So my friend just had surgery and her pain is so bad that she goes through her medicine very fast. She had a really bad fall and just got out of surgery and the medicine she got before surgery was supposed to last longer but it didn't. She tried getting more from this pharmacy but they seem to think that since she went through them so fast that she is now flagged as a pill drug dealer! She is in so much pain that she cries! She can't sleep much due to the PAIN! She wouldn't deal pills! THANKS WALGREENS for NOT helping my friend! NEVER going to do business with you again! YOU CAN GO KICK ROCKS! This is in reference to the pharmacy and drive-thru part of the pharmacy. I have waited to review this location since I have tried to give them multiple chance since they are my local pharmacy and drive-thru. Each time it gets worse not having my prescriptions ready when they were ordered 5 days prior and I received email confirmation that my scripts are ready and they really aren't. To them being closed for a hour during the regular business hours for lunch. I get that you need to take a lunch break but there is this thing called taking shifts for the break. I will be just sticking to my old faithful of the Walgreens in Westbourgh. read more

Put me on hold forever, when someone else picked up the phone after 13mins, she claimed she didn't know I was on hold and she claimed there was just her and the other person working in the pharmacy, neither of them answered my call at first and put me on hold. I absolutely love this Pharmacy! I switched from the horrible service at Rite aid to this one and it is so much Better! They actually care about you and I haven't had 1 problem. This walgreens has the worst service. There never seems to be anyone at the counter, or not enough people at the counter. I have been there numerous times and have had to wait with one or two other people in line and no other employee opens up a register, I don't mind waiting but waiting for a long time sucks. read more

But they really should sell frozen peas. I mean they are a pharmacy and they have a small frozen food section. I was looking for frozen peas because the ice pack I bought there is so stiff it doesn't do any good. There are several locations of this drugstore that have saved me several times with the great hours they have and my infrequent need to make special errands there. Whereas some drugstores are not the same depending upon the location and locale, neighborhood and so forth, each Walgreens is quite similar with the same type of service with an excellent attitude all their employees have, and you do not need to drive up right out front in your Ferrari to get service here; the help are all very nice people, willing to help and knowledgeable about their goods in stock. I remember when they were still building this place, it seemed like only yesterday. I finally had a chance to make a trip over to this location. I had to pick up a couple things and this was just down the street from the house. Its located on a small corner across from Safeway and small little plazas. I didn't notice any parking lot, I probably wasn't paying attention but we parked right on the street. This Walgreen's is a smaller location but still had everything of course. We came early in the morning so everything was still neat and tidy. As far as employees, I really didn't see much except for at the registers. This location i have no complaints on, easy to find things and they had some cute Christmas decor out, gave me some ideas. read more

The pharmacy is never prompt in filling prescriptions and the pharmacy employees are rude. I was asked to wait for my prescription for 15 minutes. I didn't mind but when my name was called and I walked to the counter I was told I'd have to wait an additional 30 minutes because the pharmacist went to lunch. I was sitting in the pharmacy waiting room and voiced my aggravation but left because there was nothing more I could do. I'd like to stop everything I'm doing when I'm at work in order to eat lunch. read more

So far, I've had absolutely no complaints. I definitely prefer it to the Wesborough Walgreen's. I've never been in yet ( five times ) that I haven't found it well stocked. The pharmacy has been extremely competent with very friendly staff. What really impressed me is that I needed Hibiclens in a large size ( the smaller one was $13 ) and the pharmacist located one four times larger for just double the price. I thought that was especially considerate since I am now a retiree on a very limited pension. read more

After reading the other negative reviews on the slow pharmacy turnaround, I feel the need to write. I'm giving it two stars because the pharmacy staff is nice as can be, but somehow their delivery is extremely delayed compared to other pharmacies. I've never experienced one this slow and I've experienced many! I believe the staff isn't getting the support they need from management and I will be reaching out to upper management to see what is causing this. I just dropped off a prescription at 5:30 and was told it would take an hour and a half to fill it - that is unacceptable. I urge you all who have had similar experiences to contact the manager. Maybe together we can inspire the company to give these poor people the resources they need to turn around the medicine in a timely manner. When you're sick - you can't wait like that. They've repeatedly told me prescriptions would be ready and then not had them ready. It's a big deal when it's medication for children in pain. I've also waited at the drive through for 25 minutes (not exaggerating) before someone spoke to me. Then they told me to drive around to the back of the line because they were sure people were waiting. Multiple cars had gotten in line and left because it took too long, but none were behind me. They've also told me they were out of meds they promised they could fill for me, only to have a separate worker find my prescription while one is telling me that they're out of the drug. They do have a few competent workers (all male for some reason). If you want a prescription and see all female staff behind the counter, you might as well turn around and leave. The best way to summarize: I lived in apartments 2 blocks away and chose to use Daly City's pharmacy instead of this one. read more

Although the website now allows you to order a cd with up to 500 photos on it when checking out it charges an additional charge for each cd. We have nearly 850 photos which required 2 separate orders and instead of 6.99 per cd they were now $34.00. I can't believe the website is so bad as you have to create different orders for each cd order over 500 photos. This store assured us they could burn the cds. We went to the store and they said they could not burn CD's. read more

When calling Palmetto Walgreen's to request prescription refills, it is a must to follow thru the next day. When there is a multi-day delay (80% of the time), I call the doctor's office only to find that Walgreens has actually NOT submitted the "fax request." But, on the bright side, I am still thrilled to have a modern retail/pharmacy in Pacifica. read more

