Made reservation through yelp. Got to location. Parking was puzzle to find. I'm not a regular in Old Town and figuring out parking between valet , no valet, designated parking non designated parking. I'll do my research prior for next time. Got some steps in to get to the entrance. Live band was playing when we arrived 5:40 on a Friday. That was nice cause it wasn't too loud and it wasn't too soft. "Just right". We were seated right away and I enjoyed the environment. Old West meets, new school feel. I'm bad with names but our server was amazing, super friendly and patient. My friends and I went on a Saturday evening. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We originally got a table inside by the live band but the music was too loud for us so we moved to an outside table. Our server was very nice and attentive. My friend and I shared the Steak Frites and asked for medium rare but the steak was cooked medium/medium well. The truffle fries were delicious. The service & staff was great. They do bingo night every Tuesdays. We had such a fun time on bingo night. The lady calling out the numbers was hilarious. But the food was just ok. My son didn't like his Mac n cheese & said it was bland. My fish n chips was so small & overcooked. I only got 1 fish & my whole dinner consisted of mostly just fries. The fries was good tho. We have always enjoyed coming to Crush & Brew so for my husband's birthday we decided to start the day at Thompson & Twain. We walked in & were told T & T was closed due to a shelf that holds some of the alcohol broke so they wouldn't be opening until 5pm. We decided to stay at C & B. We waited almost 15 min before a server came to our table. She was sweet & said there was confusion as to who was assigned to your table. We ordered 4 drinks. 2 drinks arrived pretty quick and it appeared the other 2 drinks were forgotten. After about 10 min we asked about the 2 missing drinks, a beer & a cocktail. The server said she's trying to find someone who can make it & pour the beer as she was only 18 yrs old. There were only 6 customers at the time. We ordered truffle fries & shishito peppers after asking if they are gluten-free, which she said yes, they are. I ate 1 pepper, which was delicious, but I tasted things in the sauce that might not be GF. I reconfirmed with our server. She said the sauce is made with stir fry sauce & soy sauce, both traditionally contain gluten. Needless to say, I didn't eat any after that. Too big of a risk. Highly recommend identifying GF friendly items on the menu. Staff needs customer service training. We came back to T & T after dinner. We were able to see into it through the wooden slats, only 1 table occupied. When the hostess came out she stated the wait would be 1 1/2 hours. Really??? We went to Crush & Brew for dinner during a Bachelorette weekend, and overall had a good time! Our server did a great job keeping up with our group of 12, which isn't easy. The restaurant was pretty full and seemed like a local spot, which gave it a fun, lively vibe. It happened to be karaoke night--maybe it's every night? Either way, it was entertaining, even though most people seemed to be picking really depressing songs. Not Crush & Brew's fault, just an observation. Food-wise, we mostly enjoyed everything, though there were a few misses within our group. I personally loved the fried zucchini--freshly made, crispy, and a generous portion. The bacon fries were also solid and came in a good size. My caprese salad was the last dish to come out, and while it was fine, it definitely needed some salt and pepper. I was traveling home and decided to take a walk to stretch my legs in Downtown Temecula. For it being a Sunday it was so busy and crowded with folks, seeming to do the same. After my walk I decided to grab a bite to eat before making my way home, so i stopped at Crush & Brew. The featured foods were along the lines of California Cuisine - fresh and quick. The menu had a brunch side, which had me curious about the fried rice with pork belly. Instead I opted for something a bit lighter: caprese salad and wings. The staff was very accommodating and offered me their favorite way of ordering wings - which worked out nicely. The wings came well seasoned and prepared as I requested: extra crispy. We had a bday reservation for crush & brew and here's my suggestions vs negativity. Check what entertainment will be going on we were limited to talking through dinner because it was so loud. Make sure that you have that understanding with your waiter/waitress that your food is running on time because we were a party of 5 and it took like 30 minutes minimum to receive our food...now I know what you're saying it's a weekend night pack your patience but however we watched a table of 9 who came after us receive the food and pay the tab and go by the time we received our meal. The food and drinks were amazing and the mgr was very apologetic but at that point there wasn't a whole lot he could do for us for we were already going to be paying and calling it a night, we just wanted to make him aware of the situation! We made a Mother's Day reservation expecting a nice family meal and had one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. The restaurant was nearly empty -- maybe 3 tables occupied -- yet it took over an hour for the first plate to arrive, and it was cold. Then another cold plate. Then another. By the time the remaining meals came out, also cold, everyone was frustrated and honestly just over it. Instead of trying to fix the situation, staff asked if we wanted boxes while we were still sitting there clearly unhappy and barely served. The final straw was my father-in-law saying, "I'll just eat my burger, I'm starving." The manager brought it out already boxed and bagged. He had specifically requested no lettuce. When he mentioned it, she confidently replied, "Sir, that burger doesn't even come with lettuce." We opened the bun. Full lettuce. The expression on her face said it all. No accountability, poor service, cold food, and a completely disappointing Mother's Day experience. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

