Visited Allez due to the great things we've heard about their breakfast sandwiches! The sandwiches were very tasty. We ordered the original as well as the potato focaccia sandwich. Both were great picks and were flavorful in their own unique way! Also ordered a matcha latte which was refreshing!
Very delicious breakfast at Allez Cafe. Breakfast sandwich was great, enjoyed every bite! Almond praline croissant was off the charts, and picture perfect! Black sesame seasonal latte was also a hit. On the pricier side, $34 for one pastry, sandwich, and coffee. Workers were not very extremely friendly. Smaller space with about 8 tables. Line out the door Sunday around 11. Pastries will sell out!
I ordered online and it was super easy. The food was ready when I got there and the staff were extremely kind. The place is a cute cafe with a good amount of seating. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was amazing. It was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Allez is a must try!

The baked goods and coffee were solid, but this breakfast sandwich was the best I have ever had. Sweet, salty, spicy with a variety of textures, it was incredible. However, the service was so rude, snappy, and unpleasant. They were so curt and unhelpful for no reason and although the sandwich was amazing, the experience was offset by their attitude.
Great place to grab your morning coffee and quick delicious bite. The fried chicken sandwich is a top 5 for me in the Chicago, the pastries are delicious and they have a limited and well balanced menu (no GF options that I came across). Service is good and ambiance is cozy cafe. Check it out if you are in Bucktown!!!
Allez makes a fantastic lattes! You can really taste the quality of the beans because the espresso comes through rich and smooth even in a milk-heavy drink. I've been twice now and enjoyed it both times. Food-wise, I tried both the breakfast sando and the fried chicken sando. The fried chicken was my favorite, it was crispy, flavorful, and super tasty. The only thing is the coleslaw-to-bun ratio feels a little off, so it gets messy fast. Still worth it though. The breakfast sando has great flavors too, the eggs were thick and silky, and the combo of Gouda and jam worked perfectly together. The hash brown, unfortunately was way too greasy for me. It kind of overpowered everything else and made the sandwich feel heavy. If you're sensitive to oily food, I'd definitely stick with the fried chicken instead.
While trying to find the restaurant I actually missed it , besides the color , it's not the easily noticed storefront , upon entering you enter a dim lit room with assorted chairs and small tables , truthfully not much to it , but wow , don't judge a book by its cover former Alinea and Blackbird cook Jason Melamed is the founder of. Noted as rival to Kasama , the breakfast Sandwich stands out as one of the best in the city , Egg Patty, Gouda Cheese, House-made Hashbrown, Thick Cut Bacon, Onion Aioli & Jalapeño Jam served on a Martin's Potato Roll, unbelievable ! They also do specialty coffees so I opted for the creation , TURKISH MATCHA: which includes Baklava Syrup, Pistachio Milk , walnut bitters :and ORANGE BLOSSOM . amazing , , so I advise a visit , you won't be disappointed , unless you go after 2 pm , because they close early
Very yummy breakfast sandwich, loved the crispy hashbrown and fluffy egg soufflé and the jalapeño jam worked very nicely. Loved their seasonal pandan vanilla malt cold foam latte that one time. Just had a pumpkin spice riff that was quite good too. Excited to go back, yummy flavor options. Not a ton of seating but cozy inside.
We ordered the breakfast sandwich to go! The sandwich is flavorful and the jam gives it a great twist! I do wish the hash brown was crispier, but maybe I need to eat it right away vs takeout and then review the sandwich again. A lot of comparisons to kasama in the reviews. While it's not as good as kasama it's different in flavors and I'd definitely want to eat it again.
Really enjoyed the pistachio milk + slight citrus taste in the Turkish matcha! I think it lost the actual matcha flavor but it was still really good drink. The breakfast sandwich had a good balance of sweet w the jalapeño jam + savory w the hashbrown. Egg was also fluffy. Overall really great
The breakfast sando hit all the notes it was tangy from the aoli, sweet and spicy from the jam, crunchy with good saltiness from the hash brown and soft and delicate bun and egg all coming beautifully together. Service was great, quick and kind. There isn't a very large are to sit and eat and when we went it was busy, so most likely a pick up and go spot during the more popular breakfast/brunch hours. It is a simple and put together ambiance, playing good tunes that's not too loud. They also have a variety of beans and teas you can buy as well that looked very intriguing!

