Can't go wrong. I'm from AZ, but when I'm visiting in CA I'm always excited to stop by a Wahoo's whatever part of CA I'm in. The selection is always delicious and the service is fast, fast, fast - and atmosphere is always chill. My fave is their fish tacos, but I have had a few bites here and there of other dishes, and they certainly don't disappoint. Reasonable prices too, so it's definitely a great option if you wanna stay on a budget. read more

I got the tacos with bonsai veggies, Cajun beans, and brown rice. My food and drink came out very quickly, I was checked on, and was thanked as I was walking out. This review is purely about customer service. I tired to order for pick up on Grubhub and it appeared they no longer take orders that way. Then I decided to call in the order. I called 3-4 times over a 10 minute period. No answer. I went in and ordered an told the cashier about the issue. He didn't seem too interested in the issues I was running into with the take out order. I even showed him my attempted calls and confirmed the phone number and still, not a care in the world. I must admit, the food is good here and the cashier is not responsible for the phone issues. But a little investment in customer concerns or complaints goes a long way. Definitely didn't display that here. Are you ever going to get online ordering going via the company website? Makes life easier and quicker when picking up a family dinner. read more

This is one of those places that I have been planning to try for a while. Finally had a chance. Very disappointing. Between us we shared 2 meals of fish tacos. Very little flavor and somewhat watery. Lots & lots & lots of beans and rice. This would probably be ok if you have never had really great fish tacos, but as for us: we will not be back. This is a favorite lunch spot for my family, the food is always delicious. Excellence in fish taco-ness, and the shrimp is great as well. I only get the seafood though. Thumbs up for the portions on the combo plates, I always get the black beans and brown rice. Today, the tortilla chips were not good... not very fresh and a total lack of any salt. At the drink counter, all three iced tea dispensers were on their last cup, and when I went back for a refill 25 minutes later, only one had ANYTHING in it. The Kid's Plates are not at the same level as the regular menu, i.e. the nachos, the same stale tortilla chips showered in cheese. Chips and cheese, no toppings, no side. Service was good though, and pretty quick despite the full restaurant. I'll still be back, just adjusting what is ordered. read more

We have been coming here for several years. In regards to food, it's the only place I know that has become better over the years, the service has always been professional and gracious. This is a great mix of healthy and comfort food. I love the fact that I can get brown rice, fish and whole beans (healthy). I can also have chips & salsa, tacos and burritos (comfort). The place is FUN with a skating surfing scene and fun staff! Personally, I'd eat Mexican food everday and with Wahoo's I can stay a little healthier doing it! I never liked fish until I ate their fish bowl and had the blackened fish - WOW! Now I am a "WAHOO" (type of fish) fan! The Carnitas are amazing too. I am not a huge fan of their salsa, but I LOVE the green sauce!!! This is a fun place to eat and hang out especially on Wednesday night with live music! read more

I love wahoos I have been going for years and years. Unfortunately the food at this particular location was not good. We ordered a salad and fries and another appetizer. I got home to my hungry husband who hadn't eaten all day and I put together all the food. The salad tasted off the chicken didn't taste very good the amount of fries they gave me was a joke and they were super soggy and undercooked. Very disappointed and still hungry. Probably won't be going back to this location which is a bummer because it's the only one close to us. read more

Recieved a gift card to this place for xmas. I went in tonight to try it out and I gotta be honest this place is not that good. Over priced street tacos. I paid $3.85 for a small taco that I can get for 1-2 dollars. The meat was dry and the hot sauce is not that good either. I also ordered Mr. Lee's screamin chicken burrito with out mushrooms and when I started to eat it I noticed that 90% of the burrito was just rice with a sprinkle of meat and they didnt add the cheese. I'm definitely disappointed with my visit. I had such high Hope for this place because of the reviews but I will definitely not be coming back to this establishment. The one thing I will say is the staff was very nice but that's not enough if the food is terrible. So I give it 2 stars read more

We have always been a Wahoo's family and were thrilled when the Temecula location opened. The staff is wonderful, friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. The best part about Wahoo's though is the food. It is fresh tasting and delicious. My family always starts by sharing a basket of fries with ranch and ketchup. I usually get the chicken tacos with black beans and ahi rice; but we have tried most things on the menu. My mom's favorite is the bonzai shrimp bowl because she loves the grilled veggies. My husband has several dishes he rotates because he loves them all including the steak salad, the pork sandwich and the pork burrito, which he likes wet with red sauce. The salsa is much milder than I usually prefer, but it has a very fresh tomato taste and I always get an extra bowl to dump on top of my rice and beans. There is a bottle of Tapatio on every table for patrons that like a bit more spicy flavor. They have a cold case of bottled beverages (including organic chocolate milk boxes for the little ones) and a self-serve soda bar, but I am a sucker for their fresh brewed iced tea. They have three different varieties, but I am absolutely addicted to the passion fruit. Overall, Wahoo's is a great place to get a fast, fresh tasting meal in a very casual environment, served by a friendly staff. read more

This place is great for what it is! Healthier choices in a somewhat fast food way. They have a gluten free menu here. Don't assume something is gf, like a fish taco, as I did. The Cajun spices are not gf so no more of that wonderful wild caught salmon for me. (Why do I have to learn things the hard way? Thank God I don't have celiac disease!) However, you can ask if they have any salmon that is not marinated yet maybe they could cook up a gf version for you. read more

I would highly recommend their Maui Bowl because it has a little bit of everything!!! Wahoo's is a great choice, and not just for fish tacos! I love their vegan and vegetarian options, and typically get a combo with two tofu tacos, brown rice, and Cajun white beans. The only thing I wish I could they could offer would be the Banzai vegetables without mushrooms (they are mixed together beforehand). Good beverage options (e.g., three types of iced tea, multiple bottled beers, margaritas). Don't forget to ask for Mr. Lee's, a spicy garlicky paste that enhances anything it touches. This location is great for inexpensive food after wine-tasting in Temecula wine country, which lies just east. read more

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this place from a random ad on the radio and a coupon I picked up off the sidewalk. Decided to go there on a whim. The owner works along side her employees and is amazing. Remembers us every time we go in. She always makes time for each individual customer and making sure they get what they need and want. She also personally goes around and waits on you at your table to make sure its up to standard and expectations. I have tried just about everything on the menu now and can tell you its AMAZING.
