Previous day, Rx order & time of receipt
    Albert C.

I have zero positive to say about the Walgreens Pharmacy in Chula Vista, on Broadway Avenue. Nov. 2nd, near 1 PM, call the number for the pharmacy to check if my Rx was ready for pickup. On the line five minutes, the first call and have to hang up for another call; get back on-- to HOLD! I was on the line for 17+ min and still no one picked up. (supposedly 2 calls before mine ‍‍- or so I am told at initial answer.. ) Go to the store 50 min after ending the call 'cause after it searches, the computer tells me Rx will be ready in an hour; supposedly it's being filled. [see attachment showing receipt of Rx on Mon, 11:56 AM! OVER 12 hrs previous 2 my arrival!!] I was still at the store 45 minutes later... Wait behind 6 customers, with 1 clerk attending for 23+ min. Even then, 14 hrs after receipt, 1 hr ++ min after hearing, "It'll be ready!"-- IT WASN'T! Frustration! I tell clerk this will be the VERY LAST time I ever trust Walgreens with a solitary nickel, and obviously won't have any other Rx's sent here! Asked to wait 15 more minutes, oh joy! Finally after 20 min passes and I appear in proximity to counter, I'm told, "It's ready!" There're lines for picking up Rx's. Lines for people to get shots, but there's no order here and 1 person jumping thru hoops, between lines; zero other hands on deck. The shot line went up to 7 people, still no extra support, much less customer service. Negative stars if I could give them; one stars all that in good conscience, I can assign. Terrible service, all NON-Customer based, inconsideration. [And sadly in 3 weeks, 2x here on Broadway in the last 9 days, horrid experiences-- especially with the pharmacy Rx/info, call-in-line!!! But also with chaos of not enough help for dispensing Rx's or attending vaxx clients!!] (and there were other clerks around, but no one checks the line to see if customer's needs are being mis-served and stalled!) Why do people pay any money or give so much of their time to Walgreensz heck they're hardly given more than CURT, attention?? Rite Aid, Costco, and even CVS have better support and better organization. [haven't even mentioned my experience 18 days earlier at the 3rd Ave Walgreen's Pharmacy and the 30 min plus wait and pharmacy disorganization, staff disrepect for and near abusive interactions with customers!! Next YELP, maybe??]

This location is weird i dont know what it is but one day we had went here to get a prescription from the pharmacy wich we decided to wait around in the store employees look at you like your stealing and not only that this weirdo gonna start following us around with his cart and start saying random things to us and asking questions and not to be friendly but in a creepy type way ,other than that they have a nice variety of things at this store and its pretty spaced out.

Requirements for FedEx drop off. No where on this sign states a certain time

Sooooo this Walgreens is a FedEx drop off location as far as I understand. But when I went there last right around 7pm the shift manager denied my drop off. I was told that it was too late to drop off. But no where on their FEDEX drop off requirements said I needed to before a certain time. My packages did meet the requirements though which I provided a picture of. I gave this place a review of one star because the shift manager maintained her composure as I was cussing and yelling at her, Good job.

This Walgreens is located in Chula Vista. It is the closest location to us. Hubby always has some free money to spend. He had $15 to spend. Who does not love free money to spend? We managed to get our daughter a couple of toys and some frozen food. I love how Walgreens has so many items you can purchase from food, drinks, to your everyday needs. I love looking at the make up aisle. It is so organized. The store is clean and there is a clearance rack in the very back of the store. Unlike most stores, you have to be a member to get the sale prices and the free money to spend. The more you spend, the more you earn points. That is how you get the free money. I normally don't shop here since I don't have a Walgreens in Imperial Beach but if I ever need anything, I would definitely come here. There's plenty of parking in front.

The first time I've used this Walgreen's. I need to fill a prescription and it was close. They do have a drive thru, but since I just had dental work, I could not exactly formulate sentences that would made sense over an intercom! I dropped off my prescription inside and decided to walk around the store. Every employee I crossed paths with up and down the isle, greeted me and asked if they could assist me with a smile. Staff felt very warming and friendly.

