Looking for the best Chinese cuisine ever and fast. This is the place. I have not tried anything from this restaurant and been disappointed. Everything's good but my go to the spicy dishes. Ordered from the wall. Spent about $36. Garlic shrimp combo had no garlic taste, the sweet and sour chicken was burnt, fried rice tasted of overdone soy sauce with no veggies. Shrimp lo mein came with 4 tiny shrimp. Cream cheese wonton were hard and burnt. The only good thing was the wonton soup and that only had 1 wonton in it and mostly broth. Maybe it's because they were busy and they did our order quickly but this is the worst chinese food I've ever had. Won't be returning and yes we did bring the food back to the restaurant. I believe it's the best Chinese here in Ennis. We ordered the following: Sweet & sour chicken. Pretty standard taste as most. Kung Pao chicken. Unique twist with added cabbage and a decent spicy level. Taste good. Orange chicken. My kids loved it and I was impressed that it actually has an orange flavor. Taste good. Beef Lo Mein. Probably the best beef lo mein I have had since we moved to Texas. Taste great. Cream cheese ragoon. Good. Strong cream cheese taste. Egg rolls. I wasn't impressed, but the Boss(my wife) likes them. I was on my way from Dallas, and had many options... Starbucks, Taco Bell, whataburger, subway, Wendy's... the list goes on. And I'm sick of fast food. I wanted something fast, without the toxic bs. So over it. I wanted quality food on the go. And I'm willing to pay for it. Fortunately while grabbing my coffee... I saw a little drive through that looked very ma and pa type. Not gonna lie, it's looked sketchy and not necessarily appetizing. The place looks fun down and the colors are grim and grimey.. esp the drive through part. But I figured, why not. Let's just give it a shot. I'm in the mood for ANYYHING besides all this junk. I pass by often so I do want to explore my options. I was pleasantly surprised. They had a good amount of options on the menu. And it was very reasonably priced-a deal for drive through and the quality. I order the #1 sweet and sour chicken. The food was so fresh and hot, I had to wait a bit for it to cool down. Everything was just super delicious. The chicken was nice and crispy. I also appreciate the gluten free soy sauce. A lot actually. The customer service was superb and it was ridiculously fast for the quality of food. Not sure on consistency or other items. The only thing I wasn't too excited about was the forks-that was bad quality. And they only give one scoop of rice. But it worked out cuz I didn't even finish it. It's not the type of food you can eat on your drive but it is quality for something so fast. And my meal with the drink, side item and roll was $7 something! That's like crazy good. I'm so happy I found a small business I'm excited about and enjoy the food. Whether or not you follow me, you can see I don't typically eat Chinese... and there's a reason for that. If I could give this 0 stars I would. I ordered beef fried rice and got a whole box of fried rice and 3 pieces of beef. The beef I did get had no flavor at all and looked like it was boiled. My boyfriend got chicken fried rice and that was even worse than mine. We also ordered an egg roll.. jack in the box makes better egg rolls. I definitely don't recommend this place to anyone definitely a waste of money and I will not be eating here again! read more

This is hometown Chinese. The staff and family that own the store is what makes it special. I like the sweet and sour chicken, it comes with sauce on the side. I also add a side of sesame sauce. The egg rolls are good but I would like them to cook it longer. I worry about the fresh pork inside sometimes still looks pink. The sauces that are used are bought premade, you can see the jugs. Yummy! One of my all time favorite, go to places! Since I can remember this has been the go to Chinese food place in town.

