This location is kept up with all merchandise and stocked up. What usually needs restocking on a daily basis are food items and beauty products. Theres a drive thru pharmacy The store itself could be a little cleaner. Sometimes homeless people chill behind the Walgreens or right next to the church next door. I usually walk here and have never had a problem. Parking is plentiful and there is a private lot. It is conveniently located in the corner of Mason ave and Sherman way in the city of Winnetka. The reason why i gave 3 stars is because there is no interaction from staff. This will most def make the store instantly better. read more

I go here for Redbox/movie night. I like that they have the machine inside. Also, can't go wrong with their cheap candy. I stock up on the candy boxes that are 3/$3. Those are like $5 each at the theatre so it's good to sneak em in for a cheap candy snack. Also, amazingly there's no hobos hanging out here so I feel slightly safer coming here with my kid. Literally in tears writing this review after a horrible interaction with the pharmacist working 6/25/22 at 11:30am. I had a prescription sent in by my telehealth provider yesterday, and spoke with the pharmacist at that time who told me my script would be ready by 4pm. I didn't make it in until the next morning (today). I pay for this medication out of pocket because it's more convenient for me to do so, even though I have an insurance provider on file. The pharmacist started questioning me why I don't get my prescription from insurance provider (none of her business) and really giving me a hard time. She made me feel as if I was doing something wrong by daring to have my prescription filled AT A PHARMACY. She kept saying "I told them (telehealth company) I wouldn't fill their prescriptions". Okay lady, well how would I know that and why would they send my script to you if that was Walgreen's policy?? She really did her best to make me feel like the asshole. Also, she overcharged me and what is actually supposed to be a one month supply she put down as a two month supply and told me she won't fill my prescription again. read more

This pharmacy and the staff are really great people. They do everything they can with limited manpower and surges in prescription to get everyone's needs met. The lead pharmacist (I believe her name Sagher - I apologize if I spelled it wrong) is a gem. Very helpful, never makes you feel rushed, and answers all your questions. This review is on the pharmacy. It is the worst one around. If you need a prescription filled, especially automatically don't count on this pharmacy to have your medication in stock, nor to prepare it when needed. You will always have to call in multiple times to remind them. Even if your doctor calls in a prescription you will still need to call them and remind them. If you need to pick up in the drive-through, you will always wait, a very long time. If you go inside, you will be met with a long line and the pharmacist are always rude and short or flat out sometimes just ignore you when they see you are clearly waiting. this week alone was the final straw as I had my prescription called in on a Friday had to call in on Monday and Tuesday to remind them to fill it and waited on hold for 35 minutes only to be hung up on, and then told that they didn't have the prescription and that was a reason why and then magically the prescription was filled that day... They make excuses, and don't do their job unless reminded. If I could give this Walgreens, a zero stars I would and I will never be coming back here again. read more

Walgreens pharmacy staff (at Sherman Way and Mason) should be educated and sensitized to deal with persons. Sadly, yesterday 03/06/19, they treated me as if I was worthless and all of them gave me the message that I should not trust them. And of course, I will never trust them again. This is what happened: On Monday, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine. Atenolol 50 mgs, which I take twice a day. According to the bottle, they should have 60 pills. I trusted them, I paid, and I received my package with my medicine in a stapled bag and I went home. On Tuesday night I took the bottle out of the bag and I realized that there were very few pills, and Immediately I count them, and there were only 30 pills. Immediately I called the pharmacy. It was 8:10 p.m. I told her exactly what happened, and that I would go on Wednesday, after work, to pick up my other 30 pills that they did not give me when they should. I asked her to please leave a note there, so I could pick up my pills without any waits, and any inconvenience. She told me that she would do it, and I trusted her. Yesterday, after my work, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my 30 missing pills, and the man who answered me through the window asked me for the bottle, and that he definitely could not help me, if I did not have the bottle. That does not make any sense to me. They are the ones who did not put the amount of pills they should have put in the bottle. I did not make any mistakes, they were, because someone there should check that the recipes are correct in every way. I had to go back home to get the bottle with the pills and return to the pharmacy. Meanwhile, I called the pharmacy, to make sure they did not make me wait half an hour, but, finally, they gave me my pills, so, I was attended by a Latina woman, very insensitive and very rude, she interrupted me when I was telling her what was happening and he said "this is how things work here, we are going to count our pills, and if there is any pill left, then we will give them to you, but if nothing is left over, we will not give you anything" Finally, they gave me my 30 pills, but I had to go through all this abuse and disregard from them. I am so disappointed with the staff at this pharmacy, so annoyed at the way they treated me and how they handled their mistake, that I can not trust them anymore. read more

