I came on a Sunday because I wanted a good coffee and I was tired of going to the chain locations. I ordered from here on DoorDash but this was my first time visiting in person and I will say I didn't feel very welcomed and I was passed over in the line. I ordered a frozen mocha which I thought was pretty good. Over all I may visit again. The atmosphere there was really nice for you to come work at during the day or to even rent a space to work at for a while.

Only grabbed a quick vanilla latte to go, but it was delicious! Can't wait to stop in for longer and try more drinks.

They do take reservations, but there is also bar area seating that is open to first come first served. We did have reservations and they were quick to seat us. The main dining area has a good amount of seating they also offer private dining areas for small groups or parties. Not certain which part front or back nine it sits on but the back of the establishment has a spectacular view of golfers out there doing their thing. Now to the food, drinks on point, food is delicious and came to the table at a very good temperature. We both had the filet and OMG the burnt cheese topping was something so amazing that you'd just have to experience it for yourself! We finished it off with their chocolate cake dusted with pistachios and their crème brûlée--both excellent! Glad I found this place, put your putter down and head over, you will not be disappointed!!

After seeing their impressive IG posts advertising their brunch spread, we decided to check them…read moreout. Well, kudos to their social media manager because the post is better than IRL! Before I get to the food portion of the review, let's start with the basics. Brunch starts at 10am and there is a bit of a line that queues outside prior to the doors opening. And no judgement, but there were a lot of serious eater profiles in line so that made us even more optimistic about the food. The line does move a little slow as they take payment up front and also make drinks while slapping a wristband on to tell who paid for the buffet and who didn't. Not sure why they bothered because there wasn't anyone standing online checking for wristbands. But the place was packed by 10:45 so I would advise getting here earlier vs later. Also, unless I missed it, there wasn't a menu board listing what exactly was on the buffet. We assumed that the menu was similar to what we saw on IG. That was a mistake. The selection included waffles, chicken strips, scrambled eggs, shrimp and grits, biscuits and country gravy, bacon, sausage, fruit salad, salmon patties and an omelette make to order window. The good. The shrimp and grits were the best items on the menu. The grits were legitimately delicious and contained plenty of shrimp. However there were no bowls, only plates so if you don't like the run off effect, beware. The chicken tenders were good not great. The segments were irregular resulting in uneven frying with some of my pieces over fried. The bad. The eggs, sausage links, gravy and fruit salad were synonymous with the continental breakfast you get at the Hampton Inn. The sausage links in particular had that dull grey complexion that reeked of either steam or microwave but definitely not griddle cooked. The scrambled eggs essentially fused together in the serving pan so you had to scoop it out like ice cream. And my lady ordered from the omelette bar, and after waiting 15 minutes for it to be ready, she ended up with an inedible omelette that looked like it had been bathed in grease. The ugly. I ordered a Bloody Mary from the bar. The Bloody Mary was good, and included a decent garnish of okra and olives. However, I only ordered that one drink and the 2 buffets. Final ticket came to $87! Not sure how much they charged me for the bloody but I think I would stick with water or a beer if I were you. We may have caught them on an off weekend so there's that to consider. But in general, if quantity over quality is your groove, then by all means make this your next stop. But if you are looking for a brunch with a little more "cookery", you may want to look elsewhere.

But one evening in downtown Charlotte, I had to fend for myself and "rough it" in search of dinner within walking distance of my hotel. Enter Ink N Ivy. From the moment I walked in, the place struck a nice balance -- lively without being chaotic, stylish without trying too hard. I was greeted warmly and promptly seated in a booth, exactly as requested. My server appeared almost instantly with a Diet Coke, plenty of ice, and the all-important lemon. A professional already. For dinner, I ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer along with the salmon salad, making the only sensible culinary adjustment possible: swapping goat cheese for blue cheese. The food arrived quickly and, to my delight, was genuinely excellent. The Brussels sprouts were crispy, flavorful, and addictive -- though I couldn't help thinking a light balsamic drizzle might have elevated them from "very good" to "food critic dramatically closes notebook in approval" territory. But who am I to challenge what is clearly a guarded house formula? The salmon salad was enormous, fresh, and beautifully balanced, while the candied pecans deserved their own standing ovation. Sweet, crunchy, and dangerously snackable. Now, the service itself was terrific, but the true standout of the evening -- and something rarely mentioned in reviews -- was the busboy. Dining alone gives you time to observe the rhythm of a restaurant, and this young man was the heartbeat of the operation. The second a table opened up, he moved with urgency and purpose, clearing and cleaning everything meticulously while somehow remaining calm, polite, and professional. I spoke with him briefly, and he left a bigger impression on me than many managers I've encountered over the years. He clearly took immense pride in his work, and it showed. Given the opportunity, I have no doubt he could succeed in a much larger role someday. Every restaurant has staff members keeping the machine running behind the scenes -- this young man was "that guy." Glad I stopped in. Good food, great vibe, welcoming atmosphere, and one unforgettable member of the staff.