Went in for a flu shot and ended up getting the shingles and whooping cough (Tdap) vaccinations as well.

Updated 2026 review -…read more This CVS has been through a revamp and remodel to prevent theft. At one time or another, I've been shopping when theft had occurred and while they've tried security, it didnt seem to help with theft. They now have the expensive items or easy-to-steal or mostly stolen items locked-up. Which is great for the business, but not so much for loyal customers when you want to grab, pay and go. Today I didnt mind as there was time to get my items. I shop here occasionally as I am an ExtraCard member and get free shipping for items, I typically opt to use that benefit. They offer this for $5 a month plus you recieve $10 in extracareBucks each month! Its a win-win. In any event, I've never had a bad experience. Employees are always nice, I have not utilized the pharmacy in a few years since switching insurances but did notice that they are closed for lunch, so be mindful. Photo is quick, while some items/photo may be out of stock during promotional time, they are good about informing you. If you are coming at the end of the week, be mindful that couponers may have cleared some of the items you came shopping for! I have used ordering online and pickup in store at this location as well, and never had an issue. Since the last time I came shopping, things have been moved around. So glad they are still here and you can still find some amazing deals especially with the manufacturer coupons, CVS personalized coupons and the cash back "extraBucks" - it has definitely changed how couponing was pre-covid but still better than paying full price when compared to the inflation of everything nowadays!

Don't shop here. The…read morecustomer service area alone is a reason to avoid this store. It routinely takes 15-30 minutes just to reach the counter due to how slow and understaffed it is. I had a very strange, off-putting, and anti-consumer experience trying to return a DVD that was sold as new and sealed but was damaged inside once opened. The damage was not visible prior to purchase and was discovered only after opening the sealed packaging. The item was not damaged by me. When I first went to the electronics department, I was told I could purchase a replacement DVD and then go to customer service to return the damaged one. Most items are kept behind glass, which already makes shopping here frustrating. It often takes several minutes just to find an employee to unlock anything. At customer service, the team leader on duty, Nybo, who was working Saturday, January 3, 2026 around 11:30 AM, stated along with her staff that the situation was my fault for not knowing store policy and that Walmart does not accept returns on damaged physical media. There is no signage in the electronics department, no notice on the locked media displays, and no disclosure at the register stating that physical media is final sale even when defective. Had this been clearly disclosed, I would not have made the purchase. During the interaction, Nybo laughed while I was explaining how confusing and unreasonable this policy is. Her tone was dismissive, and her behavior appeared to set the tone for the rest of the staff. At one point, security was called to the area even though I was calm and not being disruptive. The hostility was coming from the staff, not me. Even small local retailers will usually correct an issue when they sell a defective product. Walmart refusing to stand behind an item it sold as new while blaming the customer is extremely disappointing. I have escalated this issue to corporate and will be filing a formal complaint. I will not be shopping at this location again.

Debatable, but it feels like it when I see the "you saved" totals. Experience: * CVS feels like a scavenger hunt - sometimes great deals, sometime not * I never leave empty-handed, even when I plan to * Parking and entry can be tricky if you're not familiar with the area * Inside is typical CVS - not very clean or organized, a bit cramped * There's usually a checkout line; I stick to self-checkout and get out in about 10 minutes * Pharmacy seems to always have complaints and staff never seem happy. That's unfortunate. * I usually grab basics and keep it quick: snacks, drinks, household items, vitamins, self-care essentials Pros: * Coupons and rewards program * Decent prices on vitamins and essentials - love how you can also use coupons for extra savings * Self-checkout is usually quick unless it gives you a hard time. Cons: * This location had limited spaces for parking * Not the cleanest or most organized * Long checkout lines since they always seem to be short-staffed * Employees seem disengaged Final thoughts: Not the best CVS, but it gets the job done. It was stocked with my basics and I was in and out quickly. I'll be back if I'm in the area because well it's CVS. Fun fact: CVS stands for Consumer Value Stores - just discovered that today
