I had one of the yummiest hot chocolate at this cute cafe we stopped by on the way back to San Jose from the Mammoth Lakes. What we loved the most was the warm hospitality we were welcomed by. I recommend stopping by here if you're heading towards Tahoe/mammoth!

A small town food joint that is busy as its one of the few things around here but was not ready to handle a group of 12 traveling thru town. By 1130 some of their food items (limited choices already) were already out, such as the ham and cheese panini. I wouldn't so much as call it a food joint but more so of a to go coffee shop that's far better than the coffees you find at a gas station or 7-11 or any other place you would typically run into on a road trip. The inside is small. Hardly able to contain all 12 of us on their 2 little tables. But they have some more bench seating outside as well as in the front. Being off the "main" road, this place does get a lot of foot traffic though. From the local sheriff's, to the locals to the tourists they all come here for food, drinks and gear. Im the 30 min we were here, we saw maybe 2 dozen cars pulling in and out of the gravel parking lot. Took a good 25 minutes or so for the quesadilla's to come out, which was a while. I ordered their turkey pesto paining. Bread was an interesting choice. But they have lots of turkey inside, and you can taste the pesto. It was large and pretty good. Also got a breakfast burrito which was more than enough for 1 person. I also got their redbull and juice drink. It was good and refreshing. Definitely helped with the 6 plus more hours of driving that I had to do. Overall this place is small (as expected). A little rundown. Serves limited amounts of food. But does have a more expansive coffee menu. If your looking for a sit down breakfast joint this is not the place for youm. But if your looking for something quick that you can hold on too and drive then try this place out. Or if your looking for a pick me up to help you on your drive then come here for one of their many coffee/caffeine offerings.

Wonderful every time I come in here. Very friendly service and they always have creative and fun drink specials. This is a staple of walker and a great stop on 395 whether you're a local or traveling through.

Friendly staff and a boost to life in Walker CA. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich- delish. As I was traveling and passing through, I frequented on my way out and back for my coffee fix. I also bought some coffee beans to take home. Only downside was restroom was out of order.

Nice little coffee stop on the way down to Yosemite! Convenient location right off the highway. I had the toffee mocha and it was pretty solid!

Quant local biz that offers coffee drinks, some breakfast items with a menu for meals and coffee. Some pastries look homemade, muffins from Costco (which I like). Friendly, helpful, professional, sweet employees. Reasonable prices. The CLEANEST bathroom! Plus if you get "messy" they have all kinds of supplies on hand so you can clean up after yourself. Great idea.

Very thankful that the gal allowed me to use the restroom, as there are few places along 395. The bathroom reeked of bleach! I didn't need to buy anything, but did just for being allowed to use the restroom. NO THANKS to the Toiyabe Motel, who was extremely rude! I was desperate. I can't seem to leave a review over there. So much for "arrive as strangers, leave as friends" motto. I'd never stay there! read more

I must say, the marketing for this coffee shop worked! We were driving south on the 395 and saw the billboard for coffee coming up. Not wanting to lose much time on our drive, we called in the order. We ordered an iced coffee with...coffee ice cubes! That's right -- so your iced coffee doesn't get watered down. Genius. They also have oat milk! We ordered paninis too. Our daughter liked her ham and grilled cheese, but our turkey pesto was missing the pesto. The coffee is better than the paninis, but we will definitely be back for the coffee. Oh, and the bathrooms (for customers only) we're very clean! read more

Awesome cup of coffee from this new spot on the 395. We saw them on our way up to Lake Tahoe and we're happy to get a mid day coffee for our ride back down to Mammoth a few days later. Very clean shop and friendly service. I wish them.the best as they expand their services. read more

WCC is an unexpected gem that offers excellent coffee and the most amazing little, creative, cooked to order breakfasts. Goodness, what they do in this tiny place! They also have fishing gear and works by local artists - check out the works of their own school kids! Bottom line: if you are going to be driving through Walker, DON'T! My preference is stopping at local small coffee shops especially when traveling on vacation. My stop included letting my dog stretch her legs. The espresso flavor came through in my Mocha and the flavor was smooth. Taking the first sip, I noticed they use Ghiradelli syrups. I'm biased towards Ghiradelli prefering their powders. The barista was friendly and curious about my T-Shirt and let me know that I could have brought my dog in because they had treats if she wanted. Nothing fancy about the interior, but I was there to try the coffee and I will stop again on my next trip to/from Carson City. read more

