When I arrived there were lots of people at the host stand and they all seemed to ignore me? Other people were coming in behind me and I was standing right there and they were talking to everyone but me? There weren't enough water glasses at our table, and the food took a long time to come out. That being said - I'd eat here again. The booze list looked great. The rest of the menu looked good. When we arrived, the estimated wait was more than 90 minutes. We opted for takeout instead. Her name was written wrong (that made us wait an extra 10 minutes at pickup as they couldn't find any order that I had placed in person 30 minutes earlier) and the manager was required to process the transaction as the host couldn't do it herself. The order was fulfilled correctly, which we appreciated. The harvest bowl with chicken was very flavorful. The ahi tuna bowl was good although seemed to be a rather low small serving. The 7-layer chocolate cake was definitely a hit. So the food works. Service is slow and attention to detail can use improvement. If you're meeting a group, probably a good place to go. If you want a dinner out without advanced confirmed reservations, your mileage may vary. read more

I had the lobster roll, which was not the biggest I've ever had, but every bite had big chunks lobster, no small pieces of meat, and just a trace of mayo, highly recommend! I had the sweet potato fries, hot crispy and plentiful. My wife ordered the chicken piccata, perfectly cooked and a large portion of both chicken and angel hair pasta. Plenty left to take home for Saturday night's dinner. We've been here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed! We went for Mother's Day with 7 adults and one child at 11:30. We were sat right away and put in an order of Mac and cheese so we could feed our daughter. It was very good and came out quick! We had a couple of issues with our meals. My mother in law ordered their swordfish special and asked if it could come with the spinach risotto and our waitress said it already did. It came with mushroom risotto and my MIL doesn't like that. They brought out the correct risotto. My sister in law has celiacs and she ordered the brunch burger with the gluten free bun and my dad sitting next to her ordered the regular brunch burger but didn't want the fried egg. They gave him one with a fried egg and then delivered one to my sister in law that she had to ask if it was gluten free. It was not so she had wait for the correct one to come out. I know they take their allergies very seriously but this mix up wasn't great. Glad my sister in law double checked. We got two free desserts which was nice and overall the food was excellent. Had a nice dinner here after a shopping day in market street. They had openings despite not having a reservation and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The place was busy during this time. I had a very good crab bisque which was a special that was full of flavor and meat! A rare find. We also tried the buffalo dip, which was easy to eat, fresh, and extremely tasty. They had a great list of martinis and drinks. Tried a lemon one I believe which had hibiscus. Very delicious and they put the extra into another glass. Decided to split a steak and frites with truffle fries which was no extra cost and had a really great taste. Tender meat and crispy fries. Overall a very delicious and filing meal. This place doesn't get the credit it deserves. This was my first time here on a Saturday night I made a last minute reservation for 745. Hosts were attentive on a busy night and got us sat a little before our time. Our server was professional and sweet and we really liked her. They make martinis and certain drinks at the table which I think is unique and good. The menu had a lot of different options for every picky eater. We got one of their specials of the night called shrimp carbonara, i ordered the steak frites and my dad got the salmon. We started with the best calamari as well. Very fresh and crispy - homemade tartar sauce as well. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. The pasta was actually very good We ended the night with the chocolate cake- a must try for sure. I've been slowly making my way through the restaurants at Lynnfield Market Place and I regret not having tried Burton's sooner! I went with some friends for a night out and we were not disappointed. We started with the calamari, a solid app, and the grilled stuffed zucchini which was a tasty surprise! The savory cheese combined with the texture of the zucchini was a hit with us. For dinner I tried the harvest bowl with steak which was great. A blend of seasonal vegetables, rice and quinoa it was filling enough to span two meals. I love when there's enough to bring some home without feeling too stuffed or leaving hungry. We stayed for dessert and had the key lime pie and chocolate cake. Both had smooth flavors that were excellent. One note though as someone who doesn't have a significant other who enjoys sweets - the chocolate cake was enormous! Had an alright time at Burtons. First time there and don't see