We came here after an early morning flight around 5am and every single employee was nothing but polite and attentive. Islee was our server and she took such good care of us. if i could rate no stars i would i went in around 1:45-2:30, after a successful day of living id like to think i could end it with a nice waffle in a good homey environment but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The cooks were cool & they're food was pretty good, however our server just had a bit too much sass for my liking. Even the time i looked at the bug chillen on my glass she abruptly threw a snarky comment and apologized for the bug like it was a regular thing. She had more attitude in her face than necessary & she was not shy about it. Wow. Seriously one of my worst disappointments after a great expectation. I came to wafflehouse thinking it was going to be the same as the wafflehouse here in Redondo Beach. Either that or it wuz just how they do things in Texas. Me and a few coworkers went to another coworker's wedding held in Texas and on our last day of unexpected adventures, we decided to eat somewhere close to the hotel and DFW. On arrival, it was packed. There were no seats so we had to wait, but we chose to sit at the bar so we got seated quick. It wuz my first time being in a diner where i can see the food cooked right before my eyes!And sitting at the bar was the best place to observe it. It was hustling and bustling and it felt great. I wuz beaming with anticipation, why? Cuz if it's this busy and this packed, it must be good right?! So we all ordered and waited quite awhile before we all got our food. Great! My expectation went even higher! But as my order of chocolate chip waffle landed in front of me, i was slapped back into reality. Shocked and mortified, all i could think of at the time was to grab my phone and take a picture a I'm sure if i tell people about it, they'll call me a liar. The over zealous server, brought me wut looks like a compressed waffle, that they sprinkled chocolate chips after realizing my order. I wuz thinking, is this a joke? Is this really wut they meant by chocolate chip waffle? It didn't even taste like a waffle. Tasted more like 3 pancakes jammed in one and then molded in the shape of a waffle! But i wuz still optimistic. After all, i had a great time in TX, so i figured, maybe waffles isn't their thing. Maybe they were just so inspired by it that they named the place that way, who knows. But my hashbrown i bet will be awesome! Or so i thought then. I ordered a hashbrown with diced grilled tomatoes and sautéed grilled onions, but wut i got wuz... Well there was just no words to describe it. Mainly cuz i experienced a temporary mix of wernickes' and broca's aphasia. Stunned, i sat there in silence for a moment, only having my phone to take a pic as a reflex. Three pieces of diced tomatoes with like 5 pieces of the sautéed onions. Uuuurgh!Even the waffle at the breakfast in the hilton garden inn nearby wuz way better than this place! And i only paid $3 more! I am never ever coming back here again! EVAR!!! read more

I'm sure the food was average but couldn't tell you for sure because I couldn't get seated. Employees let someone walk in and immediately sit while two groups were waiting. Didn't seat people in order because they wouldn't let a single person sit at a booth even though the people they did seat there said to let him sit there. read more

Walked in about 2:30am, place was about half full. I headed to the restroom to wash up, and came back to find every open spot, including all the counter space to be occupied by dirty dishes. There was an open 4 top booth, but being alone, I did not want to take up 4 spaces. I stood behind the counter, waiting for someone to say "hello" (or otherwise acknowledge I was even there), clean a spot on the counter (or all of it!) but instead watched in amazement as the ample staff simply ignored me, and the problem. Conversations were taking place between them and the clientele, but no action otherwise. As I stood there, I realized I could smell cigarette smoke, and figured that was my clue to bail on this idea. Drove to Plano, dropped into my local WH, and found everything as it should be- friendly, clean, smoke free. read more

Have been to this Waffle House multiple times and the staff has some of the best customer service I have ever seen. I am in the customer service business and this is how it's done. Great customer service!!!! I normally don't pick Waffle House as my go to for breakfast but International Pancake has been letting me down lately. The server named Dante or Deonte was soooo friendly I loved how nice he was; really made the whole experience waaaaaay better. this place is pretty good, its just not very consistent. sometimes i go and everything is good, but other times we go and one of the waitresses talks to us the whole time and showes us all the voices she can make while we eat....that was not fun. but most of the time the food is good, though the service is not great! read more

I've been to a good number of Waffle House locations over the years, and the experience varies. This time, the food and the service was okay, and they got the order right, but one thing ruined it for me. I had the All-Star breakfast and a coffee. I asked for a glass of water also. I was charged $1.90 for the coffee and another $1.90 for the glass of water (no ice). When I went to pay and challenged the charge for two drinks, they said that I have to pay for the water too, just the same as if it was a soft drink because they charge for using the glass. If I could leave less stars, I would. The cook preparing the meat, continuously pulled the raw meat out of the cooler with his bare hands and then touched the cooked meat once cooked. All while barking like a dog. Although, he did attempt to wash his hands twice without soap. In my opinion, this is not sanitary and I hope people do not get sick today. read more

Stunned. I didn't have to wait on a Saturday, which is a good thing. However i was seated in the bar(I've been here a couple of times but never seated in the bar), i could see what and how my plate was being filled. And trust me after that i lost my appetite. Went here while I was on holiday in Texas. The wait for food was horrendous. The table that ordered after us was served long before us even though all we had were a couple orders of hashbrowns & a Texas Melt with a couple waffles. I had a bowl of hashbrowns with egg & sausage on it. It wasn't great, I couldn't finish it. When going to somewhere called the Waffle House, stick with what they're known for. We shared a couple pecan waffles & they were fantastic. If I ever return I know to order waffles & only waffles. And they're as big as a plate so you know you're leaving full. read more

This is the most, ghettoest unprofessional,wonderfullest (yeah;I know it's not a real word) restaurant I've ever encountered. The morning I went was a real busy morning or maybe this is how it always is. This was my first time ever going. Our waiter took our order among all the chaos. Okay, I gave this place a second chance and came in at 5am in the morning to have biscuits and gravy. I was not at all happy eating or paying for my tab. While eating soggy nasty bread, I saw paper, yes paper, that somehow got into the cooking area and into my food. This is officially my last review of this place. I come to this Waffle House all the time. Very poor service. As i walked in, the hostess was at the door and didn't even said hello. I proceeded to enter and usually someone says hello, but no work spoken. I sat down at a table, a few waitress notice me and didn't even waited on me. We go here pretty often and it's really a hit or miss. Most the time we come we get great service and the food is always good. Something the people working here are incompetent, and don't really know how to make up for mistakes, or just do things that don't make sense. For instance, once I came in with my brother and ordered to-go food. We ordered separately and paid separately, but the food wasn't separated. They put our separate orders of biscuits and gravy in the same box. Our sides were also together in the same boxes. We had to share containers and divide up food, which isn't a big deal, but still. Just. Why? But, good food. Great prices! And generally good, courteous service. read more

There was a shift change when we got here so getting a waitress to acknowledge us took a little bit, when we were the waitress was very apologetic for the delay and treated us very well.
