(3.5 stars) The hours are limited and the location small, dated, and easy to miss - it's in an industrial park set back from the road - but Wallstreet Deli seems to do brisk business nevertheless. Part of that is due to its proximity to area businesses although the friendliness of the folks working here certainly helps too. The same family that owned Jack's Corner near UNCG owns this place. In light of that and of how long they've been around, I really wanted to like Wallstreet Deli. Ultimately, I found it to be solid if not impressive. Though Wallstreet bills itself as a New York-style deli, it really isn't much of one, and if you head in expecting that experience, you'll leave disappointed. Approach it as a sandwich shop with some Mediterranean/Middle Eastern offerings, however, and it acquits itself much better. The menu features hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, salads, plus souvlakis, gyros, kababs, and falafel. I was craving a cheesesteak, and the steak and cheese combo with fries fit the bill nicely. Even after adding mushrooms (an upcharge), it still came out under $15 pre-tax. I took it to go and found it satisfying. The sandwich offered a decent amount of meat and plenty of flavor. The fries were OK - not as crisp as they could be but not underdone or undersalted - though I would probably skip them on a future visit. Wallstreet Deli is a fast, friendly, fairly tasty lunch option for anyone in the vicinity of the airport, but take proximity out of the equation, and you can find better Mediterranean and better sandwiches elsewhere in town. read more

For someone who has been in Greensboro the majority of their life, I've never heard of this place before today. By looking at the reviews, I think the same goes for a lot of people. Most reviews are years old. Here's to hoping this review helps! This place really deserves more attention. It is in an industrial park and not easy to see. The restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of parking spaces, but you can park in the large lot in front or behind and take a short walk. The first thing I noticed was the diversity of patrons. That's always a good sign. The lady at the counter greeted me with a cheerful smile and I could tell she knew a lot of the regulars and their orders as they came to the counter. The gentleman who brought my food out to me was very pleasant and engaged me in conversation. I tried the turkey Reuben with fries today. I give it 4 stars due to lack of meat. It had great flavor, but was loaded with sauerkraut and a thin slice of turkey. The fries were a little underdone for my liking but they weren't bad. From looking around the small dining area, I could see this was consistent with other patrons and the sandwiches they had on their plates, not a lot of meat. I will add this place to my lunch rotation now. I look forward to trying the other meals and being able to review some of those. read more

It's pretty good! Nothing overly special about this place. Just a good place for a quick lunch! I wanted a chicken Caesar wrap so I decided to try something new, came here - didn't realize it was so out of the way. The service was good, and the lady taking my order was friendly. My wrap was decent, could've used a little more dressing as it was kind of dry, it wasn't bad though, I finished the whole thing. Having had several friends recommend it, I visited Wall Street Deli recently for lunch. It's a small restaurant hidden away in a business park off of Friendly Avenue. Luckily there's a large sign on the street or you would never know it was there! We ordered the gyro and the deluxe gyro plate to go. The plates come with fries and salads. The feta was at an extra charge. The deluxe comes with double meat and sauce.. It is huge. Would recommend the regular gyro as it was a good portion too. Flavors were great and fresh. Prices were a bit on the higher side... Definitely get what you pay for though. We will be back! read more

This is a small cute lunch spot that is hiding off in an older strip mall. I came for lunch with a friend and I got the chicken salad on a sub roll with provolone cheese, fries and a drink (about $11-12). The chicken salad is prepared fresh and not some store bought junk. It had nicely diced tri color bell peppers within it and was creamy. I was relieved that there were no nuts or fruit inside the mix. The fries were hot and crispy, freshly cooked. I finally stopped in for lunch after having Wall Street Deli on my list for quite some time. The staff was very nice, friendly and engaging. They were busy but service didn't suffer. Order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I ordered the kabob lunch special, one chicken and one beef. Both proteins were perfectly cooked, tender and juicy and the tzatziki was awesome. They charge a dollar for feta on the salad but it was worth the extra buck. Loved the fries and the salad dressing as well. It's a bit hard to find this place and parking is a pain with no dedicated lot but I'd go back! read more

Went for lunch. Parking was the biggest conundrum, as there doesn't seem to be many "legitimate" parking spaces. Not much Wall Street Deli can do about it, though. I think what many do is park on the side of the driveway, or park in the area where offices are located. The cashier was excellent in offering different options on/off the salad (i.e., bacon, what type of cheese, etc.). We had salads - the lettuce was fresh and mostly iceberg with some romaine. Nothing outstanding, but again, it WAS fresh. The chicken was seasoned well. The cost for each salad came to $10 which seemed high, considering it wasn't fancy lettuce and I was eating it out of a plastic container with plastic utensils. Each salad came with warm pita which had been lightly seasoned and "buttered" (maybe it was oiled, but was excellent). They should sell these by themselves; it melted in my mouth. The ambiance was fairly bland, and the bathrooms were clean. They were doing a steady business on a Thursday at noon. I wouldn't hesitate to go again if I'm in the area. read more

