Went to ER last night and had some meds and doctor sent prescriptions to this Walgreens for antibiotics and pain. This place has a rep so I go in at 10:30am instead of at opening. Lady tells me two hours. Because of their rep I give them 4 hrs and go in at 2:30pm. Guess what...not ready. Can you wait 15 minutes. All exasperated I tell they guy "I was in ER last night! I need my meds!" He says I'll call you fifteen minutes. Omg this infection is in my body and you get this kind of response. I should have switched to CVS Longs. This doesn't happen there! read more

To be honest, until tonight I had received pretty good customer service at the pharmacy in store here. But tonight I called the pharmacy for an issue I had with my prescription and received the opposite end of the spectrum. I politely was trying to explain my problem as thoroughly as possible but the lady irritatedly cut me off and said that my prescription wasn't due for refill yet. And she had that annoying attitude the whole rest of the way. It turns out she was right because I ended up finding the package with my prescription, I had just misplaced it. But it was such an unpleasant ordeal talking to her, that didn't need to be that way one tiny bit. read more

This review is mainly for their PHOTO DEPARTMENT. If your lucky, you'll get to see a couple friendly employees. Went in yesterday to pick up my pictures that I sent in through their mobile app around 7:30/8AM (mind you these are for their 1 hour prints) Got a text from them at 9:43 AM saying "Good news Tiani your order is ready for pick up at the store." GREAT! They'll be ready way before my event starts. I get there at around 4pm and walk straight to the photo center. It took the 3 of them a while to notice me. 1 was restocking the cigarettes, the 2nd fumbling with some kind of papers, and the 3rd looking for photo boxes. The lady who was looking for the boxes turned around and saw me then turned back to what she was doing and said "what name" told her, and then she goes "oh it's not ready yet"... uh ok but why not? Told her about the text I got then she goes "yeah it was super busy today and they lost a lot of the pictures." She said it'd take about 10-15 minutes, fine ok. But this lady's attitude is something else, like it was an inconvenience for HER that I come in hours after my photos were SUPPOSE to be ready. Lady it ain't my fault your staff lost/misplaced stuff, pass your overly extra attitude on to your staff and train yourself and them better. Mind you this happens OFTEN. It isn't my first time they've "misplaced" or "lost" my photo order, and I have been here on handful of occasions where other customers have to go through the same damn thing. It's ridiculous because it seems like routine and they don't seem to think that it's a problem that they should address, or fix. On another occasion I was in here for almost an hour trying to get my photos re-printed because supposedly their own Walgreens App caused me to get multiples of 1 photo instead of double of over 14 different photos I sent it. And apparently per that SAME incompetent employee it was my fault even after showing her my exact correct order I had sent in using my order history. Long story short she was no help at all, I guess it was time for her to clock out, and go home already because she advised me someone else would come and help me, and proceeded to press the damn customer service button herself instead of waiting, and calling for another employee to come and assist me. This happened all while 2 other customers were behind me and even they were tripping. I honestly dont know how she's still employed here, but hope she improves her customer service as well as her job title. read more

Honestly, to tell you the truth the managers are lazy. I barely see any staff there to help when I have a problem finding something. Whenever staff is there to help me with my problem, they are not focused and rude. Also, this particular location is always running out of things very quickly. read more

The worst pharmacy on the island! The wait to refill your prescription is anywhere between 2-4 hours... sometimes a full day or you just have to wait to receive a text letting you know your prescription is ready. Every single pharmacist should be replaced. Ive been to longs drugs and target pharmacy and the wait is no longer than 20 mins.. every-time! Also, im prescribed adderral and they seem to run out of the 10mg constantly! Like who's in charge of restocked? Unacceptable. Never again.. taking my business to Longs Drugs.. a more reputable name in Hawaii. read more

If I could give half a star I would. Their pharmacy sucks here- and customer service needs a lot help. I had my doctor call in a prescription at 1130a I went there at 342p to pick it up at the drive through and the person helping me first off- couldn't find the prescription- waited 10 minutes- only for her to come back to tell me it wasn't ready and that that each new prescription takes about an hour half to fill. Wth?!? When does the hour and half starts?!? when the patient comes to pick up the prescription?!? Isn't this why you guys offer physicians to call in prescriptions to avoid the wait and the reason why you guys have drive through?!? Very inconvenient to your customers. read more

