Roger has no PR public relation need more classes to treat people like they belong there. We as clients pay and make there pay checks. Me and my girlfriend went here for the first time a couple weeks ago not expecting to order more than a couple fish tacos, but we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of choices on the menu. I got the loaded carne asada quesadilla and she got the carnitas bowl. It didn't seem like anything special looking at it on the plate, but the meat was some of the best we've ever had. It was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The rice was buttered just the right amount, and the toppings were evenly spread inside the quesadilla. The guy who I'm assuming was the manager was also really nice. This is the first restaurant I've ever been compelled to write a review on yelp about. Came here on the drive to our friends and wanted to try a new place out. The atmosphere was nice and the speed of the service and food was ok. I ordered the Otter Burrito w/ Carnitas and a fish taco (because it says it in the name of the place) and my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Salad. Great food, but the experience is lacking. Ordered food waited, I'm the only person besides someone else that received their food in the building. I'm looking at the cashier watching the TV and then looking at the cook clean the kitchen. I walk up to the counter and the cashier asks if I needed anything I said I am just waiting for my food. The cashier walks over to the cook and asks her if she was cooking my food. I believe that is when she started cooking my food because all she was doing before that was cleaning. Yes!!!! They have vegan options. So happy. I got the Banzai's bowl. Was going to get the burrito but didn't want the extra carbs so I went with the bowl. I got tofu of course for choice of protein and It comes with broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, some other veggies I forget and of course black beans and brown rice. Add some fresh made salsa with just a hint of soy. A frequent order - Chicken Burrito ordered WET STYLE with green sauce. A la carte unless you're really hungry for the white rice and beans. The burritos are kind of dry unless you order then covered in red or green sauce and cheese. Absolute favorite, Wahoo chicken salad with extra green cilantro dressing. Creamy dressing - fresh - no fat. Xtra fresh dark mixed greens, no iceberg lettuce, tomato, guacamole, cheese, tortilla strips. YUM! Be sure to ask for a knife cause the greens could use a little cutting. On a cold day, split the salad and get a bowl of tortilla soup. Homemade - at least it's not from a tub-o-soup concentrate. You can tell someone cooked it from scratch on site. Well seasoned broth, chicken, fresh carrots, cabbage, salsa and seasoning. I always get a bay leaf. I'm either lucky or it's part of the dressing. Came back thanks to Jake S. I had the Son of a Classic Burrito with fish...hold the cheese. It was extremely tasty. While I do love the banzai veggies like no other, the slaw in this burrito was excellent as well as the salsa, its spicy but not too hot, just a little kick to play off the citrus in the slaw. As always, the service was wonderful and I love that you can enjoy a much needed cold one with your excellent meal. I still asked for a side of the green sauce (no clue what it is but I do know that angels crafted this stuff so of course its amazing). If you go please do yourself a favor and order a side of this pure amazingness! The atmosphere is really cool and the staff and service is always friendly, helpful and nice which helps you with menu and makes for an excellent experience. I love never getting bored looking around at the stickers inside too. There is a patio outside also so I'm bringing the pooch next time. The only thing here id consider Mexican is their fish tacos, chips, salsa and guacamole! The rice and beans here are much healthier then regular Mexican food and the atmosphere is that easy, laid back yeah I'm a surfer attitude! I love it. The walls are filled with stickers and the feel is surfer slash skater place. A calm environment to be in definitely! Been coming to this location for years and the employees are always super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious! I'm bummed they took chicken taquitos off the menu, but always a great dining experience regardless. I think Covid mandates made it difficult for patrons to really enjoy the experience for a while which was frustrating, but not Wahoo's fault. I've been to Wahoo several times over the years but I never found the right "fit" that made me want to eat there more than every once in awhile. Then while on my latest vow of "I gotta eat healthier," a friend suggested we eat at the one in Temecula last Thursday. I had no objection, I always liked the freshness of their food. My friend ordered the grilled wahoo bowl with white rice and black beans and I followed suit. Wow. Large portions, tasty and healthy :) It was actually more than I could finish, so when I told the gal who checked on us that I didn't want to wrap it up because I was going shopping, she said they also had a kids size that is about half the size. Good to know. So yesterday when my hubby asked what I wanted for lunch, I ordered the kids size wahoo bowl but this time I went with the cajun white beans. It gave the dish a good "kick." A great place to stop for a burrito whenever heading out from SD to/from the mountains. The food Is consistently good like every Wahoo's, love the veggies in their Banzai 'ritos. Here's why The Binch gives this place 5 stars though, the service is excellent! From the smiling girl behind the counter asking how your day went to the busboy, it's rare to get this level of courtesy in a chain restaurant. Makes a big difference when returning to civilization after a multi day backpacking trek. Whatever the owner does to motivate the employees, keep it coming, and I'll keep coming back! read more

My husband and I came here on a nice, warm Sunday afternoon and sat on the patio. I had the salmon tacos with a mango margarita and he had shrimp nachos with a Pacifico. It was such a nice atmosphere! They were playing chill rock (everything from Sublime to Blink 182 to today's music) it wasn't too crowded and the food was delicious. I've been wanting to try Wahoo's for a while and I finally got to try it last night. Ordered: Chicken Teriyaki Bowl - The Chicken was in cube form which was unexpected because I eat chicken all the time and that's really not how its supposed to look like. The flavor of the teriyaki was only so-so. The white rice was on the dry side. I won't be buying this again. Kalua Pork Bowl - I usually order this in the authentic way on the Big Island. I have also tried L&L's and Ono Hawaiian. The Wahoo's version is the worst version I have tasted. I wanted to spit it out. But unfortunately, I had to swallow it. I will NOT be ordering this ever again as well. 2 Carne Asada Tacos - It was very simple. Beef strips. A little cheese. Some greens on the top. The meat was tough and dry. NO FLAVOR at all. Won't get this again either. OVERALL: I was very disappointed because I really wanted to like this place. Sadly, it wasn't even close to being mediocre. I hope that I can find something that I like in this place. I will try one more time and order what they are known for next time. Maybe it will be different next time. read more

First time at a Wahoo's and it was better than good...almost great. I was greeted by an uber-friendly cashier and ordered the 2 taco combo platter, chips & salsa, and an ice cold Pacifico. Not a shabby $10 meal in my esteemed estimation. You pay when you order and the food is delivered to the table of your choice. I suggest sitting at the table you want your food delivered too...not doing so can cause quite a stir. I went with the fish tacos (when in Rome), white rice and black beans. The chips & salsa were great. The salsa tasted homemade and not store bought. The platter was tremendously huge. Not the fish tacos so much, but the pile of rice and black beans. It was TOO much actually. I couldn't finish it. I did finish the tacos and they were very good, especially when topped with the tomatillo sauce. I couldn't give it 5 stars because there were stray plates and plastic cups strewn about the dining area; even on the patio (where I sat). But the Pacifico went well with the meal.
