This place was decent. It's my first time at a place that serves all you can eat Wagyu beef. We made a reservation for a weeknight and they were able to accommodate our party of 7. Our waitress explained the menu to us, but that was about it. We didn't really hear from them again and had questions, but gave up halfway through the meal. The food was decent. It reminds me of Korean bbq, but with Wagyu beef. I also got a Wagyu slider, which was okay, but stick to the meat so you don't fill up on carbs. The inside does feel as but cramped, but the night we went had no big crowds and no long waits. I don't mind trying this again, but I'm told chubby cattle is better so I'll have to try chubby cattle before I decide which of the two is better.

It was our first time dining at a Chubby Group restaurant and our server Gia let us know about joining the Chubby membership which will let you have a discounted member price for meals across all Chubby group restaurants and also on your birthday you get credit for a free meal. We came to celebrate my 2 boys' graduation and they are teenage boys who love meat. The wagyu beef selection was amazing and the meat quality was really good. The Wagyu beef toro literally melted in our mouth. I'm not sure if it's full service or not but our server Gia was so sweet she cooked for us most of the time. I really liked the sesame cold tofu and the house salad. We got the premium plan which came with unlimited soda and dessert we can order egg tart, cake rolls and ice cream. My boys definitely ate their money's worth!

Had the best experience at Wagyu Factory. We opted for the select menu with member discount on Thursday night after son's promotion ceremony to celebrate as my boys love Wagyu. So many great cuts of Wagyu & burger, enjoyed sashimi, fries, wings, chicken karage, spinach side, corn cheese. 90 minutes, 6 orders each time wait of 3 min. In between. Service was amazing by Talia & food runners. It was quiet enough in a booth for a lovely conversation. Enjoyed several servings of ice cream. Thank you so much!!!

Made a reservation on Yelp - highly recommend. Was able to sit about a 5min wait. Everything is ordered off the iPad, no snack bar like chubby cattle. Duncan our server was solid, and very fast. We ordered a bunch and he helped clear the dishes promptly. Hits A5 ootoro, fatty melts in your mouth 5/5 Argentina shrimp- huge shrimp! And delicious 5/5 Scallops garlic noodles 4/5 Wagyu Bibimpab 4/5 Misses: Unagi, i recommend grilling as it comes cold and semi hard 3/5 Shrimp tempura-too much breading 3/5 Match green tea ice cream 3/5 not a strong matcha flavor more like a vanilla Egg tart 2/5 pastry itself was stale custard We also ordered a bunch more and would note that items don't come in order so it's a little hard to remember what you're missing. The iPad helps though since you can see what you ordered

Gia held down the fort as the only server working that morning! She was friendly and took the time to explain the ordering process since it was our first visit. Ordering through the iPad was quick and easy, the food was great with plenty of options, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely recommend!

Wagyu Factory is a high end AYCE wagyu BBQ spot and is part of the Chubby Cattle group of restaurants. This location is similar to how a Korean BBQ place operates. Ordering is done strictly through an IPad or communicated to one's server. One is allowed to order 6 items at a time, and then must wait 3 minutes before ordering any more. They have 2 menu options: Select ($50 - limited meat options and only available on weekday lunches) and Premium ($70). Premium Wagyu ($70) - This option included quite a few cuts of M9 beef (Australia's highest standard, and options included ribeye, short rib, wagyu steak, top blade). However the best beef options were the A5 wagyu brisket and A5 wagyu ootoro. Both were extremely thin and had so much flavor and I would recommend getting those exclusively! It only took 2 seconds for these cuts to cook on the grill on each side. There were veggie options to choose from including salads, edamame, kimchi, zucchini, potato, mushrooms, etc. Other items included: sashimi, suchi, handrolls, takoyaki, calamari, chicken kaarage, shrimp tempura, dumplings, and so much more. For dessert their matcha ice cream was excellent as well as their egg custard tarts. Overall service was outstanding here, and the quality of items and options were great! This is probably the best Chubby Cattle restaurant I have tried. Pricing is fair for the quality of meats and options that they offer.

