this was one of the best experiences I've ever had at waffle House the way the team went over in our food came out and everyone was so walked through the door because we got our intricate order correct the first time if we didn't have to send anything back. It was nice and lovely. he especially had a good experience because the music was lively and everybody was so cheerful on the Sunday that we came. I would definitely top your hash browns. Don't bother paying the $5 for all the toppings, mixing chili and country gravy is blasphemous, it's one or the other. Also, get your waffle buttered on the grill. It'll add a nice crispy exterior for maximum texture contrast. I know people who have some kind of love affair with hash-browns that are scattered, smothered, covered, capped, and whatever else you can do to those things. To each his/her own. I went into the hwy 138 in Stockbridge ga around 1215 on 11/15. Asked George in the front if I could sit in the booth in the back, he said to proceed. I was looked at by every employee in there. So the acknowledgment of my presence was there. Apparently there was an incident in there prior to my arrival. Amanda, seemed like she was the shift leader the way she was speaking to the table in front of me. I glanced at the menu for about 10 secs and knew what I wanted. Continued to wait for someone to come and greet me. About 3 or so minutes later, a gentleman walks in the door and sits down at the first table and I was 3 back. George went directly to him and greeted him as if was invisible. I said nothing, got up, and left. No one said anything to me at all. I tried to call and the phones are down, which is understandable. This was by no means a staff issue. Absolutely terrible service. I was trying to get food and was going to get an order to go. I have been in restaurants for a long time and if this ever happened in my restaurant, I would have a staff meeting immediately l. This doesn't seem like this is the first time it's happened. Wow. I am a devout Waffle House customer and I can honestly say this was the worst Waffle House I have ever been to. I shouldn't have gone in after the state of the parking lot with trash everywhere and an employee standing outside on the phone cursing but I did. The servers that were sitting around chatting and playing on their phones should have been doing side work. This restaurant was disgusting. The window in my booth looked as if it had not been cleaned in years. I received dirty silverware to be replaced with takeout cutlery. My server was only barely polite.