It's a great store , but they seem to make their own rules especially RX dept. as the other other Walgreens they all have their own set of rules one store might say yes another might say no , other than judging people the store in general is clean organized , but don't expect anyone to walk up to you and ask you if you need help....that would never happen. I was really thinking that I would have something great to say about my experience with this Walgreens. I guess it was almost too good to be true... It all started with an episode of Dr. Oz... The bf (aka favorite foodie friend) was home taking a quick rest in middle of his work day and happened to catch an episode of Dr. Oz. Now, my man is a HUGE Dr. Oz fan! "Boo, I saw blah blah blah today on Dr. Oz" or "Dr. Oz said that couples should have intercourse blah blah blah times a week" You get where I'm going with this right? Anyways, he catches a segment on alternative reliefs to manage pain. He goes on to discuss how a TENS unit might be the key to alleviating his long time battle with knee pain caused by decades of skateboarding. See, in his past life, he was a Pro-Am skater and member of the Hosoi Skate team in NYC...so all of the years of abuse caught up to him. Dr. Oz demonstrated that this Omron Electrotherapy TENS unit would possibly help him manage the pain that he has been long suffering through. Quickly therein, I hop on the interwebs to find a location that may have this lovely specimen of medical technology. Walgreens not only carries, but also has many in stock and ready for pick up! We call around to the Wahiawa location just to learn that their last unit sold a few hours ago. Gal on the phone actually said "Wow, must be something happening because you are my fourth caller looking for this item today!". (the Dr. Oz effect) In our search of other stores in the area, Walgreens.com showed 6 in-stock at the Ewa location. We called right away. Yes, they did have 6 in inventory available for $69.99 each. The clerk I spoke with mentioned that we could make the purchase online to ensure that the item was reserved for us...so we did! Confirmation in hand, 8PM pick up time...and off we went to Ewa Walgreens! Wouldn't you know it??? Walgreens must have made friends with a guy named Murphy and subscribed to his LAW... "Sure Ma'am, it shows that this item is in stock...but we cannot seem to locate it!" Are you serious?? We drove all the way here from Mills-vills to pick up an item that was marked IN STOCK but is mysteriously gone?? "Sorry Ma'am. We were mistaken." So what are you going to do to help me? "I really dont know what to tell you, Ma'am...we don't have any in stock. I dont know if I can help you." I am practically livid at this point! Who is this kid and why does he think he can call me Ma'am all the time??? I am not the one looking for the OLD MAN PAIN RELIEF APPARATUS!!!! LOL But...seriously?? Does everyone forget how to train "recovery" when dealing with customers? I asked the kid again, what can you do to help me with this issue? I drove all the way here certain that you had the item in stock. Seems your inventory is incorrect. OK...but WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO FOR ME NOW? "Ummm...I dont know, Ma'am. I guess I could maybe call around and try to find one for you at another location?" I dont think I want to do anymore driving tonight. It's getting late and I am not willing to make a drive tonight. What else can you do? "Ummm...I don't know, Ma'am. Sometimes we can order things for people. I, maybe can call the Manager and see if he might be able to order it?? I don't know... Do you really want the item?" Well, I didn't come all the way over here for nothing now did I?? OMG! I'm over it! We ended up leaving with a half empty bag of chips (we waited so long that we built up an appetite) and a 6 pack of Platinums...I needed a drink after all of this excitement tonight! Fancy-schmancy...no delivery. If they could every get it figured out, then this online order/in store pick up thing could be a real bonus. but tonight, seemed like everything was execution fail. By now, I am sure that you are emotionally invested in this adventure...Yes, we did get the electrotherapy pain device that we were looking for. I ended up picking it up at the Walgreens in Kalihi. The item was selling instore for $69.99 but the cashier that assisted me matched the price from the online store. She saved me $20 and restored my faith in Walgreens WITHOUT needing Manager approval!!! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that it is 24hours, and the place is NEW so it's CLEAN. Lots of parking regardless time of day, and all the items I NEED/WANT are IN STOCK. How RARE is that for my items to be in stock?! the sad part, the price. Luckily, I applied for the walgreens card just so i can pay that $2 less for whatever nail polish, or makeup I buy. I have some mix feelings about Walgreens. The only reason why I go here because if I need prescription meds they have a drive thru service it's convenient and I don't need to get out of my car. Also, it's just less than 5 min from my house., so yes, the convenience is there. But some of their products are expensive!!!!! Like, I could just drive to Kunia Walmart and spend $7-$8 for a DayQuil & NightQuil but here they sell it for $17!!!!!! YIKES! I was so turned off I made my husband return it. And just drive the extra mile to go to Walmart. I had to knock off 3 stars because one time my husband and I both needed prescription meds. His physician called it in at 12 noon. Called the Pharmacy automated machine and I forget exactly what it said but it was something like his prescriptions weren't ready. Fast forward same day I then unexpectedly needed prescription meds myself and the ER staff called it in about 530pm. At that time my husband kept calling to check the status on his meds. It's already need 5 hours it wasn't ready yet. We couldn't understand why. So, we waited patiently for someone to call us (the last time we had their automated machine call to let us know it was ready) I called around 8pm and again it said they were still working on it so I then wanted to speak to someone instead of the automated machine! Jaime from the pharmacy picked up and said she could get it ready in 5 minutes and that they were backed up. I appreciated her quick professional response. But to wait hours and hours for prescriptions is hmmmmm.... unexceptable... especially when It was called in at noon!!! (8 hours !) if I hadn't talked to someone directly God only when our prescriptions would be ready !! And then come to find out 1 of 2 of my husbands meds weren't even in stock..... smh. Wished someone took the time to let us know. Just some kind of customer service. That's all. So after this kind of experience I think we are gonna have all our prescriptions be called to Longs Drugs like back in the day even if they don't have a drive thru service we never had to wait hours and hours and hours for medication. The 2 stars is for the quick professional response at the pharmacy department when i called them directly. :) read more