My first impression was, "Great location without the crowds." We had a great time at Wagyu Factory Lake Forest, the food was great and our server Abraham was exceptional! He checked in on us often, was friendly, attentive and informative on all the menu items. The menu was expansive, the food quality was great, and we loved our server who made our family welcome at the table. Thank you for an awesome dining experience! Loved the easy ordering options on the tablet and the food service was quick. The menu was expansive from appetizers to meat options, cold dishes, desserts and more. Endless choices for everyone at the table. The lasting impression? "Great service, delicious food and menu options, great hospitality!"

While looking for a new Ayce bbq spot, we stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. The atmosphere of the place is really cool with tons of thematic decorations, and a wide variety of things you can order. The server, Talia, was also super kinda and accommodating throughout the experience. She was always on it with water refills and checked in when needed - grill changes and orders came fast as well. While the meat was good quality and delicious, with so much wagyu on the menu it can definitely get really heavy. Even when trying to pair it with other sides, it was hard to eat a lot. It's tasty but the end stretch becomes harder as you try to get your value out of the Ayce (especially cause it's pricy). They do have membership options to help reduce the price if that's something you're interested in!

Wagyu Factory Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Wagyu Factory

Do they cook your meat?

No, you cook it yourself

Can I make reservations?

Yes. You can make reservations via Yelp Reservations.

How much is kids?

$69 without the membership for premium ayce, everyone at the table must have the same menu.

Is there a hot pot on the El Toro location?

Don't think they're set up for hot pot at this location. When we went, it was just bbq. I think the Tustin location is shabu shabu.

Is this halal meat?

No this is not halal meat

Is this the same as V wagyu bbq? Not sure I see a sign that says Wagyu Factory.

It's under new ownership, they changed the name. It's the same location.

What's the Pricing? Kids?

It was 69.99 per adult for the nicer menu. Not sure how much for kids. We did see children there.

I have to say it was quite a surprise to find out that it has become an all you can spot now. The sweet server told us all about how the ordering menu looks like (you order from an iPad) only 10 items at a time and then once you place your order you have to wait a few minutes to order again. They guide you and prep the grill so you can cook your meat. We tried basically one of everything. I loved most of the meats, some I could do without. Overall the restaurant is pretty spacious. Decoration is nice and I just loved how excited and enthusiastic all the workers were to serve you and give you all the information you needed about what you ordered. I guess they even offer a membership so if you go eat at other Chubby meat locations you get discounts over time. I look forward to coming back again, since they seemed a bit frazzled trying to get all the orders in. But I love the hustle!

I think some of the negative comments about Frank's BBQ come from different expectations of what…read moretraditional Chinese barbecue should be. In Chinese cuisine, some barbecue meats and cold dishes are prepared in advance and may be served at room temperature or reheated before serving. Using a microwave does not automatically mean the food is low quality or not fresh. It can simply be part of the serving process. Chicken and duck are also commonly chopped and served with the bones still inside. This is a very traditional way of preparing and serving these meats, although customers who are unfamiliar with this style may find it inconvenient. The food here tastes authentic, and in my opinion, Frank's BBQ is one of the best traditional Chinese barbecue restaurants in Orange County. It may not match everyone's personal preferences, but I think it is important to understand the culture and preparation style before unfairly criticizing the restaurant or calling the food bad.

