Wow! When I walked in the first thing I noticed was the decor. The shop was so nicely furnished. I love the modern look with wood tables. We got the Hokkaido Cheese Tart $4.50, Soy Milk Pudding Matcha Parfait $8.90 and an Iced Matcha Latte Okinawa Boba large $9.50 with oat milk + $1.00. The matcha parfait was delicious. I loved the soy milk pudding with matcha gelato and matcha kinako warabi mochi. The mochi was so soft and tasty. The cheese tart was also very good. It had a soft cream cheese center. I wasn't feeling the matcha latte. For some reason they made it half sweet. I couldn't taste the sweetness at all. The next time I'll be sure to ask for it to be 100% sweet. The matcha was smooth and I could tell that it was high quality matcha. The color of the matcha was a vibrant emerald green and there was no bitterness. Maruwu Seicha Moili'ili is conveniently located near University, and the second store following the flagship store in Waikiki. This was my first time trying this place, and despite being open for a few months now, it's still so popular that it frequently runs out of items. They also stop making drinks 15 minutes to closing, so we couldn't order anything aside the gelato which ran out of their popular matcha no. 3 flavor. I was somewhat disappointed that even though we came before closing, they weren't accommodating to paying customers and allowed them to have access to their menu choices. I had what little they had left of the matcha no. 3, along with pistachio matcha and the Hokkaido milk. Out of the 3, the no. 3 was the best. I expected more from the Hokkaido milk vanilla, wishing it to be rich and creamy like the real vanilla ice cream from that province, but it was okay at best and left more to be desired. very excited about this king street location so I don't need to go to Waikiki to try. very cute place that gives you the zen vibe. matcha pistachio gelato is very delicious. the drinks are good too however they need to work on consistency. almost everytime I order something is missing ... my americano matcha with snowtop had no coffee .... !! I got the yuzu matcha soda 3 times, the first time it had crystal boba as advertised but the other 2 times didn't. all these times i didn't know until i already drove away so I couldn't go back and ask. the parfait is delicious too but it comes pretty petite. can't wait to see them finally having soft serve to go with my matcha! perhaps I'll wait a little to go back when training is more complete. read more

On 07/19/26 I tried the Strawberry Matcha Latte, half sweet, with almond milk and Matcha soft serve of Pistachio gelato! 5/5 stars here! Smooth and delicious combination. Please try this combination. On 07/23/26- I selected a Yuzu Matcha Soda with Crystal boba. It's an "Exclusive in Hawaii" drink. 4/5 stars. It's definitely a strong Matcha and Yuzu flavored drink. I could have easily watered it down with more ice. I drank this refreshing beverage slowly to let the ice melt. Service is 4.5 stars here. The trash can was full today 07/23/26 and the unisex bathroom was unclean. I think this place is very busy. Hopefully, a clean up routine will be established soon. Came here last week to see what all the buzz was about, since they opened two locations rather recently. Parking is free and easy in the structure located around the side of the complex. The interior is brightly lit and designed in a trendy way. We ordered an Ube matcha latte and the parfait. The matcha latte itself had good matcha flavor and wasn't too sweet. I was extremely disappointed by the parfait which looked like a kiddy cup of soy milk gelato and soy jelly with miniscule amounts of other little accoutrements. The soy flavored dessert elements were mediocre. The best thing about that kiddy cup sized parfait was the matcha no. 3 gelato, which I would get separately. I mean, it's a nice franchise and this location is great for university students who want a quick matcha and sit to study there. The desserts are not impressive. Their tarts are laughably small, too, and did not look appetizing. I don't think I'd go out of my way to have this again though. read more

Amazing matcha! I got the matcha latte with the snow top and 100% recommend the snow top. It's a layer of cream cold foam that makes such a big difference! There's free parking inside the structure, and there were a lot of people studying/working when I went. It's a lot bigger inside than I thought- there's a lot of seating and space. I had to check out this place since Nadine, Irene and Jackie gave this establishment 5 Stars . New trendy spot I guess located next door to Jersey Mikes and Raising Cain. Ground floor of the UH Hale Mahana apartments. I just stopped to try their cheesecake tart and it was well worth it . Very light not too sweet and creamy cheesecake taste. They also sell UBE along with Matcha . Personally I'm not a Matcha guy so I decided to pick up 3 cheesecake tarts to take home . Love this place! I ordered the strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and it was so good! You can customize the sweetness level to your liking and the drink had the perfect matcha level. I don't like it when the drink tastes too milky and this had a great matcha taste. The cafe itself is super cute and had a decent amount of seating. Maruwu Seicha is located in the Hale Mahana building in University Square near the Jersey Mike's restaurant. The interior is gorgeous. It's a beautiful and relaxing space. I have typically picked up my drink and quickly departed, but I could definitely envision myself during my college days posting up at a table and enjoying my drink as well as the ambiance. I've visited Maruwu Seicha twice and both times ordered the large Strawberry Matcha Latte with oat milk. It's fantastic. A social media ad got me obsessed. I love Matcha so I was on a mission to find this