My fiance and I decided to give this place a try because The Wall in waxahachie is AMAZING. We walked in I ordered and asked for one thing for the peanuts to be cooked with the sauce. The cashier looked surprised, then who I guess is the manager quickly whips her head around and snidely says "we dont do that!". Me: oh I thought yall could the one is waxahachie does. She looks at me and says with so much attitude and say "we are The Wall Expess they are just the wall", then point at the menu and say "cant you see that?". Wow that's the way you talk to your customers? Never gunna go back to this place, especially since I saw smalls bug on the table and even found one crawling on me. Well, im lucky enough to live in Ennis where I can eat there whenever I feel. The food is some of the best "Fast Food" asian I have ever had. This place has average Chinese food and terrible service. They are hardly open, the staff is rude and if you try to call in an order they hang up on you or don't answer. I love the location in Waxahachie but after four separate bad experiences at this location and being yelled at over the phone to stop calling them I won't ever buy from this location again. They have the best egg rolls I've ever had! Their sweet and sour sauce is awesome too! Their Kung pow chicken is off tha chain compared to dishes from places in Dallas. Their Kung pow comes with more pieces of chicken, more variety of veggies, and is more flavorful and spicy than being more sweet. Their combination fried rice is something so good that I'm nearly inhaling it and I want more. Their combination lo mein is also fantabulous it's not too oily and the veggies that go into it actually look healthy instead of being all browned out to a pulp like some other places. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The grouchy white lady that works the drive thru window does nothing but complain the whole time you are in there. I walked in one night and her response literally was, "Oh great, now I have a customer inside when the drive thru is crazy busy." PLEASE FIRE HER. She does this every time. And the young girls that work in there are also very rude. They messed up my order and instead of fixing it, they tried to charge me for the meal all over again, saying that they were not going to fix my meal unless I paid for a new one. My only complaint is I wish they would offer delivery service because they would make a fair amount of $$$. This is my second incident with this place. The first time, I was rudely told that I need to let them know when I'm ordering my food, in the drive thru, if I want hot sauce. Letting them know at the window, is holding up the line, apparently. Now, yesterday, I spent $34 worth of food, 4 meals, and asked for some hot sauce and hot oil. I received one very small hot sauce. I asked the girl, so I'm supposed to use this one single hot sauce, for all 4 meals?!?! I was then told by the owners daughter that I would have to pay for any further hot sauce after the one single one. Are you kidding me?!? This has been the most selfish and greedy restaurant since the new owners have taken over. The Wall in Waxahachie is so much better anyway, so that's where I will go spend my money from now on! Never any problems with them and their food tastes better! Don't recommend the Ennis location at all!! read more

I am not from Ennis - I am from a medium-sized town in west Texas that has about ten Asian restaurants - some really good, and some what I have always referred to as Cheap Chinese Buffet - cheap offcuts of meat with improbable vegetables in slightly differentiated sauces. I expected Cheap Chinese Buffet from Wall in Ennis, TX - so my expectations were not high. I have been through the drive through twice and ordered two different dishes. I thought the first time was a fluke. It wasn't. The service was friendly but slow enough that you would expect they were actually cooking your dish especially for you. Don't get excited - they're not. I give the nice lady at the drive through window half a star. For one large entrée, which is a take-out carton packed with food and sauce and about a cup of fried rice, plus an order of four cream cheese wontons, expect to pay about $12 - no drinks. $13.50 with egg roll. The cashew chicken is pieces of fatty chicken sliced thin the wrong direction so they're chewy - thin-sliced fatty-chewy chicken with cashews, carrots, zucchini, celery, and water chestnuts in a mystery sauce. The kung pao chicken is thin-sliced fatty-chewy chicken with peanuts, carrots, zucchini, celery, and water chestnuts in the same mystery sauce with one sickly looking Chinese pepper draped across the top and some cayenne pepper flakes. The Kung Pao chicken was actually distinguishable from the cashew chicken only by that sad little pepper. It was not spicy. The 'fried rice' is some kind of pre-packaged knockoff Rice-a-Roni - whatever Costco carries in place of Rice-a-Roni. Soy sauce cannot save it. The mystery sauce - and this stunned me because I did not think it possible - actually made it worse. The egg roll is not the worst I've ever had...but I bet they know each other. Well. The cream cheese wontons were actually good. Nice and crispy, and the cream cheese/onion filling was tasty. I give it the other half of the star. The sad fact is that the prepackaged bulk-purchase fortune cookie is actually the best part of the meal. The zucchini and carrots were pretty well stewed mush when I got this stuff home and cracked it open - which is to be expected, considering they were probably half-stewed when they landed in the carton. The celery probably would still have had a little crunch if I had not had to unload a few bags of groceries before we sat down to eat. We ate the cashews and some of the chicken pieces and the water chestnuts and celery out of the cashew chicken. We threw the kung pao chicken out after a couple bites each. It's just not good, and nor is it in any way authentic. And it was an expensive experiment, considering most of it went into the trash. read more

Took my mother there last night for the first time. She really likes Chinese fried shrimp. When I asked the woman at the counter for some fried shrimp she told me they don't have fried shrimp. I ordered orange chicken on my visit, and I must say its the worst I've ever had. Chicken was over cooked,I gave it back and I was told the glaze makes it that way so I was served the chicken with the sauce on the side. If you have ever had good orange chicken or sesame chicken it glazed with the sauce and will be tender. It's like they cook the chicken leave under a heating light and when ordered they just pour the sauce over the chicken and serve clearly not the way it should be prepared. read more
