I came to pick up medication for my grandmother. Location very busy for pharmacy needs. Somehow they only have one cashier at the Pharmacy area while there are a lot of pharmacist behind the counter not helping that one cashier. Always a long line waiting even if your medications are ready! It have your basic essential needs here. The location is the only thing I like about it, they have parking structure. It tends to get pack too. I would recommend going to another pharmacy but come here for essentials. Take the extra five to ten minutes to drive to your nearest Walmart :)

The sign said it all both in English and Spanish, no more Covid Testing, the shelves were also half empty. Did they forgot to restock? Were their truck drivers on strike? Non of those testing sites working on weekends? All they care were making profits. Oh the testing is by appointment only, but we do sell testing kits if you need one, facepalm

Disgusting!!!!! I am appalled that a store will allow a dog OFF leash inside where food is sold. This dog was NOT a Service Animal! When I spoke to the store manager he "Scott" stated "as long as they behave we don't care"!!! First off it's the law in California that dogs are always leashed! Secondly it is against the law to allow a "pet" in a store unless it is a certified service animal....... Needless to say this is so disgusting but this store doesn't care...it alone was gross to walk in to...now I see why it smells like dog urine!

First time here. There is street parking and there is a covered car port parking area as well. It's your average stalked Walgreens with all your essentials-toiletries, snacks, toys, cleaning supplies etc. I had to pick up a prescription for someone, the pharmacy was very busy but the wait wasn't too long at all as long as your prescription is ready for pick up. Staff at the pharmacy and the regular check out area were very friendly. The only reason I would come back is because I didn't like the surrounding area much and I didn't like being bothered by strangers as I am entering and exiting the business.

Customer service is great, only problem is the wait time when paying.

The sign at the entrance says "Walgreens 24 Hour Pharmacy" but the pharmacy closes at 9pm. False advertising of the most obvious kind.

Way better than than previous pharmacies we've used. This store gets a bad rap because of all the homeless looting the store - emptying its shelves. It's a daily battle, they've tried security at the doors, but for whatever reason they don't have it anymore. They should permanently close off the door on Kettner and create a booze only counter with the liquor behind it, not accessible to the customer unless they are buying it at the booze counter.

It appeared that the wide variety of selection was set for libations rather than other items in the store. For the footprint of the store it seems that there just wasn't enough room in house to accommodate that. Like I said, because the libations took up a solid two aisles. That meant that the rest of the aisles were left to have items fight for counter space. Unfortunately on both of my visits here I did not find what I needed and had to venture elsewhere to get those items. Customer service wasn't too bad here, they were attentive to the needs of those in the store, but at some points they appeared to be bothered to help you at first. It is what it is. I view this more as a community convenience store than a Rite Aid. I suppose if you live in the neighborhood it is better than trekking to wherever to get a quick item.

Location/Ambiance: *Convenient downtown location, about a 14-minute walk from Cortez Hill and close to the trolley and Ross. *Be aware of your surroundings as there are many suspicious eyes, transients, and homeless people. *Prices are a little friendlier than 7-Eleven and some other neighborhood markets. *Larger, well-stocked, and reasonably priced especially when using your CVS coupons! *The outside is worn and not particularly inviting, but the inside is bigger than expected, and what I call "organized chaos." *Most items are locked up especially the snacks I frequently buy. Felt like a treasure hunt looking for my usuals. *There was a good selection of snacks, drinks, and CVS essentials, though the grocery section is limited and some of the aisles felt cramped. Customer service: *Staff were friendly (one cashier and one I saw on the floor). They were quick to assist me. *Self-checkout was easy (3 machines); stress-free and in/out in 10 minutes. It's the best option if you're in a rush. Overall: *Nothing special, but it's convenient, generally well-stocked, and gets the job done. Not the prettiest CVS, but useful when you need something close by.

I was visiting Coronado and walking with a friend along Orange. Since it was summertime, it was…read morequite hot, and at one point, I needed to grab a cold bottle of water. Then, I happened upon Walgreens! I was delighted to find regular Walgreens prices right on Coronado, where I expected a cold bottle of water to be $5 or more. I ended up getting two large bottles for $3 using a Walgreens deal. I just used some W Cash Rewards that had been saved for quite some time, and now, when checking out, I have to start earning my W Cash Rewards from scratch again. I enjoy the occasional visit to Walgreens, where I typically see it as a good excuse to stock up on paper goods, such as Kleenex or facial tissues, which I often run out of at home. I found multiple options for brands, box sizes, ply count, and whether they were soft or had lotion on them. I do enjoy just walking around the store as you never know what you will find. While walking around this time, I noted that this store regularly keeps the aisles looking good and the items in stock, though I also saw employees restocking items and changing price tags in various aisles. When I was checking out, there was one person ahead of me, but the line moved quickly, and once I entered my phone number for my rewards program, my transaction went through quickly, too. The W Cash Rewards program is free to sign up for and easy to use. You earn back 1% in Walgreens Cash rewards storewide, even at the pharmacy, and 5% in rewards on Walgreens branded products. There are also sales prices automatically unlocked and other savings coupons, where you can earn reward dollars by making a purchase after selecting a given coupon. Sometimes the coupons are on a receipt from your most recent purchase. You can also find other coupons on the app or the website (or in a booklet or ad when you arrive at the store). While I do not frequent Walgreens as often as other drug stores, I often wonder why, when I happen to visit a Walgreens store, as it's so easy to shop there, and my experiences are often very pleasant. Though on Coronado, I would consider my visit to Walgreens to be a big success!!

I made eye contact with one of the store associates at the register and instead of acknowledging me, he looked back down. I knocked on the door and he just shook his head at me, indicating he wouldn't be opening the doors. I took a picture of the hours on the window and that prompted him to come outside. He informed me they had had a power outage and were attempting to get the registers back up and working. Understandable. I said thanks and walked back to my car, only to watch more customers do exactly what I had just done and stand by the doors that didn't open. What does it take to write on a piece of paper that the store is currently closed due to a power outage and put it up on the doors? Lights are on, employees are in there staring at you through closed doors.... This place is mismanaged and the employees are SO lazy. I've been in the store many times waiting in a line to check out where one employee is at a register and the other employees are hanging around. Keep in mind they have 4 registers. It might be time to start thinking about implementing self check outs. This store is always very stocked and has a lot of options which makes it a good choice, but I would avoid it if I could. I drove across the street after this to Vons and got what I needed.

Then I went back to the pharmacy to ask for help from the pharmacists regarding several post-op wound care items that I needed to buy, and was unsure about which item to choose. Although there were 3 people working in the pharmacy at that time, and there was no one waiting in line, no one had time to come out of the pharmacy to help me. They did tell me what isle I could look in, and I eventually found the items I needed by myself. But it just seemed strange that they couldn't come out to help a customer, even when there was no one else in the store. On the good side, this is a convenient location to downtown San Diego, near the Southwest corner of Balboa Park. Free customer parking in their lot.

I have literally never met more incompetent people in my life. They said it "somehow got deleted" and they have to pull it from the archives but they don't know how long it will take. I talked to the manager and he just said "it's just our system" and walked away. Most dismissive manager, can't think of anyone more unfit. It was a few mins per my parking timer. So much banging. Since we already found and bought what we looked for here at the local organic specialty grocery (7 mins away via GPS) we'll stay going to the grocery to restock and not restock at whatever this is.
