There have been many issues in this pharmacy but as frustrated as I am today's experience was resolved by Casey in the pharmacy. The Pharmacy always has issues. My wife gets alerts FROM WALGREENS when our scripts are ready and sends me to pick them, and every time at least one isn't ready or is out of stock or they need to check with the doctor or insurance about something regarding it. Sigh. I get it. Insurance is complex. Prescriptions are tricky. But these are unforced errors. Don't tell me something that's untrue. Bad information is worse than none at all. read more

When the pharmacist calls in sick, does the Guilford Walgreens maybe, oh, I dunno ... do the obvious and call in a temp? NO, they shut down the entire pharmacy. For days at a time. On multiple occasions. With no warning on their website or phone system (the annoying robo-voice will still chirpily inform you that they're there today from 9-7, "and oh, by the way, they take a meal break from 1:30 to 2" - yeah, I know, lady; I've had to listen to you fake-warmly bleat that out a million times. I know your grating voice better than my own mother's. And FYI, they're NOT there today and couldn't even be bothered to update their voicemail or website). Sure, when they finally reopen you can complain to the overworked cashier, who had no part in this outrageous business decision and probably got her own hours cut at the last minute without pay, and the only thing you'll accomplish is feeling like a jerk. You can call 1-800-WALGREENS and the very nice customer relations lady will listen sympathetically and tell you it wasn't her decision either and she hopes your day gets better. Which it won't, because you've been out of your meds for three days now and you feel like death warmed over. But whoever actually MAKES the decision to simply close pharmacies rather than paying "floater" pharmacists whatever it takes to guarantee you'll have coverage when -- shocker!!! -- your regular guy calls in sick? Well, you'll never be allowed contact with that person(s) to tell them how their cynical calculation (business lost costs less than higher pharmacist pay, so closing pharmacy = maximal corporate profit) cost you three days of driving from pharmacy to pharmacy while sitting on hold and wishing the robo-voice lady would fall into a deep pit in the Earth. And so all you can do is transfer your minuscule slice of that corporate profit to CVS and leave an angry review online. And at least that's better than nothing. read more

This Walgreens is my go to for quick and easy purchases. The staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to help the customer. When you walk in the door expect to hear a friendly "Welcome to Walgreens"... and the excellent customer service does not stop there. By the beauty counter their are personal touches with a table set up... grab a hard candy and enjoy your shopping. It's refreshing to find a store that feels like the corner store where you know everyone by name. read more

I was looking for a FEDEX instore drop off location and I found this one close to home. I read a review that said the staff was rude. I overlooked it thinking anyone can have a bad day. Bad decision. The manager could have not been more mean and uncaring. She was rude and disrespectful. I was flabbergasted. She would not let me get a word in otherwise. What a verbal assault I endured.  There are many FEDEX drop off sites. Consider finding another one. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. I would still be at CVS if my insurance allowed it! I would give zero stars!

Walgreens Guilford never fails to offer sub par service every day. Aha! the drive thru looks like a great way to pick up a prescription, let me just get in line behind this truck. Fast forward to about 13 minutes ahead and I pull up to the window. Nervously tapping my steering wheel as I notice the clock is at 1:21 p.m. and I see the pharmacy closes sign from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Just under the wire the gal begins by asking me my name. I watch as she heads to the prep table and fills my daughter's script......called in by the doctor a day and a half ago. Returning to the window I cash out and as I begin to drive off I see her "rip" the blinds down covering the window signaling closed for a half hour. As I leave I hear the vehicle's horn on a steady activation as she pulls to the now closed window. There must be a better way to treat your customers.......staggering employee schedules, rotating break times, anything to avoid closing in the middle of the day for something small even as a half hour. I realize how much I treasure my prescription arrivals (by mail order) whenever I need them! read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. They call and tell you a script is ready and when you go to pick it up, it's not. So you wait. Today, they had me on hold for 56 minutes! I wanted to know when the script my doctor called in 2 days ago would be ready. 56 minutes and they tell me it's not that simple, they have to go into "THE VAULT" to see if they had my meds. They had 2 days to go to "THE VAULT"! Then they put me on hold another 5 minutes and someone else comes on and tells me the pharmacist stepped out. I lost it then. Put me on hold again and in tears I put my husband on because I couldn't deal with them any longer. He was told meds would be ready at 3. I just got a call saying SOME of my meds were ready. Because it's this Walgreens and Friday afternoon, I'm afraid to find out they don't have the meds I was calling about. It's a controlled substance and I can't have it switched to another pharmacy. The doctor has to call it in. Do not go to this pharmacy. As for the rest of this Walgreens, the last time I checked out a few things I bought, the cashier was coughing and sneezing all over the place and when I inserted my card wrong, he grabbed it and put it in himself instead of telling me to put it in the right way. He was the last person that I wanted touching my credit card. I'll never step foot in there again. read more

