Absolutely excellent and healthy option for food truck. Open an avocado fresh for each order.

Mauricio was at the bar and we definitely missed being under his attention by not sitting there. Eliezer (the Venezuelan waiter from Mérida) took care of us in the dining room. Both are always very friendly and attentive. This time we decided to sit in the dining room because we were a group of three and had a lot to talk about. The place has 4 TVs and we were able to enjoy the France vs Spain match. We all ordered La Tropical Draft beer, a light, smooth, and very refreshing blonde. In total we had 16 beers . We shared nachos with grilled steak, which were very good (they pour the melted cheese right at the table). We also ordered tripa tacos well toasted (that's the technique) as we requested, and they came out excellent. Note: They have different promotions or offers depending on the day, not a regular happy hour variety, so it's good to be aware of that. The restaurant offers a good variety of 8 salsas: Sirloin, Chips, Guacamole, Verde, Vicente, Pastor, Chilanga, and Asada. Good atmosphere, pleasant service, and tasty food. We'll definitely keep coming back.

The service was just okay and the music too loud for my liking, making it perhaps not ideal for families with children. It was very busy and not necessarily spacious. However, the food is transcendent. Everything that we tried was outstanding, even the chicken nachos and quesadilla. They season and cook everything properly. The beef tacos were fresh and tasty and the quesabirria tacos were even better. Great flavor and balance. What takes this restaurant to an elite level is the mole. It is exquisite and a rare find.

When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

The taste of food was very good, a bit hard when doing a buffet for several person. The drink selection is great, I was surprise they included the premium beers on this buffet. The service was exceptional our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Everything was bland The yellow rice with frozen veggies was soggy and bland The beans with 4 little shavings of cheese Bland and cold Ordered 2- 3taco carne Meat was bland I added about 4 lemons and a bunch of salt but you just couldn't cover up that. Heap meat taste. My friend ordered the steak and returned it. I ended up sending the rice and beans back for a house salad that ended up having some weird hello sauce on it. It was hot like the AC was broken Staff was nice and friendly But when talking to my waitress she didn't understand me when I asked for a side of ground beef for the baby to eat. Instead she offered chicken kids meal with a side of cheese as she ddidnt like the rice and beans. Fajitas was a 5 out of 10 Ceviche was just ... ok... Churros were terrible and undercooked. All in all over priced and bland. Not authentic Mexican food. Won't be returning.

The chicken on the inside was a little dry though. However, this is by far not an authentic Mexican restaurant like it was advertised. They serve things like pasta and ceviche alongside Americanized burrito bowls and fajitas. Additionally, they were playing live music and it was pretty loud inside the restaurant. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but there was hardly anyone in the restaurant at the time, and it just seems overall excessive. It was hard to even hear our waiter and get our orders placed. Overall, this is a fine place to eat, because I feel like my critiques are mostly a personal preference, I don't think a three star would be appropriate, which is why I left four stars despite my reservations. But I feel like there are some better options near by and wouldn't think of coming back to this restaurant if I was particularly craving Mexican food.
