I called at 10am asking if they do passport photos, the lady on the phone said of course we do just come anytime before closing. And i told her i would most likely be in later since i work late she said no problem come in before we close. I came in at 8:50pm asking about the passport photo, the manager (male w an accent) straight up told me "NOT RIGHT NOW!" I told him i had called in earlier to make sure i was able to take the picture and this guy looks at me and says we're closing soon! They close at 10pm meaning We still had an hr left!! Such poor customer service skills, and not surprised since he has so many complaints on here. PHARMACY REVIEW ONLY! This is the WORST Walgreens pharmacy EVER!!! They are ALWAYS behind. You can spend 30 min waiting to DROP OFF prescription. Employees pass by and don't say a word. You click the button and they don't even answer they just hang up on you. I am a type one diabetic so I refill my test strips and insulin every 2 weeks so I go to the pharmacy very very often. Prior to moving to granada hills, I used to go to the Walgreens on Nordhoff and Sepulveda. Like I said I got every 2 weeks and they already knew me and had my orders ready! When I transferred my prescriptions here, they always messaged me saying they didn't have enough insulin. I would get a text saying the order was ready yet when I went to pick up, it wasn't. It was put back or never actually filled! RIDICULOUS. I ended up transferring all my prescriptions BACK to north hills and even though I have to drive down there it's worth it because I know all my meds are ready. Also every single employee in the pharmacy department had an attitude problem. RETRAIN your staff please! read more

I need to find a new pharmacy. Being from Chicago I have this weird allegiance to Walgreens (I couldn't tell you why but I do). So every city that I have lived in I try to get my prescriptions filled there (Or a Duane Reade when I lived in NYC which is also owned by Walgreens). I had all my prescriptions transferred here after I just moved here from Seattle WA from another Walgreens in WA. I had new insurance from my new job...gave the pharmacist my new Insurance Card and waited on my prescriptions that I had filled via online...the Mean Pharmacist lady says that my insurance is not going through and I need to call my insurance. I asked her if she was sure because I had just called my insurance 30 minutes before I came in...she said she was sure and she said again that I would need to call my insurance company and she couldn't do anything for me and if I wanted to go ahead and take them I would need to pay full retail (to give you an idea of the "retail" cost of one of my meds is $564.00 for 30 pills). I think it is fine that she shared the realties of my insurance not coming up but hell-you work with sick people everyday! How about some empathy you mean, robotic, rude, dissmissive, crabby pharmacy technician. I understand that she probably wasn't having a fun time at work because this was at the beginning of COVID19 and people started hoarding toilet paper, medications and every sanitizing product in the store.... I walk over to the waiting area and start to call my insurance company-and I am a little annoyed and now I am on hold...then she hails me back to the cashwrap and this is all she says to me. "Can I see your card again" No please no pleasantries no manners whatsoever. I hand over the card to her she re-enters the number and she hands me back the card and the only thing she says is.... "I punched in the number wrong-your prescription will be ready in 5 minutes" No apology-nothing-I think a "hey sorry I made a mistake" sorry for the inconvenience and sorry that I am so dim-would have been appropriate-nothing no acknowledgement at all. I left with my prescription and looking for another pharmacy... Come here for so, so service and for a pharmacy that doesn't know how to read letters or numbers...and def. doesn't know how to apologize. read more

I wanted to give compliments to an employee named Nelly from Photo Department in Granada Hills, specifically at 17010 Chatsworth St, Granada Hills, CA 91344. I had came by to drop off a box to be shipped out. Later, I realized that the shipping label was meant for UPS and I got worried about losing the package. I called by noon, when Nelly told me that she realized that the label was meant for UPS when she scanned it in, and told me that she already had simply walked it over to next door Staples, who will take care of the UPS box. To me, this was above and beyond customer service. She didn't have to do it, but it she did before I even realized it. She must love what she does, because she exerts honest and friendly service. Great store... Big parking lot. They have a lot of your daily use needs, from food to toothpaste to make up... I was in last week and they had cute Christmas decorations with very reasonable prices... Workers are nice, but there aren't a lot of them around. So if you need help you have to go hunt one down yourself. Then again its Walgreens what could you really need help with! Stop by, don't be shy. I'm so disgusted and frustrated with this pharmacy. They didn't give me the needles I need for my prescription. Even though they claim they did. I let them know and they claim they are calling my doctor's office to authorize more but THREE WEEKS PASSED. I finally go to my doctors office to clarify it all and when we call Walgreens to confirm what size needles they give me so he can authorize MORE, they don't answer even though I called three times - the phone just rang and rang and rang. I finally called again and got a hold of somebody named Fatima who claims she is the pharmacist and I explained to her what the problem is. And she says the doctor ordered the wrong size needles and now she has to call him to authorize the right size. And I explained to her the reason he ordered the wrong size is because you guys were not answering. I asked her to call me back and and when she did she said two needles were available for pick up. I told her that my doctor had ordered 10 so I don't run into this problem again and she proceeded to argue with me that I only need two. I told her she has no right to tell me what I do and don't need when my doctor ordered them. And she proceeded to argue and say "do you want me to cancel this one?" with a complete attitude trying to make it more difficult for me. What kind of person is she- it's been 3 weeks? Does she understand how frustrating it is and they caused it? Move your prescription somewhere else where they pick up the phone and they actually care about your business and not ignore you or throw attitude. read more

