Imagine spending 4.5 hours in the ER after an agonizing week, suffering from complications of a spinal procedure. Imagine getting relief from medication prescribed in the ER and getting well enough to be released, with instructions to fill paper prescriptions that helped you out a medical crisis. Imagine going to the nearest 24 hour pharmacy, hand-carrying those prescriptions which are of short-duration (less than a few days) of the same rescue medications I was successfully treated with in the ER, and being asked why I was prescribed the medications. I was exhausted so I gave her my medical history and reason for ER visit, an absolute "First" and a likely HIPPA violation. She then said I could only pick one of the two medications she flagged because they caused respiratory depression. She said she had to contact the doctor who prescribed them at the ER and he "wasn't even a doctor, only a P.A." (Um, who is licensed to prescribe, right?). I said ok go ahead and contact him. She then said she wouldn't call until I gave her ALL of the paper prescriptions and picked "one" to fill now because the ER is busy and won't answer their faxes or phone calls. She was very aggressive. I balked and said I would get them filled tomorrow at my CVS. CVS filled the prescriptions with compassion the next morning. They spent a lot of time counseling me regarding the fact that I could take the two medications prescribed in the ER but ONLY those medications as I had an existing g non narcotic medication that was contraindicated during this short term acute treatment- poly pharmacy concerns which I appreciated and understood 100% I have no idea what the issues are at this Walgreens or with this pharmacist but she went far beyond the scope of her position and disparaged licensed prescribers who made clinical decisions well within the purview of their training and licensure. My concern is that she wanted ALL of the paper prescriptions and told me she would only fill one of the two she deemed respiratory depressants. I was so tired and exhausted it would have been easy to leave them all and my suspicion is that the unfilled rx would have disappeared. I don't know if this pharmacist is a self-appointed narcotics police or a con artist, but beware! Untreated pain is deadly, too. I would recommend the supervisors evaluate the pharmacist on duty at this location at 4 AM on Sept. 18th. read more

I can't think of a business that frustrates me more or is run with more utter negligence and a lack of customer service than this Walgreens pharmacy. Parking is easy to find in their large parking lot. The photo center is amazing, and the store itself is run fairly well. The pharmacy, on the other hand, is a nightmare from hell. Here are several examples of their sheer negligence and not giving a shit: 1. I'm asked for my ID in the drive-through. No problem. That's the law and standard operating procedure. It's handed back to me stapled to my bag through the bar code. I had to replace it at DMV for $35 as they couldn't swipe it at the airport, bank, and nightlife venues. Just plain stupidity. 2. I'm prescribed Tamiflu. They're out of it. No biggie, I didn't die without it. Rather than send me an automated email or text that they regularly bombard me with useless messages on, I'm left to call the pharmacy and wait on hold for 45 minutes to be told that they're out of it. 3. I received a partial fill of one of my medications. It's not ideal, but I get it. I'm told the rest will be automatically filled. I've been out for multiple days and go in, and I'm told my Hiep, a pharmacist, and Navroop, a pharmacy technician, will be filled right away. 30 minutes later, it hasn't been started. Neither have any common sense or level of customer service. I honestly don't know how either are employed. 4. One of my diabetes medications has been out of stock due to supply chain issues. I understand and respect that, but there's literally no communication from them. Their system is smart enough to pester me that I'm running low or out of refills but not smart enough to tell me when a medication is expected to be back in stock or perhaps a neighboring location that has it available. 5. I take two medications that can interact with one another. Every doctor I see is completely aware of what I'm taking and has sent in a note confirming such. Yet every month without fail, I have to call in to have my medications filled because their system doesn't recognize it, and the pharmacists have made zero effort to catch it. I wouldn't mind having to call in occasionally, but their calls are now routed to a call center, and it's a pain to reach the pharmacy itself, since the call center employees can't assist with the matter. I've had the UPMOST patience with them. I called today and briefly spoke to the store manager, Paul, who didn't really want to hear my story and pawned me off to the pharmacy manager Catherine. Catherine listened, but I honestly don't think she gives a damn any more than anyone else and blamed it on their volume. I'm not asking for a personal phone call or smoke signal if they're out of an item, but if you can bother me with incessant emails and text messages, it boggles my mind you can't do likewise with other matters. Literally, the only pharmacy employee here who's empathetic, friendly, and kind is Trinie. If you're looking for a decent 24-hour store or photo center, Walgreens is a great place. If you're looking for a 24-hour pharmacy, they're your only option. If you're looking for a good pharmacy, run like Forrest Gump anywhere else. read more

came here to pick up a prescription, and only received one. didn't realize it til i got in my car, walked back in and was quite literally stuck there for TWO. HOURS. TWO MF HOURS??!! HELLO?? i've never worked in a pharmacy so i genuinely don't know if that's "normal" or what. but i think that's just ridiculous. anyways, as i was patiently waiting for them to call my name, i watched probably every other person in that line run into some issue with the pharmacist. one lady was told that they didn't have a single one of her 4 prescriptions, another guy received the wrong medication, and then being told that it's because their "insurance doesn't cover it". i just don't understand how it can be so difficult to double/triple check peoples prescriptions and also why it takes so god damn LONG to do so. anyways, the people in line were really nice and i ended up talking to one of the guys who was also stuck there for a while and had a good laugh. glad i don't have to go back there ever again read more

