    Latte aloha
    Rena T.

Cozy spot with great scones, sweet coffee, and easy parking Stopped by Aloha Bake House & Cafe and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a large Latte Aloha and a blueberry cream cheese scone. The scone was served warm with a lovely texture, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. It wasn't overly sweet, and the blueberry flavor came through nicely. Definitely one of the better scones I've had. The Latte Aloha was a bit on the sweeter side, but the coconut flavor was distinct and enjoyable. If you like your coffee with a tropical twist, it's worth a try. Parking was a breeze, there's a lot right next to the shop with designated customer spots. Inside, they offer snacks, breakfast bentos, and even homemade dog treats for sale. There are a couple of small two-seater tables in the front of the shop if you want to enjoy your food there. My total came out to just over $12, which felt reasonable for what I got. Convenient location, good coffee selection, and a relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Delicious Breakfast sandwiches and good mocha and green tea latte. More options for breakfast food items would be nice but happy with what we ordered. The service was quick but had a little wait. Lots of locals coming in. Downstairs area is small. You place your order to go or there is upstairs option to sit and enjoy your drinks and food. There is also a restroom located upstairs. Nice place to sit, relax with your friend, family or by yourself. I would come back here again when in Honolulu!

Aloha Bakehouse is a great local cafe and bakery! Parking here can be tough but luckily I was able to get a stall the past few times I was here. I mainly come here for one thing which is their tuna melt sandwich. It's simple yet delicious! The tuna is light and has a great fluffy/creamy texture and they put just the right amount of lettuce and tomato. I've tried some of their coffee drinks and matcha latte before and it was good! Kinda like your average cafe drinks but nothing super amazing. They also have really yummy blueberry cream cheese scones! I do like how they have an upstairs area which looks like a great place to study/do work. Very spacious and a lot of open tables but it can be hot since there's no ac.

    Misoyaki Salmon Salad

This is quite literally my favourite place on the island when I want a coffee and somewhere to get work done. I got the Latte Aloha, which was more on the bitter side, but I like my coffee strong. There was also a nice hint of macadamia and coconut in my coffee which was delicious. My sister got the Green Tea Matcha Latte and it had a sweet light flavour to it. Probably not the best place to come if you are a matcha fanatic but it does the job. The last thing I got was the misoyaki salmon salad and I'm telling you this is the most SCRUMPTIOUS salad I have ever eaten. The salmon is cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth, and the dressing and cranberries add a sweet touch to the flavour. The nuts also give it a nice crunch which amplifies the whole flavour profile. We sat upstairs to do some work and it's just a beautifully decorated area. There are not too many outlets so I would charge beforehand. Overall, this place gets 5 stars because I always have a good experience here :)) amazing service and the sweetest workers!!

Banana scone and lavender matcha latte

I give this a 4 star rating because although the service was wonderful meaning they were able to substitute vanilla for lavender syrup in my matcha latte the pastries itself were dry. Very much Edible, yes. But so dry and cold. It didn't end up going well with my lavender matcha. Their matcha was delicious. No clumps and the syrup wasn't too heavy.

    Espresso $2.50

Aloha Bread really does the mochi mochi texture well -- fluffy and soft with just the right amount of chew. It's hard to find bread that's this soft while still having that satisfying bite. I especially like it because it reminded me of Japanese bread. And Usually scones can be crumbly or overly sugary, but an anko (red bean) scone was not too dry and not too sweet:) Espresso $2.50 Chi sparkling: Lychee Fuzzy $2.50 Aloha bread: turkey and pesto $14.00 Matcha Red Bean Scone: $3.99

I ordered the Korean BBQ Chicken Salad and it was great. It came with so much chicken, so I scooped half of it off and saved it for left overs. The folks working were very nice. I went upstairs to study, and I loved the large space. There were many tables, chairs, and couches. There was also a bathroom upstairs. Everyone was very quiet and respectful, and there was some soft music playing.

Got the jalapeño aloha bread, it was delicious. It wasn't too spicy, I liked the olives and the pepperoni in it. Cost about $10.

    Elizabeth P.

