While walking around Belmont, we came about Wake 'n Bacon. So glad we did! When we entered into Wake 'n Bake, the servers told us they do not take orders and that we needed to use our phones to place our orders. I ordered the vegetarian stir fry. It came with mushrooms, red peppers, caramelized onions, chickpeas, shredded carrots, green onions over a bed of brown rice. The vegetables have been cooked in a sesame sauce. The food tasted divine! The kitchen staff prepared it fresh as the food tasted hot. Joseph ordered the strips of bacon, and the Jorgito Bowl. He said it tasted fine. We sat outside in the swing set. Was pleasantly surprised by how good the spiced maple chicken n waffles were! I didn't know what to expect because sometimes fusion places or hit or miss but they did the HK-style egg waffles pretty well (good texture, crispness, slightly sweet), and the chicken tasted like a more delicate popcorn chicken (super tender, not too oily, etc.). The Ube Flapjack Stack is my go-to choice here - it literally has everything you could want in a breakfast and is bursting with fun flavors. My partner has tried the Spiced Maple Chicken N Waffles and Breakfast Burrito and loves them both. We also always get a Quesadilla as a sweet treat to split - it's a perfect addition to brunch. We've only ever ordered takeout but hope to dine-in at some point when it's safe. It's all very heavy, and all the ingredients strike one, very salty cord. The burger needs something to lift it up. I think it's supposed to have some bacon jam on there. That might have done the trick, but we couldn't really taste it. Overall, the burger was okay, but it was a little disappointing. Next was the turtle waffle. This one was a winner. Light and fluffy, and the perfect amount of sweetness with the whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel. It was a perfectly gooey breakfast dish that you really just want to dive right into. The bacon was a little thick and sandwich was hard to eat. It kept falling apart. The lemon cream cheese was really good but not sure if I liked it in that flavor pairing with the sandwich. Overall, though I thought it was decent and the tater tots were perfect. Many items had a hemp extract add on you can include as well for an additional cost. I liked the way the ordering worked. The chicken wasn't dry & perfectly seasoned. Sweet salmon couscous - yum! I absolutely loved how the salmon was seasoned/glazed and cooked. It was not over cooked and went well with the couscous. A little citrus added a nice balance. La vida dulce - this stuffed french toast dish looked like it would be really sweet, but it wasn't. The amount of sweetness with everything was just right. This was a suggested place to me by tiktok. It was totally worth all the hype. The inside was very cute, and if you have extra time you can have free photos taken at the mirror. You're allow to take the photos home or put it on the wall. The food here is amazing. The burgers are all amazing. The chicken and waffles are delicious. The waffle isn't your usual waffle shape. It's more of the egg bubble waffle shape. The bacon flight is totally worth it. I favorite is the tajin bacon. The coffee was amazing. But not all of them have butterflies on it. If you change the type of milk to you might not get the butterflies. I do recommend getting a reservation, or else indoor seating is not guarantee. There was quite a few Filipino inspired menu items which was awesome to see! First off, I ordered the purple haze ice coffee (ube flavored of course) and it was not only pretty to look at and very photogenic, it was delicious. Next I tried the ube flapjacks topped with 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon with your choice of flavor (maple, tocino, or tajin - i chose the tocino. Tocino, for those wondering, is a Filipino style of pork which is sweetened and pan fried. Similar to chorizo. This dish was very good and I am a bacon lover and the tocino adds a nice touch. My only complaint is that I like my eggs over easy/medium and they came out over hard. I guess I should have indicated that when I was ordering from their online QR code based menu, but I guess I forgot because it didn't ask me how I wanted my eggs cooked. But I know now for next time! I also got a side of maple bacon and that was my favorite. I loved the way it was crisp, yet not hard. With just enough crispness to burn some of the fat on the ends and the flavor was perfect. The hubby gave me half of his Adobe chicken Philly sandwich that came with a side of adobo flavored dipping sauce. The chicken was like the pulled pork and paired with the dipping sauce, this was pretty good! Hubby liked it a lot and said it was a good portion. I and #1 daughter shared two dishes, The Phatty (breakfast burrito) and La Vida Dolce (brioche French toast). The LVD was heavenly. There were a couple of tables with built in swings seating which would have been great to grab but 1) they were taken when we got there and 2) it was so hot, I'm not sure we would have sat outside anyway. It cost me $5.50. Plenty of other coffee and beverage options too. 5) menus will be passed out to you upon seating, but scan the QR code at the table to order and pay upfront. 