Super cute Halloween decorations! Came to old town for a drink. I found parking right away on side street and was headed to 1909. I passed this place and honestly, it was so cute that I just had to try it out. I was seated right away. I ordered an espresso martini (which was good and strong) and the brew burger. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with the manager, Aaron, was disappointing. I came in with a concern and expected a professional conversation, but instead I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. Rather than listening and trying to understand the situation, Aaron seemed more interested in being argumentative than providing customer service. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but there's no reason for a manager to speak to customers in a disrespectful manner. A manager should set the standard for professionalism, and unfortunately that was not my experience. I hope the business addresses this issue, because respectful communication goes a long way in maintaining customer trust and loyalty. read more

Someone said we could get our fairly large party into Crush and Brew-3 tables of eight... We arrived at 5:20 tonight and were immediately seated. We had all three tables served by one waiter -he was also the bartender. The young man ran his rear off and tried to make 24 people happy. But he was overwhelmed by doing two jobs at one time for everyone. Some people got drinks and appetizers immediately; We had to wait for beers, and my wife was the only person at our table who had to wait for her entree after everyone had finished their meals (her fish and chips went to the wrong table). We were rewarded with mostly hot meals, some decent, others bland. While we decided to leave, others in our group at another table were just being served, however there were was three on the table that were served an hour before the last four. Friday night packed? Nope mostly empty except our group. Reason? Most dysfunctional restaurant I've ever been in my life. Never go there until management changed, hires more staff and get their cr@p together!! read more

We also had Vinegar and salt fries. They had to be one of the best fries is not the best fries I've ever had. Definitely recommend the fries. They have a few different options. I highly recommend the giant Pretzel also. It was pretty much a perfect pretzel. They obviously care about quality at this establishment. I would like to try more things here but I tried to wave down the waitress for about 30min. She would even look my way with my hand raised. She would even check in the table next to us face my direction with my hand raised and she would just walk by even if we made eye contact. We weren't rude or loud or anything. We were very courteous so we couldn't figure out why she was like that way with us. We felt we could've walked out without paying our bill but we are too honest to do that. I really wanted to like this place when I walked in. However, we could not just walk in, because the party of 5 ahead of us was blocking the door because there was no one at the greeter's station. They politely moved to the side to allow us to enter. There were no employees available, we could only see one very harried bartender, with no other employees in sight. After several minutes a person, who I believe worked there, shuffled the party of 5 off to a table. We were left standing at the entrance for at least 10 minutes until my wife asked the overworked bartender if we could seat ourselves. He agreed and we did. Once seated no one approached... ever. Finally, my wife went to the overworked bartender and ordered two drinks and an order of fries. He was quite the professional and refused to let her carry them. He delivered them with an apology, but no explanation. After 45 minutes of waiting the overworked bartender transitioned to a waiter and took our order. He also delivered the fries... after 45 minutes... We finally placed our dinner order of two steak frites. My wife's meal was mostly fat and mine was only 1/2 fat. Anyways, after almost two hours we asked for the check, the overworked bartender turned waiter took excellent care of us and was gracious and kind. The total bill with wine was over $120. The dinner was forgettable but the dude who waited on us was a treasure. Not sure I would return because management shows a clear predisposition to limiting labor over customer experience. But, I may, just to see if we get that awesome bartender turned waiter guy again. read more
