Very bad coustomer service, they not return Covid test, they so rude, I'm buying yesterday

This pharmacy used to be the best run one I had transferred from Rite Aid and for years I had been very happy at the walgreens corner Coldwater Canyon and Magnolia but since 6 months they changed pharmacists and it has been the worst nightmare of my life People are sitting at the drive thru for hours and when you go in the long lines are very painfully and slowly moving You can tell the new pharmacist and staff are so overwhelmed and panicked Terrible experience altogether Lines are long either at the drive thru or in store and they are soooo confused read more

Helpful staff. Often under staffed, but the managers there's are helpful and understanding. This is my go-to pharmacy.

I would give this store less than one star if I could. A new cashier told another cashier that he was to call a manager for gift card transactions. The second cashier said that they themselves could take care of it, leading me to believe he was a manager. the transaction was for $500 in gift cards, but the system allowed my card to purchase only $300 worth of gift cards. Never the less, Walgreens charged me $500 for a total of $300 in gift cards. How can that happen?? I asked for a manager who came out seeming to be annoyed and he told me that the system only allows for the purchase of $300 in gift cards and it may be a limit from my bank. Essentially, he told me nothing we did not already surmise. He was dismissive and reluctant even to look at the transaction. The ONLY person who tried to give me more information was a third cashier who knew more than the manager was willing to share. Disgusting customer service. read more

I have an issue every time I get my rx filled here, which i suppose it's my fault for continuing to come back. I will be inconveniently getting next month filled at a location across town to avoid the hassle. the first issue last month was having two different techs call me regarding my incorrect insurance information. after the second call, i was told to come after 4pm. at 5pm, they said it wasn't ready because of an insurance issue.... the same issue we already resolved twice around 3 and 315, respectively. I had to wander around the store for 20 minutes. this time, i had an issue refilling my rx online, so I called the pharmacy directly. the woman on the phone assured me that she had it correctly input and that i could come to pick it up anytime after 530. well, it's 7:45 and I have now been waiting here 20 minutes (since I got to actually speak to someone), after being told there was nothing in the computer for me to pick up today. totally laughable at this point. I think the cherry on top of this is that the gentleman behind me ALSO had a communication issue. he was told his rx couldn't be picked up until the 25th of the month, in which he informed her that his doctor had already called earlier to approve of an early refill due to his leaving town for the holiday. do we need a new system or some extra training maybe? either way.. i'll be going somewhere else. read more

This Walgreens is so-so. Not as bad as some. Walgreens coupons on the app bug me so much because they are so difficult to figure out and use, same with the points you can use as money when you get enough. I've basically given up on most coupons because they hardly ever work, and employees don't know how to handle them either. They always tell you to call an app customer service line. No thanks. I am so happy I discovered this pharmacy. After going to 5 different pharmacies for a simple pain prescription for my tooth ache I finally got some help here at Walgreens! I went to CVS and was treated horribly -- then RiteAid -- even worse as well as a few independent pharmacies. Luckily I never get sick -- but if I do I'm coming back here. My pharmacist JAMES could not have been nicer. And I forgot my prescription card & he was kind enough to look it up with my insurance card & Drivers License. What a nice guy. Does NO ONE WORK HERE?? called maybe 15 times to check on a photo order, a lady picked up the third call and cut me off mid- sentence and "transferred me " to the photo department which is about 10 feet away from where she is standing to answer the phone. I now have to get in my car at 9 pm and drive to Walgreens just to see IF my photos are ready after 3 weeks of no word. read more

Walgreens - New favorite pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Van Nuys, California

I come here frequently for small essentials and use their same day photo card prints services. I love creating my own cards for families and friends, and really appreciate how fast they have them ready. The store itself is nice and tidy. The aisles are always stocked and organized making it easy to get in and out fast. There is always parking and I've never seen it too crowded. In terms of customer service, I'm always greeted when I enter and when I ask for assistance help is immediate. Although, the photo department never has anyone there and every time, it takes them a little too long to get someone to come over and help me, but overall it's a well running store. If you're intrigued by their photo services, I'd suggest you visit their website. They have a computer there for self service for cards and prints where you can insert your usb, but it's easier to do the order and pay for prints/cards online so all you have to do is pick them up at the store. If not, you risk being rushed if there's a line or having to wait for someone to finish or you might need help and finding an employee could be difficult. read more

