Cliff & Jerry were great with answering questions and when we said "it's too bad we can't pair that top with those legs they jumped in with "of course we can". We walked out with a bench for the foot of our bed and a custom walnut table with bespoke dimensions and base on-order far more affordably than I'd thought possible. That experience was fresh in our minds when Crate & Barrel delivered a 4th defective dresser (and a final straw in our patience with them) from their beautiful but deeply flawed Linea collection. We negotiated with Crate & Barrel to take back the entire bedroom set given the saga we'd been through, and placed an order for a new set with Gingko. Gingko had our bed and nightstands installed within the week, with a few more months to deliver another custom piece--a wider version of a standard dresser to better fit our space. We've now received everything and absolutely love them. The ability to work with the Gingko team to make tweaks to dimensions and design that fit our style and space has been incredible--all at same or better prices to what we found at Crate & Barrel, etc. While the range of designs is of smaller than what the big guys offer, the Gingko team punches well above their weight and their ability to tweak and customize pieces at reasonable price points makes them an easy recommendation for us to make to anyone shopping for quality walnut furniture!

He even graciously held the materials until our parallel construction dependencies were ready. The installation crew was highly skilled and completed the main structure in just two days. When a couple of Bromic heaters didn't work initially due to a faulty control switch, Bob and his lead installer followed up diligently over a few extra visits until it was perfectly resolved. However actually purchasing with them was an absolute nightmare of an experience. I purchase two items a bunkbed, and a king size bed frame. The bunkbed arrived with chips on the ladder. The delivery person tried to tell me that it was OK that the ladder had chips and I proceeded to let him know it was not OK and I took pictures of it so that I could send it to the store themselves. Once he saw me do this then he took the ladder down and he took it back to the warehouse to fix it. I had not heard from anyone for three weeks. I finally called the furniture store to ask them where my latter was, and they immediately they immediately delivered it within 48 hours. The king size bed however, was not nearly prompt. The bed was estimated to arrive within 4 to 6 weeks. I called them nine weeks after I purchased the bed that cost me a lot of money and I was told that they had tried to get in contact with me. I had never received any missed calls or any voicemail from the furniture store. Then once I did call them and follow up the bed was delivered to me within a week but it was missing the four drawers that were at the bottom. The delivery folks had attempted to call me but hung up after one ring and left my apartment when I did not open the door. Finally, I received the drawers two weeks after the bed and even then did not receive the phone call that was promised to me on what time they were delivered the drawers. The drawers were left outside of my door and I found them when I came outside. I found the service to be very poor. The follow up on the side of the furniture store was very slow, and I had to follow up many times in order to actually receive my furniture. I would not purchase from the store.

I am 81 years old and visually impaired from past cataract surgery. In November 2025, the owner sat in my living room and walked out with a $4,300 deposit check to reupholster a 20-year-old leather couch--an unjustifiable total quote of $8,600. For context, a comparable brand-new couch retails for under $2,000. I canceled the job within one week. Before the couch was ever picked up. Before a single material was ordered. Before one minute of labor was performed. They kept every single penny of my $4,300. I sued them in small claims court (Santa Clara County Case No. 26SC097661--a public record anyone can verify). In my sworn claim, filed months before trial, I explicitly stated I was never provided a written contract. Yet, at trial, the business conveniently produced a document containing a strict non-refundable clause that I had never laid eyes on. The signature resembled mine, but the only item I recall signing that day was my check. The judge strictly enforced their paperwork, meaning this business successfully and legally stripped an 80-year-old of $4,300 in exchange for absolutely zero work. Those are the documented facts. Look up the public record and draw your own conclusion. A final warning to families: If this owner is ever sitting in your mother or father's living room, do not let them sign a single document or write a check that day. My lesson in their business ethics cost me $4,300. Do not let your parents be next.