As a student, finding a good study spot is always high on my to-do list, and I feel like Allez Cafe checked almost all my boxes. From the yummy sando to the chill, vibey music, it's honestly such a great place to study. The music wasn't too loud (which is a must), there was a decent amount of seating, and they had a really nice balance of drinks and food options. The space is a little small, though, so I'd recommend getting there early if you want to snag a wall seat with outlet access. The staff was also super kind and helpful with the menu while I was being completely indecisive lol. Can't wait to go back! read more

Came here on a Sunday morning and it was quite busy, but not as busy as you'd expect. I waited in line for about 5 minutes before I was able to put my order in. The staff was super friendly and smiled a lot, which I thought was really nice because I could tell they were slammed with all the customers. Service: 9/10. The ambiance was very cute and had lots of seating. It seemed like the seating was constantly rotating with most people picking up their food to go. You saw some people chatting and catching up with friends, others completing work. Seemed like there was a good amount of outlets for those that needed to charge their laptops while working. Ambiance: 7/10. I ended up ordering the Breakfast Sando with the St. Patty's special latte-- which was a latte with coconut flavors. St. Patty's Latte: It was heavy on the espresso flavor and subtle on the sweetness/ creaminess of the coconut flavored milk cap, which I really liked! It immediately woke me up too which was nice! If you love bittersweet flavors, this is for you! 7/10. **Had a sip of the Persimmon Latte so I will include a quick note about it, and it was pretty good and really sweet. Leaned more heavy on the milk/sweeteners than the coffee. It was nicely balanced and you could really taste the Dulce de Leche. If you're not a sweets person though, it may not be for you. Based on my one sip, 8/10. Breakfast Sando: It was super good. I loved the soft pillowy texture of the egg. The flavor of the jalapeno jam leaned more sweet with a subtle spice aftertaste. The hashbrown was crunchy and a little salty. The bacon was sweet and savory. I liked the sandwich a lot, but it leaned more sweet overall and I prefer more savory/spicy flavors for breakfast sandwiches! 8/10. Overall: I really liked it this place! Little coffee shop kind of out of the way but very neat. Delicious breakfast sandwich. It has jalapeño jam and aioli. A thick fried hashbrown. Really good. Also got the mint mocha which was great. read more

We ordered the breakfast sandwich to go! The sandwich is flavorful and the jam gives it a great twist! Wow! This place is busy and for good reason. The sandwiches and baked goods are delicious! The breakfast sandwich had more of a kick from the jalapeño jam than I was expecting but so good; I really enjoyed the crispy hashbrown and steamed egg and the shape of them was cool. The chicken sandwich and giant cookie are also great. I wasn't as impressed with the drinks (we got the Turkish matcha and banana cream top), but not bad or anything. Everyone who worked there was friendly and the vibes were good because everyone was enjoying their meals! read more
Cute shop, chill vibes, great coffee and food. We particularly like how efficient and organized the baristas and kitchen work together to serve drinks quickly, quietly and professionally. Truly enjoyed everything we tried - Kenya AA pourover, SOE latte (do the upgrade with you love coffee) and iced coffee w pandan cream top for drinks and breakfast sandwich, ube basque cheesecake and matcha cream puff for food. Been holding back on this review for a while since the drinks in my opinion were just not my cup of coffee or tea depending which I got. But finally a got a drink that I really enjoy and it was a special 'Turkish matcha'. Finally got a drink that was enjoyable all others were meh & I have tried a variety. Just solely on the breakfast sandwich is what won my heart for the high stars! So good it's been my third time back already & so lucky I live 5 min away because on the weekend be prepare for a line. Pro hack is to order online although you won't be able to see their pastries as it appears to change pretty often. But so far on pastry 10/10 so so good. If you get the choux prepare to consume immediately because I waited to long and then it got soggy but this was like 2hrs+ I member I had gotten it though, busy toddler mom. Staff isn't always the warmest I'll be honest. As I don't always feel welcome when I do pick ups or to go orders maybe just the gen difference but in my times I'm used to a nice hello would be suffice. read more

