This was my first time at this location, I've been to the original location several times. The waiter ,Eddie, was very pleasant and attentive. From how he presents himself, I honestly thought he was one of the managers, I really liked that. The restaurant was nice, and bigger than the other location. The food was good, but honestly it gave off regular Chinese food. Still good though. The lychee martini was really good and so was the red velvet cake. Oh one of the downsides is that it's a hood spot. If you want a high end feel, that's not the spot to be.

Stopped into Brooklyn Chop House before a Broadway show and it was the perfect start to the night. The food was absolutely delicious, elevated, and really satisfying. One standout moment: the snapper was deboned tableside with incredible precision. It felt like dinner and a show before the actual show. You can tell there's real attention to detail in both the food and presentation. Service was just as impressive -- warm, attentive, and perfectly paced so we made it to the theater without feeling rushed. I love the vibe of this place! If you're looking for a great pre-theater spot with amazing food and polished service, this is a no-brainer. I'll definitely be back.

I recently visited Brooklyn Chop House, and overall it was an ok experience with a few standout moments. The restaurant itself is very nice, intimate, and extremely clean, which made for a comfortable dining atmosphere. We started with the sampler, which was a great way to kick things off. I also have to say--their lychee frozen martini was the best I've ever had. That alone is worth going back for. The Brussels sprouts, unfortunately, were not my favorite. They were hard, bland, and didn't have the char that our waiter described. On the other hand, the pork ribs were absolutely delicious--perfectly fried with great texture and flavor. The salmon was just okay, but the vegetables really stood out more. I asked them to add bok choy, and that extra touch gave the dish the boost it needed. I also had a bite of my husband's ribeye, which was cooked perfectly, and the eggplant was very good as well. To top it all off, they ended the meal by bringing out nice, hot hand towels--a small detail that really elevated the experience. Overall, I'd definitely return--especially for that lychee martini. Fries were bland, pork fried rice was good. Birthday shout out was good . Ps. The lady with camera needs to chill out. I only bought the picks because it was a bday. But she needs to fall back. It makes the experience uncomfortable. Like she forcing you in to something you dont want to do

Run don't walk to Brooklyn Chop House! My brother made reservations for us before seeing Hell's Kitchen on broadway. Evidently this place is a well kept secret as we've not been on any previous trips. He described it as an Asian-Soul fusion steakhouse and that's exactly what is being served! Dimly lit, well decorated, great music greeted us as we walked in. Tons of booth style tables with private dining areas all throughout. Vast selection of entrees and appetizers, the menu had something for everyone. We opted to dine family style, getting a good variety of options to graze on. Philly Cheesesteak Dumplings - 3.5/5 Nothing to write home about, was missing the true Philly cheese steak flavors and peppers I love Braised Short Rib - 4/5 Flavorful but wanted a bit more wine reduction in the gravy Whole Red Snapper - 5/5 Fantastic. Easy favorite from the dinner. Served as a whole, the deboning done tableside was chefs kiss!!! The ginger, seaweed salad this was served with nearly stole the show!! Bok Choy side 4/5 Delicious and flavorful Chicken Fried Rice 4.5/5 Drinks 3/5 All in all we had a great time at Brooklyn Chop. Our drinks were only ok but the food was fantastic. The tableside red snapper deboning service was one to remember. Definitely give BCH a try when in manhattan.

Friday night outing to the Brooklyn Chop House, with my fiancée (he selected and got it right ). Absolute fine dinning all around the board, Mr Rog was our server and he was perfect - professional, humorous and knowledgeable re the establishment menu etc etc. We ordered - lobster fried rice, filet mignon, stem garlic broccoli and filet mignon beef broccoli. All dishes were flavorful and cooked to perfection. Anyway this is our preferred new eatery. BTW this is a minority owned fine dining steakhouse. Very proud and thank you - Brooklyn Chop House (Timesquare NY)