At that point, our options were pretty limited. The only meats available were pulled pork and chicken. I completely understand that restaurants sell out of popular items, especially BBQ spots, but being out of that many menu items well before closing and not offering any flexibility or substitutions made for a frustrating experience. Inedible Garbage…read more Back on Sunday, September 17, 2023, my wife and I decided to order dinner using Grubhub. BBQ was on our mind and we found Texas Pit Bar-B-Que on the app. Noticing they offered brisket and three-types of ribs, we placed an order for two brisket plates and an order of Louisiana-style ribs. Let's just go ahead and establish that this restaurant does NOT offer Texas-style anything. Far from it. I should have known when I was prompted to choose how I wanted the brisket prepared, with the selections ranging from "rare" to "well done," like I was ordering a steak. I chose "medium well," despite the fact that this should not have even been a question. The brisket arrived looking like over-sauced, burnt pulled pork. I never saw the option to select between sliced or chopped, but I certainly wanted sliced, juicy brisket with that nice pink smoke ring. Instead, I got sloppy-joe meat that had more sauce in it than it had meat. And, as for that nice "smokey" flavor that one expects from smoked meat, this garbage tasted like it was smoked over literal garbage. No idea what kind of wood they are using, but the "smoke" flavor of this dried, burnt, chopped, over-sauced abomination was seriously off-putting. The ribs were no better. One wants rib meat to "slide off the bone." These were "gnaw off the bone" tough. They were absolutely horrible. Very tough, over-sauced, and like the brisket, they had the same off-putting "garbage" smoke flavor. The beans were undercooked, hard, and mostly soupy sauce that tasted like they had been seasoned with a can of Manwich. The French fries were undercooked, and the potato salad was just plain not good. However, the coleslaw was acceptable, and the cornbread was actually pretty good. If I had ordered only slaw and cornbread, I would have probably been satisfied. Instead, after tipping the driver, I spent $109 on this meal, a meal that could have been beat by the worst McDonald's visit. The bottom line is that if they cannot do any better than this, Texas Pit Bar-B-Que should consider closing their doors. In fact, given how poor the reviews are here on Yelp, I'm extremely surprised that they are still open. Some of the reviews seem to indicate that they used to be a decent place to dine. If that is true, based on my experience, those days have long past. My guess is that they are able to survive only because tourists and individuals new to the area go there without reading the reviews. That's what happened to my wife and I. Lesson learned.

Food is great, good smoke on the meats. Prices are very competitive…read more Lots of parking in the lot.

Bad to the Bone BBQ is actually Great to the Bone!!…read more Came here on 4th of July for one of their holiday feasts. It was a huge box filled with delicious bbq for the whole family! It came with 2lbs of brisket, 2 racks of ribs, 1lb of sausage, 24 pieces of bbq chicken, coleslaw, cornbread, mac n cheese, homemade potato chips, a peach cobbler, and a gallon of lemonade! The brisket was perfectly cooked with a nice smokey flavor and quite juicy. The house sausage was great, I could eat it every day. The chicken was so good with just a bit of char for that nice grilled taste. The ribs were amazing! They fell off the bone and had a perfect bite to them. Their bbq sauce is really good too, not too sweet yet smokey. Coleslaw was good and fresh. The mac n cheese was gooey and so cheesy. The chips were actually really nice, crispy, and salty. The cornbread was delicious especially with their whipped honey butter on top. For dessert I couldn't ask for a better bite than from the peach cobbler with their homemade whipped cream on top. The staff were all so nice when I went to pick up my order. Even though they were swamped for the holiday they were calm and did everything with a smile. There were 2 dining rooms that I saw so it looks like a ton of space. There's also a whole display where you can grab some bbq sauce or hot sauce to buy. It also changed the tip I entered to auto apply their own tip. After I paid, it showed me my total that they already collected payment for PLUS the tip they decided they wanted to force me to add. How could this be legal? I immediately called the restaurant but no one was answering the phone. Went to the restaurant and explained the situation to the cashier who told me I am the second person today to complain about this! She was unable to refund the tip that they took the liberty of applying themselves but I left my phone number and am still waiting to hear from the manager, otherwise I will have to take this up with my bank. Now for the food, I ordered a brisket sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. The brisket was not trimmed and it's inedible unless you like a mouthful of fat in every bite. Every single slice of brisket on my sandwich was just a slab of fat with a little meat hidden inside. I had to clean it myself and once I did there was barely any meat in my sandwich. I am attaching photos so you can see how pathetic it looks. Had I dined at the restaurant I would've sent this back or shown them how much fat I removed and asked them to bring me the equivalent in MEAT not fat, which I paid for! I would love to hear from management about what happened here regarding the deceptive pricing. As far as the food, not sure if they just have gotten lazy and don't trim their meat anymore but anyone who knows bbq knows the effort needed to properly clean brisket and that was certainly overlooked here. $25 total for a fat sandwich and a side of super oily mac and cheese. Definitely not happy in the slightest.
