Store manager and all pharmacy staff has changed. This store went from a 10 to ZERO. Not only will I never get my vaccinations here any longer I am moving ALL my prescriptions to another location. Staff won't answer the phone after 2 hours being put on hold after they pick up, to the pharmacist saying she would talk to me about my prescription as soon as she got off the phone. It pains me to write this review because the staff is so friendly and consistently nice BUT the pharmacy is understaffed and needs more people in order to handle both the inside counter and the drive through window. For regular purchases of non pharmacy items it is possible to get in and out pretty quick. The pharmacy is the problem. I've been coming here for years because it's convenient for both my morning and evening commute. The pharmacy is always painfully slow and when you are sick and miserable the slow service is the last thing I need. My partner is a physician and called in a prescription for Tamiflu. He tried to locate a dedicated provider line for physicians to call in prescriptions. Apparently a dedicated line is not available and it took multiple attempts to reach a human in the pharmacy. The pharmacist and technician are super nice BUT overall it took two days and four physical visits to this place to finally get the prescription. On visit three a car was sitting at the drivel through wind with the engine turned off. I sat for 20 minutes behind them before getting out of the car to ask them what was going on. They informed me that they were tired of making multiple attempts to fill their prescriptions and were just going to wait at the window.... OMG so then I park my car and go inside to find a line of unhappy people at the pharmacy. At this point I had physically spent over four hours total with visits one through three trying to get the prescription filled. I gave up and left. The next day they start texting me and emailing me again to come pick up my prescription. Again I drive to find another ridiculous line. The worst part is that Tamiflu is a prepackaged item from the manufacturer and is already in a sealed box like any over the counter medication. It doesn't need to be compounded by a pharmacy. They just need to pull it off the shelf and hand it over so you can pay. Even though the staff is nice I have now decided that I hate this place and will pay more to have prescriptions filled elsewhere. Sorry Walgreens!!! read more

I never thought I'd rate a Walgreens, but these guys deserve some good attention. I went in to sold a first-aid problem, and yeah, sure discovered that this Walgreens is much like any other location in our fair city. BUT, I was really impressed by the staff behind the counter. One lady was so cheerful, I was tempted to ask what she was on. She made it a point to greet every single person who came into the store, and bid them farewell upon their departure. Whoever the guy is that typically runs the FedEx desk....I think he is the assistant manager?.... I can only Imagine his coworkers all roll their eyes at his prissy behavior. Bothering to do anything less than point a customer in any one direction or using his voice to ask or call for others do a job that he could easily just handle must be a truly excruciating trial and unimaginable burden. Apparently every day is hard times for this guy. I feel bad for his coworkers. I wouldn't deal with him except that this location is the closest FedEx delivery to me and well, at this point, his attitude problem has become a household joke. Frankly my dear they just don't give a damn. Understaffed, Attitude, Slow and Uninterested. Why does this location have the right to hang the Walgreens Sign given my past positive experiences with other location in Georgia and Florida? I am speaking of the Pharmacy department. Not since a fast food place in the hood have I had such poor, uninspired, lackluster, couldn't give a damn service. Get a txt saying my scrip is ready call to confirm cause I have been burned before and ......No answer. When I finally got to speak with someone I was told "our phones were down" the order wasn't ready. Calling to ask the pharmacist a question is like pulling teeth. Note to the Regional Manager at Walgreens........ .......Call this place on your own try to get even a low level of service and make note of the tone, willingness to be helpful and the general attitude of whoever you get IF you can get anyone at all. read more

