Who put all that black pepper on my pork chops!? Just as peppery. Service was so slow & they forgot my grits, I had to go back & get them.

I went in This morning and they had maybe 4 people in the building, the staff looked over and passed me up a total of 8 or 9 times.

I was nervous because of the low ratings, but we stopped anyway. Everybody was friendly and inviting. Service was quick attentive. The food came out fast and was absolutely delicious. Some of the low ratings were old, so obviously things have improved since the the poor reviews. Stop in and see the crew here. They are awesome!!!! read more

Ok so my problem is its waffle house 24/7open why when my husband get off a 12 hr shift he can't order our breakfast because everytime he calls before leaving work NO ONE ANSWER THE PHONES half the time they (employees)there sitting down. Yall have to do better on how yall doing the hiring and if they don't like it the job would find ppl they can do the work and people can trust the cooks that make the food and the facts that some workers is willing to work. Its sad to said going to this W.F has Problems even with the food which has got smaller in size. It can do better if the Crop. Do better do put this W.F on the small list if you can make it big. We walked in. looked around and walked out. This place was filthy even by Waffle House standards. My shoes stuck to the floor, not a single table was clean, piles of plates covered in flies were stacked on the tables and the waitress, while polite, made no effort to clean up a space for us to sit and eat. I am giving ONE star only because I didn't actually EAT the food! Nope - we walked in at 6:45 am, and there were three customers, one sitting at counter and a mother and daughter in a booth. No one said anything like they usually do at Waffle Houses when you walk in. My husband and I walked from one side to the other, looking for a clean table to sit at but there were NONE! All had either dirty dishes still on them, or dirty napkins and bits of food because they had not been wiped down from previous customers. The counter was also dirty. So we turned around and walked out! We eat at Waffle Houses often when we are on trips and love the quick, friendly and efficient service we usually get. But this place was the worst we have ever seen! Management needs to conduct a "surprise" visit and make some definite changes if they find the same conditions we did! read more

The sign clearly says to go only between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. . I arrived at 5:30 a.m. and was told I could not put an order in to go. I was then told there would be dine in at 6 a.m. . I waited and was again turned away. I watched many people come and go but no one was allowed to place an order even if it was to go. This took place November 19, 2020. read more

I wish we could leave negative stars.. This is by far the worst waffle house i have ever been to! I am from AZ stoped here because the food is wonderful. This place is the nastiest dirtiest unsanitary restaurant i have been to it gives WH a bad name the waitress and cooks are slow took a long time to greet and take my order first time i sat at the bat area the girl got my order wrong, bacon uncooked asked for med well eggs got some kind of scramble, the waffle never came the hash brown was ok, coffee cup dirty, the counter top never cleaned and there was a bunch of dirty dishes on it, never received waffles so i asked girl said i had to ask for them when the plate I orders comes with them so I politely asked if she could bring me one waited about 20 min no waffle paid left upset..... read more

First let me say I travel a lot and have been to other Waffle Houses and most of them are great. I never thought I would say something like this, but this restaurant was disgusting. I was stuck in traffic and it looked like I would be there for a while. I made the mistake of pulling into this Waffle House. Should have just waited in the traffic. Immediately when I sat at the counter I saw that the placement, which also serves as their menu was sticky and dirty. I didn't want to touch it. I traded the menu for one that looked a little cleaner. The napkin they gave me was so thin you could see through it and after laying it on the mat I didn't want to touch it. I observed a lot of workers behind the counter. It would have been good if one of them had picked up a broom. The floors were filthy. The counter and the cooking area had food all around it. I saw one employee wiping the silverware with a paper towel. That was probably cleaner than the dish towel another person was wiping the counter with. After I placed my order the server gave me a container of syrup. It had dried syrup on the outside of the container. When I did get my order the food was swimming in grease. Even the ham, which was on another plate was soaked in grease. The only thing edible was the waffle. I had to pray about that since it was obvious that all the food was cooked in dirty skillets. If you go past this business, keep going, you are not that hungry. read more