I don't have a problem with cleanliness or products they offer. They have good sales and the staff is usually friendly enough. Pharmacy is always always always backed up. Avg wait is about 40 mins just to pick up meds and often it's longer. Two issues I had recently, I ordered an item and headed to the store for pick up. I had to wait until they finished the check out lines which had about 18 people, and then she had to retrieve my items from the shelf, which I had in my hand. It showed on app that they were going to be delivered which I didn't sign up for. Recently I paid to have my prescriptions delivered same day, they didn't arrive, app said they would be delivered in 4 days, called store who said they were still at the store, so overall a very confusing mess. We decided to pick up, they refunded the delivery fee but not the tip. read more

They lost my wife's prescription. She had a prescription ordered here early on a Friday morning. It took until Friday at 3pm for them to verify the prescription (as confirmed by her doctor's office). After waiting on hold for over an hour, we couldn't get confirmation from the pharmacy over the phone, so I went into the store. I then spent 2 hours waiting for them to verify the prescription, and they received the prescription, but they said they did not have the medication on hand and that they would order it. They told me that it would arrive the following Tuesday and to come back then. I came back to the pharmacy on that Tuesday. When I was there, they no longer had any record of her prescription. We tried different telephone numbers and addresses. We even tried using the doctor's name/practice in order to find the prescription. Nope, just completely disappeared. Now, my wife is without her much needed medication while we try to get the prescription re-sent (this time, we will be asking for it to be sent to a different pharmacy). We have never had this happen before, and we are extremely upset. My wife has been extremely sick for the last 5 days without her prescription. How do you have a patient's prescription on record one day and then it's just completely gone a few days later? Also, their phone system never gives you a real person to talk to. TLDR: Waited for hours for prescription to finally be verified, and then waited for days for it to be filled. Then they lost it. If you can, go to literally any other pharmacy. read more

I was sent to this location to pick up a transport chair for my mom who had just broken her current one. The Mack Rd. Walgreens didn't have any in stock but found that this store had what I needed in my mother's choice of colors - red! When I arrived, I was acknowledged quickly and helped with the locating and retrieval of this very heavy wheelchair from the shelf. The employee performed the transaction and offered to help lift it out to my car, but I felt bad about being an inconvenience and pulling her away from the cash register she was in charge of. Fortunately, I have been lifting weights at home and managed to carry it out myself! LOL! My mother was very happy with our purchase and it was even better than the one she was previously using! She stated that it was more comfortable to sit in and easily maneuvers around the room and corners. I'm just glad she approved, because she is very picky, and I didn't want to have to return it back to the store! While this place is not in my neighborhood, and I probably wouldn't drive out of my way to shop here, it is a good, solid drug store that I wouldn't mind returning to if I was in the area. After all, they carry all the merchandise consisting of what you would expect to find, in drugs, cosmetics, sundries, cold drinks, snacks, seasonal items, etc. And an extra plus - they are open 24 hours! An absolute joke of a pharmacy. My parents have been getting their Rx's from here for years. Since my dad passed, I have been helping take care of my Mom. That involves picking up her meds. Walgreens regularly calls telling us her neds are ready for pickup with an almost 10% accuracy rate, and that is generous. Half the time I wait at least 30 minutes in line for them to tell me they don't even have an Rx for her on file for refil, EVEN after I play the recording of the voicemail they leave stating it is ready. The few times, they have the Rx on file, they DO NOT fill it till I walk up to the counter and ask for it. Then it is another 30 minute wait AND 30 minute additional wait in line. What a joke. Me and my disabled father waited in line for 4 hours and they told us our medicine was billed in Walmart pharmacy so we couldn't buy it or pay out of our pocket because we had insurance, then we waited until this morning and then we called them again and they said that we need to wait UNTIL SATURDAY? other people had to wait 2 hours, BUT US, we had to wait for 2 days until we had to get my medicine. If you want medicine just go to the Walmart Pharmacy next to Elk Grove Boulevard, they can get the medicine done in 15 minutes right after they are told to, they are just honestly way better at their job, unlike this Walgreens. This Walgreens has had staffing issues for the last 15 years. They know their service is horrible because they never have enough people on staff. The staff is usually pretty nice but when you're on hold for two hours get disconnected three times and then have to hang up and call back again and then sit in the drive-through for an hour and still be on hold for another hour and a half, it's more than frustrating. They know they need to hire more people. They've got a huge line inside at the pharmacy window. Walgreens quit being so cheap and get some help for your existing staff because people need their medication. People don't order prescriptions for fun, this is a detriment to peoples health and well-being. read more

