The store phone system is absolutely terrible and seems like it's designed for you not to be able to talk to a real person. If you do manage to get through to talk to someone in the store, the phone will have you on hold endlessly because no one working there will pick up the phone. I have a serious prescription I needed same day and the pharmacy didn't contact me to say they filled it and now I'm forced to go without it in extreme post surgery pain all night because they don't care about their customers and have ridiculous pharmacy hours. read more

Received a text from Walgreens. "Your prescription is ready, come pick it up". Took lunch, drove to Walgreens, and was told, "oh, sorry, the pharmacists is on lunch, we can't release your prescription". Mind you, this is at 1:45 pm on a Wednesday. When I asked about the text, they said, "oh, the text is generic, that doesn't mean it's releasable, just ready". So, "your scrip is ready" means that IF you are lucky enough to guess when the pharmacist take their lunch, then you can pick up your meds. If you guess wrong? "did you want to come back in a half an hour?" Nope. I am now in the market for a decent pharmacy near my house. read more

Beware of condescending pharmacists at the consultation window. No matter how grave or minimal the issue is, people who go in for a consultation are there because they need help. Pharmacists who try to dismiss the issue and speak to you in a condescending manner should have no place in healthcare. i strongly suggest all patients being their issues elsewhere, where there are individuals who really care. read more

I wanted to confirm that the ingredients in a lotion recommended by my dermatologist. Since the lotion listed the ingredients with a different technical name, i asked the head pharmacist what the ingredients are used for. He was very rude and disrespectful. I'm not in the habit of writing negative reviews. I'm not going to change this pharmacist who talks down to women and dismisses them when they ask intelligent questions he can't or doesn't want to take the time to answer. I can only move my prescriptions away from this Walgreens and work with pharmacies who treat people, all people with respect and without prejudice. Which I've done. read more

Teresa moved to another Walgreens but we used drive up for my daughter and received the same great service. Highly recommend and if dropping off they always remind lunch time if picking up your 1pm. This pandemic is causing lots problems but drive up service was less than 5 minutes for dropping off and picking up! read more

Zero stars. Okay fine one. Do not go here after sundown... The weirdos start rolling in!! This parking lot is terrifying. One man heckled me from the door on the way out all the way to my car, then kept standing there while I put my baby in her car seat. Not sure why Walgreens is allowing these people to hang out at their entrance! Secondly, the Leah lady behind the photo counter was beyond rude to me. She was just standing there so I nicely asked her if she happened to know how much longer my pictures would be. The computer gave me a time of 8:12pm but it was already past that. She rudely replied with "I have orders ahead of you still!" So I told her i didn't mind waiting, but was just wondering if she happened to know how much longer it might be. They also don't sell any alcohol at this location ether which completely makes sense considering the abundance of homeless people and criminals that hang out around this parking lot. Man.. I haven't been to this area in a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised to see the old building that was here torn down to make way for this brand new Walgreens. Great use of this oddly shaped property! I only stopped in here briefly to buy a bottle of water while hanging out with a good friend today and one of the staff went well over the top in helping me locate the best purchase for my money. I was shocked at how friendly, pleasant and quite helpful this young girl was, regrettably I did not get her name. :-( However, when I am back down that way with my friend again I will go out of my way to find out her name so I may then add it to this review. . This is by far the BEST experience I have ever had at ANY Walgreens and I was only in there for a couple of minutes. Sat on hold for 20 min while a guy checked to see if they had a certain medication. Finally gave up and decided to drive there. No one was even in the pharmacy it was a ghost town. When I told the lady what happened she just stood up for the man telling me he can't disclose that medication over the phone. Wish he would have said something while I was on hold for 20 min. I've seen busier pharmacies get things done faster. Later cancelled my order due to not being able to call dr to confirm. Pharmacist Babek M - who has been complained about before - should lose his job. He is rude and nasty, actually told my son to leave the pharmacy because they don't take his insurance - and never come back. Then when I came in, he kept repeating "have a nice day" like 100 times. Why is this nut still working here? he's been noted as being horrible for over a year. I complained to corporate. But basically Walgreens has lost my business for all time, and I will go out of my way to tell my friends the same thing - and I'm considering legal action, frankly. I work in customer service and I GET IT 100% when we have bad days but...DEAR LORD help this walgreens!!! I only came here because my usual CVS across the street ran out of tamiflu (medication)..It was pretty awkward hearing other customers say "Wow cvs has way better customer service..etc." and hearing the pharmacist argue with the techs that were helping her fill out the prescriptions. Its not even that I have to wait an hour now, its more of the interactions I had witness. This Walgreens has excellent selection of product, but that's nothing unique because most all Walgreens are well stocked. The issue with this Walgreens is the staff. They are unhelpful and very morose. Especially the balding man and overweight, dark haired woman who regularly check people out. I assume they're both managers. I'll eventually edit this and add their names when I revisit(it's sadly the closest Walgreens). These people are so rude to customers and their attitudes suck. I have observed on multiple occasions how they interact with people. They are clearly miserable and trapped and need to find new jobs. I feel sorry for them. read more

