Wagyu Factory is a high end AYCE wagyu BBQ spot and is part of the Chubby Cattle group of restaurants. This location is similar to how a Korean BBQ place operates. Ordering is done strictly through an IPad or communicated to one's server. One is allowed to order 6 items at a time, and then must wait 3 minutes before ordering any more. They have 2 menu options: Select ($50 - limited meat options and only available on weekday lunches) and Premium ($70). Premium Wagyu ($70) - This option included quite a few cuts of M9 beef (Australia's highest standard, and options included ribeye, short rib, wagyu steak, top blade). However the best beef options were the A5 wagyu brisket and A5 wagyu ootoro. Both were extremely thin and had so much flavor and I would recommend getting those exclusively! It only took 2 seconds for these cuts to cook on the grill on each side. There were veggie options to choose from including salads, edamame, kimchi, zucchini, potato, mushrooms, etc. Other items included: sashimi, suchi, handrolls, takoyaki, calamari, chicken kaarage, shrimp tempura, dumplings, and so much more. For dessert their matcha ice cream was excellent as well as their egg custard tarts. Overall service was outstanding here, and the quality of items and options were great! Gia was our server and she was so sweet!! Just an fyi because we were surprised but Wagyu Factory is related to Chubby Cattle so if you have the membership it applies here too. If not, you still get points through the chubby app so it's worth downloading. I don't love that they ran out of the select menu so you had to get the premium ~$60/person. The ambiance is dark, loud but surprisingly not filled with bbq smoke which I appreciated! Gia cooked our first round for us perfectly. I personally love ordering off an ipad but I know some people absolutely hate it like my parents! Try their fried tofu, chicken skin dumplings and do not sleep on the desserts! The server, Talia, was also super kinda and accommodating throughout the experience. She was always on it with water refills and checked in when needed - grill changes and orders came fast as well. While the meat was good quality and delicious, with so much wagyu on the menu it can definitely get really heavy. Even when trying to pair it with other sides, it was hard to eat a lot. It's tasty but the end stretch becomes harder as you try to get your value out of the Ayce (especially cause it's pricy). The only standout item is the M9 Wagyu short rib -- that one is genuinely good. Unfortunately, every other meat we tried was mediocre at best and overly seasoned. We ordered brisket and toro and specifically requested no seasoning, but the cuts were strange: not Korean-style thin, not thick either -- just awkwardly cut, which affected both texture and grilling. Another big issue: the grill was extremely dirty. It looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned between tables, which is pretty unacceptable for a BBQ place. They seriously need to step up their table and grill sanitation. Service is where things really fall apart. They are severely understaffed, and even when the restaurant is nearly empty, it takes forever to get seated. First visit: waited 15 minutes after being told it would be 5 minutes, then left. Second visit: had a reservation and still didn't get seated until 10 minutes past the reservation time. Once seated, ordering and receiving food is painfully slow. The manager is a huge problem. He has a bad attitude and acts like customers are inconveniencing him just by asking for service. On my first visit, I asked for a menu and said we were ready to order. He responded with, "Oh, place order on iPad, ok..." -- except there was no iPad on the table. Don't assume every customer magically knows your system, and definitely don't give attitude about it. Honestly, if this place weren't part of the Chubby Cattle group, I would never come back. The membership/NFT pricing is the only reason it's even remotely worth considering. We were trying to look for newer non Chubby Group high quality AYCE jbbq/kbbq places since we just had Chubby Cattle but ultimately ended up sticking to Chubby Group because it has never failed us and it would be around the same price. Sometimes Chubby Cattle is a bit too much and we wanted a more "casual" meal, and Wagyu Factory at this location ended up being the perfect vibe for us tonight. It was not as crowded at the time we went so we didn't have to wait. Thee service was probably the best we've experienced out of all the times we've gone to a Chubby restaurant. Talia helped us out tonight and she was AMAZING. Talia was extremely welcoming, helpful, and attentive. She recommended the short rib and prime top blade which ended up being our favorite as well. Tried Wagyu Factory recently and really enjoyed the experience. It's AYCE, with two tiers depending on how premium you want your wagyu. The weekend is only the higher tier. Of all the meats, the short rib and brisket were standouts--super tender, flavorful, and easy to keep reordering. Staff checked in often and tried to keep orders moving but at one point the kitchen was backed up and orders were coming out later than normal. It happens, but the staff were really good at changing the grill frequently, which I appreciated. Lastly, if you are a fan of the Chubby family, they also offer a membership with discounts for return visits, which is a nice bonus. Overall, a great spot for an indulgent but casual meal. read more

Been here a few times and tonight's dining experience warrants a Yelp review. Not sure if the earlier times we went they were still training staff but tonight was perfect. We always come for an early dinner around 5:30PM to beat the dinner rush. Right about when we end our meal, there are parties waiting outside. On the weekends, it is PREMIUM pricing only ($69.99), no other options. During the weekday, there are cheaper tiers. Yes the price is steep but the quality of meat and fish you get here is unlike anywhere else in the area. You order from an iPad. Up to 6 items can be sent to the kitchen every 3 minutes. Dining limit of 90 mins. The menu is huge. I highly recommend trying all the wagyu meats - our favorite is the short rib cubes. They also have seafood, sushi, sashimi, soups, cooked food (chicken karaage, fries, dumplings, calamari, and a new option - a wagyu burger, size of a slider), and desserts. Drinks are also included (canned soda). Staff here is attentive and efficient with the grill change, you don't even have to ask. If you think you'll be eating here at least 4 more times this coming year, the Chubby Club membership might be a good fit for perks and discounts. Ask your server about this. Clean establishment. Want to start off by saying that Duncan gave our table amazing service despite how busy it was and the fact that it was Thanksgiving!! I was really between 3 and 4 stars for this restaurant because the only thing that was a 10/10 was the meat itself BUT, you have to specifically ask for no marinade because no one at my table liked it and we had to eat multiple plates of marinated meat that tasted a little funky until we figured out to put a note in each order for no marinade. It tasted a little too smoky and ham-like. Another reason for the 3 stars is that the other side items you can order really made us regret getting it. The sushi was okay not bad not amazing, but that wagyu bibimbap was seriously INSANELY SWEET like sweeter than I order my boba drinks it was so dessert-like and it kind of tasted like in n out (idk it just did) so it was such a strange bite. However, despite the little flops that our meal had, I'll give credit where it's due. The unmarinated meat is spectacular and so perfectly fatty and delicious!!!! I really wanted to like this place, and I would say our server Gina made the experience as pleasant as possible, she was super friendly and made sure to check in on us. When we did get our food, it was pretty good as well, I would say the meats somewhat tasted the same for the most part, but was still very high quality. In one order, we would send a few plates of meat and then also a couple orders of sashimis, multiple times, the meat would come out but the sashimi and sushi was no where in sight.