Well. This Walgreens used to just be horribly inconvenient and now has slipped even lower into what I would consider actual hell. Aside from unhelpful and incredibly rude staff (ESPECIALLY night shift, WOW), apparently their pharmacy is now no longer 24 hours. I'm aware this is a company decision and not the store's fault by any means, but maybe do something to dwindle down the line of 10 people at the pharmacy that stretches halfway down the store. Also, maybe inform your employees that when someone is inquiring about the new pharmacy hours, "I dunno, look it up online" with a dramatic eye roll, isn't really an appropriate response. Made an online appointment for my booster shot, received email confirmation. Drove all the way to this Walgreens. They first said there were no appointments and then switched to I shouldn't have come because nobody called me (email confirmation though). Then switched to they don't have vaccine in stock. It's a decent drugstore and reliable, knowing they are open 24 hours a day. Staff is generally friendly I wish they kept the pharmacy rx was open 34 hours but they cut back those hours some time ago. Overall a decent drugstore. read more

After the Glendale and Studio City locations were unable to get my 24"x36" poster properly printed, I visited this location. As I entered the store, I was immediately greeted by William. William was empathetic, patient, and courteous enough to listen to my two previous experiences at Walgreen's, and truly went above and beyond to help me out. He essentially perforfmed a tune-up / deep cleaning on the printer to ensure I would receive the highest quality the printer had to offer. The final result was flawless. I later found out that William is the store manager- and he definitely stepped up to the plate and took time out of his already busy role to help me out. Thanks Walgreen's for having such a talented, proactive, and professional gentleman as your manager. I am writing this review solely based on the manager, Tim. I frequently print pictures here - he's helped me in the past and has always been very pleasant, but today he went above and beyond. Rather than talk about the negative experience with two employees prior to my interaction with him, I really want to focus on his level of customer service and sincerity. He genuinely seems to care about his customers and too often things like this are not acknowledged. It was clear they were understaffed as he was working the front desk when I walked in, so that also shows his level of commitment, willingness to help and dedication to a positive guest experience. I left the store today so irritated! First of all let me say that the tattoo faced lady (Lucia) was a very unprofessional choice. Plus she wasn't helpful at all. She refused to sell me an item that the store wrongfully tagged. Not my fault! Other stores would have honored the price but she refused! Then my gift card wouldn't read! Then the items tagged 2 for $5 were actually 2 for $6! I will never go to that store agin! Customers shouldn't have to see those stupid tattoos all over her face! This has got to be the worst pharmacy ever. It took hours to get my pain prescription filled after having oral surgery! Save for one or two pharmacy techs, the pharmacists are quite rude. I don't know what can be done to fix the problem. Maybe start over? I would go elsewhere. Maybe CVS. read more

Went to pharmacy twice on Saturday (midday; just after 6pm) to pick up critical prescription, both times C L O S E D. Asked mgr what's up, was told about govt regulations of pharmacist work breaks. Subsequent discussion w pharmacy disclosed the real issue which is that Walgreens HQ is doing staff hours reduction. In view of this I conclude that Walgreens no longer appreciates or cares about the time-critical availability factor of pharmacy service. So I am going to pull my prescriptions. read more

The Walgreens I usually visit is in Sherman Oaks, CA because its location is convenient for me. However, the service there is absurdly slow (waiting time often more than 30-45 minutes) and they rarely have a particular medication that I order every month. During the 35 minutes I waited this time, I heard the pharmacy employees apologize to customers for problems caused by pharmacy screw-ups at least 25 times. After calling around to determine which Walgreens had a supply of the medication, I went way out of my way to pick up this particular medication at the Tarzana, CA Walgreens. The service there is quick and efficient, but it is about 12 miles out of my way. More than a week ago I dropped off a prescription form containing three different medications. They had a week to fill it. For some reason beyond any of the pharmacy staff's understanding, one of the three meds. was not filled. I waited for more than 30 minutes for it to be filled, only to be told that it won't be ready until later that same day. I went back today to pick up that med., waited on line for 13 minutes and it STILL was not ready! I then waited almost 20 minutes while the staff took many phone calls, and did assorted other things, obviously putting my Rx on a low priority. By the way, there were four other people in line today who were also complaining about the absurdly long wait every time they go to that store, along with the constant flow of staff errors. I have filled out the satisfaction questionnaires at the bottom of the receipts several times, and each time I have requested that I be called by a Walgreens rep. I have never been called. All I can surmise is that Walgreens head office does not give a damn about the satisfaction of its customers. I will be taking my family's business to another local pharmacy. I doubt that I will be able to locate any pharmacy that is worse than the Walgreens at Coldwater Canyon and Magnolia Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, CA. I'm not one for swearing, but Walgreens can go f**k themselves! I will also file a complaint for incorrect filling of prescriptions with the Better Business Bureau and the California Board of Pharmacy. read more