Walgreens at Sepulveda and Maple has a customer relations problem in the pharmacy. Pharmacy staff are nice enough but don't care about customers. Phone calls and computer screens take priority over a in person customer. Went for a flu shot around 10am yesterday. I was told that they only have 1 pharmacists at that time so it might take 20 minute wait. She suggested I return in the afternoon after 1:30pm. Okay, I get it, 1 doing the work of 2. Retuned around 3:30 for almost a hour wait. When I finally got my shot that pharmacist offered no apology for the wait until I mentioned that I wasn't happy. Totally clueless. read more

Totally brand new and sits right on top of the island in the middle of that crazy intersection that connects Redondo Beach with Lawndale. It looks like a small warehouse and I thought is was cute that they added a hometown element to the store by selling both Lawndale and Redondo Beach t-shirts and hoodies. They have random items too. For instance, I bought a $10 dollar keyboard their and my friend picked up a Jesus Christ and Mary Mother of Jesus hologram. read more

Everybody is really friendly here, especially the pharmacists, which is really rare. Most pharmacists i come across, have a very negative attitude. The employees here are the exact opposite, very welcoming. Which is why I choose to keep coming here even though I moved across town. read more

Worst customer service. Lady cut in line and employee rang her up without saying a thing even though myself and the other customers who were already in line were upset. This pharmacy is an absolute train wreck. They had one guy who was amazing but have replaced every single person with the most incompetent people I've ever seen. In the past month (I'm there once a week) they have given me TWO medications incorrect. One at the wrong dose, one was the ENTIRE wrong medication. I've had to ask them to send prior authorizations to doctors offices and refill requests... never have I gotten lash back in this before. Now they just tried to make me pay $55 more for a medication saying it was correct and when I pulled the information up on my phone, suddenly the problem was solved... they are LAZY!! I'm searching out another nation wide pharmacy and changing immediately. read more

This pharmacy is consistently terrible. They consistently tell you your prescription is ready, and when you show up, they pretend to (1) have no idea what you are talking about, (2) say they don't have the medication [then why call me and say it's ready] (3) have never filled the prescription, so if you say you'll come back in an hour, they still won't have it ready (4) fraudulently tell you they will receive the medication on Wednesday, and when you come back, make you wait for it. I don't know what their problem is, but they don't seem to care if they have a problem. If you're waiting in a line of one person, they have no problem gabbing among each other about personal things, and avoid dealing with customers. Talk less, work more. I hate this place. read more

I will not return to this pharmacy. My doctor called in a prescription for me. When I arrived the next day, it was ready, but the tech did not have my insurance and seemed flustered about what to do. I gave him the information but he was lost. He asked the pharmacist to help but she was lost. Another technician who acted like he was in charge came in and was so rude I was shocked. I assume they don't want my business. I finally just left. I called my doctor and asked them to call in the prescription elsewhere. They can keep their prescription. If they don't need my business, someone else does. read more

