Waffle House is a late night/breakfast staple. I mean how can you go wrong with Waffle House? I love adding chili and cheese to my hash browns. The portions are large and the food is delicious. I love their waffles!

I am going short and sweet on this review. Friendly staff, solid breakfast, clean table and cooks humming a friendly tune every once in a while. ;)

It's been awhile since I had visited a Waffle House but it was worth the wait. This Waffle House was far better in comparison to the ones I had visited in Louisville. As a graveyard shift mechanic, coming here is a blessing. I ordered the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt Plate and was very pleased. The employees were nice and cared about the customers, the building was clean, and traffic was light. I will definitely become a regular.

Had a great stop here on a road trip. Friendly and smiling staff on the day shift. Smothered, covered, peppered, capped.

Had the sausage hash brown bowl . Very good taste . Service was okay. Stools at bar are the best seats in the building for me.

It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

What was previously a surprisingly elegant dining space with exquisite steaks and specialty items in an Indiana casino, is temporarily their main restaurant. Service still excels and the food is tasty. I ate the crab cakes (appetizer) as an entrée and couldn't finish. The texture was perfect and the taste was very good. My dining companion had the filet accompanied by the asparagus and said it was fantastic! In addition to a few steaks--there is a chicken entree, sandwiches and other lighter meals on the menu. The bar is full service although they were out of the Tom Gore Chardonnay tonight.

It was a Friday night and we were about 15 minutes early for our reservation. We were greeted at the door of the restaurant as soon as we walked in. We were immediately ushered to our table. Our waiter was at the table a few minutes later to introduce himself and see if we wanted anything to drink. I ordered the Second Circle martini and the hubby got an iced tea. Our excellent waiter was Patrick. The Second Circle martini is Woodford Reserve bourbon, Ruby port, maple syrup, and Bitters. The martini was good with the overriding flavors being the port and maple syrup. Really did not taste the Woodford but I liked it. Someone brought a bread service to the table and poured water. Patrick took our order for starters when he brought the drinks back. We ordered the steak tartare and the chicken livers. I have had the chicken livers here before and already knew that I liked them. The chicken livers are served on a bed of frisee lettuce, sweet red onions, and aged balsamic vinegar. This perfectly complements the crispy on the outside and tender on the inside chicken livers. The hubby liked the steak tartare better. The steak tartare was made with black garlic, egg yolk jam, shiso, a bone marrow cracker, and togarashi. Both were tasty ways to start our meal. Patrick took our order for dinner when he brought out our starters. The hubby ordered the 14 oz New York strip and a loaded baked potato. I ordered the lobster bisque and coho salmon. In addition I ordered another martini, the vanilla espresso martini. Patrick brought my lobster bisque out shortly after that. This was very tasty and reminiscent my favorite lobster bisque. The only thing I would change would be to make it a little bit thicker but it had excellent flavor it had a little bit of pernod cream and a few bites of lobster. Our dinner was brought to the table and he set the baked potato in between us because it was huge any thought we might want to share it! The hubby ordered his steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly and he said it had great flavor. My coho salmon was cooked perfectly as well and I had never eaten wheat berries and they were slightly crunchy giving the dish some texture. We both really enjoyed our main dishes with no complaints. To top off the night I ordered coffee with cream and creme brulee. He brought my coffee to the table in a stainless steel pitcher and he brought a pitcher of cream and he had also taken the extra step to warm up my coffee cup. This was awesome! I love my coffee to be very hot and this was perfect. A little bit later he brought the creme brulee in the hubby and I shared it the burnt sugar on top was nice and crusty and we had to crack through it just like you should. We had a very enjoyable meal and will definitely be going back. I would suggest asking for Patrick on your trip in as he did an excellent job.

The food is made from scratch, including hand battered onion rings. Tenderloin as well. Mia, our server, had waters on the table. Food came out quickly and she checked on us several times. They have a breakfast and sandwich menu with traditional Midwest favorites. The owner is known for his fabulous biscuits which are served plain, fried with apple butter or biscuits and gravy. We each had Diana's Breakfast Special which came with a whopping bowl of fresh fruit, 2 eggs, toast and choice of sausage or bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was crisp and delicious. The dining room is sparkling clean with cute decor. They even have a little counter seating. The unisex bathroom is clean as well. There is parking across the street and an accessible ramp to get into the restaurant. On Sundays, they have a fun little competition for the hearty guests. If you can eat seven plates of biscuits and gravy ($15) you win a free meal and your photo on the wall. As of today, there are only 2 photos on the wall. I left without a piece of that gorgeous coconut pie. But I'll be back. This little diner is well worth the drive to Shelbyville. I'm told it gets crowded during peak hours, so get there early.