6) now parking! Leave extra time to look for street parking. I came around 11:30 on a Sunday and took about 5-10 min to find a spot on Belmont a quarter mile away. Not bad. The closest Spot Hero spots are about the same distance away. I checked. 7) you can make a reservation on Yelp! Not sure how much luck you'll have as a walk in, depending on the timing of your excursion. The place seats maybe 40ish. 8) the bathrooms are set up as single close doored unisex units with only a toilet. You walk out into a book to use the communal sink and mirrors. Plan accordingly. Wow, what a major disappointment and waste of money. The place only had a few people in there when I went. They sat me at a two top table in the middle of the room and when I asked to sit by the window, they said no because that was for larger parties. There were literally two tables occupied in the entire restaurant, and it was a weekday in the mid-morning.... definitely not a big crowd coming in. The staff treated me like I was inconveniencing them when I "interrupted" their conversation because I had trouble figuring out how to order on my phone. You have to order your meal either at the counter or via your phone using the QR code on the table. We had the Wake N Bacon Burger, Maui Wowie, and Big Bird meals. The Maui Wowie sandwich was missing the grilled tajin pineapples initially, but the server was able to accommodate quickly. Must have the pineapples if you're getting that sandwich, it's not the same without. The Big Bird sandwich was by far the winner of the three. So extremely flavorful, almost had a fantastic southern tang that brought me back to my roots. Highly recommend! I was searching instagrammable places to introduce to my out-of-town, photo happy friend and Wake n' Bacon absolutely fit the bill. Their flower roof is as eye catching in person as it is in pictures. Their light blue walls with matching floral pattern make the restaurant an inviting place to dine. They also have a full length mirror that acts as a photo booth, which added to the fun of catching up with my friend. Their asian-fusion food was just as appealing. I was slightly underwhelmed by the presentation of their ube flap jack stack; I was expecting the bright purple ube pancakes that I experienced in other restaurants. Aesthetics aside, the pancake was delicious. The texture was fluffy and made for a satisfying portion. It was topped with an equally delicious thick, tender bacon. My favorite part of my meal was the purple haze, an ube coconut milk coffee, which was sweet but not too sweet. Besides the ornate decor, it has a more casual vibe. It is a counter service, so you either order at the counter or through the QR code on your table. Reservations are needed as the restaurant does get full. In turn, the line to order at the counter was a bit of a wait. There are no servers waiting on you on the floor, so if you needed extra napkins, etc., you'd have to wade through the line to get what you needed. Overall, I still found the ordering process efficient, and we didn't have to wait long for our food to be ready. As someone not familiar with city street parking, the worst part was looking for parking near the restaurant. My friend and I arrived late to our reservation after circling the block for an available parking space. They pass out physical menus, but you order and pay online by scanning a QR code. We came on a Monday. We thought the tables were a bit close to each other and could hear other tables' conversations. We ordered the Spiced Maple Chicken 'n Waffles, Jorgito Bowl, and the Purple Haze drink. The food didn't take long to be delivered to our table. Our drink came first and it had a good ube flavor. Once we got the food, it was beautifully plated and definitely photo worthy. And I was surprised how good the food was! We loved both of our items. The decoration in the place is beautiful! They also have a photo booth where you can print out your photos with a Wake n' Bacon frame for free. Unfortunately they were out of paper, but we still got the photos emailed to us. Their style bathrooms are not my favorite. It's one of those where there are just toilets in each room, but the sink and mirrors are out in the hall. Kind of hard to do things like touch up your hair/makeup or clean yourself up when the mirror is out in the hallway where people eating can see you. I LOVE this gorgeous little brunch spot. I came here with two of my girlfriends and we had such a wonderful meal. Their ceiling had florals that hang and make you feel like you're in a pastel tropical paradise. The menu items are have some Filipino flavors which is so unique to see at a restaurant that offers 25mg of CBD to add to your cocktail for less than $4.00. Ordered to share: Spiced Maple Chicken n' Waffles (w/maple bacon) Ube Flap Jack Stack Big Bird Adobo Philly Dip Drinks: Purple Haze (x3): iced Ube coconut milk, dairy of choice, and iced coffee Since we decided to skip alcohol, but still each ordered coffee drinks and split 4 shared plates, our bill was so reasonable (around $30 pax including tip). It can't be beat! The Spiced Maple Chicken n' Waffles was delicious and their spiced maple syrup was heavenly and even came with "bubble waffle" which is a familiar waffle I've had in Chinese bakeries that we call "don jai" (mini eggs) in Cantonese. I love their variety of flavors; Ube, egg waffle, philly adobo, with American brunch classics with tater tots and thick maple bacon. I listed the dishes in order of my favorite, so I loved the chicken n waffles the best, and the philly adobo the least. Regardless, this place will make you happy and blissful (with or without the added hemp extract). They even have a gigantic photobooth mirror where you can tack your on the wall and bring a copy home as a souvenir. It's just as clever as their address as 420 W Belmont. I will be back! read more

I visited this location with my family on August 10th of this year. We decided to come here for a weekend of fun with our kids. The pictures online looked appealing. We drove all the way from Milwaukee. We drove around for an half hour for parking. We get inside and it was lovely as far as the decor etc. We are seated and begin to look at the menu from our phones (they have a QR code where you order everything yourself at the table from your phone) We order our food and drinks. Drinks come out first ofc and this is where the discrepancy came into play. They bring out our kids drinks (they were small pre made an in plastic round bottles) and the drink I ordered. I ordered a drink called the purple haze specially because of how the drink was advertised online. Pretty cup with logo (I'm a stickler for those kinds of things lol) he bring the purple Haze drink out in a regular cup and I kinda asked if I could have the cup that was advertised online, he said they only have a total of 4 of the cups. Which wasn't such a huge deal to me but what began a problem was when the waiter proceeded to set my kids drink on the table but instead of setting them on the table he dropped them. He did not pick them up either which is how I know he was annoyed by me asking for the cup that was advertised online and shook his head in annoyance as he walked off. We kept cool because like I said we were there with our children. When he came back to the table he was very dismissive as if he didn't do anything wrong. Brought the alcohol drinks to the table (those weren't how they were advertised online as well. No butterflies or flowers in them) we asked for the manager and he took the alcohol drinks back. The "manager" came over and also very dismissive. We just decided it was a best to leave. My kids were crying. And before anyone says it's just a cup what's the big deal. It was how the waiter handled the situation and why advertise food or drinks online one way and Serve it another way? Decorations were perfect. Service was horrible. read more

This place definitely feels like a magical garden and I loved it. I loved the concept of ordering through our phones and not having to wait for a waiter. I loved that they had a photo booth area where you can take countless photos that get printed and you can stick them on the wall with a message. The concept was amazing. I got the purple haze drink which (I'm not a coffee drinker) but this iced coffee was excellent. I ordered the phatty which was a burrito stuffed with potatoes, rice, beans, eggs and bacon. My boyfriend got the spicy chicken and waffles dish. The presentation of the food and the ambiance was a whole mood. The only downside was finding parking. Allow a good 10-15 mins before your reservation time to find street parking. read more

The price is right and the food is great! I live 1 mile away and come here often. You can order on your phone by scanning a QR code which facilitates the ordering process. Every single time is great! Cons: The place is not too big so it can get loud. You can't always choose your table because they want to maximize their capacity (which I can understand). Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast made with real food at affordable prices. read more

Totally forgot to take pictures the food was so good! My gf and I ordered the Wake n' Bacon Burger and the Adobo Philly. We were going to take the food home with us but they had an empty high top along the window while your walking out so we put our food down and I finished my burger in record speed and had a 1/4 of my girlfriends Philly. Some unbelievably tasty sandwiches to say the least. The tots were not the best and we had about 1 or 2 and threw them out but the sandwiches themselves made up for it which is why they're still getting 5 stars. We shall return.
