The staff at this Waffle House is amazing. Always cheerful even when coming in at the latest hours of the night. I've considered this as my go to "Waffle House" for about 3 years now and will continue to drive from Bradenton just to go to this location. Kinda sketchy. Scrambled eggs were eggs thrown on the skillet & mixed up lightly as they cooked. Gross! Scrambled where you beat them in a separate dish, so it's all mixed. One color, ok? If I wanted fried Hess, I'd have ordered them. Grits were cold. Literally cold. Toast was good! Bacon was good. Waffle wasn't crunchy, it was soft like microwaved. Water was good. Isn't this company making any money? They all have gas station depressing bathrooms. I think they're all original. The whole place was depressing & I questioned what I was eating. And no, if I complained this was the place that for sure would spit in someone's food. We sat for about 10 min bf our waitress finished her lunch & took our order...while about 7 other employees did nothing but talked to each other. Worst WH experience. Not going back. WH Corporate needs to get off their asses and see what's going on out there. Waffle Houses are all about the waffles and hash browns. The staff at this location was funny; they had fun teasing each other. I ordered the All-Star special; more bang for the buck. I highly recommend ordering your bacon extra crispy; waffles well-done too for that crisp texture waffles are known for. Also, it's a good idea to have your hash browns "scattered" so they are all evenly cooked unless you prefer to have some undercooked which some of you may like. read more

Usually love Waffle House. This one is not very well run. Came in and waited for 5 mintues before even being spoke to (there was no one in the restaurant). Was told sit anywhere I'd like but both tables I chose were dirty. No menus were on the table, and while ordering the server interrupted me to give food to another customer. Ordered the food and the server didn't remember my water until after my meal was prrtty much done. Music was too loud and when I asked of they could turn it down a notch the manager was very snarley. Food was still okay although the eggs weren't done right. Overall below average, won't be coming back here again. read more

I can't believe I'm even giving this place 1 star. I was SO excited to try a waffle house for the first time. The place was DISGUSTING, our waitress was RUUUUDE as a fellow server I could not believe how she spoke to us (her name was Carolyn) we sent everything back. My waffle wasn't what I ordered, eggs were cold, my brother even stated "I feel like I'm going to get food poisoning" he eats everything and he was even grossed out. Was there this morning at about 4am. The cook seemed to know more of what was going on. I think it was the head waiter, looked to be more of a pain to the cook than anything, trying to help but the cook didnt need any help. Hes a bright kid and very focused. The waffles are great, eggs are good too. The sausage was a bit salty for my taste. The biscuits and gravy were as southern as you could get. Delicious! Chocolate milk was fine. The egg wrap was very good also. I would definetely come back again. If that is the manager, one complaint, after handling peoples money, put gloves on before handling food please. read more

I watched the cook set my sandwich on a dirty cutting board in front of the griddle with nothing to protect it from the miscellaneous food and raw egg that covered it! if i could leave zero stars i would. i am from out of town and this is always the waffle house we go to when we are here but i have never had a problem. today, however, was absolutely terrible. the hashbrowns may as well have been raw, and i watched my waitress debate with the chef whether or not they should serve me my waffle. ended up bringing it to me and the bottom side of it was black it was so burnt. on top of it all, our waitress was extremely rude and detached and didn't seem to care about us at all. going back home very disappointed. read more

Cheap ass food, but decent for what it is. Always wanted to try it finally got to. I had blueberry waffles. At first the "blueberry" they use ( gelatinous blue paste) was gross, but it grew on on me. I'm sure it gummed up my colon worse then Elton johns husbands wank. The staff was super friendly although they looked like they were on some kind of work rehab program. In a party of 4, 1 meal was not prepared/ served while 3 orders were completely wrong. The waitress apologized and attempted to have the cook correct the orders. The cook became offensive when the waitress wanted to discuss this in the back room and he raised his voice replying "Why waste time in the back when we can do it right here ". He was loudly banging utensils throwing them around. Waitress eventually cooked part of an order. Part of one order was never received. Grits were served cold on 2 attempts. Aside from one customer at the counter, we were the only other customers. The waitress tried to make amends by removing the coffee orders. The bill still amounted to $25. On our departure the cook never offered an apology nor bid us farewell, and was still stirring a fresh pot of grits. A very uncomfortable experience that will NOT be repeated. read more

We passed by 3 Waffle Houses with reviews that weren't as good as this one. So glad we did! Our waitress, Meredith, was so friendly, gave great menu selections for our families needs and even suggested local places to take the kids. The restaurant was very clean (including restrooms). Walked in and place was not busy and all tables were uncleaned and had dirty dishes on them. Then, we asked where to sit they said have seat and we will clean it off shortly. So my friends and I sat down and had the worst experience of our lives! We ordered drinks which my included unsweet tea with lemon. After she ( ASH ) aka. our server brought drinks she forgot my lemon. So after she took our order which consists of Steak & Egg & grits combo in which both my friends ordered. I ordered Hashbrowns smoothered with onion, cheese, Jalp and Diced Tomato and side salad. Requested lemon in which she forgot first trip then forgot second trip then I asked different server to bring lemon. When food arrived Steak Grits and toast they forgot eggs on both plates. How can place serve steak and eggs and forget the eggs. So my friend said " Are the eggs invisible to the Ash our server?" Oh the pilot light went out and eggs will be here shortly. Well almost 25 mins later she still hadn't brought eggs. So, we asked another sever where the eggs were? Which she told cook to make eggs for plate that already went out long time ago. My friends steaks were cold and grits were lumpy and still no eggs. My hashbrown were missing few items. Only thing that they put on my hashbrowns were jalpenos. Forgot my salad till she heard us discussing no salad. My options of salad dressing were very limited to thousand island, vingerette those were my choices. I said no thanks you can keep salad then. Magically Ranch appeared on the menu. Drinks were never refilled and cold nasty gross food. We were very unhappy with service and quality of nasty food. Requested to speak with manager aka. Mary. She came out and we explained situation she never apologized and acted as if it were no big deal. Went in back to adjust our bill which took almost 25 mins to come back with bill. Then, obviously she wasn't listening to us and said " Did you ever get your eggs? " She adjust bill reducing it 20% when I was charged with 40.C per item for toppings on Hashbrowns anyways. Then, gave us 20% off coupon to come back and visit. What a joke that is when paying bill my boyfriend handed the coupons back to them. Meantime my friend was in the toliet with the runs. I told Manager I was going to contact Corp. She said ok let me get you there phone number and laughed. On our way back to few exits away my stomach started getting horrible cramps and pain. So my boyfriend pulled over to local gas station and everyone jumped out to go take poopie! My boyfriend said " Water was pissing out he's ass! " If you wanna get sick or have the squirts I would suggest going to this Waffle House on Clark Road in Sarasota. read more
