OMG the brunch food here is absolutely phenomenal!!! The waffles are Belgian style and also so amazing! I got the Turkey Florentine Benedict ($13.95). The turkey is not your deli turkey from a package, it was real shaved thick turkey breast. The eggs were perfectly poached, avocado was fresh and the Hollandaise was lemony and perfectly rich. Coffee ($3) was also surprisingly great, free refills too! The cheddar and leek waffle itself it came on is dense and doughy and flavorful and like nothing I ever had. Awesome find on a Kalahari trip! I was honestly enticed by the awesome looking waffles and Bloody Marys, so we decided to check it out! It had an indoor and outdoor area - we had a large party and sat outside. Service was quick and friendly. We had the bloody flight - original was great. The others were .. ok. Acquired taste I think. One of my kids had the Elvis, which was honestly quite good (waffle w peanut butter, banana, and bacon). I had the Cuban (on waffle!) and hubby had the chicken and waffles. Both of them were excellent! I only wish there was gravy for the chicken and waffles as I'm a softie for a good gravy pairing. Waffles here are Liege waffles made of dough not batter and they include tiny cube of sugar to make them sweet. Additionally they offer chive and garlic waffles if you're wanting something savory. When it comes to drinks there are some unique offerings including fresh squeezed orange juice and carnival lemonade (you literally watch them make it in front of you). The milk comes from Hartzler Dairy in Wooster served in nostalgic class bottles. They also offer several beers, wines, and other spirits. Whether you are getting a basic waffle, eggs Benedict, the monte crisco, or the Elvis, you'll be satisfied. Just be prepared to wait a bit as the service is a bit slow. We popped in here on a Sunday morning and were able to get a seat immediately. Our server was wonderful and everything was prompt. We had planned to order their traditional Benny but the waitress shared they had a sausage gravy Benny special. My husband and I both ordered that and were kinda disappointed. What we thought was an entirely savory dish, was not. Their sausage gravy is almost unbearably sweet...maybe there's maple syrup or something in it. So sometimes when you try a new place you kinda have a blame on yourself of why didn't I venture there sooner? Yeahhhh that was totally one of those with this right here! This spot is the front shop in the awesome marketplace that's downtown basically walking distance to anything that's in the area. Of the many different options I totally went with a garlic waffle, with cheddar cheese, pickles, bacon, and eggs it was a scrumptious mix of everything that was just whats good as each element was perfect in it's own way. I've had waffle sandwiches at a good amount of places but they didn't do it right the waffle wasn't the right consistency but that is not the case here at all as my waffle was prefect it held up the sandwich and was full of flavor just the way it should be! Overall this is an awesome little spot that's close to home so you know I'll be back here again at some point this time I'll make up a new waffle concoction because there's a ton of yummy possibilities with all the goodies that they have. read more

The food was all okay...we weren't blown away. I felt like the waffle in the strawberry waffles tasted oniony like it was made in the same waffle iron as a savory waffle. Very cute place in an old renovated building. The decor was a cute miss match of table and chairs. The menu had a lot of delicious offerings. We ordered our kids the strawberry waffle and whip. It was delicious with homemade whip on top, the only thing to make it better would have been fresh strawberries. I ordered the egg plate scrambled with sausage and potatoes. Now some less positive things: My English muffin wasn't tosated as much as warmed through. Zero crunch. My scrambled eggs were more like a plain omlette. One giant slab of egg. The new dining room layout is less pleasing on the inside, less welcoming. I recognize that they needed to add streamlining to the process of serving. It feels. clinical. Eat outside if possible. What a great find! The waffles were phenomenal, and the option of sweet vs savory made for a great variety of breakfast options. Great atmosphere and loved how synced the staff was in taking care of the customer. It was a team effort and that made for a wonderful dining experience. I loved everything about this place. It's a cute little vendor inside the marketplace, which has tons of Sandusky history and other vendors to look at while you wait for your table. They were super busy, which I consider a good thing, and the service was super speedy too!
