Good coffee, fresh pastries, and yummy breakfast sandwiches in a sweet cafe with outdoor seating. Super cute & clean restroom. For such a small little kitchen they had fast and friendly service even tho there were several people ahead of us on line. Also, open early! Don't miss this cute coffee shop in Lee Vining with a taste of Guatemala. And also, supporting women owned coffee collaborative in Peru so you can feel good about your brew.

We stayed in Lee Vining for a few days and Tierra Antigua's oat milk lattes were the best part of our day! The location is walkable from anywhere in town. They have a full breakfast menu including smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and paninis. You can even grab a deli sandwich from the fridge for later. For such a small town, we were happy to find a coffee house with alt milks like oat, almond and soy. Super friendly service and SERIOUSLY the best lattes in the Eastern Sierra! Don't miss this gem of a spot on the 395/Lee Vining.

It is so nice to find a place like this in Lee Vining. I had a frapoe mocha with cho c plate drizzle on top. It was so refreshing on a hot day. They e only been open since April. I really do hope business will pick up for them.

Just stopped in at this gem and got a hot white chocolate mocha, americano, a few muffins, and a piece of Tres Leches! service was excellent, food and drinks were delish, and the patio area outside provides good ambiance for the beautiful views that Lee Vining provides. menu showed they have burritos and sandwiches too!!

Stopped by as I was headed to the lake. Not your average coffee here. By far the best ask for Chris he's dedicated to get you the best tasting coffee.

Beautiful patio! I've been here a few times. Great coffee, friendly staff and a great little patio to get some morning sun and people watch.

Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. It's the perfect place to stop before or after visiting Yosemite or exploring the Eastern Sierra. One of our favorite things is the outdoor seating. We were able to enjoy our meal with our fur babies, which made the experience even more special. Sitting outside with the beautiful view of Mono Lake while enjoying great food was absolutely unforgettable. The combination of delicious food, stunning scenery, and a pet-friendly outdoor area makes this place a true hidden gem. A perfect addition to a road trip! Food: I visited WND as a stop on my 395 journey as I have heard many things about their fish tacos and lobster taquitos at elevation, and out of a gas station no less! I had no clue what to expect given the location, but WND left me delightfully surprised. I ordered the famous fish tacos and their lobster taquitos for myself which came out to ~50$ with a drink. Immediately, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. Both dishes came topped with a fresh element like salad for the taquitos, mango salsa, and refried beans. These additions bump the visual appeal of both dishes, and substantially turn them into worthy meals which I was worried about (assumed they would be served on their own with no sides). With my two heavy plates, I set myself at the outdoor seating and dug in. Let me say I had no issue housing these two, without ever feeling heavy or greasy which was a concern I had given the fried elements. I started with the signature fish tacos; the mango salsa is a delightful and refreshing sweet/tangy accompaniment to the creamy sauce and refried beans. The fish is fried but not greasy at all, but I found the meat to be a bit dry/lacking in flavor. Overall, the strength of the taxi was in the salsa and taco toppings / sides, not the fish. Which I found to be somewhat disappointing. They were delicious, but I had just expected more from their main dish. The taquitos however took me by surprise! These were served with a refreshing salad and more of that mango salsa, on top of the refried beans. It was delicious mixed together. The taquitos had a respectable crisp to the shell without any fault of excess oil, and the filling was wonderfully seasoned and flavorful throughout. A good follow up to the mildly disappointing fish. Paired with a coke zero, this was still an amazing meal that felt hearty yet healthy, indulgent yet balanced. These plates give the impression of a carefully thought out dish, where the chefs considered the overall experience beyond just the headliner fish or taquito. Overall, fantastic. Service: Service at WND is homey and local. When you're far out from the cities, it's comfortable and easy to chat with the cashier about their experience working there, or their favorite dishes. Fast, friendly, and open to conversation, WNDs service is perfect for what it is. Ambiance: despite being in a gas station, WND and the Tioga mart are a very comfortable, safe, and restful spot. I came alone, but I spotted families with children playing in the outdoor area ahead of where I ate, friends meeting up to continue their journeys, and elderly couples tucking into their plates in the clean indoor seating area. There are small elements harkening to the history and fame of the deli in the form of news clippings on the walls near the bathrooms, and wooden tables and benches give the indoors a cozy vibe. Outdoor seating is more like your standard picnic bench, but when paired with the green grass area just ahead of it and the views of the lake/mountains, you can't beat that fresh air and connection to nature with your meal. Overall, I was very surprised with how good WND delivered in a way that I was not at all expecting for this remote gas station stop. I highly recommend making a point to stop in here on your travels to refuel, taste the delicious food, and slow down a moment in the road. 4/5 (docked for dry fish)

It was previously a worthy stop-off when the trip north or south was long and you needed a decent quality comfort-food bite on the fly. Sadly, this restaurant is now crossed off my list of options. Pricing here has gotten out of control (a hamburger is 30-35 dollars....a *hamburger* ?!?), with service nothing particularly special. So you will be paying roughly double, or more, for the price of a menu roughly equivalent to the quality of an Applebee's. The restaurant will argue these are the new inflationary market prices, supply demand dynamics, summer travel pricing to offset slower winter travel season, etc etc. But reaming the customer ain't a great recipe for having folks like me ever returning. It simply isn't worth it to dine here anymore, so I will keep driving past Virginia Creek Settlement and wave.

Our party of six had been waiting to be seated when another party of six arrived after us. Eventually, someone from their group asked about the wait, and the male host said, "We have a table," and waved them in. When we asked about when we would be seated since we arrived before the previous group, he claimed he had already called our name. All six of us had been seated, listening and heard parties being called--our group was never called. Kayla did apologize for the mix up, since she was aware we were waiting before the other group. Since we have been going to The Stove for years, we decided to give it another try, so later in the week, we pre-ordered three pies several days in advance and later added a fourth (Kayla added the fourth). When we arrived, only one pie (the one Kayla put in) was available, and we were told we could come back in two days--even though we were leaving the next day. The male staff member insisted we had changed our order, but the handwritten order sheet in the clipboard did show what we had originally requested. The other host was apologetic but told us the mix up was because Kayla (who wasn't there at the time) made a mistake and didn't complete the order. We explained that the male host took our order. We appreciated that she discounted the one pie we did receive. Instead of eating there, we went to The Warming Hut down the street, where the service was friendly, the food arrived quickly, and our food was good. We understand mistakes happen, but it was the dismissive and rude customer service of the male host --not the mistakes themselves--that made this experience so disappointing.