The pharmacist Rosalyn P. was incredibly rude. She greeted me and told me flatly that the pharmacy was to close in 15 minutes and asked me if I needed the medication tonight in a very annoyed voice. As an emergent problem, it was necessary to have the medications that night. She then reiterated that I had to wait "**right here**" because they were going to close "exactly at 9". (In a minute after I stood *right there*, she said "you're going to have to give me some time". Lady what do you want from me) Yes, I get that you want to leave exactly at 9. When she needed to verify my prescription (the doctor had made a mistake and written "duplicate" on the script - she came at me real hot over that one), she shortly asked me for the phone number to the urgent care (computer's right in front of her), but had already looked it up and had dialed by the time I had it for her. Because she has a computer. Right there. She was also rude to the ExEr when she called them to verify the prescription, giving them a literal countdown three times as to how many minutes they had left (8... 5... like a bomb was about to go off). By the way, she was finished with everything by 8:59. I get wanting to be out exactly on time. But two things. (1) you would have been out on time anyway without the complaining, and (2) Jesus Christ lady. I'm ridiculously sick and I am being nice to you despite it. Just return the courtesy. read more

I am a special ed teacher, regular customer, and a good person. I resent being treated as a criminal. I went to the Walgreen's on Tampa a few nights ago to fill my prescription. One that I have filled there several times. I am very displeased by the treatment I received. First, the cashier wrote down my birthday incorrectly. I told her 2-3, she wrote 3-2 and then scribbled it out causing me to worry that she had invalidated the prescription. Then it got worse. The pharmacist told me quote, "The date was altered." (It absolutely was NOT!) Then, she told me, "I have to get confirmation from the doctor before I can fill it." You mean the doctor that has given me the same Rx for 2 years? The same Rx that I have filled here many times? Really? Really?? She could not get a hold of the doctor and told me I had to wait. I had to wait 24 hours Naturally, the doctor confirmed what I TOLD HER IN THE FIRST PLACE! She chose to treat a regular customer like a criminal. Falsely accused me of FORGING A PERSCRIPTION, wasted my time, and DENIED ME legally prescribed medication for almost 24 hours. No apology, No attempt to make this right. I filed a complaint with corporate. She just wanted to use her power under the guise of "procedure." Insulting, demeaning, and a waste of everyone's time. Rock-bottom customer service. read more

the employees in the pharmacy are very rude. i came in to pick up a prescription however they did not have what i was prescribed. that was perfectly fine and understandable, what was not fine was the way they went about resolving the situation. i asked if other walgreens had the prescription available and the woman helping me said that she would check for me. she left me at the window for about ten minutes before asking if there was anything else i needed. ultimately she ended up telling me i need to call around myself. i spoke to my md and he was looking to prescribe something else so i went inside the store to ask them what similar options they have. they were rude and very passive and again just shut me down for my initial prescription. i am not knowledgeable as to what medication could help me so i was hoping their pharmacist would have insight or at least pretend to care about my situation. i ended up reaching out to the location on topanga and saticoy and they were much more helpful. read more

