    Loaded nachos with carne asada

I stopped by this little fish taco joint when I was in the area and definitely not disappointed. I know it's a chain, but I think it's one of the only ones in NJ so it doesn't count for me. I love that they have outdoor, dog friendly seating area. It's great especially in the summer when you're out and about. The best part though? The food is bomb. Even though it's a chain, it's got a really fresh quality ingredients! I love that the fish tacos come with slaw and not just plain cabbage. Also the rice and beans that come on the side are absolutely delicious. Honestly overall a great place to stop by for a quick meal. Also, the prices are really reasonable! Especially for the quality of food.

Asada 1988 style and spicy chicken with citrus slaw. Outstanding!

When in Middletown there's only 1 place to get street tacos and beer, that's Wahoo's. They ah e a neat little outdoor area and a bar to sit and eat outside. The interior is roomy and kind of fun. I've been here several times abs tried most of the menu so I can safely say everything is very good. The price points are fair I'd not at bargain levels and you get your belly full to boot. The staff is friendly fast and attentive. Don't miss a chance to tru Wahoo's.

My bestie, goddaughter and I got together for dinner and took a ride to this restaurant. When we arrived I parked in the plaza lot. We walked up and there was indoor and outdoor seating and we choose indoor. The restaurant is set up to order your food at the counter, pay and they will bring it to you at the table. I ordered the Alaskan Flounder burrito teriyaki style. My friend ordered the steak quesadilla. While we waited I went over to the bar and ordered the espresso martini which was good but not enough lol. When the food came it was very good. The owner Rimy came around and checked on us several times and he was very nice. I will say the food and drink was very affordable. All in all I enjoyed my time.

Hubs and I have been wanting to try this place for a while but never got a chance to because we kept forgetting about because we live far away. Well, we finally remembered to come here and give this place a try. He ordered loaded nachos, which is described as your choice of protein topped with jack & cheddar mix, beans, jalapeños, served with salsa, sour cream & guacamole. Hubs said that it had chips, salsa and beans. What's there not to like? However, we could've added any protein to it and it could've tasted the same. He chose the fish as protein but had no clue as to what kind of fish it was. Overall, it tasted like a plate of nachos with a protein on top of it. There was nothing exhilarating about it but it filled him up. Daughter ordered the salmon bowl, which is Alaska salmon grilled with light soy marinade, served over rice & citrus slaw with a side of homemade aioli. She says that it's been a long time since she had cooked salmon and this filled her up. However, she felt it could've used more seasoning. She thought that it was good but it could have been better. Lastly, I had two enchiladas, which is any protein served with rice and beans, garnished with salsa. You can also substitute one side with citrus slaw or salad for an extra charge of 50 cents. I also had fish as well but didn't know what kind of fish it was. I chose to keep my sides and not substitute anything. I had a choice of red or green salsa and chose green. It was ok, no big deal. I felt this place was more Tex Mex/Southwestern kind of food and I'm not crazy about it. Service was ok and quick. Maybe, I'll return to try other items on the menu, eventually....

We were looking for a nice lunch in the area and definitely found it! Deliciously fresh fish tacos and just enough food to fill us up. Really cool place inside for either pick up, dine in, or just grabbing a quick drink at the bar. Really cool place. Friendly place. We'll be back!

Carne Asada with rice and beans

This place doesn't look like much from the outside as it is nestled between a TJ Maxx and a Livoti's. Their menu looks like they have a ton of good options ranging from tacos to bowls. It also tries to present itself like a Southern California beach taco spot. I would also highly recommend sitting at the bar and trying some of their drinks. Finally, I had a bowl with carne asada, rice, and beans. I opted to add avocado slices for a couple extra cents. The carne asada was in a sauce with sautéed vegetables (onions, peppers, and mushrooms). The steak could have used a little more seasoning but the rice was good. The beans were just normal black beans from a can. They could have tried to add some flare to it. Nonetheless, great spot and I am looking forward to trying more food in the future.

Finally tried Lubrano's, had heard good things from friends. Decided to just go the take out route…read moreso no comments on dish presentation. We ordered the Pasta Al Forno as an appetizer & Chicken Scarpariello for the main dish. Was quoted 35-40 min when I called it in, arrived ~30 min, paid & food came out near the 40 min quote. The pasta - for us the cheese on top was perhaps over toasted as it was on the dry side. Flavor was fine otherwise. Not sure I'd order this for a main dish without added protein though. The Chicken Scarp - excellent. The chicken & potatoes were very tender. The mild sausage makes this dish come together, it adds a level of savoriness to complement the balsamic sweetness in the sauce. I also like the long angled slices of sausage nicely seared on each side, it was not expected vs other versions that I've had. Meal also came with bread to soak up that chicken sauce. Also noting the place seemed packed, only 2 spots on their lot were open plus it sounded busy inside. Will try it next time onsite with one of my many fine bottles of wine. :)

There were quite a few people showing up the same time as we were. We were immediately seated after arriving. The restaurant is small, with the front area consisting of the pizza kitchen and a couple of tables. Beyond a door to the right is a narrow dining room with bright yellow walls and tables seating 2-4 people lined up against the walls. The tables are covered in white tablecloths and framed paintings adorn the walls. We ordered the following: Toscanella salad, which has romaine and iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, onions, green and black olives and your choice of dressing. We chose blue cheese dressing. It was pretty good and fresh. Eating this made us all feel healthy. LOL. Calamari fradiablo (app) - this was delicious and spicy. This dish inspired Hubs to make it. LOL. Before ordering the appetizer, we asked our server if it was deep fried or sautéed. We were glad to hear that it was sautéed and not fried. The app also came along with garlic bread and it was pretty good. Shrimp and scallops D Angelo from the dinner special, which has jumbo shrimp and sea scallops sautéed with garlic, basil, diced tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil in a plum tomato sauce served over angel hair pasta. This was delicious! The scallops were fresh and rare. The shrimp wasn't overcooked and we loved it. Everything about it was great. I didn't realize that it came with soup or salad until we saw the bill. Veggie pizza large- Hubs liked it a lot. Daughter liked it as well. We were seated in this narrow dining room with their pizza oven on the other side of the wall. The heat came over to our side and it was really hot. It happened to be on a day we had a heatwave. Lol. The only parking they have is outside the restaurant. We tried to look for a parking on the side but there weren't any so we were lucky to have found a parking right in front. It was a little nerve-racking backing up into the street, but it was OK. Parking is a little tight. Service was friendly and quick. I'm glad we stopped by for dinner! Will definitely return when in the area to try other items on the menu.