This walgreens takes forever to fill a prescription. 2 days is the average wait time to get even the most urgent prescriptions filled. Even then, you will have to wait in an hour long line if you don't want to get out of your car. It's really bad. Get them filled somewhere else if you can. Visit this location when I'm visiting family that live nearby. Perfect location near Target and a variety of restaurants and shops. I was on the hunt for a fade cream for scars that I'm certain I've seen at Walgreens dozens of times over the years. I asked for assistance and the Associate sadly showed me where the brand I was looking for was located but when on to say they no longer make the specific product I was looking for. If I could put a negative rating, I would! I chose this location only because they have a 24 hour pharmacy. I had a dental extraction done and had my dental office call my pain medication to this location. As I was gathering my items together, the MA was calling in my prescription. Worst decision I ever made! I went to the pharmacy as the Novocain was wearing off. I was greeted by the technician and I had to give her my license because I wasn't really able to talk very well. The tech checked her computer and said,"I can't find your Rx just yet. It isn't in my queue. They probably didn't send it yet." I told her the MA was on the phone with the pharmacist as I was leaving. She then went back to her computer. She then told me "Well there are already 85 prescriptions in the queue right now that will need to be filled first so it is going to take a while." I then asked how long will this take because I just had a dental procedure and my Novocain was wearing off and I really needed those pills. She nonchalantly told me to call back tomorrow or the day after. I went home and had a really horrible night of pain. I called the next day and the day after and it still wasn't ready. I wouldn't wish this on anybody. I will never step foot in that store again. As I was on line at the pharmacy, everyone waiting had already had issues with their prescriptions they were picking up (a couple people had already been there a few times trying to pick up medications and they still weren't ready). read more

This pharmacy used to be great until the last couple of years. They have unknowledgable staff from the front counter to the pharmacist. They never run the prescription correctly, having customer pay full price. They will lie to you saying it's been run when the pharmacist named Hai is just too lazy to be diligent to process the prescriptions properly. And, if asked a question, he is rude to tell you he can't override the transaction (when I was told by the evening pharmacist that I spoke to at 615a this morning, it can be done manually), Hai suggests that you just claim it with your insurance. This pharmacy continuously doesn't process prescription properly. The pharmacist named Hai is rude, they take forever to process prescriptions. The pharm techs and pharmacists are probably C or D students. I will stop going to this specific one. Customers are always frustrated dealing with them on a daily basis. If you see the guy pharmacist named Hai, make sure you insist and question him if he processed your prescription through the insurance. Knowing him, he's too lazy to look for it online. read more

Had to pick up a prescription tonight and both inside and drive thru line was incredibly long! As soon as I got in line inside one of the pharmacist I believe left or went on her break; leaving only one pharmacist (Tosin) to help customers at both windows AND the phone. 5 stars just for him! He was very very nice and had a smile on despite how busy it was for him. Said my prescription would be ready in about 40 minutes so I left and came back. When I did come back and was waiting in line he remembered who I was and called me up instead of making me wait another 20-30 minutes in line to give my prescriptions. Was forced over from another location closing down, requested meds, said it was ready then it's not and they don't even attempt to get the information to help you out! One bad experience after the next! My son had surgery today and somehow/someway, this pharmacy received 2 of his post-surgery prescriptions and the other 2 ended up at the Franklin blvd location. Before being told of this irregularity, I waited on hold for over 30 minutes and hung up on when they picked-up the phone. Called back and waited another hour on hold when I learned only 2 prescriptions were being filled and the other 2 were down the road. It was a little after 5pm so I rushed to the Franklin location first but they were already closed at 5:15pm with advertised hours of 6pm. Went to pick up the other 2 and headed back home. Then I learned the Franklin location is closed on Sunday and Monday, which means his antibiotics will not be filled for almost 3 days!!!! I called the Laguna/bruceville location again and waited on hold for 2 hours!!! Guess what??? Hung up on!!!!!! How do these people have ANY CUSTOMERS. They deserve none. read more

This was my default pharmacy as CVS closed down. My first experience here was horrible. Long wait times. You wait first to let them know you're ready to pick up the prescription & provide your info. Then, they tell you it's going to be 45-1 hour before it's ready. I came back a second time 2.5 hours later, stood in line for another 30 mins, only to be told it's going to be another 30-1hr wait. I waited another 30 mins for a 3rd time and my prescription was not ready. If I could give zero stars I would. I wasted my time coming here 3 times and still my prescription was not filled. I was told there is no rush on prescriptions and I would have to get back in line to check if it was ready. Worst customer service. read more