I've been going to this Walgreens for over 5 years, and every time I go it's a pleasant experience. The Pharmacy staff is knowledgeable, and I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes in line. They also have a drive-thru for the pharmacy which I find to be VERY convenient, especially when I'm in a hurry. The Cosmetics department is usually very clean, organized, and clutter free which makes it a lot easier to find what you're looking for. Lucy is absolutely WONDERFUL! She always acknowledges me, is very knowledgeable about ALL the products (not just cosmetics) and goes above and beyond to make you feel like you're cared about and are a valuable customer. Every time I see her she makes me smile and makes me want to come back. She is excellent and consistently provides amazing customer service. I haven't been to the Photo department in a while but I used to go every month or so, and their staff is great. During one of my visits, when I had no idea how to use their digital copying machines, they went above and beyond to help explain everything to me, and even stayed by my side to make sure they could answer all of my questions. Every time I've made a purchase at the main checkout counter, the cashiers have always been friendly and have even gone out of their way to help find me coupons (which, lets be honest - is a very appreciated gesture during these hard times). Overall, I think the staff is completely WONDERFUL and really do provide "excellent customer service", which seems to rare at most places. They actually care about their customers and take the time to show it. I would absolutely recommend this Walgreens. read more

This particular location has never provided me with any good experiences whether I'm just trying to buy a few items or collect a prescription from the pharmacy, but this particular experience prompted me to write a review about the pharmacy. I received a prescription on Friday 4/2 that immediately showed delayed because of insurance. I didn't need it right away because so I was willing to wait until Monday to clear things up with my Insurance and doctor fairly early in the day, before lunchtime. At around 3:30pm I go to the store and notice there isn't an employee at any of the cash registers and then encounter employee stocking the shelves with his face mask below his nose. I head over to the pharmacy and try to determine why the prescription hasn't been filled yet and the pharmacy tech tells me it is delayed for a different reason than what my insurance told me earlier, I can only assume that my provider is telling the truth. He then states that one of the pharmacists will need to count the inventory to make they can fill it that day which will not do as I am planning on having surgery the following day and need the medication, but for some reason there is not a single pharmacist on shift that is able to do that. I would have waited for someone who could have given me more information but there are only 3 seats for waiting and 2 are already in use and there is no where to sit and the aisles are very small which made me very uncomfortable due to Covid. After talked to 2 chat representatives that stated my prescription should have already been ready they suggest I call the pharmacy and at 7pm finally got to spoke to a pharmacist who stated my medication would be ready that day. No one should have to call, go in person and contact 4 different people via different methods to find out if their medication will be ready in time. If anyone is getting a prescription for pain medication do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, I'm glad I was only having to pick up as a preventative measure but feel terrible for anyone that has to deal with this pharmacy if they're in immediate pain read more

I ordered a canvas print from the photo center and not only was it ready in about 2 hours for same day pick up but it turned out amazing! I was helped by Omar Vargas (I believe that was his last name) and the 5 stars are specifically for him. He went the extra mile not only by preparing a beautiful canvas for my parents anniversary but he helped me wrap the gift right on the spot! This store continues to go downhill. The pharmacy is OK - some employees are rude though. The employees in the main part of the store are mostly just rude. Hopefully Kim F. is no longer working there. That little old(ish) lady has a mouth on her....ighhhhhh! Once when I went in to return something she said "You again?! You're always returning things! I always have to ring up your returns...why don't you make sure you're buying the right thing?!" Well excuse the ***k out of me, but as a customer service rep, it is your job to right the wrongs! I just called this pharmacy just a minute ago around 11:30am & unfortunately talked to someone who is rude. Thing is I need a refill on my prescription and my doctor thought I need to be seen again the reason of the denial of my prescription yesterday. Today I talked to my doctor & it turned out he doesn't need to see me after all just for a refill, my doctor then asked me to have Walgreens call him again so he can approve it. When I called, I talked to this woman who turned out to be of no patience at all. She asked me why did the doctor do that? All I can say is I don't know, my doctor just asked your pharmacy to call him again. The woman mumbled something and finally said "ok, we'll call him again" what an attitude. I am thinking to transfer my prescription somewhere else if the treatment is just like this. read more

I have gone a few times this past month for picture help and he has helped me every time. I am unsure if he is the only manager there, but he is the only one I ever see. The worse pharmacy i have ever been too. Called 1st to make sure they had a r/x and they had my name in the system from previous orders so i went in and told them my wallet was stolen but i had a copy of my D/L and was told should be ok. Went there with my copy of my D/L and a coy of the police report to show them what happened and each place i went to with a copy of my D/L was ok and i got there and now they said because its not the original D/L that can't fill the R/X. If they would have told me that on the phone when i told them what ID i had wouldn't have got there. Unfortunately i get a lot of R/X each month and would have been a good customer. Their lost and all they could say was "Sorry about this" Don't waste your time with them...the best is Reliable but they were out of my meds at this time. After reading the other reviews regarding the pharmacy the other people are 100% correct but today i need this R/X filled and they didn't care !!! read more

