Backyard Sliders with Togarashi Fries
Leenzie B.

I went here yesterday with my family for lunch for Father's Day. We had the Chicken & Beef Potstickers for our appetizers. I had the Backyard Sliders with Togarashi Fries & Lychee Sangria. My mom had the Spicy Salmon Teriyaki & Lychee Sangria. My brother had the Chicken Katsu Curry & Japanese Latter. My dad had the Chicken Pad Thai & Malbec. For dessert we had the Chocolate Trilogy Cake. The ambiance was fancy casual. And the staff were very friendly. I will definitely come back here again

This place was so cute inside with a great menu that has something for everyone. The dumplings had great flavors, the ahi tuna poke was pretty much what you expect of a poke bowl and the wagyu soba was also very good. The chicken katsu was probably one of the best I've had in quite some time. Would definitely come back.

This is a great spot to stop in the city! While it's Asian fusion they do have options for pickier palette. The service was good and our waiter was very helpful with recommendations. The restaraunt is clean, in a great location, and not too fancy for us tourists to stop at. Not my favorite food taste wise, and my sliders were a little soggy.

What a great place! pan-Asian favorites at a casual, upbeat reasonably priced restaurant in midtown. It's great for families and larger groups. Casual, upbeat and very satisfying.

I always have dinner here with family and friends when seeing something nearby. I never have had poor service or bad food. Literally EVERYTHING on the menu is delicious. Standouts for me are the ahi tuna nachos, the miso cod soba, and the Tokyo fries! I had all three tonight on my most recent visit so I'm attaching photos. Those Tokyo Fries-OMG. I dream about them. So unique and delicious. It's a huge restaurant and bar so hardly ever difficult to get a table. Plenty of seating. Literally the only drawback is the narrow and steep staircase downstairs for the bathroom. I wait until we get to whatever venue we are going to next to use the bathroom.

Robin was our server. She was very kind and we appreciate her very much. We made reservations through open table. We arrived at a good time 4:30 ish. An hour later, the restaurant was crowded. We started with appetizers -gyoza - five tasty dumplings steamed with chicken -chili calamari fried squid. shichimi spice. chili + cilantro dipping sauce Both appetizers were tasty. The calamari was prepared differently than I was acustomed to but it was flss as Vergil and delicious. We ordered the following.. -kare burosu / (vg) vegan hero shichimi-coated tofu. grilled mixed mushrooms. chili. udon noodles. curried vegetable broth -chicken teriyaki donburi * grilled chicken. teriyaki sauce. sticky white rice. seasonal greens. carrots, scallions, kimchi. sesame seeds -wagamama salad tomatoes. cucumber. asparagus. radish. seaweed. pickled ginger. pickled carrots. citrus ponzu. miso dressing. noodle Presentation was nice. The food was good. Vegetables were fresh. The only thing I wasn't too Keen on were the drinks. Very tart and not balanced.

I didn't realize that some Wagamamas are much better than others. This is a good one! Great location and the food is amazing. Yummy comfort food but with some other really good stuff like the Thai Chili Margarita (absolutely a stand out!!) and the ahi on crispy rice. The noodles in the ramen are perfectly cooked and the service is attentive and friendly. We visit anytime we are in NYC. It's a chain we love!

When it's just too easy to eat. First of all, and this is the hill I'm standing on, Asian cuisine hits different (notice how I can't quite bring myself to say it's the best)! Yeah I still standing. Now that you're listening, Wagamama is just easy Asian cuisine. Not fine dining, but not fast food or casual dining. The ambiance and finish of the food makes it something in between, where people who can afford to eat a $100 plate go for a quick bite for a decent price. The service is always wonderful and there's something for everyone (if you like Asian flavor profiles).

It was my first time eating at Wagamama in midtown, NYC and I so loved the food. So loved the fried chicken Korean bao, karaage chicken bao for appetizers. And for my entree I had their chicken teriyaki donburi grilled served with chickenteriyaki sauce, sticky white rice, seasonal greens, carrots, scallions, kimchi, and sesame seeds that was super filling and so darn delicious. Highly recommend coming here for lunch or dinner in a group to have a shareable taste of just about everything. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the staff was so friendly and accommodating.

Vegan ramen with vegetarian broth
Neha G.

Stopped by for takeout. This review is just for the vegan ramen to go. The vegan option is spicy and the spice level cannot be modified. So the server suggested replacing with vegetarian broth and mentioned it still tastes good. It took about 15 min for my piping hot noodles to be ready. I rushed home because the hot food in thin plastic contains that may melt had me worried. As for taste the veggie broth was lacking. No flavor. The tofu is fried tempura style. Also, they use udon noodles, which isn't the same feel of actual ramen. For $20 this was a little disappointing.

Solid customer service and decent food. The layout is definitely relaxing and simple. Would recommend if trying out new fusion restaurants!

