty table.
