But the **delivery turned into one of the most stressful and upsetting home experiences we've ever had**. There was **no delivery time slot provided**, no courtesy call, and when we reached out for an update, the **customer service was shockingly rude and indifferent**. Things only got worse once the delivery team arrived. Without any prior notice, they announced they could only take **one old mattress instead of both**, leaving us scrambling. We have a **one-year-old baby** and **child-proof gates** throughout the house -- yet the delivery team handled everything **roughly, carelessly, and without regard for our home or safety**. One of them dragged a mattress down the stairs **alone**, despite my repeated warnings. In the process, they **broke our child-proof gate** and left deep scratches on the walls. I was horrified watching it unfold. When I asked them to stop, they **ignored me and kept going**, until I finally had to **demand they leave our property**. It turned into a **scene no family should ever have to experience** -- shouting, chaos, and a genuine sense of being **threatened in our own home**. What was meant to be a joyful upgrade turned into an **emotional and physical mess**, leaving us shaken and furious. I bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress during a Black Friday sale for $3,100, with the promise that I could exchange it within 120 days for a firmer or softer version, only paying a $99 restock fee. When I returned after 90 days to exchange it, the new store manager suddenly claimed I had to pay an extra $900 (plus $99 + 3% of the original price) due to a "price change." When I told him this wasn't what I was originally told, he smugly said, "I guarantee you won't win." Then, moments later, he suddenly offered to "split" the $900 with me if I paid half--clearly trying to squeeze more money out of me. Frustrated, I called Sleepworld customer service to report this. They told me they would call back within 48 hours, but it's been four days now, and no one has followed up. Clearly, they don't care about customer service or standing by their policies. Thankfully, I went to the Sunnyvale Sleepworld, where the manager honored the original policy and processed the exchange with just the $99 fee--no hassle, no extra charges. This proves that the Mountain View store is just trying to rip off customers. Their lack of transparency, dishonest pricing tactics, and poor customer service make them completely untrustworthy. When my Grandfather called the store, he was greeted by a gentleman by the name Albert. All sound really good. My Grandfather explained what his needs were and after the call stated, " Albert was very knowledgeable, professional and very kind, And he would like me to drive him to Mancini Mt View to work with this gentleman regarding purchasing a new mattress." And no pressure. We liked that, and so we made plans to come to the store the next day. When we arrived at the store we were greeted by a Representative named Brittney. Unlike Albert, who was precise and answered our questions. Brittney stated one price regarding a mattress we were interested in, and later gave a higher price for the same mattress. She was all over the place conversation wise. I checked my phone and noted it was cheaper at Mattress Firm. The gentleman named Albert was precise and never wavered or changed the prices, which is why we came to Mancini because of him. I work in Marketing , and I was very impressed by Albert's knowledge and whole presentation . He's so genuine and people friendly. He has a gift! I came in a couple times in the last few months looking for a new bed. The first time I was helped by Brandon and he guided me through the process and testing the fit and feel of the various mattresses. A couple months later I had remembered all that testing and David helped me complete the process. I came in expecting to save because of the sales tax event, and he gave me an even greater discount for a very nice mattress and bed set up. The process to complete the purchase was very simple and the bed was delivered 2 days later. Mancini's Sleepworld is hands down the best place to buy a mattress in the south Bay Area. It's super COVID friendly and prepared, and make sure you ask for Cameron- he goes above and beyond for his customers (if you have trouble finding him, he's impeccably dressed from head to toe)! When I first arrived in my new apartment my first instinct was to look online for the best possible mattress both for the selection and price. Naturally you can imagine I came across multiple online mattress options, notably Purple and Nectar. There are some really excellent YouTube videos out there that go into detail about these different mattresses. However, you really have to try these mattresses in person to get a sense of how good they are for you. Mancini offers in person opportunities for you to try these popular mattresses. (In another review I could tell you how awful my experience was with the Purple mattress, although the Purple company does get major props for how easy the return process was. There was almost no support to the Purple mattress and I spent my first few nights at my new apartment sleeping on the carpet just because the purple mattress was way too soft for me!) This is when I started looking for an in-person mattress store. Of course I went to Yelp to find the best reviews for an in-store mattress company. I actually visited 2 Mattress Firm stores, one in Palo Alto and one in Menlo Park, and the selection just wasn't there. I remember the agent in Menlo Park trying to sell me an old mattress for $3000 from the store's back room...it didn't feel professional at all. This is where Mancini's Sleepworld came into play. I was so lucky to find a store with really excellent selection. The quality of the mattresses was superb and everything was clearly Covid-friendly and well-kept. However, the best part of the store was Cameron because he was able to explain so many details to me, like how to really prolong the lifespan of my mattress. Without him I wouldn't have realized the importance of a good foundation for the Tempur-pedic mattress I ended up getting. We were looking for a king size bed for our home and decided to drop into Mancini's to check out the different mattresses. David was super helpful and knowledgeable on all the beds. We brought our two kids with us on a Thursday evening and he was incredibly patient and kind to our entire family. He was polite and not super pushy as a salesman. He gave us space to discuss and peruse the floor while attending other customers as they came into the store. We had a lot of questions (especially when we found conflicting info on the internet-most was due to sponsored posts ). We found exactly what we wanted and he gave us a great deal. Me and my mother and sister came here a couple minutes ago from me writing this review and we were looking for a mattress, a man came to us and assisted us for a couple minutes like around 7/8ish minutes but during his assistance he was seemingly annoyed which was displayed in his tone although of course he kept his face normal, as well as his body language wasn't exaggeratedly annoyed but he did up and leave us when we were going to check out another mattress on the front right side of the store. It might've been due to the language barrier that might've annoyed him or how we walked away a little to look at another mattress that was a few feet away but it was a tad rude to do so and if an employee is annoyed for a not good enough reason then they are not quite fit to work there. When you're selling a product that everyone knows is marked up 500% and you're treated like shit? No, forget that. Anyway, back to Richard-Burt-Reynolds - he took care of us. MIL needed a bed, drawers for underneath instead of box spring, night stand/table and a dresser. All items ordered, delivery date set, and threw in a pair of expensive pillows to boot. He is very Patient... His attention to detail and how he makes things personable is so refreshing because instead of feeling like you are buying from a sales man you are buying from a friend and because of that I have referred him to all my family and friends. What also makes him go above and beyond for his clients is that during delivery when I had a question. I gave him a call and without hesitation he answered even on his day off (as I hear him playing with his son) and made sure I had my question answered. Even if he didn't know the answer or had a computer in front of him he made sure to call me back to made sure everything was taken care of and that the delivery ran smooth. And lastly, even after the mattress was delivered he checked in to see how everything was going. I am giving a one star because they did process the refund quickly. Dishonest, they offered to sell a floor model for full price and said there was a 9 year warranty. When the mattress didn't arrive on the day scheduled, I called and the salesman Brandon wouldn't answer. The guy on the floor set delivery for the following day. Nothing. I called the mattress manufacturer and learned they do not warranty floor models and that what I paid was full price. I called to cancel and the manager Carmen offered a new mattress for same price, when he sent the estimate he had taken off the sheets, mattress protector, pillows all the items they kept adding on to keep the sale. Delivery would be in 7-14 days, I had already waited 10 days. I declined as I do not do business with dishonest people. I drove to SF and went to Saatva. For more than half the price, great warranty, excellent customer service, I have a new mattress. Save yourself, don't deal with this company. read more
