After waiting 10 minutes to get a table, we waited another 15 minutes because our waitress forgot about us. The restaurant was not overly full. Our food came out completely wrong. There wasn't even a piece of my order that was correct. My waffle was forgotten entirely. I ordered bacon grilled cheese and crispy hashbrowns. I was given Texas toast when I specifically requested white, my hashbrowns were not only undercooked, they were also dripping oil. All the waitress kept doing was apologize for her forgetting us, forgetting my waffle, and to top it all off. So after drinking and hanging out at the pool and jacuzzi. One can get hella famished and being that were in the "south," Waffle House is a tag team favorite for me and my husband. Eating good in the neighborhood doesnt have to set me back an arm and a leg. I always get my steak and eggs breakfast and I'm a happy camper. Substitute the hash for grits and I am in Waffle House heaven my friend. Worchestershire sauce for the steak, jelly and ketchup for my eggs and grits, butter for my whole wheat toast. Don't expect a slice of aged beef to hit your plate when you come here. You get what you pay for. And for what you pay for is actually pretty darn good. "Pancho" had my waffles so full of burnt excess, they looked like chocolate chip waffles and extra raw in the middle. Always got to stop at a waffle house when I'm down south. It is a must. I never go during the morning breakfast rush so I cannot rate them on that...only the times I do go. This time it was late night dinner at like 9pm. Place was pretty empty with maybe 2 other booths filled. My husband and I sat at the counter were we looked at the menu and Raven greeted us. It was honestly her and another worker working there. She took our drink orders and made sure everyone was all set. She got our order and served us our food in a timely manner. She made sure we were all set and that our drinks were always full. This specific location was clean and tidy. No complaints here. I would go back again....but of course I would go to any waffle house when I see one lol read more

Food is typical Waffle House, which I actually like. Unfortunately, this location will not answer the phone, so to go orders have to be in person even though they are not that busy. Other location at 79 and Back Beach operates the same, although some other locations in PCB will take phone orders. Staff were not wearing COVID masks and made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them. Not your typical friendly neighborhood Waffle House. read more

What can I say, it's the Waffle House, a breakfast chain restaurant that specializes in waffles. It is what it is, wasn't horrible but wasn't the best breakfast I'd ever had either. Definitely have much to say about this place for the morning and it's aim is at the customer service and not the food. I wish I could rate it based on categories but unfortunately I can not. I will also add I understand this is COVID 19 and Memorial Day, but that does not excuse the Manager on duty Christina's poor service. Firstly I began with trying to call and place my order as so by the time I arrived I only had to pay and leave. Had done that server all times and had no issues. And being that restaurants are at a 50% occupancy demand I figured this would help the staff as well with not having too many people in the restaurant at one time. She (Christina or whoever the ditzy blonde is) answered and told me they do not take Togo orders over the phone that I have to make it in person. That already is confusing because what's the purpose of having a phone number you can call if you can't place your Togo order. So being I was in the mood for some Waffle House I decided to drive up there to place my order. Upon arriving I expected it to be slammed busy, and only two people working. To my surprised it was barely operating, meaning the only people who were waiting was because half of the seating is blocked for social distancing. So I walk in and go to place my Togo. Again same person, Christina acknowledged me. She tells me I have to hold on to place my order and says "We are short staffed on Memorial Day." That was false! As I stood there I counted 3 cooks, 1 new hire so obviously was training and so would be aiding in cleaning tables or cashing out, and 3 servers. One of them being Christina who I assume is M.O.D. Based on her being the only one in a pink polo. And again! It wasn't busy! The tables that could be sat had customers eating or about to leave. There was full open space at the bar, and it was exceptionally clean, no over flowed dishes. Grill clean and neat, even the waffle makers were up kept. The issue was the manager (who was spazy and frantic) was the issue. When I did finally get to order she was pushy to rush with the order, I had to stop her twice from finishing and calling out the order because she didn't let me finish with giving her my order. Never offered me a menu to read off of for reference, and didn't ask any questions to verify or confirm the order. Didn't once ask how I wanted my eggs prepared, I had to tell her. To which twice she had to cross out what she wrote to write down what I wanted. Once she sent the order the 3 cooks quickly had it ready in no time at all. But as I waited in the limited waiting space she had me take up since Togo over the phone isn't aloud for here. Another three people walked in and got an opposite side of her personality. Was obviously either friends or family of hers because she made sure to have them a place to sit at the bar before any of the others who were there first could. With them she gave them her full attention and had their order in before she bothered to cash me out. Which is another point. I thought perhaps the order in person was to avoid orders not being claimed, but since I wasn't cashed out until after they finished cooking I ruled it as laziness and poor customer service by having me come place in person than over the phone. And that if this is actually a manager of this location located next to Dunkin Donuts and AM store gas station, across from Publix. Then someone in higher management needs to reevaluate their leadership personnel. Not once did I consider this location busy or overwhelmed or short staffed as she made excuses after excuses. Practically was normal service. And I've been in Waffle House at 2 AM drunk as hell with 1/3 of the staff she had just now, and they handle without issue. But she being the manager with two other servers, three cooks and a trainee couldn't take a Togo order over the phone and made excuses about everything. And before she excuses this review as I don't know what it's like to server, etc. I'm a 9 year hospitality management. Been in every position from Dishwasher to General Manager. And to my experience and history, an employee like this wouldn't have any supervisor role in my restaurants. Other than that the rest of the staff was doing great, wore their needed face masks and was very sanitary. Food cooked perfectly, and executed my every need. Just someone needs to do something about the manager. Businesses lose great staff due to poor managers. read more