Visited this place for the first time in a number of years, and was quickly reminded that there serve up some pretty good food, at very reasonable prices. They are tucked back in a business complex with absolutely no visibility from Friendly Road, and there is only a small sign pointing you toward their restaurant. We tried their Reuben ($5.79, no side) and this is a nice, full sized version on nicely grilled rye. The taste was excellent. We also gave the Steak & Cheese a shot ($5.29, no side) and this is an huge sandwich, especially for this price, and it has great flavor, but could use a little more cheese. They offer a variety of sandwiches, a burger, gyros, kababs, salads, and more. Sides include FFs, Onion Rings, Pasta Salad, Chips, and more. You can have your sandwich as a platter for $2.49 more, and this adds FFs and a salad, or you can add a drink and chips for $2.19 more. And their FFs are pretty darn good. They are open Mon - Fri from 10:30 to 2:30, and they do offer delivery with a $10 minimum required. Nice friendly people, very good service. Plenty of seating, including outside. Gave this place a shot because I was feeling I needed a change in my work lunch routine. Was torn between a Philly cheese steak and a Reuben, ultimately went with the Philly. Will try the Reuben another time. Keep in mind this place is only open for lunch Monday to Friday. Definitely designed primarily as a lunch stop for the area industries. There is a sign, but it is easy to miss. It is in the red brick office complex, on the very edge of the middle row building. The BEST way to make sure you can find it easily, is to turn into the industrial complex at the entrance between the traffic lights of Chimney Rock rd and Old Friendly rd. If you turn into that entrance, you just have to stay straight and will see it on your right. Philly was good, steak was really well cooked and seasoned, there is not as much of it as their appears to be in my picture because it is resting on lettuce and tomato. The sandwich could DEFINITELY use more cheese. I saw it on top, could barely taste it. I think next time id tell them to go no lettuce. The lady working the counter said many of her customers order it with double meat and cheese, and I can see why now (by the way, she could not have been more friendly, she was really helpful and enthusiastic). But being a firm believer in trying the base model when going with a place for the first time, i did not opt to double up this go round. I splashed a bit of hot sauce and the flavor was just right. Good fries, not great, but cooked right and salted. Ultimately, this review can become a 5 if the Reuben knocks my socks off. read more

Wow, really hard to find as its in a industrial office complex ..we almost gave up. Pretty ok, my gyro was very, very salty (and I love salt)...I also have never had the cucumber sauce already on the gyro, this makes it warm and runny, not very appetizing. The fries are fresh, my daughter really liked her cheese and turkey sandwich (yeah she is a daredevil when it comes to food). She really liked the brownie and the baklava is really good. Nice little deli located in an industrial park near HondaJet. We stopped in and they offer a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. Greek seemed to be the theme for the food selection even though the owners are Palestinian. Ordered the chicken philly sub and it was tasty. Co-worker had the Greek salad topped with chicken and it was also good. The place was packed for lunch, and the counter was busy fielding to go orders, so the locals seem to support this place which is always a good sign. Parking could be a problem since the place could get very packed around lunch. They servers are very friendly and nice. The menu is interesting, but it's not a deli menu. I ordered the chicken kebob with salad and fries from the January lunch special menu. And the second time I ordered a cheese burger. Both times the food was over cooked. The fries on the first visit had no salt but on the second was over salted. My first time, I did not realize that they had 2 different menu nor had other drinks than just fountain as the fridge is far away from the register. Lots of space to sit, you order then go sit and they bring you the food. Over all, I would go back for the convenience and friendliness of the people there. If it was more organized and consistent, it would deserve a higher rating. read more

This has to be my favorite deli in town. I've eaten here about 5 times and I was surprised I hadn't gotten around to reviewing. Maybe I wanted to keep it to myself but it's just too good. About 40+ sandwich options plus homemade sides like potato salad (southern and German), macaroni, carrots and dip or chips, baked beans and probably a few others I haven't yet tried. Seems all the meat is Boars Head, which if not familiar is a great brand. You can alter anything on the sandwich (swap the bread, condiments, toppings, hot or cold etc.) to your preference. Seems like a traditional New York style deli, and the prices, options, and taste keep us coming back for more. Parking can get tight so especially when college is in, you may want to go outside the traditional busy times which hey, I usually prefer anyhow to avoid long wait times. My two faves? The Italian all the way hot and the hot bologna (swap the cheese for a sharp cheddar or spicy jack, and get the deli mustard instead of yellow). read more

I had the Chicken Hoagie and I was not disappointed, the sandwich was hot and delicious. I can tell there are many regulars as the lady taking orders greets customers by name. I went in around 11:45-12:00 and the place was not hectic like other places and that may have something to do with the location. Wonderful. The cucumber sauce is delicious. The falafel is garlicy but very good and they make it in smaller pieces so its good for small bites! If you have not tried the new beef kebob skewers here you really are missing out. I usually always have chicken kabobs wherever I go but when I heard that they use petite fillet cut for the beef kebob I knew I had to try it. The taste is very complex, it has the integrity of the beef flavor but the marinate which consists of a lot of ingredients gives you that soothing after taste. The tender and juiciness of this is unreal, it is amazing, I am able to take a whole bit bite and get it over with within a matter of seconds. I always judge the salad by the quality of the produce and as you can see the produce is fresh. The feta cheese on the salad is a very nice complement and so is the vinaigrette, I dunk my greens onto it when my palates desire that extra acidic kick. I notice people dunk the meat in the cucumber sauce but the meat is so nicely seasoned it does not need any extras. I would drizzle cucumber sauce a little bit on to the salad to add that extra creaminess. The prices are fair and more importantly you can literally eat here and be back to work because they will give your food out in a timely manner. read more