I decided to write a review today because the cashier Quani was extremely kind and helpful. She made sure the photos I ordered were what I wanted and encouraged me to look at them before purchasing to make sure I was satisfied. I was, and I commend her on her effort to make sure the customer was taken care of. She asked me about my day and actually listened wen I told her it was going good. Walgreens, I want to like you more: you're super close to my house, you're usually cheaper than CVS for the same stuff, but alas, I can't. And it's your pharmacy's fault. It all started several months back, I'd gone to my dermatologist for a check up and gotten a prescription refill while I was there. They sent it in and I got a call from you saying the prescription wasn't ready yet. Ok, no problem. A couple weeks later, I wondered about the prescription, and went in on a Saturday to see if it was available for pick up. After waiting fifteen minutes at what looked like a totally empty pharmacy department, I asked another employee if anyone was there - she found a pharmacist in the back, who ticked away on the computer before telling me the prescription was still on back order. Fine. I repeated this process two more times over the course of the next six weeks, only to get the same response - no medicine yet. Finally,finally, last week, I was back at my derm's office for an unrelated reason and I mentioned I still hadn't been able to get my prescription filled. The nurse checked and said the manufacturer's rep had been in just last week and she'd heard some Walgreens were getting the medicine. As I left I called Walgreen's again, after some fiddling on the computer the pharmacist determined yes, they did have my prescription, and I could come by and pick it up. Only because I called, yet again, did I finally get my prescription. If I hadn't called, I highly doubt the automatic service telling you your prescription is ready would have ever called me. Hence the three star rating. I got my prescription - eventually, but it wasn't because of Walgreen's stellar service, that's for sure. read more

This is the Walgreens closest to my house. It's got all the necessities if you're looking to grab something quick. I mostly go for medicine. I recently had a tough time locating Vick's VaporRub, but I'm a little challenged so that's to be expected. This Walgreens opened recently at the intersection of Briarcliff and N Druid Hills Road. You would think that because of it's location, it would be difficult to get in and out of but, it's actually the opposite. It may be trivial to some but, the ease of access in and out of the parking lot here is a major bonus. With all the congestion from Chick-Fil-A, the Panera Shopping Center and highway traffic, this is a great location. Being that it's new, it's spotless inside. I stopped by to visit the pharmacy because my allergies were acting up. One of the employees who was stocking the shelves was really nice. We talked about the high price of allergy medicine across the board. We both appreciated the Walgreens brand that was a few dollars cheaper. (I still opted for Clairitin). When checking out, the pharmacist was very nice in explaining the process for buying Claritin D (they keep it behind the counter and store your information because people use it to make Meth). She was generally a very friendly person. I was pleasantly surprised at how kind the employees are. I will definitely be transferring my prescriptions to this location. read more

Disappointed in customer service/policy for the workers. Just go across the street to Target. I went in to buy makeup (easy). Then I realized I had the wrong shade, so I went in to exchange the shade (unopened). I went to the cashier and asked if I could exchange the products. She says just swap them and doesn't ring up the products. I figured, they must have the same barcode and walked out. I later decided to just return the products (still unopened and found a better price), and was told that the barcodes didn't match the receipt. I then explained what the previous cashier did for the exchange. The supervisor said that the cashier did it wrong previously and that someone had just gotten in trouble for refunding in a similar situation, so she couldn't. Knowing that a person who you supervise messed up and that this isn't the first problem of this kind, the supervisors should have been able to right the situation (return my products and help the other cashier(s) know what to do better). Disappointed and will go elsewhere if I can help it. read more

If I could give a zero rating I would! Order a picture for my sister in laws birthday and when I went to pick it up it wasn't ready. Then they tell me that they don't have the frame I ordered. When I asked why no one called me the manager gave me a blank stare and didn't answer. The pharmacist, Talethia (spelling?), is rude, unknowledgeable, combative, and a liar. I had to leave and call another Walgreens to get answers and a suggestion how to resolve the use of a drug manufacturer co-pay card. The other pharmacist at another location suggested I call my HMO and ask for an over-ride in their system which would allow me continue using the co-pay card at Walgreens. I knew the co-pay card's rules and requirements and knew I was eligible to continue using it. Miss Talethia's, (spelling?) response was "read the co-pay card" "that was for a first use only". NOT TRUE and it's been resolved thanks to a knowledgeable and helpful pharmacist at another location. read more

