Refreshments in Honolulu, Hawaii... *Free covered parking *Clean, spacious, pleasant, bright interior *Convenient restroom *Efficient, friendly service *Quality products These are the most important components of a five-star experience for me. Add-ons for an excellent visit include comfortable indoor and outdoor dining areas, charging ports for customers, decorative lighting, appropriate decor, etc. Maruwu Seicha Moili'ili has it all! The soft serve was fresh and smooth! The parfait was beautiful and delicious! The yuzu matcha soda (Hawaii exclusive) was healthy and intense! Thank you, Irene, for suggesting that we meet here! Thank you, Cece, for a fabulous foodie adventure!

Maruwu Seicha's (second Moiliʻili location) will quickly become a favorite for its cozy, modern atmosphere, friendly service, and high-quality matcha drinks. First time visiting we decided to order the Yuzu Matcha Soda ($7.90), and the Matcha Pistachio Latte ($7.90). The matcha soda was not it for me. I realized I don't think I like carbonation with my matcha. The Latte however is my new favorite! I loved the creamy pistachio and bold matcha taste. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try any of the desserts this time, but I will definitely be back to try the Japanese cheese tarts and soft serve.

@fortunefoodfinds: "Never too MATCHA! A Hokkaido Matcha Latte + Snow Top, Yuzu Matcha Soda with Crystal Boba, n' an Uji Matcha Cheese Tart from MARUWU SEICHA who recently opened their second HI location off of S King St. a few weeks ago. Instead of driving in to the heart of Waikīkī, I can now go n' grab a seat in Moili'ili!" SERVICE: fully staffed INTERIOR: modern, clean, good amount of seating, great that you can sit n' enjoy your drinks at this location EXTERIOR: in the same area as Raising Cane's WAIT TIME: under 10 mins from placing order to receiving drinks PARKING: not sure if they have designated free parking since I got dropped off n' picked up OVERALL COMMENTS: been to their Waikīkī location a few times n' L.O.V.E. their drinks so when I found out they opened another location I had to stop by when I was in the area. Had to order my go-to Hokkaido Matcha Latte. Matcha is always top tier n' the snow top adds the sweet creaminess. Got the yuzu matcha soda for my hubz to try. It was different but he liked it. The uji matcha cheese tart definitely had a matcha n' cheese flavor. Would want to try the Ube one next. Maruwu Seicha remains in my rotation of matcha latte spots!

Checked out the new Maruwu Seicha in Moʻiliʻili and had a good experience. I ordered the regular iced matcha latte with soy milk and Hokkaido snow top. The matcha had a nice earthy flavor and wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. I also tried the Uji matcha, Hokkaido, and ube cheese tarts, and they were all delicious. The shop is clean and spacious, making it a nice place to hang out or study. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. I'm glad they opened a location outside of Waikīkī since it's much more convenient, and the parking is a huge plus. My only downside is the price. My matcha latte came out to about $9.50, and the three cheese tarts were another $12-13, so it can add up pretty quickly. Overall, I'd still come back for the quality matcha and tasty desserts. Next time I'll definitely try the matcha or hokkaido milk soft serve!

This is Maruwu's 2nd location in Oahu and they have a convenient parking garage on the left side. The interior is cozy and perfect for studying or working on a laptop. They offer medium and large sizes for the drinks. I ordered the pistachio matcha and I love how they infused the whole milk with pistachio. It's creamy and gets a 5/5 from me. You can taste both the pistachio and matcha. I usually am hesitant to order drinks without a cream top since it's usually watered down but this is not the case at all. I highly recommend! Service was friendly and drinks were prepared quickly. They also sell soft serve and Japanese cheese tarts.

Tickled pink... On this National Pink Day don't be green with envy as I'm certainly tickled and thrilled to see Maruwu Seicha has opened its second location in Moili'ili on the ground floor of Hale Mahana. I'm so impressed of they transformed this spot to a cool zen vibe with lots of various types of seating from a community table, counter seating, individual two tops and several outdoor seating as well. Their menu options are unique as well using Kyoto Matcha in different ways from the usual latte to Sodas, adding soft serve or snow top including some exclusive matcha as well. It has been quite to scorcher so I decided on a soda...Yuzu Matcha Soda to be exact which is exactly that with crystal boba, and as this sip is almost to stunning to start I just couldn't resist the refreshing sip that had a very prominent yuzu kick and I loved it. I just couldn't resist t resist also their Uji Matcha Cheese Tart a delicate treat that was certainly the perfect size. The whole vibe here is great staff is so nice and friendly and love that there's a place to relax, work or just get your matcha fix, they also have Hojicha and soft serve as well...there's just so Matcha to try here. Thank you!