The aloha bread was the best thing out of what we ordered. The acai bowl was basic as was the blueberry scone. The matcha iced needed more matcha and the coffee was bitter. Also the guy making the coffee dropped the milk foam cup on the dirty floor and rinsed it briefly for 2 seconds before proceeding to froth the milk for my drink There is plenty of seating upstairs which is nice if you wanted to hang out with friends.

This little cafe/bakehouse is the perfect spot to grab a drink/meal/snack! They have a great menu offering a full selection of drinks, snacky foods (musubi, burritos), baked goods (aloha bread, scones), and full entrees (sandwiches, salads, plates). Service is friendly and fast. The downstairs area (main entrance) is where you order/pay/pickup your food, just outside there's a staircase leading up to the seating area which is a huge, beautiful room with lots of natural light, plants, and different sitting areas for chatting or working. It's really quite lovely. I tried their lox sandwich on a toasty everything bagel and it was delicious! Plentiful amount of smoked salmon and cream cheese, spinach, capers, on a very tasty bagel. I also had their iced aloha latte which was so refreshing and lightly sweet. I can't wait to visit again and explore their menu!

Stopped at the Aloha Bakehouse Shop for the first time on a Friday during Winter Break, and it wasn't crowded at all. My friend and I arrived at around 11AM and stayed until closing. I go to a lot of coffee shops across the island but this is one is definitely made it to the top three. Friendly staff, good food, lots of table space and plenty seating/outlets. There's also extra cushions you can borrow if the seats get too stiff. Only con is that there wasn't AC and it did get a little warm, but I also really enjoyed the natural airflow/natural sunlight. Got a Matcha Chocolate Chip scone, Lilikoi Lemonade, and their sun-dried tomato & spinach aloha bread with Salami. All very yummy. I was full after the scone and ended up taking the aloha bread home. Still tasted amazing!

Came here early morning right after a Body Balance workout & it was a cute hole in the wall cafe. Everything on the menu & on display looked and sounded delicious so it was hard to make a decision. I ended up ordering an iced coconut mocha and a spicy tuna musubi. The prices weren't overpriced and the service was great. Very friendly and patient especially with coming for my first time I didn't know what to get. The iced coconut mocha was very good. Sweetened just right, and a hint of coconut.it was perfect for an early morning coffee. The musubi was delicious. Spicy enough to give that hint of spice, but not too spicy where my son really enjoyed it too. The taste of everything was YUM. I will definitely keep this place as my go to place. Also heard there's an upstairs cafe, so I can't wait to try it out one day!

One of my go-to cafes to study & work from. They have plenty of seating with free wifi, outlets at some tables, and a bathroom. You can place your order on the ground floor and bring your food upstairs. The whole upstairs seating area is gorgeous - there's lots of greenery and it's open air and you can look down onto the street at some of the window tables. The matcha latte is on the sweeter side with a slight graininess to it. The scones are around $3.50 each and they have a nice caramelized outside and fluffy inside. The Aloha Breads are pretty big and stuffed. The workers are all super kind and helpful. They also recently opened a location in Kaimuki, next to Juicy Brew!

Sadly, it seemed more folks were there for the pastries though. First off, I'm surprised I found such a fabulous cup of coffee in what feels like the epicenter of tourist life on this island. While visiting another island nearly establishment had signage stating they served Kona and/or Hawaiian coffee, but nearly every establishment's coffee was absolutely awful. Seeing the location I fully expected them to phone in the coffee, but it's clear that coffee comes first here, even if many of the guests are trying to get pastries! You'll be shocked by the line, but just know the staff is efficient and it moves fast. They offer a variety of their own locally roasted beans here, with options for batch brew, espresso drinks and even pour overs (impressive considering the volume of customers). The coffees are well described and the baristas have the additional knowledge you may be seeking when you order, and all in all this went as quickly as I could have expected. Truly, the coffee was delightful, and the fact I was drinking a hot drink on an extremely hot day didn't even phase me. I wanted so badly to bring home a bag of each one, but given that everything is more expensive in Hawaii, these were all 4x the price of the specialty coffee I buy on the mainland and I just couldn't make it happen. What will happen is me telling everyone to visit this shop when they're in Hawaii because it is 100% worth it. Won't you consider opening one in Reno NV?

I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.