The Asian Pharmacist woman with glasses was extremely rude during my visit today. She literally looked at me and said "do you need help?" I told her I just got referred from an Urgent Care for a pick-up, she asked what address? I then asked, do you mean my address or the Urgent Care address, she legit got an attitude after I asked and she started talking over me saying, "obviously yours, unless you have multiple addresses." If I could give 0 stars best believe I certainly would! I called from a doctors office, trying to call in a prescription for one of our lovely patients. I called 4 TIMES. The entire time I was on hold within the 4 calls was an hour and 53minutes. The incentive for calling 4 times was due to being exceptionally patient and thinking to myself, "hey, maybe they are bombarded with phone calls or hey, maybe they're at lunch". They do not answer their phones, yet, when I fax over the prescription they claim to never have received it but on my end we have the fax confirmations. They then have the nerve to inform the patient "We never received it, please have them call it in or fax over the request" which, of course, makes our office appear unreliable and extremely unethical. If you are a patient or calling from a doctors office I would advise switching pharmacy's or advising the patient to do so, for your sake and your patients well being. Not to mention, doctor offices unfortunately do not have the time to remain on hold for such extent, then again, our patients always come first. In a world where even one minute feels like eternity, you need to give patients/ providers other valuable channel options to get support. read more

Saghar there refused to fill my anxiety prescription because she said my zip code wasnt the same as the doctors zip code. She refused to contact my dr on his cell phone as well. I had two forms of ID including one that had my old zip code on it . Very unprofessional. She treated me like i was an addict seeking drugs. I felt ashamed trying to fill my rx . Im also in the medical field and can tell when someones demeanor changes because they think someone is seeking drugs. Sad that these type of people exist. Lucy at the cosmetics counter is extremely knowledgeable and will help you find the bargains you want or the product that works best for you. Marlin and Justin in the pharmacy are the most thoughtful and helpful pharmacists and will go out of their way to make sure you get your prescription filled when you need it, if not sooner! The manager has always been great, the rest of the staff is always friendly and super available for anything you need. The place is relaxing to browse through, the print area gives gorgeous photos for very reasonable prices with a large selection to choose from. I can't recommend this Walgreens enough. read more

I almost didn't go to this Walgreens because of some of the bad reviews I read on yelp. The pharmacy staff was wonderful. My doctor sent a prescription electronically and it wasn't covered. They immediately called me to notify me. Then the pharmacist gave a call to the doctors office and change the prescription to something else that is covered. And they called me again to let me know that it is ready and what the co-pay would be. When I came to the pharmacy to pick up yes the line was a little long. But there was only one guy helping the front and one pharmacist in the back. They were both running around and doing their best to help people. When it was my turn they rang me up quickly and the pharmacist talk to me about how to use the medication. Overall I was very happy with their service read more

I come off time to this Walgreens because I leave like across the street. So yes I've been coming here for years. But I never had any one fighting with me for a spot in line before. I wanted to pick up a snack before the bus got there. I was waiting in line and when, it was my trun. this man cuts in front of me a said the line starts next to you and I said excuse me I was waiting and nothing saids that the line sarts at the other cash register. It truned in a bum argument. Finally I ask for the person in charge. And they were really nice and helped me out. Just went to walgreens to purchase a Sunday's paper and was helped by the Manager Ivan, only to be dismissed and treated very rudely. I asked Ivan a simple question about what happens to the Sunday papers at the close of business. Ivan responded with a "I don't know". I asked to speak with the manager and come to find out, Ivan is the manager but didn't have a clue of what happens to the papers that are not sold. Dismissively, Ivan said "oh well good night, I tried to help you". I thought how rude but more importantly how unprofessional coming from a store manager. Where is the customer service these days, more and more it just seems to be non existence. read more
