I was prepared to wait at least half an hour which had been the norm in my past experiences. Also in my past experiences, getting the car hooked up was a lengthy process. Not with Marty's! Ismael had us moving on the road within 3 minutes of him arriving. Tow truck technology has come a long way since I've needed their help! Blew my mind. On top of the speedy assistance, Ismael was also an absolute pleasure to ride along and speak with. This place defined reassurance and efficient help. After having a good ole time camping, hiking, and riding trails in the hill country near Uvalde, my husband and I packed up the trailer, ourselves, and our dogs to head back home to Santa Fe. What started out as a beautiful SUNDAY afternoon quickly became a nightmare. When we pulled out on the main highway, the turbo on our big, heavy, longbed truck decided to self destruct, ruining our chances of making it home in time to enjoy Mother's Day evening. With no other option, we pulled into the Burger King parking lot. I hate Burger King! I started to cry. Not because I hate Burger King but because I didn't know what to do or even where to start. My mind was racing trying to help figure out our probably very expensive, way out of this logistical nightmare. Think about it. You are pulling a camper, broke down 300 miles from home in Sabinal, TX. It's one of those sleepy little towns that turn into a ghost town at 6pm sharp every Sunday. Do you call a nearby tow company and take the chance of being overcharged, taken advantage of, or possibly have your vehicle damaged further? Where do you have them haul it to? Dealerships aren't open on Sunday. Is there a reputable diesel mechanic nearby? Even if you found one, it's SUNDAY! How many day's until it's ready? Then, what do you do with the camper? How do you get home? I'm full blown panicking! After a few silent and tense minutes of my husband trying to Google the answers, he still hadn't said a word other than to tell me he was going inside to use the restroom. I felt so bad for him. He is always the problem solver, Mr. fix it. There was literally nothing he could do in this situation except call for help. I decided to take it upon myself to try to lighten the load (pun intended) and call Winwood Motors to see if they had any advice or if maybe, just maybe they could help us out. I called and Mr. Winwood answered before the third ring. As soon as I started to speak, my dogs started barking and neither of us could hear each other. I couldn't even spit out my questions before I started crying again. He obviously thought I was crazy or that he was on the wrong end of a prank phone call. I was still crying and couldn't gather myself enough to speak clearly when Mrs. Winwood got on the phone and told me she would call me right back, she needed to grab a pen and paper. I figured that was the kindest way she could get rid of the sketchy prank caller on the other end of the line (that would be me, a blubbering idiot, lol). Apparently the cell signal in the Sabinal, Texas Burger King parking lot was sketchy as well. Honestly, I was not really expecting a call back but suddenly I received two back to back voicemails. It was Mrs. Winwood! Thankfully, my husband was able to call them back and Winwood Motors stepped up in a huge way. They sent Kenneth, who called to let us know he was on his way and even gave us ETA updates every hour or so along his route to rescue us. He showed up with a calm, confident attitude and handled our tough situation like a pro. He carefully loaded both our truck and camper on his rig. After a couple of minor technical issues, he safely hauled them all the way home, not arriving until around 2am. That kind of dedication and kindness is rare these days. Kenneth never complained. This small-town business delivers big-time service. If you ever need help on the road, Winwood Motors is who you want. They show up, go above and beyond, and treat you like family. We have always used them for towing and lockout needs and always recommended them. This was beyond our expectations. To hold a licence…read morewith TDLR for VSF it's a requirement to release vehicles from 8:00am-midnight Monday-Saturday with a 1hr notice if you are not 24hr. They are charging customers more days and fees by not allowing to pick up after 6pm. They are also charging a 6% fee for credit card payments which law says max is 4%. Disputing these issues led to very rude text from the company and saying my threats weren't going to change anything to go ahead and file a complaint they didn't care what TDLR says they weren't changing. So Becareful and review your information. TDLR has been notified along with other government agencies.

