Multiple times. Repeat, multiple times the following has occurred at this pharmacy. What is the point of ordering in advance if they are not going to have the prescription ready? They've gotten by me a couple of times with this kind of crap but not this time. 1. Don't insult my intelligence and act like there is only one prescription and yay it's ready when you know damn well looking at the screen there were three that were ordered. Also don't start stammering excuses when you get called out on it. 2. Don't tell me that I'll have to sit and wait in the driveway for half an hour because your pharmacist is preparing others for the people in the lobby. They walked in, I ordered 3 hours in advance. Get it DONE! Now mind you, I was picking up the prescription an hour late to give them a time cushion for this reason. *the last couple of times they did this it was ordered over 10 hours in advance.* I can't believe I switched back to this company from Rite Aid. Time to go back. The loss of my business won't make the tiniest of dents in this mega pharmacy but at least you'll know what to expect if you have a long-term prescription. So, I'm aware that the store is open 24/7 but does that really give the pharmacy crew a reason to be rude?! Ahhhh don't think so ! I know you're working long hours and you're probably running on little sleep but, thumbs down to the pharmacy crews customer service ! I've been having ear pain but I'm the type of person to just sit there and tolerate the pain because I'm super stubborn . It got to the point where it was just unbearable so I came to Walgreens hoping to get a recommendation on what to take for the pain . I usually have no problem with getting help . During my past visits , the pharmacist went out of his way to walk me to the aisle , give me the name of the medicine, and even recommend other options in case the medicine doesn't work . Today was just something else . I'm in line, hoping to get my questions answered and the girl behind the counter rudely told me I was in the wrong line. I then go to the next line and the pharmacist didn't even bother listening to what I had to say . He cut me off and said " go to that aisle right there and look for something that helps with earache ." No particular brand, he didn't even bother telling me what aisle he just pointed to the air and said that one, he really just wanted me to go away, it seemed. Since he didn't help at all, I just ended up using Google to help me find something that particularly helps with the type of pain I was having . read more

1. Wait time was 10 minutes in the drive-thru. 2. When it was my turn (only one of two windows were open), I sat at the window for an additional 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. By that time, another 4 cars were stacked up behind me. 3. Always short staffed. 4. Didn't have my prescription despite ordering it the day before. Horrible customer service.... The only reason I come to this pharmacy is because they have a drive up!! Other than that they are absolutely CRAP!! They never can fill the prescription for you right away they send you away for hours!!! Then you come back to only one of the medications being filled!! I've been getting my prescriptions filled at this Walgreens for years and have never had a problem. Refills are easy to order. Just call and use the automated system and specify when you want to pick it up. Best part is that it's 24 hours! Not just the pharmacy. I needed to have some pictures printed ASAP for my mom's birthday today and called them at 6:16am this morning and asked if they their photo lab is up and running with their machines warmed up as I did not have much time to print my pictures before heading to work. I said I'd be in around 7 and asked them how long it would take to print a dozen pictures. The person I spoke to was very nice and said it would take only 10 minutes. I get there late and start choosing my pictures to print and ended up printing 22 photos. Price: $6.62 at $.29 per photo. Yes, you can get it cheaper if you buy in bulk, like print at least 50 photos at a time. I think it's $.19 per photo. But it's worth it because of the convenience. I had the photos I wanted and within minutes I was out the door. read more

24 hr walgreens and has a pharmacy, very convienient. Everything is almost always stocked. It was only once or twice that they were out of the item(s) I was looking for. Always look out for their sales, they usually have pretty nice deals. Most makeup is usually buy 1 get 1 50% off, which I love and feel that it's a great deal buying your drugstore make up here rather than at target or walmart or anywhere else. Check your bag before leaving for any missing items. It was my mistake for not noticing earlier but I had brought two bags of chex mix to the check out but they only sold me one bag. Not sure what happened the time, it wasn't busy or anything, maybe the guy was just distracted. Not that it was really a big deal but I just thought I'd include this incident on here. Also, If the front register lines are long, don't forget the cosmetic line or the photo line! read more

