My favorite dining experience in Kauai thus far. I have tried many food trucks (in and out of Kauai) but this one is truly a special island experience. My family and I came for a later lunch. There was 0 line or crowd but I can imagine it gets pretty busy during lunchtime. The ladies taking our order and serving us were hilarious. Do you have to be a comedian to work at this food truck? Aside from the charming servers and great people (and dog!) watching, the limeade of the day was incredible. It was dragonfruit and AMAZING. Beautiful color and delightfully refreshing. What makes this experience 5 stars was the incredible, crave for a lifetime, unforgettable Sweet & Spicy Coconut Shrimp. The coconut reduction sauce wasn't too creamy or too lite. It was JUST right. I got it with a side of macaroni salad which was yumtastic. I will be going again tomorrow to try more options. read more

Food Poisoning. Unfortunately I have to give this food truck 2 stars because I ate bad shrimp that led to food poisoning. I was enjoying my food and about an hour after I started having an upset stomach that led to throwing up. Due to this, I personally will not be returning to this food truck. The Food is Absolutely Delicious !!! I ordered the garlic shrimp and rice which is served with a side so I chose macaroni salad. The taste is authentic, seasoned to perfection, just the right dose of garlic and extremely messy just the way I like it!!!! The Vibes - combined with locals and other tourist the vibes are great! A lot of energy , people chatting and lots of laughs. There is multiple food trucks and picnic tables laid out for dining very energetic!!! The service - Great service and the timing is wonderful. A little disappointed in the Kalua pork after all the good reviews. The ratio of pork to cabbage was off: way too much cabbage & it was kind of soupy on the bottom. The Katsu chicken with the brown gravy was good; just be aware that brown gravy has a nice kick of wasabi which my son loved, but not everyone would appreciate. The macaroni salad was tasty, but had a touch too much mayo. Dragon fruit with lime drink was tart & refreshing on a hot day. Still the food was pretty good, no tables really to sit inside but plenty of picnic tables in the parking lot area and off the side of the restaurant. Stopped by for lunch one afternoon while visiting Hanalei. There were several food trucks to choose from and so I decided to go with a seafood option. Amazing. You HAVE to get the garlic shrimp. Literally the best shrimp I've ever tasted. And I've eaten A LOT of shrimp. It's served in a garlic lemon butter sauce, which sounds pretty basic but theirs has SO MUCH flavor it's incredible. In the picture I think the other plate was their Hawaiian Plate that my brother got (kalua pork, ahi poke, lomi lomi salmon & rice). I didn't try it because I didn't want anyone to ask if they could try my shrimp- I wanted it all. 100% recommend. I'll definitely be back when I visit Kauai again. read more

I still daydream about the sauce on their Kauai Garlic Shrimp! It's finger-lickin' good, but be sure to get a scoop of rice or two to soak up any leftover juices. The shrimp are the biggest I've ever seen from a food truck, and peeling them drips extra juices onto your plate which adds an extra dimension to the leftover sauce. Cash only! I had Trucking Delicious on my food list, but didn't realize they didn't accept credit cards. They do accept Venmo, and you can ask for their user ID from any of their workers. Their food is delicious. We had trouble finding some good breakfast places to eat. Yelp didn't steer us wrong on this one. The Churro French bread was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I cannot even begin to describe how awesome this place is. everything on the menu is mouthwatering delish. but given that it's Kauai, my wife and i opted to go for their Kauai garlic shrimp and their fish special (macnut mahi). we were blown away at how delish the food was. the pictures we took don't do it justice at how good it was. I'll be honest, it's not cheap. our 2 dishes came up about $36 bucks. but it was by far the best meal we had in our entire stay on the island. it was so good that we had it for 3 out of our 7 day trip there. tips: they open at 11:30'ish. the "ish" isn't an exaggeration; you gotta be patient if they miss the 11:30 time. also get there early! food is limited and the lines get long quick!! read more

So happy that I got to try their shrimp! My husband and I had poke bowl and sushi roll before we came here, so we only got one plate, garlic shrimp! It comes with rice, one side of your choice, and 6 jumbo shrimps. Garlic shrimps were great. Kauai is filled with many food trucks and we spent the better part of our trip exploring the trucks on the North Shore. I can conclude confidentially that Trucking Delicious is the real deal. Their was a huge line when we got there mid day but the food actually came out pretty quick. We ended up getting the garlic shrimp and the Hawaiian pork plate which included lau lau pork and poke. The shrimp were amazing! They gave us six shrimp which were all very big and succulent. The sauce was fire, a mix of butter, garlic, and citrus which really shocked the palette. The pork plate was good but the included ahi poke was actually better! In terms of value, we were extremely full by the end, all for $35 which was a steal! I'd highly recommend anyone in the North Shore to drop by. It was arguably the most memorable we had on the North side of the island. read more

This place is bomb, and the people that own the truck are so friendly and kind - you can tell they truly love creating delicious food items and sharing them! We tried a variety of menu items at not one visit, but over two. That's right, the first visit was so good, we had to return for more. The kimchee fried chicken was seriously some of the best chicken I have had EVER. There is nothing like it - it is special that they don't have every day, so if it's on the menu order it immediately for the love of Kamehameha. Prices for what you get, are more than fair - and I love all the side options! With each plate you get a scoop of rice and a choice of mac salad, seaweed salad, kimchee, cole slaw, or more rice if you just want allllll the carbs. Last but not least, I have to share that this food truck was SO good it forced me to come out of review writing retirement just so I could give them an enthusiastic 5++ stars. Just saying. Honestly the best garlic shrimp I have ever had. I've had several garlic shrimp places on Oahu, I've had some on Maui. Im a harsh critic on shrimp. This is my favorite. I confess though, Kailua pork is not my favorite, the poke that came with it on the side was good as well as the salmon lomi lomi. We came here twice in a couple of days, because it's good. Day one: My kid was hungry and has allergies not one of the easiest things to do when on travel. I explained to the person taking the order and said my son only wanted rice and kalua pork. She took a mental note on the allergies and said yep. We can do that. By the way the Kalua pork was amazingly good. Day two: we went for the chicken shoyu. It tasted like chicken adobe with hints of ginger. Really good chicken! We ordered our food and were asked to wait outside, so we took a seat at one of the picnic tables. When the food was ready, the staff just dropped it on our table without saying a word and walked off. The Lili Cristo tasted like funnel cake, so much that it overpowers the ham, turkey, and cheese filing inside. It's also deep fried in a way that the dough contains pockets of oil. Nothing beats taking a bite of your food and having a mouthful of oil to start your morning! The Kalua burrito is mediocre but way better than the Lili Cristo.