This location is awesome!! Who would think that a Walgreens would give you the same thrill that Walmart or Target (Tar-jay, as I like to call it) does, granted on a smaller scale. I come in here all the time and find items I never thought they would sell. I come in for one thing, and end up with a basket full of stuff (half of which I don't think I really need, SMH!!!). The pharmacy is always busy, and the people working back there are always working hard, yet always make time to assist me. I got a flu shot when it was busy, and was still in and out in no time (I didn't even feel any pain!! I always feel that big pinch when I get a shot, but I was amazed that it was over when it was!!).The people here are always friendly and helpful, and the store is always clean. Asked the pharmacist if they had a product for oral thrush (basically a mouth yeast infection) for my boyfriend since he's been taking a antibiotics. Awful. Agree with every other post. Staff is a bunch of incompetent and rude imbeciles. Had an Asian female manager following me around the store one night as if I'm a thief (for the record I'm a clean cut professional in my thirties who lives near the store and shops there often). Poor attitudes from the very slow cashiers can be expected every time. One time I purchased coffee creamer, got home and realized the seal was broken so I immediately ran back down and showed it to the same cashier who checked me out five minutes prior and i asked him to exchange ...believe it or not he wanted to see my receipt (which he had not given me when I purchased) ...all for a $3 container of creamer for which they inconvenienced me so badly having to make two trips. Unbelievable. And what's with keeping the restroom under lock and key?! Is this alcatraz ?!..no concept of customer service whatsoever. read more

I have never had such terrible experiences at a Walgreens before! Good lord! The pharmacy staff is unable to comprehend verbal instructions, lacks attention to detail, is incapable of logical thinking, and is just generally incompetent. I'm honestly surprised that no one has had major complications from this pharmacy staff screwing up yet. Corporate Walgreens should shut this place down, it's a disgrace to the Walgreens name. Last time I was in, I had to explain my situation to the tech FOUR TIMES. It wasn't really that complicated; I'd had a brief period where my insurance wasn't working, so I'd done a partial fill on two prescriptions (it was only supposed to be one, but they screwed that up too). Once I got new insurance, I wanted to fill the remainder of those two scripts. She absolutely could not wrap her head around this. At one point, she told me that since it had been more than six days since I did the partial fill, she couldn't give me the remainder, which was 100% wrong. The terrible person in me hopes that one day, she has a serious illness and requires a medication to function normally, and someone pulls this crap on her. Anyway, she finally managed to put the fill order in, and guess what? When I came to pick up my medication, she had done it wrong and I only received four pills instead of the 25 I should have. Oh, and as other commenters have noted, they don't answer the phone. UGH. read more

Prescriptions have to be called in multiple times, they don't understand how to input insurance information properly resulting in overcharges, and they never, ever offer an apology for their constantly causing inconvenience. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY THEY CAN AND WILL CHEAT YOU!!! I am currently dealing with a nightmare situation. The pharmacist shorted me 40 pills, giving me only 50 pills when my prescription was for 90. I didn't notice it at the time, since I didn't actually run out of the medication until four days after I got the prescription filled, and it was only then that I noticed I had been given substantially less medication than usual. I counted out 50 pills, 40 short of the 90 the prescription was for. Since the prescription was labelled for ninety and the pharmacist had initialed it, and also because this particular prescription is a controlled substance, I don't know if I'm going to be able to get them to give me the remaining pills. I've called them five times today, I've been on hold for a total of close to an hour during those phone calls, and I can't get any straight answers. Apparently they do have thirty of the pills accounted for in their inventory, but if they already knew they had shorted me of at least thirty pills, why didn't they bother to call me? And why are they claiming they know nothing about the other ten? (It's not a cheap medication, either--it's $1.50 per pill.) They charged the full amount to my insurance, too--$134.99. And since I have an HRA account, that is directly coming out of my pocket. Crooked, rude, incompetent, and shameless. I swear as long as I live I will never use Walgreeens again. read more