myself going back anytime soon. We sat outside and ordered drinks and an appetizer. It was a beautiful night and they have a really nice patio. I'm glad they have GF options, my friend had celiac. We trusted the place would be able to accommodate and they did! The menu looked really good and the food walking by looked good. Our only issue was with the server/ drink orders. We ordered two different martinis and when they were delivered it was a mess. The server didn't know the difference between either of the drinks, gave us the wrong ones and one of them was made completely wrong and I was given (and drank) out of mine and it was supposed to be my friends. I unfortunately had gluten and couldn't just give it to her. The server did make the correct drink for my friend and I wasn't given my correct drink. It was a confusing mess. My friend eventually got her right drink and I was stuck with what I got. I suggest maybe making sure you know what drink is what when dropping them off at the table and to put in the correct order. My friend and I made plans to meet here for drinks on a Friday afternoon. We chose to sit at the bar and were surprised it was already half full by 3:30 pm. As I was recently coming back from a trip, I only had water while we were here. But my friend was familiar with the bartender and knew ordering an extra dirty martini would come out exactly as requested. She was even kind enough to give my friend the extra portion that didn't fit in the martini glass. Overall, we had a great experience. We were seated next to a big window by the parking lot that had a huge parking lot light shining onto our table. It sounds so silly, but it really ruined the ambiance and felt like we were eating under a spotlight. The service and food were both good, but we could not believe the price of everything. Our bill was pretty hefty for just two people! There are locally-owned spots in our town that we would much prefer to spend this kind of money over Burtons in the future. Would I come back? Needed a quick lunch before some appts on Friday, Aug 12th. We had been to another Burtons before and were delighted that they opened a location near us! Decor: Typical large chain bar and restaurant. Bar seating was ample; the decor was modern and open. Drinks: we sampled a few drinks, but the clear winner was the Special Watermelon Basil spritz. This was so well-balanced and super refreshing! Food: App, we opted to try both styles of wings. The Sriracha Maple was good, but the heat was waaaaaaay in the background and could have been amped a bit more. The Mesquite rub wings were sooooooooo sooooo soooo good. The flavor was addicting. Lick your fingers clean! Both wings were cooked beautifully, crispy on the outside and super tender and juicy on the inside. Hubs had the Gen Tso bowl. He loved it; his chicken was fork tender too, and he didn't even need the knife! And he loved the charred broccoli too. He started talking about how to recreate it at home! I had the beet salad with salmon. This was a unique spin on plating. I got tons of beets, kinda wished for more greens to make it a "salad," but overall very good, maybe a bit sweet for me with dressing as well. Waitress was very friendly, but seemed a bit busy at times (for things like refills and other requests). We skipped apps, diving right into entrees. Almost everyone ordered the ribeye. The cuts were a bit leaner than I was expecting; flavor was good and they were tender, I'm used to thicker cuts for ribeye. One order included the blue cheese topping, it was just dressing, where I thought it was going to be a blue cheese crumble (this was disappointing). Mixed feelings on the brussel sprouts, and the salad was a bit lifeless (like it was sitting around a while). We ordered the key lime pie, and the chocolate budino pudding for dessert. While each costs more than $10, they were pretty ample. The pudding was incredible rich/dense, and not what I'd consider pudding. It had a good flavor, but wasn't what I thought it was going to be. During Saturday night rush she managed to get us our drinks, apps, and meals all within a timely manner without mistakes. We got the cheeseburger egg rolls to starts which were hot and crisp. I went to Burtons in Burlington MA recently & was very impressed so I decided to try Burtons in (my hometown) Lynnfield MA. Nope! I ordered the Maxx Burger which is the same thing I had in Burlington. The burger itself was well prepared but the onion rings had skins all over them and were soggy because they were placed under the burger (why?). The fries in Burlington were fresh made and fantastic! The Lynnfield fries were coated with that flaky stuff that all the budget restaurants have on their fries and tasted like they were previously frozen. Also, I asked for no extra salt on the fries and they were over salted. I'm old and need to watch my salt & even McDonalds can accommodate this request. The service was conscientious and kind, very professional! The ambience was lovely. They need to learn from Burtons Burlington and improve their food quality because it was pretty poor. read more