We have been to this location many times and are used to waiting for a table, but today after a long wait, we had to walk out. There were three empty tables and five seats at a low counter. None of the waitresses were cleaning them despite people waiting. We are very sympathetic to low staffing, but that was not the case this morning. read more

I absolutely love this place. Great service and food done quickly. Never did I feel rushed to eat. Servers ask me if they could bus our table as we finished our plates and we gladly accepted. My eggs were a little runny but it was no problem. They recooked everything to perfection. Very quickly. My server's know my name and have the order placed before I can even sit down. So I'm a huge Waffle House fan but not a fan of this WH location. If you want your food half-done and wish to be completely rushed through your meal and out of your seat so other customers can be seated, than this is the location for you!! However, if you would like to sit and actually enjoy your meal after driving for 12+ hours, then go elsewhere! I do give 2 stars for being seated quickly and we were probably seated so quickly as another family was kicked out of their booth. read more

So I decided to have a late breakfast because I was super hungry. So I stopped in at this Waffle House by the Winn-Dixie. I sat at the counter and waited for at least 10 minutes before someone even acknowledge I was there. Hannah Montana I'm sitting there doing dishes as I sat down never even looked up to say hello. Meanwhile both managers on duty stared right at me and looked away. Mind you there were seven employees behind the counter and still no acknowledgement. The place was fairly busy however it wasn't too busy or they could at least say would be right with you would you like something to drink hi any of those would have been nice. Then another employee I'm walking from the back walked up to Hannah Montana it started gossiping about another waitress. After which that waitress came up put down silverware and walked away. After at least 5 minutes she came back and took my order called it out to the Cook and then began to make my food. Although my breakfast was okay for Waffle House not that I recommended any other time but 2 in the morning when you're drunk. Maybe sometimes when you're super hungry for a late breakfast. I just couldn't believe the level of disservice this location had. Especially with two managers on duty standing behind the counter. I hope that someone reads this from corporate and addresses the issue with the morale of the staff. We live in a peach Community here and we have a lot of Tourism. Tourist don't care about a bad day or your baby mama drama. They want smiles and people that make them feel welcome so they'll come back to our great state of Florida.
