There is nothing worse than having your 5:40 am flight delayed to 9. So I decided to kill sone time with breakfast.the food was very good. Kyle our waiter was on point and made the "awful house" not so awful and actually good. Breakfast for 3 = 30 coconuts.

It's Waffle House, so don't expect anything fancy. This location has an attentive staff, quick service and what you'd expect. Try to be there before 9:30-10am on weekends...it gets busy.

On our way to the airport and decided to grab breakfast first. We had seen this spot several times while we were exploring Dallas, so we decided to try it. It is a small spot and cashier told us we can have a seat anywhere. The menu is small and has few options on different pancakes. The food was quick and delicious. I had the chocolate chip pancake with sausage and OJ. It is good spit to grab a quick meal.

This location told me when I entered the diner that they were only doing to-go orders until 6am. This is the THIRD diner that has claimed to be 24 hours, but isn't. For a person who works night shift, this is INFURIATING. Managers beware--you're not operating your facilities as advertised.

It's Waffle House y'all. Nothin more nothin less. Saturday - Sunday there's usually a wait.

Hash Bacon Egg & Cheese Hashbrown Bowl

Never been to a Waffle House before, and heard mixed reviews, but after having gone this morning I can say at least at this location, it is superb. The staff were super welcoming and friendly, and genuine. I decided to try their Bacon Egg and Cheese hashbrown bowl, and it was only $9.50. That on top of a cup of coffee, it hit the spot. It was so nourishing and I had a hard time actually finishing it all it was so fulfilling. I would highly recommend this location and I will be coming back. God bless!

On my way to he airport and I made my first stop ever to a Waffle House. The staff was so nice, fun and very talkative . Treated myself to bacon , eggs, grits, toast and of coarse a waffle. Everything was delicious !

Waffle House is what it's supposed to be: fast, cheap, 24/7 food with a cup of coffee and a hearty dose of Americana. Until I turned 30 I don't think I ever experienced one before 1 am. Now it's a late Sunday breakfast stop with my kid. Either way, you can't go wrong with a triple order of hash browns scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, and diced. The staff at this particular Waffle House is super nice. They are friendly, even when my 5 yo is explaining his birthday guest list in full detail or asking for a third refill of OJ. They always make sure we are well looked after and full. On a related note: TIP YOUR WAFFLE HOUSE SERVER WELL. These people work insane hours, on their feet, usually super busy, and deal with a huge amount of bullshit. And somehow they still manage to be kind and friendly and care how you like your eggs. Your food probably cost less than a drive thru, there was more if it, and at full service. Tip the damn wait staff more than 20%. These people seriously deserve it.

This review focuses on the Las Colinas location. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Yolk - Las Colinas is located in a new area in Irving-Las Colinas with plenty of parking. Inside it's open with plenty of seating (some outdoors too), has Yolk's bright blue and yellow colors, but my favorite features are the big windows which let in the the sun's natural light. 1 Star. Service - Our server was great. She was very attentive and made sure we always had our mugs filled with coffee. I appreciated the friendly service that was all smiles. 1 Star. Food - Yolk's menu has classic breakfast and brunch options but be sure you check to table for coffee specials. I ordered an Iced Apple Pie Latte that was served in a glass mason jar. This small detail allowed the Apple flavor to start my breakfast on a high note. Speaking of which, my Breakfast Mac & Cheese caught my attention when it was served in a skillet. I intended to only eat half, but the smokey ham paired with the creamy mac & cheese under a light panko layer was too delicious for me to stop. The prices are a bit on the high side, but otherwise a geat meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. DFW is getting many great breakfast/brunch spots like Yolk. If you're a big fan of breakfast (and travelling on expense), it's a great way to start your day. 1 Star.

This visit we didn't get any entrees or drinks we were there for the cake. We don't have one in our state so we were ECSTATIC to find out there were a few in the metroplex area. We did go 2 out of our 4 days there. Just get the cake, ask for a middle piece. Everything is locally sourced and the whipped cream is made fresh and you can tell. Every bite is heaven. The slices are pretty big so 2 of us share one. The service is fantastic and fast. Zero complaints. We also learned on our last visit that they ship the whiskey cake.. not sure they should've told me this lmao because I will be ordering.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar - Comfort, Cocktails, and a Sweet Finish…read more A quick stop in Fort Worth to visit friends during our six-week road trip led us here, and it turned into one of those "glad we chose this place" kind of nights. The space is large, comfortable, and full of life, even on a Wednesday evening. There are cozy sofa corners if you want something a little more intimate, plus an outdoor area that's "outside"... but not too outside, which honestly feels like a win. Drinks were a highlight. My boulevardier was spot on, and then I shared a smoked Old Fashioned with my friend that was just... exquisite. Smooth, balanced, and a little dramatic in the best way. Food held its own. The chicken and waffles were delicious, the chopped chicken salad was fresh and satisfying, and my friend's Reuben got a lot of love from her side of the table. And then came dessert. We shared the Whiskey Cake with praline ice cream, and let's just say, it lives up to the name. Decadent, rich, and absolutely worth it. Service was really good. Attentive without hovering, and thoughtful in those small ways that stand out. At one point, our server split the Old Fashioned for us without us even asking. That kind of anticipation earns points. This is the kind of place you return to when you're back in town. Comfortable, reliable, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain.
