When I walked in the office, the reception area was full of clients (good sign) and I was directed to a room with 2 fancy chairs and a table to sit at to fill out paperwork. Hannah asked if I would like to get a skin analysis (of course I asked "how much") which was free. From that analysis, Hannah created a specific facial for me, targeting my oily nose and large pores, mild rosacea and lymph nodes. I was seated in one of those fancy chairs and my Esthetician came in and introduced herself. Kimmie reclined the chair and put a soft Ugg blanket on me and got some steam going. Kimmie did her thing, while I got to relax and enjoy the facial. After Kimmie was done, Hannah came back and did some red and blue light treatments and also treated my eyes. I am hooked! Ivory Beauty Spa was good about reminders, confirmation, and giving directions to their location and where to park: As you drive down Kalakaua Avenue, turn left onto Lewers Street (where Louis Vuitton is) and turn right into the Waikiki Galleria parking structure. Go up to the 5th level and park in a Visitor stall. Take the elevator to the 6th floor. The interior was bright, clean, and modern! I was asked to have a seat and complete a form. Next, I was taken into a room where my facial was done. It wasn't like a regular facial where I would change into a robe. The gal didn't introduce herself. She didn't tell me what she was doing. She only asked if the towel temperature was OK. Then, I went to another room for red light therapy. A different gal, Chanel, tried to sell me a package with 8 products, a red light therapy machine, and some facials. The price was quite high. She lowered the price because I'm a resident, but I still didn't buy the package. It was an educational experience. LOL! I was happy for two hours of free parking in Waikiki!

It's actually a great concept because there are showers located in some of the treatment rooms for privacy, there's a kitchen for storing the collagen water and keto snacks you'll want when your treatments done and it has a really nice vibe to it. Although they offer a variety of treatments I had a Collagen Facial which was new for me. Using a special machine the tech applied heat to my face to raise collagen production. A wonderful mask was also applied and I also received light therapy. I've always done more traditional facials with extractions and peels so this was a whole new way of doing things!! Follow up care included staying out of the sun and drinking lots of water and wearing sunscreen ( things we should be doing anyway). 5 days later I'm writing this review and I'm happy to say my skin looks smoother and healthier. Things to know about the Collagen Facial : 1. It's a special machine that makes the difference. 2. You have to stay out of the sun for a few days or the treatment will not be as effective. 3. It does not hurt one bit and you'll probably fall asleep. 4. You can park right in the driveway or there is also tons of street parking. 5. The owners of Kaila Hou have invested so much time, love and money into this spa!! Everything is top of the line. 6. They sell an awesome product line in Spa.
