It's really a 3 but rounding up for local business. We heard about this place through TikTok and we were craving a Matcha so we stopped by. I really love the New Zealand theme and honoring their ancestors and culture through this coffee shop. However, the tea here is not very strong or very good. The matcha was super weak and I got a London fog, but it just tasted like milk. I will say I love that they had macadamia milk as an option for a milk alternative so that's really fun and cool. I do wish they served a better version of a Matcha and other tea products. I think their coffee is probably good but again we wanted to go for tea. Overall service of the staff was good and again it's not the best Matcha, but I really loved the vibe in the decor.

Solid matcha spot in Victoria as someone who comes from Vancouver. Been here twice and it's a cozy little cafe with super friendly staff. Definitely recommend checking this place out above anything else if you're in Victoria and need a matcha fix.

A very popular bakery in downtown Victoria, and it's easy to see why. We stopped by for pastries…read moreand coffee. The shop itself is quite small, with only couple seats along the wall. Everything in the display case looked delicious, but we decided on the lychee raspberry & rosewater pastry, the pistachio ganash tart and the pork & fennel sausage roll. The pistachio tart was fresh with a rich nutty flavor, though it took a little finesse to eat because the filling kept wanting to spill out. My favorite was the lychee raspberry & rosewater pastry. It was flaky, with a delicate sweetness from the fruits and a subtle floral note from the rosewater. You can really taste the dedication in these pastries. I'd recommend going early in the day as many of their items tend to sell out quick.

We bought a cake here for my mom's 70th birthday and were so impressed! We chose the "Crusty…read moreForest"--their take on a Black Forest cake--and it was absolutely delectable. What we loved most was that it wasn't overly sweet. It had a wonderful, strong fruit component from the cherries that balanced perfectly with the chocolate and a light, thin layer of whipped cream. The cake itself was incredibly moist and executed with such care. It was a total hit for the celebration! I only wish we lived in Victoria so this could become our regular go-to spot for special occasion cakes.

Absolutely loved this place! Working Culture Bread was one of the highlights of my trip to…read moreVictoria. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, and everything we ordered was so well done. The orange latte was incredible...bright, slightly citrusy, and perfectly balanced with the espresso. It's one of those drinks you think about long after it's gone. I also had the breakfast sandwich, and it was everything I wanted: fresh bread (obviously), high-quality ingredients, and really satisfying without being heavy. You can tell this place is run by people who care deeply about their craft. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

Went here around 11 AM and there was already a long line out the door. I ordered the breakfast…read moresandwich, which is only served from 9 AM to 12 PM. They have three options: vegetarian, vegan, and one with meat. I went with the one that has meat, and my friend got the vegan one. I also grabbed one of the savory danishes and an oatmeal cookie latte (yes, that's a thing, and yes, it sounded too good to skip). My order took a little while, but that made sense given how long the line was. I got my drink first, then the sandwich came out a few minutes later. The first bite was amazing. Super flavorful. The bread was soft and tasted fresh. I tried a few bites of my friend's vegan sandwich too, and honestly, it might've been even better than mine. How is vegan food this good?? I had the danish later at home and it was really good too. Can't wait to go back. I want to try the vegetarian sandwich next time and maybe pick up some of their cool merch.