place! Maruwu Seicha is located at the corner of University and S King St. You can't miss it with the green and white umbrellas outside with outdoor tables and chairs. Inside has a beautiful ambiance of Japanese touch. It was busy when I came here on a Sunday afternoon. All the tables were filled. There are counter seats that sits 4-5 people. Parking- The entrance is off of S King St. when you see the umbrellas, take the first right on Kahuna Lane and you'll see the parking entrance. Parking is free but the stalls are tight. There are limited "retail parking" stalls since the structure is for residents as well. I had to get the matcha latte with matcha soft serve OMG, one of the best matcha latte I've had, maybe because I've never had matcha soft serve on my matcha latte before! It was a perfect blend with oat milk. The matcha had just the right amount of "bite". Okay, if you love "crunchy" ice like me, they have it and it was a bonus for me I had to try one of the cheese tarts since that was one of their signature items. The Hokkaido Cheese tart was amazing! On this National Pink Day don't be green with envy as I'm certainly tickled and thrilled to see Maruwu Seicha has opened its second location in Moili'ili on the ground floor of Hale Mahana. I'm so impressed of they transformed this spot to a cool zen vibe with lots of various types of seating from a community table, counter seating, individual two tops and several outdoor seating as well. Their menu options are unique as well using Kyoto Matcha in different ways from the usual latte to Sodas, adding soft serve or snow top including some exclusive matcha as well. It has been quite to scorcher so I decided on a soda...Yuzu Matcha Soda to be exact which is exactly that with crystal boba, and as this sip is almost to stunning to start I just couldn't resist the refreshing sip that had a very prominent yuzu kick and I loved it. I just couldn't resist t resist also their Uji Matcha Cheese Tart a delicate treat that was certainly the perfect size. This is Maruwu's 2nd location in Oahu and they have a convenient parking garage on the left side. The interior is cozy and perfect for studying or working on a laptop. They offer medium and large sizes for the drinks. I ordered the pistachio matcha and I love how they infused the whole milk with pistachio. It's creamy and gets a 5/5 from me. You can taste both the pistachio and matcha. I usually am hesitant to order drinks without a cream top since it's usually watered down but this is not the case at all. I highly recommend! Checked out the new Maruwu Seicha in Moʻiliʻili and had a good experience. I ordered the regular iced matcha latte with soy milk and Hokkaido snow top. The matcha had a nice earthy flavor and wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. I also tried the Uji matcha, Hokkaido, and ube cheese tarts, and they were all delicious. The shop is clean and spacious, making it a nice place to hang out or study. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. I'm glad they opened a location outside of Waikīkī since it's much more convenient, and the parking is a huge plus. My only downside is the price. My matcha latte came out to about $9.50, and the three cheese tarts were another $12-13, so it can add up pretty quickly. Overall, I'd still come back for the quality matcha and tasty desserts. The matcha ice cream is delicious and rich. Ambiance and service make it worth the price, even though it's a little on the higher side (I think almost 10 bucks). As a chain from Japan and with a pre-existing branch in Waikiki, I had high expectations from Maruwu Seicha's Moili'ili branch that did not disappoint. They have parking inside the plaza and a spacious interior with beautiful natural grain wood furniture. The building has free parking, but the parking area is very tight. There are a lot of choices on the menu. The matcha ice cream taste is so rich and my order was perfect, just to my liking, I told my wife I will be a regular now. I ordered the matcha latte with soft serve. The dessert does not come like how the photo shows, instead, the ingredient was put inside two separated containers. It does not look like the photo at all, may be they ran out of large cup. The store is very clean, lots of seatings and has a bathroom inside. Free parking, but limited. You can park at stalls that marked reserve (confirm with cashier) and retail only. I already try their drinks at the Waikīkī location, and I am here for the parfait. The picture is very pretty and I thought it comes in a clear cup. But when I see the actual product, I was shock. It comes in the ice cream cup with one tiny scoop of red bean, two pieces of warabimochi and some tofu pudding at the bottom. I really like the soy milk and matcha ice cream. Honestly I was really looking forward to trying out this place. Sad to say it's only 2 star because the Hokkaido soft serve is the star. The actual cafe itself is very aesthetic pleasing but parking is an issue for sure. While I understand parking is limited that is not the reason I'm giving this place a 2 star. For a medium cup that filled with mostly ice and the soft serve is "2 1/2 pump (which is exactly what the person who was calling out the order number told me". She didn't offer me any solution other than dismissing me. She could have offer me as to if I really want more soft serve, I can pay a little more. For a medium cup of green tea with mostly filled with ice and small portion of soft serve that cost $9.50 is definitely not worth it. Especially when you're comparing the actual thing to the photo which is misleading. I also tried their Hokkaido cheese tart which is tasty but not something that I will eat again. Their special flavor which is Ube flavored was so-so. Tasted more artificial than the real thing. In the end, I wouldn't come back anytime soon. read more