Went yesterday to pick up a photo order I had placed online. Walked up to the photo counter where an associate sees me, then turns down the aisle in a fast attempt to avoid me. Then I go to find someone to help me where I see that same associate, another associate, and what looked like a manager laughing and chatting. I ask for help at the photo desk so the guy sighs and walks over. I'm then rudely tossed my photos, handed my receipt, then blown off while he goes back to laughing with the other 2 guys. I have a business where I have to drop off a package to FedEx every Saturday. 4th time I've gone in and there's no one to take the package, no signal to press to let them know. I resorted to pressing the button for the electronics department next to the counter. After about 4 minutes the woman at the front went over the loudspeaker to call someone to the front. Then I waited another 3 minutes before someone came out. I had a little of an attitude, but I was then met with a little attitude from the manager named America. I asked where she was and she replied "I was busy" When I told her it has been 4 straight weeks of no one at the front, she said "it's just the two of us." But.......YOURE THE MANAGER. You set the schedule. If this is above her pay grade and corporate is watching, you've dropped the ball on this location. You've lost me for life by being understaffed and hiring these two idiots. I don't need to be looked at like I'm being judged by a disappointed grandmother as I have a legitimate complain. Because that was the look. thank god for this place! It was about 4 hours after being released from surgery. After going to Target, CVS and Balboa Pharmacy I had no luck getting my pain pills. I called Walgreens and explain my problem. The tech inform me that the pills I wanted are in stock but there was a process for me to get them. ^ The up front truth was perfectly fine. Awful experience. Instead of calling my MD to verify the dosage, I was told that it's a compounded medicine and that I need to go to a specialty pharmacy. Called my doctor and was told no dosage needed. And that it is not a compound medicine. I related this information to the pharmacist and instead of again, calling to verify, kept insisting that it was a specialty medicine. A total disregard and incompetence on her part! I had came in to do a return and before going in I went online and also called regards their return policy. Just wanted to make sure they were accepting returns due to covid-19. When I asked the cash register I wanted to do a return the manager overheard me and said no, we can't do returns at this time because I had covid without even knowing me and yelled at me saying, if I wanted to do a return to go to the mall. The Indian "pharmacist" lady- what a bitch! I was just in there, with extreme pain due to an earache. I am not prone to these and had developed one earlier in the day. All I came in for was some guidance as to which ear drops/medicine I should try, and she was nothing but attitude. She was too busy and couldn't care less. I didn't need someone to coddle me, but to simply SUGGEST one of their products, and all she had for me was "take Motrin and see a doctor" with a major dose of eye-rolling. Thankfully my mother can read and had found the ear medications herself while this "pharmacist" was being the least helpful person she could be. As my other reviews would show, I am quite fair about my experiences, but this was the absolute worst! I plan on calling the store once I feel better, NO THANKS TO HER. read more

** Before I begin my review I would like to proudly state that I am an African-American female** Moving on... I enter this particular Walgreens around 5 pm after visiting the 99 cent store nearby. I was looking for some Christmas stockings for my household and they had a very poor selection so I proceeded to look for other things I may have needed, but as soon as I got to the Christmas isle security walked out(as if I was going to steel something). I proceeded to shop and the security guard just sat in front of the Isle that I was shopping in. Of course feeling RACIALLY PROFILED and UNWELCOME I grabbed what needed quickly. As soon as I got the cashier the security guard then followed me there too... is that really nessesary... She clearly saw that I was PAYING FOR MY ITEMS and is still profiling me.... I also saw her watching me in the reflection of the door as I walked out. This is there closest Walgreen's to my house. I must admit, after the Bay Area Walgreen's, it's still disappointing when I walk into that LA ones, but this one is pretty good. The site is always clean and well stocked, and most of there sales people are nice and helpful.