Friend ordered four drinks two vanilla lattes and two other drinks with oat milk and almond milk. The lady working the front counter was not the owner and the drinks were watered down with no espresso flavor. We all had to toss the drinks. read more

This is one of the best coffee shops we have found in a very long time! My wife and I did a week-long RV trip all over California and stopped here traveling from Lake Tahoe to Mammoth. Even though most of the state parks were shut down from COVID, this incredible establishment was open...and thank God! Walker Coffee was the BEST coffee we had on our entire trip and we also enjoyed the conversation with the young owners. I ordered an almond milk mocha and my wife ordered an iced Americano, and we both shared a chicken with vegetables bowl. We almost had to stop the RV when we were drinking it because it was THAT GOOD. We will definitely be back next time we are in that area. If you don't go in when you are in Walker, CA, you are missing out! read more

Riding thru town and saw this place, had to make a stop. What better way to take a break coming from Reno. The coffee was much needed. The wife and I had a couple of the specialty lattes. Absolutely delicious and refreshing. There is Wi-Fi, But then you are in walker California, pretty sure internet is quite limited so don't expect fast internet. Will stop by again when we come through town. read more

We made a quick stop here for coffee after reading the favorable reviews. They were fairly busy but were well staffed so the service was friendly and quick. My hubby liked his americano. My husband and I stopped by walker coffee company on our way from twin lakes back to Reno. The best aspect of this coffee shop are the owners who are so kind and welcoming! The drip coffee is really flavorful and well roasted, the prices are pretty reasonable, and the atmosphere was nice and cozy near the fireplace and arm chairs! I would definitely recommend stopping by walker coffee! I didn't get to try any of the food, but they do serve a small menu of yummy sounding dishes including a breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, and a scramble, among other options. I asked the bakery staff if they made their coffee and was informed that it was made locally in Bridgeport and delivered fresh weekly to them. I have drank coffee from all around the world, nothing beats local fresh roasted coffee made with TLC. You can taste the difference when it is made fresh, than something that have sat on the market shelf for months. I was able to track down the company that made their coffee, it is made locally in a tiny small town in the Sierras, the higher altitude does something to the coffee. Even brewing coffee in higher evevation, you have to tweak the process, so roasting at the higher elevation changes the taste as well. I made my normal brew and it was even better than when I had it in Bishop. Great find at Erick Schat's, which lead me to finding this local roster. Overall, very high quality locally roasted coffee from the high mountains in the Sierras.

The coffee they use had a delicious flavor to it. There are some tables inside where you can sit. Locals come in to play the lotto here. It's a cool spot to check out. They have sandwiches that look good and soup of the day. Parking is right out front.

I have drank coffee from all around the world, nothing beats local fresh roasted coffee made with TLC. You can taste the difference when it is made fresh, than something that have sat on the market shelf for months. I was able to track down the company that made their coffee, it is made locally in a tiny small town in the Sierras, the higher altitude does something to the coffee. Even brewing coffee in higher evevation, you have to tweak the process, so roasting at the higher elevation changes the taste as well. They contacted me via email assuring me the order was cancelled, when my next delivery was due, and thanking me for my years of service. My guess is a negative Yelp review impacts them. I like their coffee. I like the fact some of the money goes to eye cancer research. But beware, you are on your own to handle subscriptions and shipments. And because they answered my emails after multiple weeks of wrestling with this I doubled their star review- from one to a two.,,,,,,,,, For reasons known only to me I am changing my review from 2 star to 5 star. The shelves were also pretty sparse, and the selection a bit thin too. Usually you can find just about anything you need in one of these stores, but unfortunately I'd say that you'd need to visit here and Ken's to guarantee you'll find what you need and may even find yourself driving to the next town for certain things.