Please do not ever use the "drive thru" service at this location as those working the window do not have the presence of mind to tell the customers with Rx "issues" to please come inside the store or at least pull aside in order to resolve their insurance coverage problem, or whatever the problem may be, so that the majority of us who just want to pull through and pick up our Rx can get in and get out quickly- the quintessential reason for having "drive thru" service in the first place. It really pains me to write this review being a pharmacist myself who needs regular refills for chronic meds - to bad mouth my own profession - but after sitting in line yet again for 30+ minutes I can totally see why so many people dread going to their local pharmacy. That being said, there is one particular individual (whom I will not name but will say is a male), that is ALWAYS rude, condescending and otherwise not a very pleasant individual. This rating is for the pharmacy. I take a medicine that is not mainstream and now is frequently back ordered. Several times I have come to pick up a prescription only to find that it is a partial refill because it's all they have. When I question this, I am told I could call other pharmacies to see if they have it and they will transfer the prescription. This is really BAD customer service. They should either notify me that it's a partial refill/ and or they should call around to see if other pharmacies have it. To pay $11.99 for 5 pills without warning me is highly unethical! I really would like to keep my business in Pacifica but it may not be possible. read more

This has by far, been one of the worst pharmacy's I've had to use! I say had to use because it's the closest pharmacy to my house and it has a convenient drive thru! :) My problem is that they sometimes have these floater pharmacists and when they bring those floaters in they seem to not know or understand what they are doing! First of all, one of the floaters was supposed to call me if there was any problems with my prescription and when there was a problem with my insurance and the coverage of the medication they never even called me to tell me that the medication wasn't covered. NO, they just put it back on the shelf and I guess decided to just wait to see if I would eventually ask about it. When I did ask about it they never even apologized! Then they said they would contact my doctor to have him change the prescription , butt after not hearing from them for a week, I go over there and I'm told that it hasn't been done yet! Really?? So now I've waited for over a week and a half and still no medication! I have had nothing butt problems with the floaters at Walgreens pharmacy. So If you really need that prescription and need it fast then don't take it here! This is the worst Walgreens pharmacy I've been to! :( They are terrible at call backs & following up with their patients. For that I give them one star. read more

There's nothing inherently wrong with the service here, but I really hate the drive thru system. Specifically, the volume of the speaker is so low I need to turn off the engine of my car to hear the associate. Imagine ordering at McDonald's drive thru and the associate is whispering on the other end. For pharmacy pick-ups, I'd rather much walk in instead. read more

I took a roll of film to develop there. Was waiting at the service table for seven minutes and not once did the photo employee ask me if I needed assistance. It was a Filipino girl named Christine. She just ignored me. The other staff members were just as bad with the ignoring of customers. Finally I got fed up and had to raise my voice. She was so unorganized and she clearly had no idea what she was doing. She was also messing up on developing the film of people before me. Normally It is a one hour photo, but I had to wait 2 1/2 hours because she was so slow. Finally I went to pick up my film, and found out she messed up my photos as well. And 8 photos were just completely gone. I will never come here again. read more

Mostly a good store and I have had good experiences with the pharmacy until recently. They close for lunch at the pharmacy - very frustrating as this is the time when I can swing by for a prescription - it seems like they could stagger the lunches so at least one pharmacist is on duty during the day. Also, a pharmacist named Dylan (or something similar) has terrible customer service skills - he is rude, eats or chews gum while talking on the phone with customers, and is generally dismissive and not helpful. Veronica however, was great. If I have to deal with Dylan again, I'll probably just switch to a different Walgreens - he's that annoying. read more

This review is specifically about the pharmacy. While I have been using this Walgreen's for a while because it is close, I have very serious concerns about the main female pharmacist in charge. She has consistently been unfriendly to me and others - just a very unpleasant type of person who makes you feel like you're intruding - but my bigger concern is that she does not take the time to properly explain medications and doctor instructions. It might be her poor english, but in all honesty she does not even try. Be very concerned if you are taking serious medication and want a pharmacist you can rely on. read more

First time visit to this Pharmacy and wow I've never seen a pharmacy is such disarray. Well it started out Ok. They have this neat text messaging system that lets you know when your prescription is ready. So the day after I dropped off my prescription, on Wednesday, they sent me a text that they had a partial prescription ready for me and that they had to order the rest. Not a problem I thought. Well, a couple of days go by and I hear nothing. So I figured they should've had by Sunday so I went in. Well, I'm standing in line and the three people working the pharmacy are busy searching everywhere for a drive through prescription which they were looking for. They looked and looked. They never did find it and offered the customer a partial prescription for their thyroid problem. I'm not so sure I would want these people loudly declaring my medical issues. I was still standing at the pole not at the counter. So it was my turn at the window. They took my name and started to look for my prescription. They asked me to take a seat. A little while later the person that waited on me, came out of the pharmacy to talk to another customer. She then turned to me and said "have you been helped?" I said yes and she asked for my name again. They are obviously having a rough day I thought. So they called me to the window they had my prescription ready, but the price was not right. Ding, I get a text telling me my prescription is ready. So they checked my ins card and determined that the they had taken down the wrong info when I dropped off the prescription, and they had to look it up again, they asked me to take a seat again. So later on again they called me to the window and they told me they do not accept two different insurances. I being retired military had a secondary ins. through the military. They then told me I had to pay the remaining balance. Well this being my first visit here I wasn't aware that Walgreens has this policy. Why didn't they tell me their policy when I gave them both insurance nformation when I dropped it off???? So long Walgreens Pharmacy, Back to Rite Aide I go. read more