Waffle House? LMAO! Never thought I'd write a review on one, because I never thought I'd eat at one. This place is somewhere between sucks and really gross... and there are about 9 women behind the counter all standing around as opposed to serving the customers. I had to eat here as a friend was picking me up here so I ordered breakfast. It took so long for eggs and a biscuit that I had to eat it to go as my friend arrived before my breakfast was ready, even though I ordered it 20 or minutes ago. The only reason I am not giving the joint one star is that when I finally got my breakfast it really was not too bad. read more

I stopped in on what is a very infrequent early morning car ride these days with my parents. We were heading to Houston for a family friend's birthday celebration and my Dad insisted on stopping here for a quick breakfast. My mother was not interested and grabbed a designer coffee from Starbucks to sip on while we ate. Well, this was a problem for our waitress, who insisted that she pour it in a Waffle House cup to get past their "no outside food or beverage" policy. Fair enough... although my mother was annoyed. Her cappuccino was not meant to be mixed around and just didn't taste right afterwards. The food was as good as it usually is at WH... I had sunny side up eggs, hash browns covered, smothered, and peppered, some bacon, and a cup of coffee. Waffle House really does have great breakfast... I really enjoyed my meal and was glad my Dad dragged us in. BOTTOM LINE: Very typical Waffle house experience... moderately clean restaurant, eclectic server, working class clientele, and delicious breakfast items. read more

Horrible Services! This restaurant was SO DIRTY! My Dad and I got seated and we waited for 10 minutes for the waitness to come and ask us for drinks. We were so upset and we felt that we were not treated as valued customers. The waitness did not even ask us how do we like our food, or even care to refill the drinks. 1 star because I can't write this review with less. We love Waffle House, first time to this one. Stopped by about 6PM on 6-10-2016 after grandkids' ballgame. 3 customers were seated inside, already served and eating. 2 others (lady in flannel pj pants) came in behind us. 3 workers in view, two lounging behind the tall counter and chatting, the other bent over the low counter at the end of the room, writing something. We took a window booth near the one writing. Waited. Conversed a while, looked at placemat menu, decided on our orders. Waited The two behind the counter hadn't budged and were still chatting. PJ pants and sidekick had taken seats at the high counter and were whooping and laughing (on something, I think). Still waiting. The server was still writing, not even a glance at us. Got to looking around. The floor in the prep area is often a little messy in a WH, but this one was ankle deep in trash - paper, crumbs, etc. The floor in the seating area wasn't clean, either. Windows weren't clean. Server was still bent over the low counter, writing, her butt still in our faces if we dared glance that way. We left and went to the Waffle House in Zachary where greetings welcomed us when we walked in, the place was clean, the staff cheerful and friendly, and where we were eating delicious food in less time than we had waited to be acknowledged in the WH in Port Allen. read more

I travel with my job. Staying here close to this particular Waffle House. I'm a fan of Waffle House and breakfast for supper. Tonight was my forth visit in last 3 weeks. The first visit was very wonderful. Great cook and waitress, food prepared as ordered, service was very good. It went down hill each visit. Tonight, went in and the place had a small crowd. The couple that came in moments before us ordered their food. Waitress turned it in and came got our order. Somewhere, a second cook came up to help the other cook and it all fell apart. The waitresses were trying to explain to him he was doing things in wrong order and etc. He gets mad and blames them. By now, I've had a bowl of grits sitting in front of me for 5 mins and no silverware. My work partner gets his food and is half way done eating. I never got my food and the couple that came in before us still hadn't gotten their food either. I got fed up and walked out. They were still pumping out to go orders and not cooking anything for the people that was in there. The phone orders were taken well after I placed mine. When my partner got finished and went to pay, he said my plate was still not cooked nor the other couple. I guess it depends on which night and group is there as to how well the experience is. I probably won't be going back anytime in near future. I don't like giving bad reviews, but if there had been some management there, I could have expressed myself to them. Hopefully the company or management will get this review and make the much needed changes to 2nd shift. The same group has been there on the last 3 visits. read more
