We decided to stop here before our reservation at Kings Bowling. We'd been before and thought the food was decent, so figured, why not? We were seated right away, and our waitress quickly took our drink orders. I got the black and white milkshake, which was really good. But after we placed our food orders, things took a turn. We ended up waiting a long time with no food in sight. Looking around, we noticed no other tables had food either. Something felt off. We could see meals just sitting on the counter--clearly ready--but no one was bringing them out. Not sure if they were short-staffed or what was going on. When our food finally came, the fries were ice cold, so we sent them back. Our waitress didn't seem too pleased and responded with a passive "okay?..." which didn't feel great. Thankfully, when the fries came back the second time, they were hot and absolutely delicious. The onion rings tasted good but were mostly breading with barely any onion. My sister and I split the "Our Burger," which was actually delicious, and everyone else enjoyed their burgers too. Because of the delay, we had to call the bowling place to let them know we'd be late. Aside from the incredible ambiance and being graced by quotes from their movies and fun pictorials of the Wahlberg brothers it was exciting to be inside this storied place. It's a clean modern space with equally sanitized separate gender restrooms. The sweet potato tots were good and so was the deep fried pickle chips...but that Black and white milkshake was the star. We must've been in a very sweet tooth mood because that was the best shake I've tasted in a while. We ordered the Dorchestah and the Double-Decker. With the tomato jam (ketchup) these came out to 900 and 800 calories a piece respectively. We have to honestly say that this is a one and DONE for us. However....if we just wanted to hang out somewhere to watch a game (they do have a full bar here too) we might consider coming here. 2025 update - still enjoy this restaurant every visit. We have since lost our dad, and a few years later our mom, but this is still our go to place to meet up and see each other from all over the region. I get reminded of this review by Yelp from time to time, and it makes me so happy to have documentation of such a special day for us. This was our second time here and it was so much better. This time I requested my burger to be cooked well done and it was perfect. It was cooked through but not at all burnt. My husband got the Our Burger and he said it was one of the best burgers that he's ever had. It was my birthday so of course I had to get the birthday cake shake, it was good but it didn't look like the picture showed it should look. The decor there is fun, lots of pictures of the family and Mark's movies. They need an NKOTB poster, though- if there was one, I didn't see it. Our server was good. I had a truly disappointing experience at Wahlburgers in Lynnfield Market Street. While we were seated quickly by the host, things went downhill from there. We were handed menus, and then... nothing. No one came to check on us or take our order for over 10 minutes. Meanwhile, a server was standing around near the host desk, but it seemed we weren't assigned to anyone--or worse, we were just ignored. The whole experience felt like we were forgotten, and it left a bad taste (ironically, since we didn't even get to eat). This kind of neglect is unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one tied to such a big name. It's clear this location needs better staff who actually care about the customers. There is no hostess at the door to greet you. You walk down to the register and order. You are not made aware that table service is an option. Then when they take your order and you pay and leave a tip they say go sit in the front near the drafty door. What if you want to sit in the back? That's for table service. Wait, what? There's table service? If I knew that was an option to begin with, I would have taken it. Can't have someone at the door full time? This was an abomination... Me and my friends went here to get some food and it went upside down. The service here was horrible they took 20 minutes to take our order and 40 minutes to get the food. The food mediocre and they didn't mention the extra charge for sides when ordering a meal. Our server Alex took advantage of me and my friends because we are young. He came up to us at the end of the meal after having atrocious service explained the whole concept of tipping and circled the tip box. We decided the service didn't deserve a tip and so we left the box empty. The meal was 47.50 and we paid 50 looking for change he gave us a fowl glare and then gave back the friend's card and kept our receipt and change. Had to try it out especially knowing the background of the restaurant. Have to say very happy with my decision. Great customer service from the moment we entered. Great atmosphere and you can tell everyone is enjoying themselves. The burgers were great! BBQ Bacon burger was my favorite just added an egg, (Donnie's choice) the impossible burger was also good. First off the service was beyond slow. The waitress wasn't that friendly either the food came out beyond cold fries were cold and stale tasting as well. Overall I just wasn't impressed with this location. Also I was there on a work trip so I needed to get back to my job and it took a good 25 minutes to try to figure out where to pay the bill. Nothing special about this place. Tried it tonight for the first time, got a burger with bacon onions, cheddar Mayo and mustard sauce. Right off the bat, the packaging was nice, a step up from your standard McDonald's packaging, but the sandwich was lackluster. Burger was ordered medium, and was definitely well done. Dry ass beef, no juicy ness, the mustard was non existent which was the selling point of the sandwich, couldn't see or taste it, so good thing I ordered the mayo, otherwise it'd been inedible. Regular French fries were soggy, so I can't even imagine what they'd be like with the toppings they advertise. I don't think id be in a rush to try this place again, especially with the current economy. Five guys puts out a better product. Save yourself the hassle. read more