The Pharmacy department was really behind. We dropped off a prescription of 3 medications in the afternoon. We then went back at around 8pm to pick them up, and only one medication was ready. We had to come back the following morning to pick up the remaining medications. I felt like that was unusually long to wait for 3 medications. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. Please only choose this location if it is close to home. I've been coming to this pharmacy only because I live 5 min away. Half of the staff are nice and the other half should definitely find a new career. This location is very very slow. I always request my RX two days in advance and sometimes it still wouldn't be ready. If you wait in line inside be prepared to scroll through social media/reddit on your phone. You may even have to scroll through posts from two days ago. I'm finally writing a review due to the experience I had this morning. I went to the drive thru around 6am with noo one in line and noo one at the pharmacy register & they stilllll had me waitin at least 6-8min. The female stated that she was helping a customer over the phone. Mind you, I had my RX pass so all she needed to do was scan the qr code, go in the back, grab it and hand it to me and ill be gone with the wind. Like girl, you can't multitask? This place is not ran well at all - I had to leave because they were taking to long - I only needed to pick up - no question no old man talk - just want to get in and out but it's not possible here because they employees are slow. And they don't have a window for quick pick up for people that are low touch. When I voice my concerns with the person that did help me on my second And last visit - another employee who did not look happy that was running the crazy slow drive up made some negative comments when I wasn't even talking to her. Walgreens' highly publicized vaccination program is a joke. They need the infrastructure to fill a prescription without a headache (i.e., too few stores with extended hours, too few pharmacists, and too few staff). I've gotten several vaccinations through Walgreens but at a cost. The system to sign-up and make an appointment is easy enough (although if you change it, they make you start from the very beginning--very annoying), but at the store, expect long waits, expect them to ask you to fill out and answer the same questions you already answered online, and expect hurdles (such as different manufacturers when trying to get a second or third dose and boosters). More than once, I've booked an appointment at a less busy Walgreens on Mack Rd, only to be redirected (after wasting 30-45 minutes) to this Walgreens where the wait is even longer and frustration greater. Please get your act together, Walgreens. You're disappointing everyone. read more

This is one of my "go-to" drug stores. Funny that I actually live in between the two locations, though. They're pretty equal distance. This is my favorite and it's also a 24-Hour store!! BONUS points!!! I have not actually had to come here in the middle of the night, though. It's just good to know that they are. Every single time I walk in, someone from the register says hello or even the make up area. I love coming in on their sale days. I am normally in here for my allergy meds. I usually end up renting something from their RedBox machines. This location has the rental box conveniently outside. The pharmacy department is awesome. I always have written down my prescriptions and when I am buying something over the counter...I ask!! Sounds crazy, but safety first!! It doesn't matter how busy they are, I always get great advice. Every time that I come in, some of the employees are stocking shelves. I love the fact that they are busy and have deadlines for their work loads and still take the time to say hello. It's nice to see cheerful folks. The store looks clean. ( Other than their employees working the shelves ). There are always signs on sale items. I always look for their clearance items. Sometimes you can find great deals on soaps, lotions, shampoos, or candy. Depending on the time of the day, sometimes it's hard to get out of the parking lot. Traffic can get crazy busy around the time schools getting out. Bus routes, too. I try not to be trapped in the area at that time. Overall, it's a drug store. Look for sales and bring coupons. Prices are probably a little higher than Walmart on regular priced items. This is also more convenient, though. read more

Pharmacy service- I went inside to pick up a RX and to speak with the pharmacist. There were four people in line ahead of me and no one standing at the counter. After about 3 minutes an employee called up a customer, he then had to fill out some paperwork. He was later told to have a seat and the employee went about doing something but not once did she look up to see that there was a long line. As I said four people in front of me and then 3 behind, not once did anyone leave with their RX in 15 minute that I stood in line. I left, as I was driving out I noticed that the drive thru only had two cars, so I took my chance, wrong move. It was 25 minutes before i was able to get service. It's really sad, there is no sense of urgency, people come there for meds because they are sick. Not a fan of the pharmacy, however, I've had great service in the photo department. read more

Review is for their photo services. I'm a fan, because there's often coupon codes for free prints. There's also codes for good deals on prints. The only thing to note is their photo quality isn't top notch, but I guess you get what you pay for. And I'm pretty sure it's not the camera quality either...this has been the case for digital cameras back in the day and now even the newest iPhones. Anyway, even though I select the pickup time to be about 4 hours after placing my order because I'm not in any rush, they usually have prints ready within half an hour. Amazing! You can pay in store for your prints only if you opt for pick-up. You also have the option to do curbside pickup for photos. I would think it would take longer to do curbside since there are other customers they'd have to help in store, especially when it's peak shopping times. It doesn't take that much effort to walk in and pick them up anyway. Overall, Walgreens is my go-to for photos! read more