Some of the service here can be slow, but they are all always friendly. This Walgreens seems to be well kept, it's always clean whenever I visit. It's located in a slightly odd corner by itself but it has great amount of parking and easy to get in and out. read more

This Walgreen is convenient for me with the addition for their private lot. The store is well stock and over price on most of their items. My visit was to buy sunscreen. I bought a Walgreen brand for $7 for less then 10oz is only a couple of cents less then bigger brands. The check out was less then 10min . The cashier was friendly and efficient. read more

Stopped at this location right after work only because they are convenient but everytime I visit they are so rude and mean. I practically stood in the pharmacy line to fill a Rx for my sixteen ur old son and there was no one else in line ....No One and they never assisted until 10 min had passed. Then he says he doesn't understand a simple Rx, I say forget the tooth paste prescription I'll fill it at our normal Walgreens and walk to buy my lotion and the cashier tries to charge me full price for a sale item. I can't remember the number I registered with back in 2008 and don't have the card so she said "Oh well" you pay full price $9 vs 5.89. I told her I've been to so many Walgreens and cvs which they will honor their sale price even if you forget your card/number for sale Items or just offer you another card. She says ohhhh no you pay full price. The service at this Walgreens is horrible, I should've learned my lesson in 2015 when I was pregnant and they couldn't get their stuff together in the pharmacy department. It's sad that this Walgreens in the heart of Redondo would have such bad service. I won't even send my patients their way for prescriptions as their service is horrible and unacceptable. The pharmacy manager was present as I stood there for 10 minutes and never had her cashier take me for the Rx drop off she just kept looking over but made herself available for the customers who walked up to her window for questions about over the counter items they needed to buy because they didn't have a prescription for the items needed. I am giving 5 stars, mainly because of Joseph, who works in the pharmacy. He's a really friendly guy, who is very courteous, and helpful. Plus he always remembers exactly who I am, and greets me by name. If there's any small issues, he works it out for me, and gets me on my way with what I came in for. Other people could really learn a thing or two about customer service from him. Nicole is also very friendly and helpful! These two always make my visits to the pharmacy a pleasant one. There are some other friendly, helpful people there too, but I'm not sure of their names. read more

This Walgreens sucks ass. The people that work there never seem to know anything about anything. They also love to argue with you about things for some reason. Even the managers seem clueless. It actually astounds me that there is a store with so many incompetent individuals under the same roof. I had a manager tell me when explaining something about an item that said I would get 5,000 points if I bought so and so items, that it meant I would get 50¢ off. I'm pretty good at detecting BS. And for what it was, it seemed like an incredibly lame offer. So I double checked, and found out it actually meant I would get $5 off. And of course, they didn't even have the item that I would need to complete my purchase and get the refund. I only cared because these were items you don't buy too often and they are not cheap. So, if you can save five bucks this time, with these items it would have been great. Oh well! And I can't stand people who don't know the answer to a question, but rather than just say, "I don't know" or "I am not sure, but I would be happy to find out for you" they instead feed you a complete line of made up crap so you will just be on your way. And it's obvious crap. News flash! It's OK to not know everything in the world. Just show me some respect and be honest. Because it's insulting to ask a simple question and stand there while you know you are clearly being fed a line of total BS. Especially by a manager. Then tonight the cashier would not let me input my phone number for my Walgreens card. So, I am pretty sure I paid more than I needed to for an item. It kind of blew me away. I also used to get my prescription filled here. One of the pharmacists was really nice. This was a couple years ago. However, the same day I was asking about the points in the story above, I had asked the pharmacist a question in regards to it as well, and she was extremely rude about it. As if I dared to ask her a question about a product that is in a place right in front of her pharmacy while I'm not filling a script. I don't know man.... This store is extremely whack. The only reason they are getting two stars instead of one is because it's clean. Though I have never been in their restrooms. And I'm sure one or maybe two people have a clue there. Though I am yet to meet them. I don't think I will either since I never go here any longer except under extreme circumstances. There is a Target right around the corner, a 7-11 across the street, and plenty of other drug stores to shop at in the neighborhood. No need to waste your time going to this Walgreens.