I switched out my prescriptions from Walgreens to CVS. This due to waiting 72 hours fill an RX for an antibiotic for my Dad, and he ended up in the ER due to delay. I also had many issues getting refills in a timely manner. One refill took five days. Today, I had an issue at Walgreens just buying simple things.My dad, age 87 sat in the car while I shopped for him. The manager would not work with us , as I had dad's Credit Card, and Dad was in the car. The manager was not very understanding and yet this matter could easily be managed by Walking out to the damn car and asking for ID. Handicapped Access ? Walgreens is not a place to shop if you get old. read more

I am a physician and consider this pharmacy to have the worst customer service and overall management that I have ever seen. They are grossly understaffed. There is routinely many people in line for the pharmacy. They notify a customer for a time to get a prescription and upon finally getting to the counter to be served, are as likely to inform the customer that they dont have the stock or that there is a delay as to fill it. I mentioned management. The OTC drugs are frequently out of stock. Unless you are masochistic, you can do better as a customer. read more

I agree with another reviewer regarding the robot like cashier. Apart from his sincerely robotic demeanor and his inability to even say hello the store functions well enough. I don't have particularly high standards. The pharmacy however is a different story. Save for one pharmacy rep, the entire staff is surly, even openly hostile with customers. I am writing this just after switching pharmacies after experiencing problems every single time I have to refill one. The submissions keep slipping into the ether. Every time I have to place multiple follow up phone calls. I just can't do it any longer I have zero confidence in the pharmacies abilities nor do I have hours to devote to getting even one refilled. I'm not exaggerating, hours have at times have been devoted to the filling of a script. read more

This is actually my very first time reviewing on Yelp. I was looking up the Guilford Store info for a photo order and saw the previous reviews, and quite honestly I was appalled! Calling a cashier robot-like is actually bullying in this situation. I know the cashier she is describing and he is above and beyond competent. Always willing to help and is really quite quick ! Our society should be inclusive for all, and she has most probably never worked in a retail situation to begin with. Furthermore I love shopping at this store in general. All of the staff is so very helpful and friendly. The photo specialists go out of there way to help in any way they can! Lastly, I'm actually really disappointed bc I have used this particular pharmacy at Walgreen's in Guilford for the last two years and this year my Insurance is forcing us to switch back to CVS. I had used CVS previously and thought the pharmacy staff was so much more helpful and friendly at this particular Walgreen's. read more

They didn't explain their policy and would not let me return my prescription even though it was not even opened. They told me that I could return it for a different brand and did the opposite. This was not covered by my insurance and I am having to pay $30 on something I should be able to return. I would give them 0 stars if I could. read more

Two young women in the photo department were extremely helpful to us when we came in with some crazy ideas that we dind't know how to accomplish. They figured out how to do it, cut things to size for us, and were very patient when we changed our minds several times. We really appreciated their help. read more

The girls behind the counter in the pharmacy this morning were uncaring, snotty and nasty. The pharmacist, Clare, spent the entire time on the phone complaining about how tired she was and how busy it was....I was the ONLY one at the counter. They checked my refill 2 weeks ago and said all was approved if I picked it up after the 19th. I went in today, the 22nd and the discount card will not apply and once again they are too busy to call and find out why. I asked "you are busy I am the only one here" and was told it is Christmas. I will be switching all my scripts across the street or to Big Y. The pharmacist "VP" is wonderful but I cannot always go when he is there. read more

The worst drug store in Guilford. The service at this Walgreens has gone downhill so far, so fast, I'm switching to the CVS after this prescription refill. I was literally on hold for 25 minutes waiting to speak to the pharmacy because I didn't have the prescription number for a refill. Seriously. I even had a family member call from another phone to see if there were people actually working there, and they were. When I go to the drive thru to pick up prescriptions I shut off my car because they are so very slow and rude. I'm sorry for VP because he's the best pharmacist I've ever known, but the rest of the staff is so bad that one person can't make up for it. read more
