As a recommendation from my neighbor I called Wall H&A in Lawrenceville to check out my upstairs Heat Pump. The technician came promptly for a twenty minute visit. He immediately told me I needed a new capacitor. He did not check the freon, etc. A new capacitor was installed and the Heat Pump seemed to be back to normal. I was charged $340.95 for the twenty minute visit ($296.00 for the part and $44.95 for "diagnostic). After he left I bought online an exact capacitor, same part number, guaranteed and delivered for $19.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is highway robbery. Be aware there are more reputable companies that will do the work for a fair price. I am a senior disabled veteran. read more

I have used Wall heating and Air conditioning company for 10 years. They service the air conditioners in the Spring and Heating units in the fall. They are prompt, affordable and friendly. We used Wall Heating & Air for years and trusted them every time they said we needed a repair, a new unit, etc. At the point that Wall said we needed a new furnace, we got a second opinion. The other company said our furnace was absolutely fine and that we did not need a new system. When we called Wall Heating & Air to report what the other company said, their response was unprofessional and not helpful. Several years later, we still have the same furnace! Always nice to go with smaller companies, but I'd stay away from this one (or get a second opinion before having any major repairs or replacements done). read more

Last Saturday, I was in a real bind. My air conditioning system stopped in the middle of the "heat wave". The only company that could squeeze me in was Wall. I am very thankful that they did. I did have to tell the repairman that he had to wear a mask in my home. He seemed to be reluctant about it and stated he was vaccinated. He didn't have a mask so I provided him with one. He managed to get my AC working. It turns out the circuit board on the unit had to be replaced but the technician, Wolfgang was able to create a work around until he could replace the circuit board. I was very appreciative. He said that I would receive a call back on Monday after they located the part. I didn't receive a call back until Wednesday which they apologized for, no harm nor foul my AC was still working so I was good. At least until I was told what I would have to pay $325 just for labor to have the circuit board replaced (the part itself was covered under warranty). I had just paid $125 for the service on Friday. I was quickly told that it would have been $700 if the part wasn't covered, it is hard to get the part and they already had the part. So, I reluctantly agreed to get it repaired. To add insult to injury, Wolfgang came back again without a mask (surely he couldn't have forgotten in 2 days). I sent him back to his truck to get it this time, I didn't provide one. But, when I found out that it took him just under 20 minutes to replace it, I felt very taken advantage of. After he finished the work, my attic was left open with the light on. When I brought it up to Wolfgang, he said that he would take care of it. But, once I paid for the service, he walked right out the front door leaving me to take care of my attic and light. I went up there to find out that not only did my $325 not cover him putting the attic back the way that he found it and turning the light off. It also didn't even cover a new filter. The 3 stars was really for the 1st day of service. The 2nd day of service doesn't deserve any stars at all. I have to say that when I provided the review via text, I did receive a call from someone at Wall. The first thing she asked was if I meant to give them a bad review. I immediately said that I wasn't happy about today's visit. So, I told her everything in this review. She gave me a quick apology and said that she would call Wolfgang and let him know. I am not sure if I would use them again. I feel taken advantage of. But the sad news is that everyone is doing it. So, not sure if any other AC places are any different. I have been consistently been taken advantage of when it has come to getting work done to my AC unit. read more

We have used Wall Heating & Air for about 20 years now, over the course of three houses and recommended them to many people. They always seemed fine until recently. We purchased a new thermostat (on our own) and decided to install it. Before installing, I called to confirm about the details of our unit. I inquired about if we had back up heat and a heat pump with our air handler. They told us yes, and we looked at all previous visits, which indicated the same by the technician. So we installed it and it seemed to be just fine. Then a week later, we noticed cold air coming out when heat was on. Unsure of the problem, my mother called them and they said a technician was in the area and could stop by. He spent under thirty minutes here and took only a couple of minutes to see there is obviously no heat pump. So why was it indicated we always did on reports? He quickly moved over a wire or two and was done. We had a full contract, so we receive the member's price for paying everything up front as a part of their policy, well that tiny visit cost us over $123. We were shocked. We called the next week to inquire about this, and was told the technician had to completely rewire things, which was incorrect. They then said he had to remove the unit, which was also false. I told them we wouldn't have put it on heat pump, if they hadn't told us it had one. They responded saying the woman answering the phone knows nothing. He also said whoever installed our thermostat should have enough common sense to know we don't have a heat pump! We were quite displeased by this large cost and horribly unprofessional customer service, as the reason the tiny wire or two was for heat pump, was because they told us time and time again we had one. Sure, she may not have known, but what is the reason every technician that has come has indicated it as well? He didn't give any other reasons and ended our call. That is horrible customer service. We will most likely not be renewing after all this time by the way it was handled. We will make sure to tell all those we recommended them to, to do so as well. I understand having to pay a small fee maybe for coming out, even if right near by for 15 minutes, but wow...they must not want customers to stay around anymore. So much for customer loyalty. read more
