Good coffee, fresh pastries, and yummy breakfast sandwiches in a sweet cafe with outdoor seating. Super cute & clean restroom. For such a small little kitchen they had fast and friendly service even tho there were several people ahead of us on line. Also, open early! Don't miss this cute coffee shop in Lee Vining with a taste of Guatemala. And also, supporting women owned coffee collaborative in Peru so you can feel good about your brew.

We stayed in Lee Vining for a few days and Tierra Antigua's oat milk lattes were the best part of our day! The location is walkable from anywhere in town. They have a full breakfast menu including smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and paninis. You can even grab a deli sandwich from the fridge for later. For such a small town, we were happy to find a coffee house with alt milks like oat, almond and soy. Super friendly service and SERIOUSLY the best lattes in the Eastern Sierra! Don't miss this gem of a spot on the 395/Lee Vining.

It is so nice to find a place like this in Lee Vining. I had a frapoe mocha with cho c plate drizzle on top. It was so refreshing on a hot day. They e only been open since April. I really do hope business will pick up for them.

Just stopped in at this gem and got a hot white chocolate mocha, americano, a few muffins, and a piece of Tres Leches! service was excellent, food and drinks were delish, and the patio area outside provides good ambiance for the beautiful views that Lee Vining provides. menu showed they have burritos and sandwiches too!!

Stopped by as I was headed to the lake. Not your average coffee here. By far the best ask for Chris he's dedicated to get you the best tasting coffee.

It was like a turkey sandwich I think with jam and the bread was so so soft! But I remember it also had a sauce inside that was so good too. As soon as I had a bite I was like I think this is the best sandwich I've ever had. I remember the customer service being so nice too. The outdoor seating was so beautiful, they had a bunch of flowers and cute bees just resting in the flowers. I felt such a peaceful vibe at this place and I hope I can come back again and make it my next rest stop for next years camping trip.

The service was average, but my Latte was perfect. We took our coffee to go, but it's actually really cute to hang out at the porch or table and chairs in the front lawn. This will definitely become a stop I will look forward to when travelling through here in the future.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, always coming to check if my fiancé needed more coffee. I ordered the Mike's special and my fiancé got the Nicely's special. We also got the bread pudding Ala mode. It was sooo delicious. The crinkle fries were nice and crispy and the sandwich was nice and flavorful as well. It is definitely great diner food. This place reminded me of a diner we had back at home in Hawaii and it had history just like this diner but due to COVID that diner closed its door. It was one of the last standing diners that we had and they got closed. So I was very happy to experience this diner vibe again. If you're on your way to or from Mammoth, you should definitely stop to try if you haven't.

My daughter had the chicken strips and fries. The chicken strips were probably made there - didn't seem frozen. Very fluffy and crispy. Loved them. Crinkle cut fries could use a bit more salt. But that's totally fixable at the table. THE RANCH WAS DELICIOUS!!!! We will absolutely be back on future trips up and down 395.

While ownership has changed at one point, the bakery has stayed in the family. Locals absolutely depend on this jewel. High Sierra bakery is more than just a shop, but a place where neighbors meet, chat, and feel at home, fostering a sense of connection. Locals also order donuts for their different clubs, acitivities and gatherings. Tourism is also a big part of the bakery clientelle. The bakery has extended hours during peak summer time. It's essential to get to the bakery early during these times to be able to have many variety choices. While the bakery must close for the winter, you can depend on them usually beginning in April into October. It has been a long time, but we have ordered birthday cakes in the past. Everything here is consistent. The apple fritters are a big hit, and I say big hit because they are HUGE. The bakery also has sandwiches on the menu, but I think they are usually not available until after 11. There is plenty of seating inside and a couple of tables outside. Parking is available on the street and it is within walking distance from all local motels.

So their loss was our gain because I really enjoyed the High Sierra Bakery. I ordered up a delicious Sierra Haystack, A MUST DO when you go here. The bag was tempting, but they also have single haystacks for sale. My wife ordered up the Hulk and shared a bite of her sandwich with me. Perfectly made, in my opinion. Nice flavors and not too much of anything. They did have to sub pepperoni for salami but that didn't make much of a difference. For my sandwich I decided on a simple PBj because I wasn't super hungry. It was a good choice. Great bread and simple ingredients. The space is big enough for most groups that are coming through town and it really did feel very small town vibe. The service was good too! So many times I hesitate to get anything really unique in small towns because they just don't have the turnover, but High Sierra was pleasant surprise when it came to the quality of everything we had. I will definitely head there next time I am driving through from Reno.

So if you find yourself this part of town while there's snow, and Tioga Pass is closed, don't even bother. Second, it does take a while to get food since they seem to make them to order, so if you're in a hurry, grab the ready-made items or snacks. We were pretty skeptical of fish tacos all the way out in the mountains, so we settled for the lobster and crab taquitos. Honestly, the taquitos felt like they came out of the freezer and weren't that special, but the rice was really good! I'd come here for a pit stop, but it's not like I have to eat here, unless I have a long journey ahead with no food. Bonus: they have plenty of seating including outdoor seating with a fantastic view of Mono Lake!