They are one of the worst pharmacies I've ever dealt with. They've been out of my prescription since it was ordered two weeks ago. Fortunately, I had enough left to get through for the time being. One person doesn't know what the other is doing. Lord help you if you have to pick up a controlled substance! I've been going here for two years and each time I've had to pick up a pain pill ( after being rear ended at about 50 MPH) or anything else that was a controlled medication they treat you like a drug addict. I understand why they have to be careful but not everyone who uses a pain medication is a junkie. They're also inconsistent with their 'due diligence '. I've brought a friend to them to pick up her prescriptions (90 Xanax) and they never asked for ID. There's no personal service. read more

Long lines, long wait for medication, sometimes does not have what they call you for, rude service, they might make you go inside, they made me wait for 3 hours after they told me 20 minuets, I go to the window ask me to go inside just to tell me I can buy it off the shelf, they later on call for me to buy the same medication. HORRIBLE! This Pharmacy is such a joke. They won't release any meds a day or two early like every other freaking pharmacy does. It takes 15 minutes to get anyone on the phone. One time I had to tell them an instruction about a med to 3 different people over three days cause I knew if I didn't they'd mess it up and even with that they still managed to jack it up. My last straw was today. I put in an order Monday and it said it would be ready Wed at 10. I get there at 515 tonight and it's not ready. I end up having to wait another 20 minutes for it. The Techs, especially the young girl that works the drive thru is awesome, but Walgreens is absolute garbage!!!!! read more