Came in on a Saturday morning right when they opened - I've seen long lines outside of this place in the past but it was cold out so only a few people were at the door. We ordered 2 breakfast sandos, a Turkish coffee, cream top americano, pistachio croissant & miso chocolate chip cookie. It was expensive so be prepared. We spent $60-70. Prob could have split the sando and not left so full. The inside is cute and probably has seating for ~15 or so people. Loved the sweet and savory of the breakfast sando. The hash brown was really crispy on the edges but got soggy in the middle. The aioli was delicious and enjoyed the texture of the egg. The Turkish coffee was also delicious and had really unique flavor to it, would definitely recommend! Along with the pistachio croissant. Miso chocolate chip cookie just tasted like a brown butter chocolate chip cookie I wasn't getting any miso in it. The major downside was the service, several customers were asking questions or interacting with the staff and they were all giving vague / dry responses. Don't think I'll come back but worth a one time visit! read more
This place was packed when I came here around 11am on a Sunday with some friends. I love how their menu is super simple with basically 2 items on the menu which were the fried chicken sandwich or the breakfast sando. The breakfast sando was very oily, but the hash brown was super crispy along with the jam that gave it a bit of a kick every time I took a bite of the sandwich. I ordered the rotating cream top which was pandan and enjoyed it a lot. They had some small tables and one long table in the cafe. Line/Service was super quick. The sandwich is a bit pricy in my honest opinion, but I guess it is what it is based on the location and having 2 items on the menu. The egg was super silky and fluffy that even my friend's 9 month old enjoyed it a lot! read more

NO wifi and NO heat - this cafe does not want you to linger around. I came in on a super cold day and it felt like they didn't turn on the heat! I ordered the cajeta latte which was made with goat milk caramel. It tasted exactly how it sounds. I enjoyed it but be warned it does have a strong goat flavor and smell. Other than pastries, they had 2 food items in the menu- a breakfast sando and a chicken sando. I ordered the breakfast sando which had a fluffy egg, hashbrown, bacon, and jalapeños. It was definitely worth the hype. It was salty, soft, crispy, and had just the slightest hint of heat from the jalapeño. It was delicious and definitely worth trying, but maybe take it to go so you don't freeze! Tip: there is free street parking. read more
Incredible breakfast sandwich - totally worth the hype! Egg was fluffy, hashbrown was crisp, bacon was crunchy, all perfectly cooked and snicked between a soft potato roll smeared with their jalapeño jam - fantastic!! I loved the sweet spicyness that the jam added to the salty elements of the dish. I'm usually not a fan of bacon because it's usually too salty and overpowers the flavors of other elements, but it wasn't the case here. Everything was well balanced. I also ordered the pistachio orange basque cheesecake and it was deliciously creamy and not too sweet. I've never had the pistachio and organs flavor combination and thoroughly enjoyed it read more
Cute neighborhood cafe. Love the vibe here very communal feel. Service was fast as well for how much traffic comes through here Breakfast sandwich was great loved the flavors and presentation alike. Chicken sandwich wasn't as great but that just comes down to preference because I personally didn't like the style of pickles, they are the pickles that are half pickled half still cucumbers. But other than that the breading was crunchy and the sauce was flavorful. read more

So cool checking this spot out in the Bucktown area! The service was fairly fast, only waited ~10ish minutes for 2 drinks and their delicious breakfast Sando. Their pastries were delicious, we had their creamy pastry with strawberry filling inside. It was a sweet surprise filling and the texture of the puff was perfect. Their breakfast sando had a jalapeño jam which was packed with heat, if you're not used spicy. The overall sandwich was very good tasty! I ordered the rotating cream top coffee off their seasonal drink menu and the pandan cream was 10/10! I highly recommend trying before it's off the menu! read more