Braised Short Rib Of Beef with Garlic Mashed Potatoes

I went to Brooklyn Chop House's Times Square location on a Thursday evening around dinner time. It was fairly quiet, which made for a relaxed dining experience. Overall, this was a strong visit with a few clear highlights, one miss, and one standout entrée that absolutely stole the show. Atmosphere & Service From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was excellent. The space had a great energy without feeling overcrowded, and the music really elevated the experience. During my visit, they were playing a modern mix of hip-hop and R&B, which fit the vibe perfectly. I'm not sure if that playlist changes regularly, but it definitely added to the ambiance. The host was friendly, welcoming, and seated me promptly, which set a positive tone right away. Drinks I ordered the Tropical Punch, a frozen cocktail, and it was both delicious and very strong. This is the kind of drink where one is more than enough with dinner, especially if you're also having water. It was flavorful, well-made, and absolutely worth the price. Appetizer: Philly Cheesesteak Dumplings I started with the Philly Cheesesteak Dumplings. What worked: * The presentation was very good * The dumplings looked well-crafted and were cooked nicely * The wrapper had a good texture * They were enjoyable both on their own and with the dipping sauce What didn't quite land: While they were good as dumplings, they did not really taste like a Philly cheesesteak. If you're expecting that familiar flavor profile of steak, cheese, and onions, this may be a bit disappointing. They're still enjoyable, especially if you already like dumplings, but I would not order them expecting a true cheesesteak-inspired bite. Entrée & Sides For my main course, I ordered the Short Rib and substituted the lo mein for Garlic Mashed Potatoes. On the side, I also ordered the Wild Mushrooms and the Double Thick Bacon. A quick note: the sides are definitely portioned generously and can easily be shared between two people. I had leftovers. Short Rib (The Standout) The short rib was the best part of the meal, without question. It was: * incredibly tender * juicy and succulent * deeply flavorful * cooked to perfection This was one of those dishes that immediately stands out after the first bite. The meat was so tender it practically fell apart, and every bite was rich and satisfying. It did not need any extra seasoning at all, no salt, no pepper, nothing. The flavor and texture were already exactly where they needed to be. If you are going to Brooklyn Chop House and want a reliable entrée recommendation, get the short rib. Garlic Mashed Potatoes The garlic mashed potatoes were a great substitution and paired beautifully with the short rib. Creamy, flavorful, and comforting, they complemented the richness of the meat very well. Wild Mushrooms The wild mushrooms were excellent. They were sautéed with onions and had a flavorful, almost stir-fried quality to them. Simple, well-executed, and absolutely worth ordering. Double Thick Bacons This was the only real disappointment of the meal. Despite the name, it wasn't quite what I would consider classic steakhouse-style thick-cut bacon. More importantly, it was overcooked, dry, and right on the edge of being burnt. For $10 for two slices, it did not feel worth the price, and I would skip it on a return visit. Final Thoughts Brooklyn Chop House delivered a very enjoyable overall experience, especially in terms of atmosphere, music, service, and a few standout menu items. Best items: * Tropical Punch * Wild Mushrooms * Short Rib (must-order) Skip next time: * Double Thick Bacon Worth trying, with adjusted expectations: * Philly Cheesesteak Dumplings Overall Rating 4/5 The short rib alone is reason enough to come back. While not every item was a hit, the overall experience was strong, and the highlights definitely outweighed the misses. Would I return? Absolutely, especially for the short rib.

A great spot for a pre or post Show dinner! We had a group of six and made a reservation before hand, we were seated quickly and ordered a bunch of appetizers to share. The food was absolutely delicious. Zero complaints. The waiters that we had were so friendly and took such great care of us. Shout out to the bartenders who made our cocktail, every drink was delicious! The interior of the restaurant is stunning and the bathrooms are clean and maintained well.

Enjoyed the karaoke. The food and drinks were good. This is a great place to celebrate a lively occasion or just a fun night out. The service was excellent from beginning to end!

The place to be!!! Dined here twice in 3 weeks! A very busy , lively, happening place! I love the vibes here! And with all that going on staff members are very attentive, & give great high quality service! Even higher quality is the food! The spring rolls, and the SunGoddess sangria are a must! A great place to celebrate any special occasion or life in general!

horrible ! Please choose another place. I went here from my birthday , came all the way from new York . My expereince was horrible . The manager said he didn't care about me leaving a review becauae the business would still be here. The food was equally as disappointing as the experience. Steak was tough over cooked. lobster wontons were extremely bland. save your money .

The ambiance was soulful and laid back. I decided to dine here alone on a Friday night during the DJ's R&B set. The host explained tables were full so I decided to sit at the bar. The service from the bartender was fair, but efficient. I ordered an appetizer and a main course. When the food arrived...it ALL arrived. I was expecting the food to come out in order. Instead I sat there for three hours trying to eat everything fast enough before it got too cold. I highly recommend the oxtail bao buns; that was the grand slam of my night.

Came here for an event. When they handed us a menu we thought we could order off it but it turns out it was a preset menu served family style. I thought the appetizers were a little weird. It's weird fusion of American and Asian. A lot of cheese which I'm not a huge fan of. So I avoided the appetizers. Among the food items served was chicken fried rice, peking duck, chicken satay, shrimp, potstickers, and of course, steak. The food was ok. The meat was amazing as it is a chop house. Cheesecake was dessert which was interesting. There were 3 flavors: Hennessy, blueberry, and either raspberry or strawberry. The Hennessy one was the best in my opinion. The room we were in looked like a wedding venue, so much so that everyone at the table kept commenting that it looked like someone was getting married. Overall, it's an ok place but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.

My first time at Brooklyn chophouse was exceptional. The food was delicious. We had their well-known chicken SaThai. We also had some rice, chicken ; Everything was really delicious and shareable for 2. Not to mention. The lychee martini was really good. They made it different than what I'm used to it was like a little thicker, more coconut nutty flavor but still delicious. Service was great. I would definitely go back. I'm still thinking about the meal that we had there it was expensive, but I think it's worth the price, especially if you're celebrating a special occasion.

He helped us make the right selection of steak, and appetizer. We were seated with a nice view of the outside promenade. At first glance the dining room didn't seem large but on the trip to the restroom I learned that they can accommodate large groups and have private rooms as well. Restroom was clean and equipped. We ordered the crab cake, 12 oz. filet mignon and lamb chops, and the lemon cake. The crab cake was chocked full of delicious crab meat, not a lot of breading. The steak was flavorful and arrived hot. The double-bone lamb chop entree was enormous, and delicious. It was accompanied by parsnip puree and a mint-pistachio chimichurri, scrumptious!! For my pre-birthday dessert I chose the lemon cake and was delighted to see Gerard had also brought [ME ;) ] us the strawberry Hibiscus cheesecake and I was so happy he did!!! Both were absolutely mouth-watering. This is a great spot pre-Broadway or Radio City, as I could see it from my table!!! Can't wait to go back!!!

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.