Please keep in mind that this is a very small Walgreens with a limited selection of items to choose from. However, I would like to thank Joy for helping me the other day! I was having a bit of trouble signing up for a membership with Walgreens because the previous owner of my phone line had their account on there and she helped me set up a whole new account. When I went up to the photo area, I td the cashier I needed a passport photo, she said very loudly, "no tank tops" just like that, no explanations, no sorry no nothing, where on their website does it have a dress code. I asked the pharmacy worker if she knew where it might be and she said if we have it, it would be over there in the cosmetic area. I told her I looked for it and couldn't find it. When Walgreens first arrived in the Islands I vowed to boycott them because I saw them as a major competitor to Longs. No one was going to drive our beloved Kama'aina business. And then Longs was eventually taken over by CVS...anyway. What I love most about this Walgreens is its location and convenience. It's in the Laulani Shopping Center, which means lots of parking. Not like that icky Ewa Town Center. It's open 24 hours, so this is a huge help, especially when you've got sick children. I'll admit that I don't pay too much attention to items outside the pharmacy, but every now and then I'll notice some great deals, especially snacks, and seasonal gifts. I get the feeling that not too many people utilize the pharmacy here, because each time I visit, there is never any line. What's wonderful is that we have the drive-thru option, so there's no need to get out of your car if they've got you up and running in the system. The pharmacy and non-pharmacy staff are always happy and ready to help. Thank you Walgreens for making sure I never have to step foot in Ewa Beach Longs anymore! read more

Love going here late night for fast shopping needs. Always has a friendly staff and when it's not busy we have personal conversations to lighten up the mood for the workers. I mean late night graveyard shifts are a bummer so that's when I come in to shop a little and talk to them while cracking jokes. I love this Walgreens! I'm always greeted no matter what time I go in. The pharmacy girls are so helpful. I always find what I'm looking for. Everything is well stocked and organized. I go here if I need something rather than driving all the way to walmart. great customer service. Except for once... I was buying a fat burner. (Not for me) but the lady started asking me why I was buying it and that I was too skinny for that. Um. Can you just ring up my purchase? That was extremely rude. But that was the only incident. Oh! And apparently not all cashier's can ring up alcohol. Might be a state law but I've never come across that before until in there. read more