Delicious breakfast sandwich! Unlike some of the other similar breakfast sandwiches in the city, what makes this one standout is the aoli and jam! Overall I thought this was very flavorful but the jam was a little tart! The inside is pretty small so it is hard to find a table and might be best to grab it to go! They also have a lot of delicious pastries and a great coffee selection. read more

My hubby took me here for breakfast and oh my word, everything was delicious!! We got the Salted Miso Chocolate Chip Cookie, Almond Fig Tart, the Breakfast Sandwich, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and a Latte. The service was friendly and it was a packed house that morning. I must say, the food and pastries definitely were the highlight of this cafe. I still dream about the cookie, probably one of the best I've ever had! The beans they use for their espresso drinks is on the acidic side which I'm not a fan of, but that's just me. Ambiance was very retro and chic, it can get pretty loud so I wouldn't say it's an ideal for studying or doing work. But other than that, I would definitely come back for the food and pastries. This. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I had in a very long time, the pic does not do it justice.The little store was cute, the coffee excellent . It was very busy and they were fast and friendly. Sadly most of the pastries were already sold out- I'm guessing for good reason. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely give it a go!! read more
Holy moly this is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. My tummy is rumbling just typing this. The herb mayo was delicious and I love how they added a hashbrown inside to give it that crunch factor. I also recommend their iced matcha latte with cream top! They use ceremonial matcha and hand whisk it. The green color was vibrant so you know its good! I went on a weekday (thursday) and it was still a little bit busy. The space is very small so I honestly dont recommend studying here. This is more of a quick eats kind of place. read more
Every now and again you come across a place that is extra special. I have been dreaming of Allez since I went. The interior, the workers, the food, the vibes. It is a shame Yelp limits you to five stars, because Allez deserves infinitely man. The warm, doughy apple cider doughnut was insane. A wonderful sweet treat to start the day. Coated in cinnamon and sugar I loved every bite. And, the chai latte was just as refreshing. Not too sweet with the subtle, warming spices of nutmeg, cinnamon, and cardamon Of course, the star is the breakfast sando. So complex, so delicious. I must admit, the sandwich has a lot going on, but the flavors are so rich and delicate. Truly a masterpiece. A bit of tang comes in from the onion-y sauce. And a bit of both sweet and spicy from the pepper jam. You get the rich. Fatty bacon to round it out. On top of that you mix the crispy potato with the soft, spongy egg. So many textures and flavors all competing for the top spot with each bite. My recommendation? Sit back, savor every bite, and once you take your last bite... order another. An absolutely insane experience. I loved the interior. Funky, eclectic, and perfectly designed. Allez is about as close to perfection as one can get. Can't wait to get back! read more
Allez Cafe is from Chef Jason Melamed, who has worked at both Alinea and Blackbird. This cafe is known for their super popular Breakfast Sandwich, and I had heard that there were some crazy lines on the weekends to get this! We came here about a quarter 'til, and we were glad to see we were the first ones - yay! A line did quickly form soon afterwards and there was a constant flow of patrons coming in. We ordered: +the Breakfast Sandwich - a Martin's potato roll with an egg patty, gouda cheese, housemade hashbrown, thick-cut bacon, onion aioli, and jalapeno jam +the Chicken Sandwich - a Martin's potato roll with hot maple fried chicken, slaw, pickles, and aioli; this was just okay; the chicken itself was very large and juicy, but the batter/skin could have been more crispier; I felt that there was some 5-spice type of seasoning going on, which I wasn't a fan of +a Miso Chocolate Chip Cookie - this was absolutely DELICIOUS - decadent, sweet, salty, chewy, and with a slight crisp +a Sweet Corn Doughnut - I had this one to go, as I couldn't pass up on trying it; it tasted more like an Asian-style donut pastry for its exterior; the filling could have been more pronounced with the sweet corn taste I also tasted their latte with almond milk; I just wished it came out piping hot/extra hot, though, as it was more lukewarm in temperature. Service was friendly, and there's a handful of seating inside. The cafe itself is cute and hipster-like.