Sent a complaint letter to Walgreens Corporate on 9/7/16 detailing a week's worth of systemic problems at this store. I have noticed in the months since there has been considerable improvements in the number of pharmacists on staff during peak hours. Before the letter I would have given this Walgreens 1-2 stars. Here's my letter in full if you wish to read: ------------------- I apologize for the length of this message, but it needed details to convey the severity of systemic issues at this particular Walgreens. My complaint covers August 29, 2016 - September 2, 2016. I will try to stay on point but realize it took me an hour to write this. I completed it at 12:56 AM, Saturday morning, not having taken my medicine or gone to bed. August 29th. I decided, after a long time of not wanting to use your iPhone app, to download it and put it to use. At 8:54 PM, I placed a refill order for Qxxx XXmg, qty XX, to be picked up on Wednesday, August 31st at 6 PM. Several minutes later I received an email confirming my order. Great! :) August 30th, at roughly 8 AM, I started receiving notifications that my prescriptions (note the "s") are ready for pickup. Confused, I log into the website and see that this Walgreens filled all my prescriptions the next morning. I never placed an order for Gxxx XXXmg, qty XX. I do not know why they refilled this prescription when I did not order it. August 30th, roughly at 6 PM, I tried to call this Walgreens' pharmacy department to find out why the order, date and time were wrong. After 22 minutes with no answer, I hung up. I called the customer service number 1-800-925-4733 to file a complaint about two issues: The screwed up order and how no one in the pharmacy department of this Walgreens ever answers the phones. August 31st, at around 6:30 pm, I visited this Walgreens to pick up my refill. I also brought with me a printed copy of the email receipt from the order I placed through the app on Monday to (or "intending to") ask a pharmacist what happened. When I got up to the counter, I said that I was only there to pick up the Qxxx refill and to cancel the Gxxx refill. She acknowledged my request, and I paid. I then proceeded to ask her about the issue with the order, and its mishandling. She said she is not a pharmacist, but was a cashier filling in for the pharmacy's short staff. She wasn't qualified to answer my questions but was qualified to look at my personal medical information (???). She told me I could wait to talk to one of them, but they were so busy that it would likely be another 20-minute wait. I walked away never having had my question answered. September 1st, all day. I kept getting text messages notifying me that my Gxxx refill is ready for pick up. I ignored them. An obvious error, I thought, considering the cashier acknowledged my request to cancel the order. September 2nd, all day. Text messages to pick up Gxxx refill persisted. Frustrated, at 10:20 PM I called this Walgreens to have them cancel the order. 15 minutes passed with no answer. Instead of taking my medicine and going to sleep, I was forced to drive to this Walgreens to request that they cancel the refill order in person. I also brought the original printed copy of the email receipt from the App order I placed on Monday. When I walked into the pharmacy department there was one person ahead of me. For what seemed like 20-25 minutes the pharmacist engaged in lengthy small talk with the person in front of me. When I finally got up to the window and said there's an opened Gxxx refill order that needs to be canceled, the pharmacist never apologized for the error his department made or that I drove to him to cancel it. After canceling, he gave back the paper, and said "next." I never had an opportunity to ask why the order was messed up in the first place, three days ago. ALL THAT happened because I decided to use your phone app. However, please note, the app is not the issue. The main problem is this Walgreens' coverage area is massive. As a physician trying to call in a prescription in the middle of the night, I waited on hold over 15 minutes and never had my phone call answered. I am trying to take care of patients and they, apparently, are not up to the task. Although I can leave a voicemail message of prescriptions, I would rather speak directly to the pharmacists to know they have received my prescriptions correctly and began filling it immediately, as my patient needed the medication immediately. Went to the pharmacy last night and they told me I had an expired insurance card, which was not correct but because it was late, I couldn't call my insurance company to verify. I called and verified everything the next day, and it was all up to date and accurate. I returned to the pharmacy and wanted to use the drive thru, but it was 6 cars deep... So I went inside, the line was 8 people long. Now, that's not a problem if they were really busy, so I waited my turn. When I got to the counter, the same pharmacy technician was there again, told me my card was expired again. I moved to the side, frustrated, and logged in the app I downloaded earlier, pulled up the copy of the newest insurance card, that matched the one in my wallet exactly. I over hear the tech telling someone else their info was expired, and they left frustrated. I return to the line, show him the app version, another person comes over and helps him out, and he says oh here, I fixed it, this card is correct. I let him know ALL of the membership and ID numbers were all the same, but that I heard the pharmacist explain what he was missing. It took me two trips and 45 minutes to check out because a tech who was employed since '03 didn't know what he was looking for. Wasted trip and such slow service, I won't be back. read more

This is an A-OK Walgreens. The staff are friendly and the store pretty clean. Unfortunately I had my car broken into here January 2013, so it's left a bad taste in my mouth since (not that it was the stores fault of course). They have what you need and you can usually get in and out pretty quickly. read more

Went in with my boyfriend tonight to see if we could get two tens for our twenty because with it being New Years, the bank is closed. The cashier which i think might have even been a manager gave us the worst attitude. He told us that we had to buy something for him to be able to open the register, which is fine! I was complient even though the way he spoke to us was as if we are stupid. He then abruptly told me to put in my phone number for my rewards, then continued to RUDELY grab the pin pad from me and go "you dont even have one do you?". That is about the time I said forget it, thanks, and left. Im appauled at how this man spoke to us when we were nothing but polite and will NOT be visiting this store again. This Pharmacy lost a copy of my prescription. This caused a major issue, and my Doctor had to send over a new prescription request. Major incompetence to lose a person's prescription. If they make mistakes like this, it makes you wonder what other errors they have made. I stopped going here right after. read more

Open 24 Hours, if you ever need anything at 2AM. Very friendly staff, clean and tidy store. This seems to be an extremely busy Walgreens.

The only pharmacy open 24 Hours in the Elk Grove, the location is very convenient as it sits in the heart of Elk Grove. I was recently here to pick up meds for my gf's sister and they worked promptly and did it all with a smile. I definitely recommend people having this prescriptions sent here because their hours are so convenient! read more