I love Walgreen in general but this one is a special one. Had father in law visiting from NewYork for few weeks meeting his grandchildren for the first time. I wanted to gift him photo magnet of babies but the timing I put in the order was horrible, I did a $.99 promotion on website for a magnet that usually cost $6.99 a piece, they were so backed up with order I had to either cancel the orders or gamble till the last moment he had to leave for the airport. After consulting Jamie from the photo department, though there were no guarantee that they could get in on time we decided to wait till last minute. When Jamie called announcing they had gotten more magnets and It was ready for pick up, it was an hour before he had to leave for New York. It meant so much that I was able to deliver this gift before he hopped on the plane. The manager there was so professional and very personable. I was so happy Jamie helped us out. read more

I usually come here with my wife. You can really catch a great deal here...sometimes. You have to be on the lookout and have a card (which is free). Prices change weekly and I believe liquor prices (specials) change monthly. Its Walgreens, its 24 hours, it has pretty much everything you need from TV dinners to Prozac. Just be on the lookout for their sales. They have some pretty good ones at times. read more

Nothing bad to say about this location. Pros are that it's close to home, open 24 hours, and a pharmacy on premises. Basically whenever we are in need for a late night snack, or office supplies we come here. It is always kept clean, and the customer service is always on point. Parking is never a problem, and is always well stocked with seasonal items. Since Christmas is approaching, they have their decorations and nic-nacks available for purchase. I always think of a miniature Wal-Mart whenever we come here. read more

Horrible customer service! Walked in no one at the front greeted at the door. I went straight to photo because I had to pick my 8x10 photo. I waited for 15 mins to get helped. Worst Walgreens ever. Un competent staff, attitude problems and the store was so messy! Went to this location Christmas Day to do some last minute Christmas pick ups before going to a family party and my boyfriend and I wanted to split our transaction in half. Well guess what they didn't know how to do it. The worst part is they swiped my card and my boyfriends card more than 3 times and personally I'm not okay with that. The manager said that they can't split transactions in half yet we've split transactions at every other Walgreens we've been too!!!! As the manager "tried" to help us the cashier in the back just made remarks under her breath. Give me a break, they obviously don't care about there customer service. This is by far the nicest Walgreens on island. New set up. Employees and pharmacist both had that aloha spirit. It had a wide selection from holiday toys to regular pharmacy items. The perfume sets are crazy cheap. Stop in for you holiday gifts. This is now my go to Walgreens and it's definitely not the closest one to me. read more

This is my 3rd time ordering photo prints online from this location, all 3 times this location has somehow figured out a way to screw up the order...this time I thought I learned from my mistake so I called before leaving to pick it up the associate described my order and said yes it's ready for pick up. I showed up to no one in the photo center...no big deal, then they tried giving me a standard 8x10 print. The order was for a wooden print. At this point all the people working become very confused because they do not know how to make this. And the only person who had a desire to do something was on their lunch break. The incompetence here is absurd and truly makes the convenience of this shops location invalid. Such a disappointment, I will likely never shop here again. read more

I shoulda came here first instead of longs /cvs pharmacy. Way better, faster, & cleaner than the longs /cvs in Ewa near the old mcd. Pharmacist woman was friendly & helpful even tho they didn't have the prescription for my daughter. The pharmacist helped look for gas drops for my daughter. I also was greeted when I came into the store! Great customer service. This store is always clean when I come in & is located in the new shopping area of Ewa beach shopping center. Will be coming here again for prescriptions and Walgreens is the only store that carries the gas relief drops my pediatrician recommended for my daughter read more

Anyways, doesn't really offer anything different than the other two Longs Drugs in the area other than a drive-thru pharmacy and all that club-card nonsense. Pharmacy clerk that I dealt with could take a lesson from Costco's , Kapolei pharmacy. Customer service, zero. You know one of those people that speaks nice when they are being an ass? Yah. Have not had an easy transaction in 3 attempts there since they opened because they can't figure out the insurance and it appeared to be too much trouble for her to contact the insurance company like every other pharmacy that I have dealt with will do. It's close to my home but I'll continue to drive to Costco for the pharmacy because they really try to help you at Costco and I don't need the hassle.