All the drinks were great!! I went to both locations. My favorite is the Ube Matcha Latte Max and the pistachio matcha latte. The cheese tarts were good too

Fixed their soft serve machine the other day, so I tried the Match + Hokkaido Milk Swirl with matcha powder. I had the same ( minus the match powder sprinkle on top ) at their Waikiki shop...and it is equally refreshing. Service was a bit slow...it is their first week. The soft serve is quite sweet, but rich and creamy. The best soft serve on Oahu.

On this particular visit the BOBA was hard as rocks - literally - the matcha was good but idk what happened .... it was sometime last week-

Really great matcha drinks, ice cream and cheese tarts. Love the spacious cafe with tables and seating. Staff is friendly too.

Very good matcha! I got a matcha latte with matcha cream top and the default 50% sweetness was perfect. The interior was also very nice and pretty. Parking was decently easy to find on a weekday morning in the structure but I can see it getting crowded on a weekend. The drink is comparable in taste to the Waikiki location but parking is way better here so I would definitely come again.

Yesss! A good matcha iced latte. It is super matcha flavor and not just tastes like milk at all. Strong matcha tastes like Japan. I got matcha iced latte with soy milk regular sugar level :)! The drink was made very fast but tasted very good. Would highly recommend if you like traditional matcha flavor and less sugar.

This was $9 I wish I was kidding (and no I unfortunately did not eat any of it)

This was $9 and I wish I was joking (and no I did not eat any of it before taking this photo). The past few times I wanted to try the parfait because of the advertisement they have by the register but they were always out. Finally had it available and I wish it wasn't. It was literally half the size of the pictured photo and the lady working had an attitude.

This might be one of the only places in Waikiki open at 4 AM which is perfect if you've just arrived the night before from the East Coast. The inside of the shop feels homey. They have a display case full of pastries along with additional baked goods set out nearby. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas. As for the coffee, I would probably pass unless you prefer your drinks on the sweeter side.

It was less than three dollars including tax, so definitely affordable. The guava filling was great, but the donut itself was kind of bland. If it weren't so cheap, I would have given it three stars. The Lava Mocha is hands down my favorite mocha I've ever had. Rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. It was the reason I came back and waited! Mauna Kea Iced Coffee is my FAVORITE coffee of all time. I will be drooling over this coffee until I return. It has coffee, sea salt caramel, a scoop of ice cream, and black sea salt. Already it sounds delicious and it was. I finished my drink within 5 minutes. I didn't order any food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. The menu is extensive with plenty of options, making it a great place for brunch whether you're craving something sweet or savory. The café also has a small section selling Island Vintage merchandise, which is fun to browse while you're waiting. If you choose to sit outside, don't be surprised if a few birds decide to join you for breakfast and they're regulars too.. Overall, despite the longer wait for drinks, the quality of the coffee, inviting atmosphere, and tempting menu make this a spot I'd happily visit again.

This is the only standing Kulu Kulu and I hope this place does not close, or if it does relocate, come closer to Central Oahu where the rent is cheaper, haha (hint). This location is on the outer edges of Waikiki on Hobron Lane in Eaton Square. I rarely venture to Waikiki, and if I do make the dreaded drive to "town", this place and Kan Sushi will be the only regular places where I will make my stop(s), because its so worth it. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Kulu Kulu from the Shirokiya Food Court location with it's waffle bears and Hello Kitty waffles, the takeout Nama Chocolate cups stocked at Mitsuwa Marketplace and now here, in town. The Ube Coconut Mousse $6.95 blew our minds, it was THE best tasting thing, ever. Both the ube and the coconut were not cloying, and as with all of their treats, not overly sweet either. That's why I love Japanese pastries, they get the sweetness just perfect and I have no idea how they mastermind that ratio! Strawberry Panna Cotta $5.95 was creamy, flavorful, delicious and surprisingly light and refreshing for such a creamy dessert. I normally don't get this kind of combination of flavors, and it tasted like something you'd get in a Michellin-rated establishment. Looking back at the photos, I see vanilla bean seeds in the panna cotta, so every loving detail and nuance shows through with each mouthful. Nama Chocolate $5.75 is my go-to chocolate LOVE. It's cut into cool creamy semi-sweet squares dusted with cocoa and it melts in your mouth! This is my favorite of all things that Kulu Kulu makes. I actually enjoy this better than the famous Royce Chocolates from Japan. We ordered another seasonal Strawberry dessert slice cake but it was eaten before I could review (and/or taste it); I've heard it was very very delicious. This place is so good that I plan to bring my friends who will be visiting from Virginia here to try their pastries. I also plan to support this business for as long as I can and make more frequent trips to town just to get these amazing desserts.