Funny how most of the bad reviews have no profile pics. Must be CVS employees. ;) All of the employees are very eager to please. And from the looks of it theres always someone in line who has some type of primadonna attitude that just makes it bad for everyone in line. Seriously!?! Get a life! I came for my prescriptions and a soda not to hear "children" cry about a coupon not working. Honestly when i see the faces of the employees who have to deal with these people who never grew up it makes me want to walk up and give them a medal for valor in the face of extreme stupidity. Is there a competition to see which pharmacy can be the most annoying? The person I spoke to over the phone couldn't sound more bored; she could barely scrounge up enough energy to mumble at me, so I had to repeat my question a few times or ask her to repeat herself. It would be nice if I could send in a new prescription ahead of time rather than drop off, wait hours and then make an unnecessary trip back or to know it's even covered BEFORE they fill it. Nasty surprise last visit was the meds weren't covered, they didn't bother to call, and instead I had to repeatedly refuse to accept the fulfillment and deal with constant reminder calls it's was ready. Sadly there isn't a decent pharmacy around me, so I'm stuck with whatever is closest. read more

Walgreens is not following CDC guidelines for the vaccine rollout. They are supposed to be scheduling appointments immediately after you get your first dose and they have not been doing that. I've called corporate and this one locally and they will not schedule an appointment for you, even for a few weeks in advance, like they were supposed to. The pharmacist I spoke to berated me over the phone for trying to schedule an appointment in advance and told me the way I should be doing it is waking up at 5am everyday to try and get an appointment for a second dose, despite not following CDC guidelines in the first place. This has been widely reported as well that they are not following guidelines. If you can get your vaccine anywhere else, please do. read more

The employees here are great but the pharmacy is SEVERELY understaffed. The wait time for the medication is long... they asked my to come back the next day but when I told them I absolutely needed it today they were kind enough to fill it within 4 hours. That's why I gave them 3 stars. I prefer the Walgreens on Victory and Fulton. Even when they're backed up the longest I've waited was 2 hours. SERIOUSLY WALGREENS.... !!!READ THIS!!! F- This is the WORST Pharmacy in the whole San Fernando Valley. The Pharmacy Manager is PREJUDICED would not fill my prescription after surgery. The pharmacy manager, appropriately named "Nazi" should be fired! She would not fill my prescription even with my surgery paperwork and prescription. Now I lay here in pain because I sent my girlfriend after my surgery to pick up my medicine and that was somehow suspicious? The real problem is when people can't get their prescribed pain meds after major surgery because a pharmacy NAZI decides to treat her customers like they are giving her fake prescriptions.The store is USELESS. This is for the pharmacy only. Look, I work in retail. I've worked in retail for over a decade, at all volumes. Like serious retail, with over 1500 people walking through the door on a Saturday all the way to low vol, very slow paced retail. I know how to talk to and treat the public like the back of my hand. This is seriously the worst customer service provided by a major company I have ever experienced on multiple occasions. Bad service on multiple occasions = a real problem, not just an irate customer who is having a bad day. I know it's not the pharmacists fault. I know they are just doing their job. I can see the stress on their faces, and I can only imagine how much they don't like working there. It's not their fault that Walgreens doesn't see the need for more help. I'm sure they have said something multiple times to who they report to. I'm sure that there is a lot more to it than meets the eye of the customer. But this is a bigger issue. Why am I waiting in the drive through for 30 minutes? Why am I waiting 15 minutes to DROP OFF a prescription. Why am I waiting 20 minutes to pick up? I have always had my prescriptions filled by Walgreens, for as long as I can remember. But this is out of control. Walgreens, please listen to your customer's reviews. Please help your hardworking employees by hiring more help. Please interfere with this situation so customers don't yell at pharmacists anymore in front of a wall of people who are waiting for their turn to yell at them. Please train your managers to stop making nonchalant excuses as to why they are understaffed. Please help the people who need medication by helping the people who are trained to assist them. Please help this location, because it's hanging on by a thread. I usually come into this store during the early weekday afternoons and have consistently found the employees including the pharmacists and cashiers here to be both pleasant, patient and helpful. The store has a small feel to it that is easy for me to navigate and while there are line, they are not any longer than one would find in any other store. I scheduled an appt for 8/20/21. Online directions said test would take 24-48 hours. This time period passed. When I called the pharmacy they gave me two incorrect #'s for labcorp, who they said did all the testing. When I called back to relay this info to the pharmacy, after much pleading, and stating that they could not call for me, a worker finally agreed to call them. She got back to me, saying no information could be obtained and that sometimes tests could take 3-5 days. This was not stated anywhere online nor when I confirmed the testing timeline at the appt. I am doubtful that she really called. This is horrible customer service. read more