If I could give just the food a rating... it would be a 4 stars however several waiters made me very uncomfortable with their under their breath comments. In light of the holiday spirt, I did not feel very jolly in there. Let me explain. So when you walk into the restaurant there is a seating area in the front and in the back, yet there is no sign or info signifying a difference between the two. Since the front was full, we ordered our food, and sat in the back. However then we hear this waiter (male, mid twenties, dark hair -- I think his name was something like Matt) starts speaking under his breath, to his older manager, but loud enough for us to hear " but there is four of them back there" and continually looking at us and gossiping with other coworkers rather that walking over to us to let us know what the problem. At this point I too am confused. We later realized what "Matt" was mumbling. The back was for people who wanted to be seated and served rather than the people that had ordered at the register and dined in. However, not one customer in the establishment was aware of that. All Matt did was pick up trash around the restaurant. Next time, just talk to the customers instead of gossiping like a teenage girl. Do better. Conclusion: good food, bad service read more

After trying the store bought burger( witch I recommend) I decided to take the trip to get the real thing, was very good and same as store bought meat. Went to Wahlburgers today with my toddler, my wife and my mother. We arrived at 6:45 since the restaurant closes at 8:00. My family went in first while I parked because my wife needed to use the bathroom. She went to the bathroom and then sat down to wait for me When I walked in, I was stopped at the door and told I needed a mask. I told the lady, I didn't have one and I would gladly wear one if they had an extra one. She said no and sent me away. My family then came out and my wife had an extra mask in her purse. I put it on and we walked back in. We were met by a different unmasked employee who told us the dining room was closed and we could only take out. The time was now 6:53 and i explained were already inside. I then asked what time the "dine in" closed. She became annoyed and said they would close the dine in "whenever they felt like it." We enjoy Walhburgers and are big fans of the Walhburgs. This Lynnfield staff gives them a bad name. Today, their rudeness cost them a weekly customer. Sorry. read more

This was not good. We drove from CT to experience the joy of Wahlburgers. In my mind it would be a wonderous experience, where I would see Mark Wahlberg and be on the Wahlburgers show. Yet, we did not see any Wahlbergs, and the burgers were total crap. Even the fries and tots were just greasy and bland. I get why this is a touristy place, but why would local people continue to eat here? How is this chain actually expanding all over the world? This one was located in a shopping mall in Lynnfield, MA. There was about a 15-20 minute wait and they text your cell when your table is ready. Very small area to wait so convenient to walk / shop a little in the meantime. Service was fast, server was very friendly and attentive. The ambience and decor filled with "Wahlburg" to buy, to look at (walks & ceiling) and videos to watch. Keeps you occupied while you wait for your order which took about 30 min. You can select what you want in your hamburgers and its preparation with sides. The hamburgers, sweet potato fries and the onion strings were ok and glad we came to try it. Had a bad experience at a different Wahlburgers regarding terrible service, but hoped it was a one-time situation so gave the chain another shot. I have been to this Wahlburgers many times in the first few years it opened and had always had a good experience. Today, we arrive at the restaurant and are greeted by a friendly worker at the quick-service counter. She helps us find the hostess to get a table and are sat down. Our waiter comes over and drops napkins off but left before taking our drink order. 10 minutes later he comes back and takes our order. Food took 30+ more minutes to arrive which is understandable to some extent but also not since the restaurant was pretty much empty. Everyone else at my table got their food and the waiter walked away and started tending other tables-- I hadn't gotten my food and he didn't say that it would be coming over shortly or anything. We flag him back down 5 minutes later and he was just as confused as to where my food was--almost like he forgot I ever even ordered. My food took another 10-15 minutes to come out after that and in the meantime, we noticed one of the people in my party had gotten their order incorrectly. Our waiter did not come back over until we tried to flag down the manager. That issue wasn't solved for another 15-20 minutes. By the time we had all of our food correctly, the original people's food was cold. The food itself was quite delicious--but likely would have been better had it been fresh from the kitchen and not sitting on the table getting cold. No apologies from management or the waiter, even after he forgot my food he never came to apologize or explain the situation. I understand that people have off days and the staff were quite nice to us overall (we had no rude interaction with them), but given that the restaurant was not crowded and we still received bad service, I am quite upset. Long story short; the food was incredibly delicious but I will not be returning to a Wahlburgers again after the horrible experiences I have had with the service at multiple locations.