Random pick. Great vibe. Open kitchen. Bench or booth seating. Greeted immediately by friendly hostess. Server was pleasant and good service. Food was great! Starter gozya chicken filled. It was gently browned and very tasty. Shareable. Ahi rice bowl. Fab! Seared perfect, edamame, seaweed, miso cucumber, pickled daikon. greens and rice. Great presentation and filling. Beef brisket donburi. Added egg. Nicely spiced. Good tasting. Plenty of non alcoholic offerings as well as full bar. Outdoor seating too.

The pad thai noodles are a big thinner than i've had before but that didn't bother me, it has such great flavor too. I recommend ordering it spicy, it's the perfect heat if you're looking for that kick but don't add it if you can't handle spice. The drunken noodles are not spicy in my opinion but i can handle a bit of heat. Loved the flavor and the noodles had the right texture, could've done without the huge chunks of tomato but great otherwise. The summer rolls were good, hard to mess those up. We also got a free mango salad with the order and that was so fresh and delicious. We just popped in for pick up but the hostess was really nice and attentive as soon as we walked in. It looked to be a nice casual spot, could be good for dinner with friends or date night.

Food: Heres what I've tried. Fried chicken wings with lemongrass sauce--- Topped with cilantro, Thai ginger chips, and fresh mint leaves--so flavorful it goes straight to the bones. Perfectly sized, not too big or too small. OMG, it was really, really good. The aroma alone is already mouthwatering, and the umami is just next level. Grilled jumbo tiger shrimp (18 for 2 pcs)-- A bit firm for my liking--I felt they were slightly overcooked--but still very savory and rich in flavor. Mango Salad--- A refreshing twist on the usual mango salad. It has avocado, which makes it stand out, and it's less saucy than most versions. A great, clean, and balanced salad I'd definitely order again.

We didn't have reservations and were told there would be about a 20-minute wait, which was totally fine. However, once we were seated, everything went downhill. We sat for 15-20 minutes without being greeted or even offered water. It wasn't until someone in my party got up to ask for a server that we finally received any attention. Our server came over, took our drink and food order, and then disappeared for the rest of the night. We never saw her again. The bartender and a food runner ended up bringing out our drinks and food--but only half of our order arrived. We were told the rest would be coming, but it never did. One person in our party of three was left without food while the other two of us ate. I tried to wait, but after a long time it became clear the missing dish wasn't coming. Once again, someone had to get up and ask for assistance since our server never checked back. Even after we finished eating, our dirty plates remained on the table while we sat there waiting, which added to the frustration. At that point, nearly an hour had passed with no resolution. The host did offer a complimentary drink, but honestly, that didn't make up for the experience. We eventually decided we no longer wanted the missing meal. Ironically, as we were paying and preparing to leave, the food finally came out. Given how poorly everything was handled, the dish should have been comped, but it wasn't. Overall, the lack of service and attention completely overshadowed what could have been a nice dining experience. I would not recommend this place.

It's not your typical lychee martini. It has Aperol and pineapple, which gives it a great flavor. My only note is that I wish it were a bit stronger. For appetizers we had the yellowtail, which is a must get. It was delicious. We also had the lobster spring rolls, another great dish, and the crispy wontons, which were good but not my favorite compared to everything else. For our entrée we got the beef tenderloin, another must get. It was amazing, super tender, and melts in your mouth. We had it with the fried rice, which was solid. For dessert we had the ice cream sandwich, which was different in the best way and extremely delicious. It wasn't too sweet and the cone "buns" were perfection. Overall, this place is gorgeous and the food matches. I would definitely return. The service was also great, the perfect balance of letting you do your own thing and truly enjoy your evening while still checking in. It is pricey. We each paid $184 including tip, but it's definitely worth it for a special occasion or to spoil yourself a bit.

Best way to describe this is luxe Asian or bougie Chinese. If you are fan of top Chef it would be called soigné. We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.

The energy in the restaurant was a lot more vibrant than I expected, and honestly, the excitement from everyone around us added to the overall experience. To drink, I ordered the Caribbean Mule. It was refreshing, flavorful, and definitely packed a little punch. A solid cocktail that got the night started right. For food, we ordered the beef fried rice and chicken wontons. The beef fried rice was delicious and came in a generous portion size, making it easy to share. The chicken wontons were also well prepared and packed with flavor. The standout dish for me, though, was the ginger beef noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the beef was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Easily my favorite item of the night and something I'd order again without hesitation. Service was another bright spot. The staff was attentive throughout the evening, and our servers were always quick to help whenever we needed anything. Even with the restaurant being busy, they stayed on top of everything. The one disappointment was the truffle fries. I've had better truffle fries at small neighborhood spots. They lacked both the flavor and presentation I'd expect from a restaurant at this price point, especially compared to how strong the rest of the meal was. Overall: Brooklyn Chop House delivered a fun atmosphere, great service, and some standout dishes. Between the energy of the crowd, the ginger beef noodles, and the attentive staff, it was a memorable experience. Just skip the truffle fries and put that money toward another appetizer or cocktail.