I only came to this location out of desperation in needing an antibiotic filled because their other location couldn't do it before closing for me. I will NEVER come to fill a prescription here again after how rude the staff was there. I had questions as to how long the wait would be, since I was in my car they told me just to pull over and they would text me when I was ready. Once again I asked for a time, I was told there were a lot of other people and I was holding things up so they wouldn't give me an exit time. I get that they were busy but when I am planing on waiting for a prescription I would like to know an estimate like every other pharmacy gives. No thanks. read more

The technicians messed up my meds twice. They kept telling me that they fixed the situation and ordered it again, and it'll be there within the next couple days. Each time I went they said no one actually put the order in. This lasted almost a week and a half and I was totally out of meds as they tried to fix the problem for a 3rd time. Was on hold for 30min to check if the meds were ready finally but they hung up on me even after someone answered and said they were transferring me to the pharmacist (cause I no longer want to deal with the horrible technicians). This has been a huge hassle. It's like no one there is listening to you or gives a shit or tries to actually fix the situation and calling is impossible cause you have to wait forever to get someone. And when you do, you may get disconnected or hung up on anyway. They've also admitted to having a shitty text alert system which alerted me the 1st time that my correct meds were ready for pickup. Which is why I was so frustrated when I got there and they said no one actually fixed my problem and the text alert was wrong. This was the 2nd time I've had to explain my problem about getting the wrong meds and have them fix it so I was pissed and rude because I do understand that mistakes happen, but it was ridiculous having to deal with idiots making the same error more than once. I worked it out with that technician who said to come back tomorrow and the meds would be ready. Big surprise, they weren't and no one actually ordered the correct meds AGAIN. I hate this pharmacy and don't feel they are competent at all. read more

Andrea, with the very nasty attitude has prompted this review. I shop at this location regularly but this morning I had a very bad experience. The store states opening time is 6am. I arrived at 6:25pm. Lights were on....nobody was visible. I knocked on the door....no response. There were 3 of us waiting outside .At 6:35am, 2 employees came out of the back room. One came to the door and advised they cannot set-up and open until the manager arrives......with that.....in walks the manager and they lock the door behind her. All 3 employees disappear into the back room ( to the left of the photo area ). I continue to knock on the doors, hoping someone can acknowledge our existence out there, but nothing. We all wait 8 more minutes when in no apparent rush, they appear and are casually holding their register boxes. Finally (at 8:44am), the manager unlocks the door. I ask her if the store opens at 6am? She replys "yes" (nothing further). I ask why the delay? In A VERY NASTY tone, asks me if I really want to know (seriously?). Of course, I say yes and she then ( again....REALLY NASTY TONE!!), tells me she does not appreciate my banging on the doors (knocking, as I stated earlier ), and that the regular manager who was supposed to open, has Covid and they called her. When I heard that, I asked why that couldn't be nicely explained to us and her response was the following......"Are you going to argue with me or shop?" Clearly, this "manager" was not happy to be there and most definitely needs a refresher course in Customer Service. read more