They work on classics, moderns, diesels and RVs! I called to add myself to their waitlist and was happy when they called! I had the car towed in, and they worked tirelessly on her for a month. I appreciated that the owner, Kevin, took the time to go through all of the items that they noticed on inspection. He included a thorough list and estimated prices for each line item, and then talked through the list with me at length to decide what was a 'must have' and what was a 'wish list' item. He also told me what items i could do myself to save money, and gave me pointers on how to do them. Anytime something would come up that would cause additional cost or time, he was sure to call and inform me. I also appreciated that Kevin took the time to teach me about my car in a respectful and friendly way! All too often, as a woman, I feel slighted by mechanics who think that I either don't know or don't care about what is going on. Kevin went the extra mile when my car died on her drive home from the shop. He met me at the gas station where I was dead in the water, diagnosed the problem, ordered a part for us that we picked up around the corner, and installed it right there in the gas station parking lot. then followed me home to make sure it was ok! I went to All American RV Service On Friday, July 17, 2026, to make another payment of $6000 they were asking for, and to tell them this is it...I'm out of money. I had been to their shop of Tuesday July 14, 2026 to see the progress and everything was in disarray, something missing on every work order. Just enough missing to where I can't say, "Stop I'm taking my trailer". I do believe this is their game plan to keep you from pulling out, and their money flow coming. On Tuesday, July 14, 2006 my balance was $5,700.79 . Since, they were asking for a payment of $6000, I thought they were rounding up. But no, they presented me with a new repair order with a balance of 7,900.79. That another $2,200 since, my last repair order of Tuesday, July 14, 2026, just two days ago, and still nothing completed. Now, repair order went from $7,674.46 to $17,900.79. What the heck! I told them get the toilet in and the gas line fixed and no more. They told me, they'd finish the door lock and stabilizer at the original quote, which I paid ($2,644.88) back on May 18, 2026. "How kind of them", but I would still owe some $ amount for finishing the toilet and the gas line. Like I said, they will leave some of each of the projects undone (torn apart) to keep you from leaving before they squeeze every last $cent from your savings. They towed my car .5 miles and they had my car less than 4 hours. Charged $320 to get it out. They lied and said my property manager called and had them tow my car, when my property manager wasn't even on property that day. Then they lied and said I was illegally parked and that the fire Marshall said he can't turn around right there, in parking spaces. I called the fire Marshall and he said that was a lie and he has never said anything like that or instructed them to tow people from right there for any reason. Also mind you, there is no signage saying it's a fire zone or an emergency zone or a tow away zone or a no parking zone. They are legal parking spaces. They then told me the only way to get my car out would be to have my property manager call them and tell them to bring it back. So I called my property manager back and she did just that. She called them and told them they illegally towed a resident from an area THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN TOLD BY MY PROPERTY MANAGER MULTIPLE TIMES TO STOP TOWING FROM THERE BECAUSE THEY ARE ACTUALLY PARKING SPACES, but yet they towed me anyways. I was only parked for 15 minutes while unloading my freaking groceries out of my car and carrying them upstairs with my child. After my property manager called them they said that they never told me to have her call them to release my car. She said well this is my resident and you need to give me our options to get her car back since y'all took it without permission (BECAUSE MIND YOU THEY HAVE TO HAVE HER PERMISSION AND HER PERMISSION ONLY TO TOW ANYONE OFF THE PROPERTY AT ALL FOR ANY REASON) and they told her that there is nothing they will do and they're keeping my car anyways and I have to come pay just like everyone else. When I finally arrived, I called them all out on their lies and when calling my property manager and putting her on speaker phone with them after they told me she never spoke with them, they backtracked and lied again. Even with her on the phone. She was so mad she was screaming at them and they were coming up with more lies and lies. All of the employees there are super rude and disgusting people. They all turned their backs like scared men when called out and confronted with the truth of their lies. When I finally got my car out of the car (ALSO KNOW THEY CHARGE YOU $2 TO PRINT OFF PROOF OF INSURANCE) I drove out of the yard super fast because I was mad and rightfully so... never came close to causing any harm to any of them... I had to pull around to the front of the building to grab my 12 year old daughter from my parents and one of the employees then parked his truck behind me trying to purposely prevent my daughter and I and becoming a hostage situation. My parents then intervened when they told the tow company how they were being gross and towed my car while I was unloading groceries and because of them towing me ILLEGALLY AND STILL CHARGED US was not able to be with my 19 year old son who was having his second emergency brain surgery in 4 months and has a very rare and aggressive brain cancer. Once told that, the employee moved his car but told another employee DYLAN to then chase and follow my daughter and I home to intimidate us and threaten us. ALL AROUND FREAKING DISGUSTING SORRY EXCUSES FOR HUMAN BEINGS KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT THEYRE DOING TO PEOPLE AND FEEL TOO GOOD DOING IT, EVEN TO THEIR OWN LOCALS.
