She was the only one working the floor, but you'd never know it. She was attentive without hovering, quick without rushing, and made sure our drinks and food arrived without a hitch. If Waffle House handed out Olympic medals for customer service, she'd be standing on the podium. For drinks, I kept it simple with water while my sister enjoyed an orange juice. My sister ordered a waffle with bacon and a side of grits. I went with the Texas Patty Melt, crispy hash browns, and a side of grits. Unfortunately, I got so focused on eating that I completely forgot to take pictures of the food. I suppose that's a pretty good sign. The food was very good. Everything was flavorful, well seasoned, and those hash browns were cooked crispy enough to make a hash brown enthusiast shed a tear of joy. She said that she would show it to her manager and make it right. My salmon returned to the table with darker grill marks and cooked well done. I was satisfied with this solution. I didn't pay for the bill, so I don't know if we were also comped for this problem. I didn't bring up the lack of lettuce since the portion I received was enough for me on the day that I visited. This visit confirmed for me that Interurban sits on par with Charleston's in the OKC metro restaurant space.
