Had landed in Rapid City that morning and the Badlands was the planned destination for the afternoon. Staff was friendly, and the burgers were good. I ordered a Coke, and they just hand you a cold can. They did bring me a cup with ice when I asked but in a sit down restaurant it was a little weird to me. Not the most polished place but not many options in the area. It hit the spot and gave us a good start to the afternoon.

Restaurant and bar area with the family. We got pizza and burgers. Good times. Good eats and drinks for the area.

Good vibes, drinks, and eats for the area if you're visiting the Badlands. :) We got pizza, burgers, and a few adult beverages. All goooood!

If you're staying in Badlands National Park and want a tavern, you might think to go to Wall. Me, I'd go to Wagon Wheel. - Old school saloon with bar, pool table, game machines. - No draft beer but they have a decent selection of bottles and cans. - Menu is limited. I'd stay away from the bison burger (dry, flavorless) and go for the pizza. - Friendly attentive service.

This is a typical bar for this part of the country I believe. But they treated us super nice and were welcoming. The food was basic but good. Check them out when staying in the Badlands.

Food was very good! Had a pepperoni and sausage pizza, corn dogs, and onion pedals. Worth the 2 mile drive out of the park. Good service as well!!!

We had a delicious dinner before entering Badlands National Park! This bar and grill was one of the few restaurants in Interior SD and we decided to try it out. The waiter / owner was very friendly and he was prompt. We ordered three homemade pizzas and the owner was honest to tell us how long the wait was before putting in our order. They were only able to heat one pizza at a time. The pizzas were very delicious. The bison burger (or buffalo burger?) was disappointed though. The meat was very hard and overcooked - not sure if that was the way the meat was supposed to be. The interior decor was cute. It had a few arcade machine and billiards table inside. Very classic small town bar, great experience there.

Service was great! My friend and I were the only ones in the bar but our server was kind and the ambiance was fun for a western bar pub. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, build your own pizza and onion petals. Im vegetarian and was worried about finding options in South Dakota and was happy to be fulfilled here. The food came out super fast. It was nothing special but it was exactly what we needed on our extrenuous hiking day.

Only place to eat in interior, SD. Bar keep was nice and friendly. Because it is bar food it gets 3 stars as you cannot obtain 5 stars in my opinion. The fries were hot and the burger was just okay. Did not coke with anything on it besides onions. Was cheap and affordable.

Came in for a burger and a drink. Sat at a table and the bartender quickly gave us menus and took our drink order. He came back with the drinks and took our food order. Got the buffalo burger and fries which was not bad but not gourmet as we were in a bar. Bottom line, service was great, food was ok. I would eat there again.

Great service and good buffalo burgers. We stopped with a pretty big party and she took care of us. Glad we picked this place for lunch.

Very Delicious fresh food super Amazing Service and…read more Really Kind staff. Enjoyable little cafe

If you're visiting Mount Rushmore and looking for a place to eat before or after your visit, I…read morecan't say enough about the Powder House restaurant. It is a must stop. Service was really good from the time I called to be added to the waitlist to our hostess all the way to our server. The food came out at a reasonable time. Ordered: -Kids spaghetti -Kids cheeseburger and fries -Ribeye- a little chewier but still a great cut. -Prime rib made perfectly very flavorful I was super surprise and highly recommend prime rib if you are a prime rib fan. It comes with two sides which I got to pay extra and ordered the garlic fries. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by here to dine. I have no complaints whatsoever. It was actually the best meal I have had during my visit to this state. When my sister in law recommended this spot, I did not think that I would have enjoyed it as much as I did. Just because there is not much food options in the area and I didn't think that this spot could produce really good food since I am from California and am a foodie. And well Powder House is kinda in the middle of no where. Well, 2 thumbs up from this Yelper. Add this spot to your bookmark and make sure you go! Tips: -Call ahead to be added to their waitlist. -Indoor seating only -Alcohol served here -They have a kids menu -They have their own private parking lot -Credit card accepted -They do charge for splitting plate of eight dollars. -Restroom available. -Very laidback casual atmosphere.
